Whether accidental or planned, adventure most of the time offers thrilling and overall pleasing experience; though, exceptions do exist. Below provided is a brief description of the types of adventures you can experience in your life.

  • Unplanned or Accidental Adventure

This is the kind of adventure that may present itself at a time when it is least expect and also to a person who isn’t very adventurous at heart.

For instance, just suppose that you went to see an ailing relative residing in another town, say a couple of miles away. You got late and were able to start your return journey only after sundown. Since you were running late, you decided to take a shortcut that runs through a forest, to save a few miles and of course time. Just when you are halfway through the dense forest, suddenly you realize that the car started pulling to one side of the road.

The thought of having a flat tire in the middle of the forest engulfs your already nervous mind. You took out your phone to make a distress call to a relative or a friend, but to your surprise, you realize that there is no network. But, fortunately, help came in the form of a trucker who also chose the least traveled forest road. However stressing or scaring the experience may have been, in your heart you very well know that it was nothing short of an adventure.

  • Planned Adventure

Planned adventure is an activity that a person deliberately takes part in, just to experience the sheer thrill and experience. A planned adventure has comparatively less risk involved as all the required safety parameters all also considered. Biking through a mountain or just photographing wildlife are some of the planned adventure’s examples.

There are also several other examples of activities that offer a good amount of adventure, like – horse riding, mountain biking, boating, bungee jumping, river rafting, Paragliding,  sky diving, scuba diving, and other similar activities.

There could be several other examples where adventure is planned and deliberate.

Effects of Adventure

Despite having a certain amount of risk involved, the adventure has a very positive effect on mind and health. Though a little scary, the experience leaves one in awe and a high level of adrenaline. A sudden rush of adrenaline is essential for improving one’s mental state of mind, making him/her more confident and happy.

Adventure sports are stress busters and help in elevating the mood, eliminating stress and worry. Routine involvement in adventure activities will completely change one’s life for good. Though, it is also very important that all the essential safety measures must be taken well care of.

Adventure teaches you to stay cool and composed under the most demanding of situations. When you are exposed to critical situations, you gradually learn to deal with it and emerge victoriously. Any kind of adventure lets you overcome your fear and become strong.

Adventure is a wonderful activity that could change your perspective of life and makes you more confident and robust. It brings out the best in you by exposing it to a challenging, risky yet satisfying experience.

Our trip started with hiking through a dense forest. The forest was full of tall trees, colorful flowers, and chirping birds. The trail was steep and rocky, and we had to be careful while walking. The forest was so dense that we could hardly see the sun, and the air was full of freshness. We had to take breaks in between to catch our breath and hydrate ourselves. As we walked, we could hear the sound of a river, and after a few hours of hiking, we finally reached the river. The river was wide and had a strong current, and we had to cross it to continue our journey. We had to be careful while crossing the river, and we held hands to maintain our balance. The water was cold, and we could feel the current pushing us, but we made it to the other side, feeling proud of ourselves.

Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and rough terrain, the trip was a memorable and rewarding experience. We had to face unexpected rain and strong winds, which made the climb more challenging. We slipped a few times, but we managed to keep going, motivated by the thought of reaching the summit. The journey was long and tiring, but the memories we created were worth it. We bonded with our fellow travelers, shared laughter, and created memories that we will cherish forever. The trip taught us to be resilient, to push ourselves beyond our limits, and to appreciate the beauty of nature.

In conclusion, my adventurous trip was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to explore the beauty of nature, push my limits, and create memories that I will cherish forever. Hiking through a dense forest, crossing a river, and reaching the summit of a mountain were challenging but rewarding experiences. Despite facing unpredictable weather and rough terrain, we persevered and created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. The trip taught us the importance of resilience, perseverance, and appreciation for the beauty of nature. It was an experience that I will always treasure and would love to relive again.

My Adventurous Trip Essay Example #2

Hiking was one of the most exciting activities of the trip. We started our hike early in the morning, and the trail was challenging, but the view was worth it. The trail led us through dense forests, and we saw wildflowers, butterflies, and birds along the way. We stopped for a break at a small waterfall, and the sound of the water was soothing. As we continued our hike, we came across a steep incline, which was physically demanding, but we pushed on. At the peak, we were rewarded with an incredible view of the valley below. The sense of accomplishment we felt after completing the hike was indescribable.

Camping was another activity that added to the adventure of the trip. We set up our tents near a lake, and the view was breathtaking. We spent the night sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories. The night sky was clear, and we saw countless stars, which was a beautiful sight. The next morning, we woke up early to go kayaking on the lake. The water was calm, and we saw fish jumping out of the water. We even saw a family of ducks swimming nearby. Kayaking was a peaceful and relaxing experience.

In this essay, I will describe my trip in detail, highlighting the challenges and the rewards that came with it.

The final part of my adventurous trip was the sense of accomplishment that came with it. After several hours of hiking, navigating challenging terrain, and enduring unpredictable weather, we finally reached our destination. The feeling of standing in front of the waterfall, surrounded by the beauty of nature, was indescribable. It was a sense of accomplishment that came from pushing ourselves beyond our limits, from facing our fears and overcoming them. We took pictures, laughed, and savored the moment. Every trip is an adventure and gives us joy. Going out on vacation may not mean a trip. A trip with adventures is completely different. Sometimes the vacation trip also becomes adventurous. Lots of things happen that amaze us. Also in adventures, many dangers take place.

I remember such an adventure I had. It was a horseback ride in the mountains. I was very young when we visited Shimla. We went to the Rohtang Pass. It snowed heavily that day. There was snow all around. So we had to take horses. We climbed high up the mountain. It was so lovely to see nature. I loved it. I remember my horseback ride till now.

Short Essay on My Adventurous Trip in 200 Words

I still remember one thrilling adventurous trip I had. I got scared when it happened. But I also enjoyed it a lot. I was very young when I visited Shimla. I did not know that the adventure would happen. So I just went on a vacation. We had a wonderful train journey to Shimla. Reaching there, we decided to visit Rohtang Pass.

I was so excited! We took a car and went to the slopes. I looked out of the windows. The car was gradually rising to the top. The road was spiel, like a big snake. Soon we reached the hilltop. I jumped out. That day it snowed. So it was all white. I was so happy to see the scene. Then we took a horse to ride. That was the greatest adventure I ever had. It slowly walked up the mountain.

I looked at the sides and saw how deep it was. I felt scared. Suddenly I could not breathe anymore. I felt sick and almost fell off the horseback. My father immediately held me and we came down the slopes. I fainted due to no air. When I got well, the people served me hot soup. He said I was too little. So I easily caught a cold. I still remember how dangerous it was. But still, this adventure is a great memory.

Short Essay on My Adventurous Trip in 400 Words

Adventure and trip are closely connected to each other. It is really hard to avoid adventure from a trip. We often go on vacations. But these are only for fun. So a trip with adventure is different. Adventure makes us a different person. We become strong and brave in an adventure. It is very important to have it in our lives. An adventure is always exciting and amazing.

I was also lucky to have an adventure in my life. I was very little then and did not know about it.  It suddenly happened. We went to Shimla that year. Shimla is always a great place to have fun. And it was the best vacation of my life. My father got us the tickets and we packed our bags. We took the train and went straight from Kolkata to Shimla. I enjoyed the view outside. It was wonderful. When we reached there, I jumped in joy. After two days of reaching Manali, All of us decided to visit it.

We planned to go to Rohtang Pass first. We started our journey. A car was booked. We took it and went to Rohtang. The road was like a snake. It was the first adventure I had there. It went slowly to the hilltop. I felt the cool breeze and looked out. It was so pretty. When we reached the top, I jumped out. It snowed that day. I started playing with it.

But the biggest adventure came after this. We had to take horses to go to the hilltop. I have seen horses in books. But had never ridden them. I clapped my hands in joy. My father and I got onto one. It slowly started moving. I touched the soft mane of the horse and it neighed. Soon we were at the top of the mountain. I looked down and got scared. It was dark. Long waterfalls were falling from the top. I stared at it. Suddenly I could not breathe. I tried hard but failed.

I soon fainted and was about to fall off horseback. But my father immediately caught me and we came down. The people nearby helped me and I opened my eyes. I had turned blue for no air. The people gave me hot soup to drink and feel warm. Gradually I felt better. After this, we left for our hotels. That day I was scared, but today I feel it as my best adventure. Sample 1: How I Spend My Summer Vacation Essay

This summer vacation I visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya with my family and cousins. For our journey, we booked the Vande Bharat tickets and embarked from New Delhi Railway Station. It was an 11-hour-long journey and was full of excitement. I witnessed so many beautiful spots throughout the journey and people were continuously chanting God’s holy name. It was one of the most beautiful journeys I have ever experienced.

When we reached the Lucknow Central Station, the Ticket Collector told us that we’d reached halfway.
It took us another 5 hours to reach the holy city of Ayodhya. After reaching our destination, My brother and I stepped outside to explore the city. Following that, we headed to the Ram Mandir. The temple was huge and very beautiful. It was decorated with colourful lights and flowers. All the people there were looking overwhelmed with emotions.

Inside the temple, we saw the idol of Lord Ram. It was adorned with beautiful jewels made of gold, diamond, and silver! The priests were singing bhajans, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. We prayed and spent some time sitting quietly, feeling the divine presence. My parents told me stories about Lord Ram, and I felt very happy to learn more about him.

After visiting the temple, we explored the city of Ayodhya. We visited other historical places and temples. Each place had its own unique story and charm. We also enjoyed the local food, which was very tasty. My favourite was the special sweets they made in Ayodhya. It was a really special summer break in my life.

Sample 2: How I Spend My Summer Vacation Essay

This summer vacation, I planned to work on my physical and mental health. I joined a fitness centre which was close to my locality, where I was assigned a personal fitness trainer. She was a qualified trainer who asked me about my goals and drafted a fitness and diet routine accordingly. Initially, I took a 1 month- subscription, as I was not sure how good or bad it would turn out to be. The first week was very challenging as I had to work out for 2 hours straight and then practice yoga for 30 minutes. Every day after coming from the fitness centre, I used to complete my homework and read the newspaper.

Within a week, I was able to do 20 pushups in one set and I wanted to set the bar high. So, I planned on doing 40 pushups before completing 1 month at the fitness centre. The trainers were very helpful there and taught me the right way to do each exercise. They made sure I was practising safely and enjoying myself. They also encouraged me at each step, which improved my confidence.

One of the best parts of joining the fitness centre was making new friends. There were many kids my age, and we quickly became friends. We exercised together, cheered each other on, and had a lot of fun. We even played games like tag and basketball in the centre’s sports area. Having friends around made exercising even more enjoyable.

Joining the fitness centre was a fantastic experience. It helped me become stronger, healthier, and more confident. I made new friends and learned a lot about staying fit and healthy. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to continuing my fitness journey.

The Power of Nature in Cities

December 02, 2016

By Pascal Mittermaier, Former Global Managing Director, Cities

I have always lived in cities. I love the energy, the excitement, the possibility.

But several years ago, I began to see urban life though a new lens. I had a corporate job, and my wife and I were living in Milan with our two small children. Every workday, I would drive them downtown from our home on the outskirts of the city. And every day, we would enter a cloud of smog, where pollution exceeded the safe levels set by the European Union. One study found that breathing Milan’s air exposed us to roughly the same amount of benzene as would smoking 15 cigarettes per day.

I looked at my kindergartner in the backseat and I knew that something needed to change—in my life, and in the way we think about our cities.

Across the world, cities have been cut off from nature. Most city dwellers simply accept that highways and high-rises will be the dominant backdrop to their lives. In some cities, people have resigned themselves to wearing masks or drinking bottled water to protect their health. But I refuse to accept that future for my children. We must bring nature back to our cities and, in doing so, make them vibrant, resilient places where people can thrive.

Today, when I tell people that I work for The Nature Conservancy and that my interest is cities, I sometimes get a puzzled look in response. “Cities?” they’ll say. “What does that have to with nature?”

A lot, I tell them.

On the Yangtze River in Chongqing, China.

We are witnessing one of the greatest shifts in human history. In 1900, less than 14 percent of all people lived in cities. Today more than half of the world’s population lives in urban settings, and that proportion is projected to increase to more than two-thirds by 2050. For example, the population of Shenzhen, China, was 30,000 people in the 1970s. Now it’s more than 11 million. Hundreds of cities that don’t even exist today will spring into existence in the coming decades, and some of them are going to be megacities like Tokyo or Mexico City, with populations of well over 10 million people.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Cities are the engines of the economy, accounting for more than 80 percent of our global GDP—yet they cover only about 3 percent of Earth’s surface. Getting lots of people to live close together makes creative and efficient use of our energy, our water, our sewer systems and our land. Yet many people still see urbanization as a destructive force that displaces and extinguishes nature. That may have been true in the past—and may continue to be true when cities are unplanned—but urban living can lead to more efficient use of resources and smaller carbon footprints. We have learned better ways to design and run our cities so that they are no longer competing with nature but are coexisting with it, or even incorporating it.

While nature needs cities because they represent a resource-efficient way for people to live, cities also acutely need nature. We already know that oyster beds and mangroves shelter coastal cities from storms and that forests in the mountains can protect drinking water. But conservation also can succeed right in the core of an urban area. One of the most inspiring examples I’ve seen of this was in Seoul, where an elevated highway was removed in 2003 and the Cheonggyecheon creek bed below it was restored. The work not only created a much-needed green space for residents but also provided new habitat for birds, fish and insects. It also reduced air-pollution levels and temperatures: The corridor is as much as 5.9 degrees Celsius cooler than paved areas just a few blocks away. Along with the High Line in Manhattan, this project is now among the most studied and copied by urban planners.

Many people still see urbanization as a destructive force—but urban living can lead to more efficient use of resources and smaller carbon footprints.

- Pascal Mittermaier

Here at the Conservancy, we have launched a program to apply our half century of conservation experience and scientific expertise to city environments. This new work is an expansion of what we already do, rather than a giant leap into the unknown. Consider that we already have some of the best people in the world studying wildlife migrations. They are now helping us understand how cities serve as wildlife corridors. We already have some of the best people in the world measuring water quality. They are now helping us understand the role that nature plays in protecting urban water supplies. And we already have people who excel at crafting partnerships with local communities. Now, more than ever, we need their expertise inside cities.

One of the greatest challenges facing cities and nature today is urban sprawl caused by poor planning. Over the past 30 years, the land area of hundreds of cities has doubled. Many cities are projected to double in size again between now and 2050. The problem is that sprawl makes cities less efficient and destroys valuable natural lands. Around the world, growing cities threaten the populations of 10 to 15 percent of all vertebrate species. In India, one city that I visited is expanding into an elephant migration pathway. In Florida, communities are encroaching on panther habitat.

At the Conservancy, we’re helping cities map out their animal migration pathways and rethink how they design park corridors to better preserve wildlife habitat. For example, as part of the regional conservation alliance Chicago Wilderness, we are helping to conserve urban green spaces and mapping how those habitats can be connected—work that directly benefits the hundreds of bird species that migrate along the shore of Lake Michigan. In Melbourne, we just started developing plans to preserve 120 plant and animal species —including the platypus and rare Australian birds and insects—that are vulnerable to urban expansion.

We’re also helping cities better protect nature by managing their stormwater runoff, which is one of the fastest-growing threats to our waterways. During a rainstorm, water washes over roadways—collecting dirt, oil and debris—and flushes those pollutants into our sewer systems and, ultimately, our rivers and oceans. Some 3,000 U.S. cities have storm sewer systems that do not comply with Clean Water Act requirements. To protect our waterways, cities can build new sewers and water treatment facilities at a cost of billions of dollars—or turn toward natural solutions.

Sunset At Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul, South Korea

At the Conservancy, we’re helping cities take the natural solutions approach by championing the development of green rooftops, parks and permeable parking lots. For instance, in Bridgeport, Connecticut—which was hammered by Superstorm Sandy—we are helping the city create natural areas along its shoreline to buffer it from storm surges and develop swales—marshy ditches that use native plants to slow down and filter stormwater before it flows into Long Island Sound.

Of all the ways that nature gives back to people in cities, clean air may be the most valuable. In some parts of the world, it can be deadly just to breathe. Smog, soot and other outdoor pollutants—released by a host of human activities, including the burning of wood and fossil fuels, construction, agriculture and mining—cause an estimated 3.7 million premature deaths every year. Yet numerous studies have shown that trees and other types of vegetation are natural air filters, with the ability to reduce particulate-matter concentrations in locations just downwind by 20 to 50 percent.

The Conservancy recently released its first urban air-quality report for 245 cities around the world. It gives urban leaders a blueprint of places where they can green their cities to potentially achieve the greatest reductions in airborne pollution. In Louisville, Kentucky, the Conservancy—together with the University of Louisville, Hyphae Design Laboratory and the Institute for Healthy Air, Water, and Soil—is launching a long-term clinical trial to test whether adding trees and other vegetation to a neighborhood improves residents’ health.

Finally, we are working alongside the people who will make our cities thrive. We’re learning how nature is relevant to the lives of all people, and we’re finding new partners who connect conservation with social justice and public health initiatives. Globally, cities are growing younger, and the Conservancy is looking to the future by working with urban youth, offering summer internships to high school students in dozens of cities and online environmental curricula to 3 million middle school students—and counting. This generation is more likely to live in cities, and they have the power to build communities where people and nature live in balance.

In Philadelphia, I recently had the pleasure of meeting Howard Neukrug, who has led his city in developing an innovative system that uses nature to manage the stormwater that was polluting the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers—the sources of the city’s drinking water. “We build one rain garden,” he said, “add a few street trees, and then … something wonderful happens: The street comes to life. Children play in the new green spaces. Elderly people sit under the trees on hot days. Nature helps a neighborhood rediscover its community.”

The Conservancy is perfectly positioned to help transform the relationship between nature and people so that both can thrive. So, what are we doing in cities? A lot.

Farmer’s Market is a bit less glitzy, it has lots of small food venues from the ersatz French restaurant to the Mexican, Polynesian, American restaurants, ice cream makers and vendors, spice mart and vegetable purveyors.  There are two superb butchers and fowl vendors too. So, back to the standing rib roast.

He puts it in his functional bicycle basket—the packaging is slightly leaky, some drips of bloody water ooze out. Negotiating the way back, avoiding the narrow spot on 3 rd  that parallels Pan Pacific Park, he takes the windy path that dips through Pan Pacific at the far southern end, a place where the homeless have found relatively safe shelter.

As he pedals up the last little incline, out of the bushes appear coyotes…Los Angeles harbors many urban savvy coyotes who find hiding spaces in parks and other vegetated places. Smelling the meat, the small pack of four start to trail him, sniffing and emitting soft yelps of probability for food. He gets to the first street he needs to cross to use the much safer alleyway behind the convenience store and local hotel. He stops to check for cars.

So do the coyotes. They know about traffic and getting hit by cars. He zips across, quickly followed by the animals on the hunt. Getting closer one dares a quick try at a heel nip. My husband speeds up, there is no one around in the alley. He pedals strongly. Coyotes still a bit unsure, hover trotting beside him, vocalizing softly (they are conscious of being in a city).

The next street comes, much busier. The coyotes are unsure. Should they continue the pursuit? They are visible, very visible, and there is still a lot of day light. Gradually they drop back, disappointed, and fade into the neighborhood bushes.

The roast makes its way home safely. No one is hurt.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation Essay for Students and Children

500+ words essay on how i spent my summer vacation.

Summertime is the most awaited time of any student’s life . It gives them a break from the scorching sun and blazing heat. The summer months are quite hot, however, students love them because they bring a sense of calmness due to the vacations. It frees them from the monotonous and dull routine of school and studies.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Most importantly, summer vacations give us a chance to explore new things. We can adopt new hobbies like painting, dancing, singing and more during this time. Furthermore, it gives us a chance to visit our grandparents or to someplace abroad. Summer vacations bring all types of fun, however, these particular summer vacations were the most memorable for me. My parents made me join a summer camp which was too much fun and then we visited our grandparents’ place.

Summer Camp

As the first day of my summer vacations started, I started getting bored easily. Mostly so because all my friends had gone to someplace or the other. My parents noticed this and decided to send me to a summer camp. Our school itself was organizing one in which my parents got me enrolled.

At first, I thought it would be of no use and would be equally boring. However, to my surprise, I was wrong. The summer camp was one of the best experiences of my life. I got the chance to indulge in so many activities and in fact, it was the first time where I discovered my talent for painting.

We got up early in the morning at 7 o’clock, despite no school. We had trainers who would teach us different things each day. On the first day, I got to learn karate, which was very amusing and helpful. Further, I learned how to play sports like basketball , table tennis, and volleyball.

Finally, came my most awaited part. We were taught painting and unique tips to master this art. I learned it quickly and started enjoying painting. My passion for painting began from this summer camp , and I will forever be indebted to it.

My Grandparents’ Place

After my summer camp ended, my whole family decided to visit my grandparent’s village . It is situated away from the city and is full of lush and greenery. I love spending time with my grandparents so I was very excited to visit their village.

We stayed there for over two weeks, and that throughout that time, I was at my best behavior. I used to get up at 7 o’clock in the morning to take a stroll with my grandfather. Adventure in Cities or in Nature Essay In 100 200 300 500 Words

adventure in cities or in nature essay.

adventures in cities or in nature essay in english

As human beings, we are innately wired to seek adventure and excitement. Our desire for new experiences often leads us to explore different environments, and two popular options are cities and nature. Both offer unique opportunities for adventure, each with its own distinct characteristics and allure. In this essay, we will delve into the joys of embarking on an adventure in cities and nature, exploring the various aspects of each without copyright.

Cities are bustling hubs of human activity, filled with towering skyscrapers, vibrant streets, and a rich tapestry of diverse cultures. The fast-paced energy of a city can be invigorating, providing endless opportunities for exploration and discovery. One can embark on an adventure through the concrete jungles of cities, navigating their maze-like streets, and unraveling the secrets they hold. The possibilities are endless - from trying exotic cuisine in a street food market to exploring historic landmarks and museums, to take in the sights and sounds of a city's vibrant nightlife. Cities are also melting pots of art, culture, and entertainment, offering theaters, galleries, music festivals, and more. Adventure-seekers can immerse themselves in the cosmopolitan vibe, interact with locals, and indulge in the urban lifestyle.

On the other hand, nature offers a completely different kind of adventure. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, nature provides a serene and awe-inspiring environment where one can connect with the elements. Whether it's hiking in majestic mountains, exploring dense forests, or relaxing on pristine beaches, nature offers a sense of tranquility and wonder that is hard to replicate elsewhere. Adventuring in nature provides opportunities for physical challenges, such as rock climbing or white-water rafting, as well as opportunities for introspection and self-reflection. Nature also allows us to disconnect from the modern world and immerse ourselves in the raw beauty of the natural world. Camping under a starry sky, listening to the sounds of birds chirping or waves crashing, and breathing in the fresh air can be a rejuvenating experience for the mind, body, and soul.

In cities, adventure is often about the excitement of the unknown, the buzz of the city, and the diversity of experiences. Cities are centers of innovation and progress, offering a wealth of opportunities to explore different cultures, cuisines, and lifestyles. The fast-paced lifestyle can be invigorating, with something happening at every corner and a sense of constant motion.

On the other hand, nature offers a different kind of adventure, one that is more about the serenity and beauty of the natural world. It allows us to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of modern life, and reconnect with the simplicity and tranquility of the environment. Nature offers opportunities for physical challenges, such as hiking or camping, and also allows for quiet introspection and reflection. It provides a chance to appreciate the beauty of the natural world, from breathtaking landscapes to the intricacies of wildlife.

Both cities and nature have their unique allure, and the choice of adventure depends on one's personal preferences and interests. Some may prefer the vibrant energy of cities, with their cultural richness and urban lifestyle. Others may seek solace in the tranquility of nature, with its pristine landscapes and peaceful surroundings. Regardless of the choice, adventure awaits in both cities and nature, and each offers its own set of experiences and memories.

In conclusion, embarking on an adventure in cities or nature can be a thrilling and enriching experience. Cities offer the excitement of the unknown, with their diverse cultures, cuisines, and lifestyles, while nature provides a serene and awe-inspiring environment for introspection and physical challenges. Whether it's exploring the streets of a city or hiking in the wilderness, the choice of adventure is subjective and depends on personal preferences.

Adventure Paragraph 350 words

What is adventure? An adventure is something that is challenging, which involves a bit of a risk factor & a lot of thrill.

My First Adventure Trip

My first real taste of adventure was a trekking tour to Chanderkhani pass – one of the most serene & beautiful pass, at an altitude of 3660 m located in Kullu valley.

It had been a tough year for me. I had just completed my standard 10 th board examination & was looking for something really amazing to do in my vacation. That is when I decided to go for a trekking trip. We entrained from Vadodara junction to Chandigarh & then to Dobhi base camp which is in the foothills of Solang valley. First day was allotted to rest after journey of two long days. As it was a free day, we decided to give a shot to river rafting, which turned out to be an absolutely amazing experience.

The moments of thrill when your raft is striving to dodge violent waves of river Beas which is ready to entrap you within & drag you far down through the valley, & those splashes of icy cold water that you think will freeze you to the core are so worth experiencing. Day two was the day for warm up & packing our things appropriately in a rucksack. We were also educated about the trek which according to the instructor is a royal sport to enjoy difficulties.

Our trek was five days long. It started from Dobhi & led us to Chanderkhani base via Kharogi & Naya tapru which were our halts for two days respectively. These five days I remember were the most beautiful days of my life. Those picturesque views of snow covered mountains, that refreshing breeze, looking at the night sky from the top of the mountain and being one with the nature were the most soul filling moments of this trek.

There are some memories, no matter how far you go you would always want to cherish them. Those memories dwell in the cosy corner of your heart. This adventure tour was a treasure of such memories.

Adventure Paragraph 400 words

Adventure is more than just a journey or travelling from places A to B. It is an extended experience that comes with risks and rewards, unpredictable twists, guaranteed obstacles and surprising results. Basically, adventure is all about change and change is growth which is the core of life.

Stumbling Blocks in Adventure

Going on an adventure is exciting. However, let us not forget to look at the downside of adventure too. Here are few things one should be aware of before chalking up the excitement:

  • Adventure trips and adventure sports are fun but let us not forget they are dangerous too.
  • Adventure can be defined as a way of risking your life just for recreational purpose and thrill.
  • Even with all the safety measures within reach, the chances of getting injured cannot be barred out completely. There have been cases where people have been injured terribly and even lost their lives just while trying different adventurous activities. Many of these activities require straining the body. It can end horribly if your body is not prepared for such discomfort.
  • Adventures can sometimes put you in an agonizing state.
  • Since ages, adventures have been viewed as a proof of guts, daring and many a times even masculinity. So, if a person is not able to satisfactorily do the adventure, it can dent the confidence too.
  • You would not want to go out there without your equipment and gears. Even though they are for safety purpose, they are ridiculously expensive.
  • It can cause stress to our friends and family who care for us. Choosing such a dangerous thing ignoring the fact that it can take a toll on them too is certainly not good.
  • Now, to enjoy, one should be aware of all the ins and outs of the adventure. Proper training under some well qualified trainers is required. Finding time to get thorough training is not so easy in this fast paced world. Besides, it will also be a costly affair.

Like two sides of coin, adventure has its own pros and cons. Many a times, it’s possible that the cons would outnumber the pros – it’s not compulsory though. But, as we know, every situation can be solved with proper planning and taking precautions. As we head for adventure, we should prepare to sail through them smoothly and at the same time be prepared to face any troubles that may come. This is how adventures can be enjoyed to the fullest.
