Storymatic is a super-flexible writer’s tool kit, all-in-one idea generator, and confidence booster. Use it solo or in a group. You can be serious, and you can be silly. Plug Storymatic into any genre– use it for romance and fantasy writing prompts, short story prompts, novel prompts, YA, screenplays, comics, and more.
Simply combine a few cards and let your imagination kick into gear. Make characters, start scenes, gain new perspectives, get unstuck. Journal with it, draw with it, act with it, sing with it! A great gift for writers, improv coaches, family card game enthusiasts, writing instructors, drama teachers, and all the creative (and wanna-be-creative) men, women, teens, and tweens in your life.
Hi! My name is Brian Mooney, and I made the first Storymatic for my college and high school writing classes. For a long time my students asked me to make more than one Storymatic, because they wanted to use it outside of class with their friends and families. After a few years of listening, I took their excellent advice, and I encourage you to do so as well: use your Storymatic to have some laughs and conversations at a party, and for writing, art, performance, and personal exploration. Most of all, have fun. Happy storytelling!
