Lucknow University PhD Admission 2023 registration deadline extended till Jan 25

The deadline to submit an online application for lucknow university's ph.d. (regular) (session 2022-23) has been extended from january 16 to january 25..

The University of Lucknow has extended the registration deadline for PhD admission. Candidates can now submit their applications for PhD admission till January 25. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website at lkouniv.ac.in. Earlier, the last date for the registration for PhD admissions was January 16.

The application fee is ₹ 2000 for the General and OBC categories. For SC and ST categories the application fee is Rs1000. The Differently Abled (PH) Any category candidates have to pay ₹ 1000 as an application fee.

University of Lucknow PhD Admission 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates for admission to the Ph.D programme shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.
• Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.
• All candidates who have applied will be allowed to appear in the entrance test.

Selection Procedure

• Admission will be based on Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by an interview.
• A candidate seeking admission to the PhD programme shall be required to have secured at least 50% marks in RET. There will be 5% relaxation in marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates i.e. 45% will be minimum qualifying marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates.
• The Entrance Test will consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
• The syllabus of the subject specific part will be from the respective syllabus of PG Programs of the University of Lucknow.
• All candidates who qualify the RET with the minimum prescribed cut-off have to attend the interview.
• Candidates have to report for interview at the stipulated date and time which will be declared on the University website.

Merit List Preparation

• Final merit list will be based on marks obtained in the written test and interview.
• In the final merit candidates would be given a weightage of 70 % to the entrance test and 30% to the performance in the interview.

Part-Time PhD Programme

• For Part-time PhD check the conditions mentioned in the PhD Ordinance.
• A candidate has submitted a NOC from the Head of the Institution/Organization where he/she is employed.
• Part-time Ph.D. scholar will not be eligible for any fellowship/scholarship from any source.

A candidate must have at least five years of continuous service experience at a senior level in a recognized educational institutions/Union Government/State Government(s)/Armed Forces/PSUs or Corporations listed in BSE or NSE. Candidate must submit a certificate in this regard to the DRC.

Procedure for Part-Time PhD Admission

• For part-time PhD programme the final selection of candidates shall be based on a separate test.
• There will be 70 % weightage shall be given to a write-up of 1000 words submitted by the applicant and 30 % weightage on the Work Experience, Academic Index and performance in the Interview/viva voce.

Candidates may download their admit cards by using the login id and password given at the Time of registration and form filling.

University of Lucknow PhD Admission 2023-24 Application Process

Candidates can apply online at the official website of University of Lucknow.

It is the sole responsibility of the student to go through the updated PhD Ordinance of L.U. and check his/her eligibility while submitting the application. The eligibility will be verified by the University at the time of Counselling/Admission.

Requirements for Application Form Submission

• Valid Email ID
• Aadhaar No.
• Mobile number should be with the applicant at the time of form filling
• Login credentials (Registration Number & Password) will be sent on the registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
• Alternate Mobile Number  (Preferably of parent)
• Scanned Photo  in JPEG format (Maximum File Size is 50 KB)
• Scanned Signature  in JPEG format (Maximum File Size is 50 KB)
• Aadhaar Card
• Driving License

Application Fee

• Applicants who are eligible to avail the benefit of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) seats have to select ‘Yes’ on the ‘Personal Information’ page while filling the online application form. Along with this, to prove the authenticity of same, the related certificate has to be uploaded on the ‘Upload Document’ page which shall be issued by the Competent Authority.
• The reference number of Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority will have to be entered for availing the benefit of reservation for OBC, SC and ST applicants. Validity of these certificates will be verified from the Government website. Along with this, to prove the authenticity of same, the related certificate has to be uploaded on the ‘Upload Document’ page.
• Applicants of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category would require the following certificates:
• The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Class candidates originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Class candidates of other States will be treated as General.
• Applicants will have to enter the reference number of Income Certificate at the time of filling the online application form. Along with this, the certificate for this must be uploaded on ‘Upload Document’ page.
• Certificates whose details are not available on respective Government website will not be entertained.
• The applicants who do not have a valid income certificate issued by competent authority will not be given benefit of zero fees at the time of admission.

Steps for Application Form Filling

• Applicants have to fill the relevant details in the form. These fields cannot be edited later.
• Applicants will receive their login details in the mobile number and email ID provided at the time of registration.
• Applicants have to enter their personal details
• Enter the marks of all the subjects mentioned in the mark sheets
• Applicants have to upload their photo and scanned signature.
• Applicants can preview all the entries made at this point. If there is some error, they can edit it or start the entire process again. Once they have submitted the application fee, the data submitted in the registration page cannot be edited under any circumstances.
• If all the entries in the application form are correct, the applicant can submit the form and proceed for payment of the application fees.
• Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking
• Applicants can print their complete application form and fee receipt to complete the application process.
• Applicants have to retain a printout of their application form which will be needed later on.
• Applicants do not have to send the print out of the application form to the University.

Lucknow University Admission 2023

Given below is the overview of Lucknow University Admission.

Lucknow University Admission 2023 Important Dates

• Selection to the B.Tech course is on the basis of merit secured in UPSEE / JEE Main and made through the AKTU counseling process
• Other UG and PG admission is on the basis of entrance tests or merit-based
• MBA course selection is carried out through the Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (PGET). Those who have valid score in the CAT / MAT / XAT are exempted from PGET
• For B.Ed admission, candidates have to appear for the U.P JEE B.Ed followed by a counseling process. 

Centralized Entrance Test (CET) by Lucknow University

A Centralized Entrance Test (CET) for all candidates would be conducted by Lucknow University.

• The Lucknow university conducts CET for various courses at the level of UG, PG, and Ph.D. Programs for admission.
• Students seeking admission in any of the courses must check the eligibility criteria of a particular course, branch, etc.
• The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject-specific.
• The candidate must also check the fee structure of Lucknow University Admission 2023

Centralized Undergraduate Admissions

The admission in undergraduate courses will be carried out under Centralized Undergraduate Admissions 2023.

• As per the decision taken in the admission committee meeting held on August 2020, admissions in the faculty of arts, commerce, law, science, and fine arts undergraduate students shall be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th or equivalent examination.
• Candidates need to register at UnLOC (Online Off-Campus Counselling Portal) University of Lucknow's Counselling Portal.

Centralized Postgraduate Admissions

The admission in Postgraduate courses will be carried out under Centralized Undergraduate Admissions 2023.

• Gap Certificate: If there is a gap in taking admission after graduation/qualifying examination, then a certificate by the Notary on Rs. 10.00 Stamp paper has to be submitted at the time of admission.
• Eligibility and guidelines for Admission to the Post-Graduate Courses, in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Law, and Fine Arts: A candidate will be eligible for Admission to Postgraduate Courses if he/she has completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with a 10+2+3 system from any University recognized by University Grants Commission.
• Subject wise eligibility details are given in clause 4.1 of these guidelines which would be applicable with the following rules (Except Mathematics and Statistics).

Lucknow University B.Tech Admission 2023

Lucknow University offers a B.Tech program in various disciplines full-time as well as in lateral entry.  Candidate should have cleared 10+2 with PCM with at least 55% marks and 50% for reserved categories candidate in aggregate.

• Applicants have to qualify in UPSEE 2023 to get admission to this program.

For Lateral Entry, B.Sc or Diploma in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and 55% for reserved categories.

Note: After the UPSEE counselling, the applicants need to visit the Office of the Coordinator, Lucknow University, Faculty of Engineering, Second Campus, Jankipuram.

B.Tech and MCA Admissions

• Admissions to the  B.Tech. and MCA programs of the University of Lucknow, Lucknow for the academic session 2023 – 22 will be based on Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2023).
• The entrance examination for degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges (UPSEE-2023) is being conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
• Candidates who have appeared in the entrance test can participate in the counseling process. 
• Direct Admission: In case there are seats vacant after the UPSEE 2023 counselling, the Lucknow university will advertise these seats on its official website.

Lucknow University MBA and MTTM Admission 2023

Lucknow University also offers MBA & MTTM courses in various specializations at the postgraduate level. Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks is the required eligibility criteria for getting admission.

Note: 5% relaxation of marks will be given to the SC/ST candidates.

Lucknow University Under Graduate Admission 2023

Post Graduate M.Ed., B.P.Ed. M.P.Ed. Admission Details

The M.Ed., B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed admission will be based Postgraduate Entrance Test.

• Admissions will be done only on the basis of marks obtained in the written test and academic index. There will be no interview. Details of entrance tests and formulas for calculation of academic index are given in the admission guidelines.
• Admission to this course is done on the basis of M.Ed. Entrance Test conducted by the university in accordance with the orders of Govt. of U.P., Lucknow University statutes and regulations of NCTE.

Centralized B.El.Ed. Admissions 

• The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.) programme shall be offered only in a constituent or affiliated college of Lucknow university or a constituent or affiliated college of Lucknow University offering multiple Teacher Education Programme or Department of Education, Lucknow University itself.
• Qualifications for admission: The minimum qualifications for admission to the B.El.Ed. shall be a pass in the 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent exam with a minimum of Fifty percent marks.
• Centralized Entrance Test (CET): Candidates seeking admission to Elementary Teacher Education  (four-year degree programme) shall have to qualify the prescribed Centralized Entrance Test (CET) , specially designed to assess the candidate’s potential or any other selection process as per the policy of Lucknow University.
• Basis of Admission: In the B.El.Ed. the program shall be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted for this purpose.
• The B.El.Ed entrance test will comprise 100 objective-type questions. And the duration of the examination is 90 minutes.
• The questions will be from Language ability (Hindi and English), General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability. 
• Intake: Total intake of B.El.Ed. Course in one unit shall not exceed fifty students in a class or decided by NCTE norms enforced from time to time.

UP B.Ed JEE 2023 - Joint Entrance Examination B.Ed Admission in Uttar Pradesh

The entrance exam for the Uttar Pradesh Bachelor of Education Joint Entrance Exam (UP B.Ed JEE) is organized by different UP colleges every year.

• The Admission in Bachelors of Education B.Ed will be based on UP Joint Entrance Examination.
• Lucknow University conducts UP B.Ed JEE for admission to 2-year Bachelor of Education course in UP colleges.
• About two lakh B.Ed. seats are offered for admission in hundreds of colleges of the state.

PG Diploma, Advance Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate Admissions

The admission in various diploma courses at postgraduate, advance, diploma, and certificate level courses are based on eligibility criteria set by Lucknow university. 

Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

As per the LU Ph.D. Ordinance 2018 the admission would be done on the basis of entrance test and interview

• The candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. courses at Lucknow University must check the admission guidelines and LU Ph.D. Ordinance 2018 and check his/ her eligibility at the time of application.
• The University will not be verifying the eligibility at the time of submission of the online application by the applicant.
• All candidates who have applied will be allowed to appear in the entrance test. The eligibility will be verified by the University at the time of the interview.
• All candidates who are desirous of taking admission to the Ph.D. programs of the University of Lucknow have to appear and qualify for the Centralized Entrance Test (CET) conducted for this purpose.
• All candidates who qualify for the CET with the minimum prescribed cutoff have to attend the interview.
• Candidates who qualify for the CET and appear in the interview will be considered for the final merit.
• Candidates who qualify for the CET but do not appear for the interview will not be considered for the final merit.
• The marks of qualified candidates and nonqualified candidates will be displayed only after the declaration of the final merit list. This is being done to remove the value judgment or bias from the interview board.

• After getting the login id to fill the online form. 
• Enter the details such as personal, educational, communications details  in the correct manner
• Upload the scanned copies of documents, passport size photographs and signature in the prescribed format. 
• Make the payment of the application fee online through Net Banking / Debit / Credit Card
• Take a printout of the application form for further references

CAT 2024 will be conducted on November 24. The edit window to make corrections to the submitted application form is open from September 27 to September 30 (for updating only the photograph, signature and city preferences, if required). The admit card will be released on November 5 on the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

B.Pharm Admission 2024: The list of candidates who have applied for B.Pharm Admission 2024 has been released @ lkouniv.ac.in. 

NIRF   2024  rankings have been declared and  University of Lucknow - [LU]  ranked in the band of  151-200  out of  200  universities in India under the  Overall  category.

AYUSH NEET UG Counselling 2024 is ongoing for admission to All-India Quota BAMS/ BSMS/ BUMS/ BHMS Seats. The Final Seat Allotment Result for Round 2 of AYUSH NEET UG Counselling 2024 has been released. The last date to report for admission under Round 2 is October 3, 2024. Candidates can check the seat allotment and detailed reporting instructions @ aaccc.gov.in.

Lucknow University admissions to all courses are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination followed by counselling conducted by the university. Admission to UG courses at  Lucknow University  is based on the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET). Similarly, Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) will be conducted for admission to PG courses. Lucknow University offers various regular and self financed courses at the UG level. The courses are offered at university campus or through affiliated colleges of Lucknow University. Some of the popular courses at the UG level are BTech, BA, B.Com, BBA, and BCA. The basic eligibility for getting admission into undergraduate programs is 10+2. Candidates are selected through merit secured in the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) conducted by the university. The application process at Lucknow University is completely online. The step-by-step process to apply for admission is as follows:

Step 1: Registration

• Visit the official website of Lucknow University - lkouniv.ac.in.
• Click on “Admission” at the top menu bar.
• Select the program and click on “Apply Now”.
• Fill the relevant information in the application form.
• Applicants will receive their login details on this mobile number and e-mail ID.

Step 2: Personal Details

• Applicants have to enter their personal details.

Step 3: Educational Qualifications

• Applicants have to fill the qualifying examination details such as Marks, Roll Number, etc.

Step 4: Upload photo and signature

• Applicants have to upload their photo and scanned signature in the prescribed format.

Step 5: Preview

• Applicants can preview all the entries made at this point. If there is some error they can edit it or start the entire process again. Once they have submitted the application fee the data submitted on the registration page cannot be edited under any circumstances.

Step 6: Application Fee

• If all the entries in the application form are correct the applicant can submit the form and proceed for payment of the application fees.
• Pay the application fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

Step 7: Submit the Print Application Form

• Upon successful payment of fees, submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

• The campus is small but still there are some of the spaces to chill where teachers dont come over and

NPGC is the kost prestigious college of lucknow and also it was among top college for commerce , there are around 120 seats for regular and around 300 seat for self finance , chances of self finance seats are more , even i got the self finance seat , the exam is like any other competetive exam which has reasoning aptitude general awareness and somewhat of the stream line you have came from.

I gave cuet ug for BCA and Bsc statistics both and I cleared them too and got Delhi University for bsc statistics hons. but later due to financial problems parents didn't sent me and also they didn't wanted to go out of Lucknow

I PG College for this college is near my house and some teachers on faculty members are my our family members and my cousin brother is also completed his graduation in there college.
