Consequences of Global Warming
We must all know by now that the temperature of earth has gotten warmer by one degree Celsius . Although it looks small in number now but the consequences it has are massive. It is so because the amount of energy we need to augment this temperature even by one degree Celsius is huge. This extra energy is equivalent to force-feeding our climate system.
We are experiencing hotter and hotter days due to global warming only. Each year we are breaking the record for experience the hottest day, month or year. The worrying degree has gone as far as 54 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the frequent and intense extreme weather events we are facing are also due to that only. You see forest fires, droughts , floods , and more natural disasters becoming more and more common. For instance, the Amazon Rainforest fire being the latest one.
The melting of ice caps and glaciers is also a result of global warming only. All this melted ice just creates a rise in the water volume of the oceans. The sea levels are increasing due to this. Moreover, the warmer the temperature gets, the more the mass of the water expands. It poses a great threat to the low-lying islands and coastal cities.
Furthermore, our oceans are becoming warmer and acidifying. As these water bodies absorb most of the excess heat as well as Carbon Dioxide they have become more acidic. This, in turn, also results in coral bleaching. In addition, it also drives stronger storms. This rising acidity poses a great threat to aquatic life and disrupts their food chain. Thus, we need to soon get together to eliminate this problem to help our earth heal.

Essay On Global Warming in 300 Words
Global warming is a phenomenon where the earth’s average temperature rises due to increased amounts of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and ozone trap the incoming radiation from the sun. This effect creates a natural “blanket”, which prevents the heat from escaping back into the atmosphere. This effect is called the greenhouse effect.
Contrary to popular belief, greenhouse gases are not inherently bad. In fact, the greenhouse effect is quite important for life on earth. Without this effect, the sun’s radiation would be reflected back into the atmosphere, freezing the surface and making life impossible. However, when greenhouse gases in excess amounts get trapped, serious repercussions begin to appear. The polar ice caps begin to melt, leading to a rise in sea levels. Furthermore, the greenhouse effect is accelerated when polar ice caps and sea ice melts. This is due to the fact the ice reflects 50% to 70% of the sun’s rays back into space, but without ice, the solar radiation gets absorbed. Seawater reflects only 6% of the sun’s radiation back into space. What’s more frightening is the fact that the poles contain large amounts of carbon dioxide trapped within the ice. If this ice melts, it will significantly contribute to global warming.
A related scenario when this phenomenon goes out of control is the runaway-greenhouse effect. This scenario is essentially similar to an apocalypse, but it is all too real. Though this has never happened in the earth’s entire history, it is speculated to have occurred on Venus. Millions of years ago, Venus was thought to have an atmosphere similar to that of the earth. But due to the runaway greenhouse effect, surface temperatures around the planet began rising.
If this occurs on the earth, the runaway greenhouse effect will lead to many unpleasant scenarios – temperatures will rise hot enough for oceans to evaporate. Once the oceans evaporate, the rocks will start to sublimate under heat. In order to prevent such a scenario, proper measures have to be taken to stop climate change.

Global warming is the long-term warming of the planet’s overall temperature. Though this warming trend has been going on for a long time, its pace has significantly increased in the last hundred years due to the burning of fossil fuels . As the human population has increased, so has the volume of fossil fuels burned. Fossil fuels include coal, oil, and natural gas, and burning them causes what is known as the “greenhouse effect” in Earth’s atmosphere.
The greenhouse effect is when the sun’s rays penetrate the atmosphere, but when that heat is reflected off the surface cannot escape back into space. Gases produced by the burning of fossil fuels prevent the heat from leaving the atmosphere. These greenhouse gasses are carbon dioxide , chlorofluorocarbons, water vapor , methane , and nitrous oxide . The excess heat in the atmosphere has caused the average global temperature to rise overtime, otherwise known as global warming.
Global warming has presented another issue called climate change. Sometimes these phrases are used interchangeably, however, they are different. Climate change refers to changes in weather patterns and growing seasons around the world. It also refers to sea level rise caused by the expansion of warmer seas and melting ice sheets and glaciers . Global warming causes climate change, which poses a serious threat to life on Earth in the forms of widespread flooding and extreme weather. Scientists continue to study global warming and its impact on Earth.

Global warming means the Earth is getting hotter. This happens because of things like pollution from cars and factories. These pollutants are called greenhouse gases, and they make the Earth's air trap more heat from the sun. One major greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, which comes from burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. When trees are cut down and forests disappear, that's bad too, because trees help clean the air.
Because of global warming, some big problems are happening. Ice at the North and South Poles is melting, which causes the sea levels to rise. When the sea level goes up, it can flood coastal areas, making it hard for people to live there. Also, the Earth's weather is getting crazy. There are more hurricanes, droughts, and floods. These extreme weather events can be dangerous and damage homes and farms.
But don't worry! People all over the world are working to stop global warming. They use clean and renewable energy sources like the sun and wind instead of burning fossil fuels. They also make agreements like the Paris Agreement and the Kyoto Protocol to help reduce pollution. These agreements are like promises between countries to protect the planet.
Understanding global warming is important because it harms the environment and makes life harder for everyone. We need to take care of our planet by using clean energy and protecting forests. It's like being a good friend to the Earth. So, let's all work together to keep the Earth cool and safe for the future.

Global warming is a big problem for our planet, and it's getting worse every day. It's like a threat that's making life harder on Earth.
To fix global warming, we first need to understand what's causing it. One of the main reasons is the extra carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air. This comes from things like cutting down trees and using coal, oil, and gas for energy. It's also from burning gasoline in cars. All of this makes the Earth's temperature rise.
When the Earth gets hotter, it causes problems like rising sea levels, floods, storms, and even more diseases. It's a big issue, and it affects all of us. We can't blame just one person or country for this. Everyone is a part of the problem, so we all need to work together to solve it.
We need to be aware of global warming and do our best to stop it. This means using cleaner energy sources and being more careful with our planet. It's a team effort, and if we all pitch in, we can make a difference and make the Earth a better place to live.
Essay on Global Warming 4 (250 words)
Global warming is a serious and ongoing increase in the Earth's temperature. It's a huge problem worldwide and is mainly caused by the rise in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. If we don't take immediate action as a global community, it could lead to catastrophic consequences, even threatening life on Earth.
The effects of global warming are becoming more dangerous every day. It's responsible for rising sea levels, floods, erratic weather patterns, storms, epidemics, food shortages, and loss of life. To combat this issue, we need to raise awareness at the individual level. People must understand what global warming is, what causes it, and the harm it brings. By making people worldwide aware, we can work together to restore the Earth's natural balance and ensure life can continue as usual.
To address global warming, we should reduce our carbon dioxide emissions. This means using less oil, coal, and gas, protecting trees (as they absorb carbon dioxide and provide oxygen), and using electricity more wisely. Small changes in our daily lives, practiced worldwide, can make a big difference in lessening the impact of global warming and ultimately stopping it. Everyone needs to take responsibility and contribute to a safer, healthier planet for current and future generations.
Essay on Global Warming 5 (300 words)
Global warming is the gradual heating of the Earth's surface due to an increase in carbon dioxide gas in the environment. It's a major issue that requires worldwide action. As the Earth's temperature steadily rises, it poses various threats and disrupts the balance of nature. This temperature rise brings about lasting changes in our climate, affecting the environment.
The increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) levels has far-reaching consequences. It leads to heatwaves, sudden and powerful storms, unpredictable cyclones, damage to the ozone layer, floods, heavy rainfall, droughts, food shortages, diseases, and even loss of life. This problem is largely driven by the continuous burning of fossil fuels, the use of fertilizers, deforestation, excessive electricity consumption, and certain gases used in refrigeration. If we don't take action to control CO2 emissions, the harmful effects of global warming are predicted to worsen by 2020.
The increased CO2 levels cause a phenomenon known as the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse gases like water vapor, CO2, methane, and ozone absorb heat energy, which is then radiated in all directions, including back toward the Earth's surface. This results in the Earth's surface warming up, contributing to global warming.
To combat the life-threatening effects of global warming, we must change our habits. We need to stop activities that increase CO2 and other greenhouse gases, leading to the greenhouse effect and global warming. This includes ending deforestation, reducing electricity consumption, and halting the burning of wood and other fossil fuels. These are critical steps to ensure a healthier and safer planet for ourselves and future generations. By working together and making these changes, we can address the global warming crisis and protect our world.
Essay on Global Warming 6 (500 words)
Global warming is an enormous environmental problem that we must address urgently and permanently. It refers to the continuous and gradual increase in the Earth's surface temperature. This issue requires global cooperation and discussion to mitigate its effects, as it has already disrupted the delicate balance of nature, impacted biodiversity, and significantly altered our planet's climate over several decades.
The primary culprits behind global warming are greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane. These gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, causing a rise in temperatures. This, in turn, leads to rising sea levels, melting ice caps and glaciers, and unpredictable climate changes, all of which pose serious threats to life on our planet. The demand for an improved standard of living has driven an increase in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations, especially since the mid-20th century.
Statistical data reveal alarming trends, with years like 1983, 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1991 being recorded as the warmest six years of the past century. Such an increase in global warming has led to unforeseen natural disasters, including floods, cyclones, tsunamis, droughts, landslides, ice melting, food shortages, epidemic diseases, and even loss of life. These events disrupt the natural balance of our planet and signal a potential threat to life as we know it.
The global warming process intensifies as more water evaporates from the Earth's surface into the atmosphere. This excess water vapor further contributes to the greenhouse effect, causing temperatures to rise. Additionally, human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, the use of fertilizers, and the emission of gases like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), tropospheric ozone, and nitrous oxide are also responsible for global warming.
The root causes of these problems can be traced back to technological advancements, population growth, an increasing demand for industrial expansion, deforestation, and the prioritization of urbanization. As our population continues to grow, we consume more resources, leading to higher emissions of greenhouse gases and a depletion of the Earth's natural resources.
To address global warming and its devastating effects, we must take immediate and collective action. The time for inaction has long passed. We must prioritize sustainability, renewable energy sources, afforestation, and reforestation to reduce CO2 levels and mitigate the impact of global warming. Additionally, responsible and conscious consumption, efficient energy use, and reducing waste are critical steps in the fight against this crisis.
Education and awareness are also key. People need to understand the causes and consequences of global warming, prompting a change in behavior and the adoption of more environmentally friendly practices. Governments, businesses, and individuals must work together to protect our planet and secure a sustainable future for generations to come. The solution to global warming requires a global commitment to change our way of life and preserve the Earth for future generations.

Essay on Climate Change
Climate Change Essay - The globe is growing increasingly sensitive to climate change. It is currently a serious worldwide concern. The term "Climate Change" describes changes to the earth's climate. It explains the atmospheric changes that have occurred across time, spanning from decades to millions of years. Here are some sample essays on climate change.
100 Words Essay on Climate Change
200 words essay on climate change, 500 words essay on climate change.
![global warming essay in english 600 words Essay on Climate Change](https://cache.careers360.mobi/media/article_images/2023/1/7/Climate-Change-Essay.webp)
The climatic conditions on Earth are changing due to climate change. Several internal and external variables, such as solar radiation, variations in the Earth's orbit, volcanic eruptions, plate tectonics, etc., are to blame for this.
There are strategies for climate change reduction. If not implemented, the weather might get worse, there might be water scarcity, there could be lower agricultural output, and it might affect people's ability to make a living. In order to breathe clean air and drink pure water, you must concentrate on limiting human activity. These are the simple measures that may be taken to safeguard the environment and its resources.
The climate of the Earth has changed significantly over time. While some of these changes were brought on by natural events like volcanic eruptions, floods, forest fires, etc., many of the changes were brought on by human activity. The burning of fossil fuels, domesticating livestock, and other human activities produce a significant quantity of greenhouse gases. This results in an increase of greenhouse effect and global warming which are the major causes for climate change.
Reasons of Climate Change
Some of the reasons of climate change are:
Deforestation
Excessive use of fossil fuels
Water and soil pollution
Plastic and other non biodegradable waste
Wildlife and nature extinction
Consequences of Climate Change
All kinds of life on earth will be affected by climate change if it continues to change at the same pace. The earth's temperature will increase, the monsoon patterns will shift, the sea level will rise, and there will be more frequent storms, volcano eruptions, and other natural calamities. The earth's biological and ecological equilibrium will be disturbed. Humans won't be able to access clean water or air to breathe when the environment becomes contaminated. The end of life on this earth is imminent. To reduce the issue of climate change, we need to bring social awareness along with strict measures to protect and preserve the natural environment.
A shift in the world's climatic pattern is referred to as climate change. Over the centuries, the climate pattern of our planet has undergone modifications. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has significantly grown.
When Did Climate Change Begin
It is possible to see signs of climate change as early as the beginning of the industrial revolution. The pace at which the manufacturers produced things on a large scale required a significant amount of raw materials. Since the raw materials being transformed into finished products now have such huge potential for profit, these business models have spread quickly over the world. Hazardous substances and chemicals build up in the environment as a result of company emissions and waste disposal.
Although climate change is a natural occurrence, it is evident that human activity is turning into the primary cause of the current climate change situation. The major cause is the growing population. Natural resources are utilised more and more as a result of the population's fast growth placing a heavy burden on the available resources. Over time, as more and more products and services are created, pollution will eventually increase.
Causes of Climate Change
There are a number of factors that have contributed towards weather change in the past and continue to do so. Let us look at a few:
Solar Radiation |The climate of earth is determined by how quickly the sun's energy is absorbed and distributed throughout space. This energy is transmitted throughout the world by the winds, ocean currents etc which affects the climatic conditions of the world. Changes in solar intensity have an effect on the world's climate.
Deforestation | The atmosphere's carbon dioxide is stored by trees. As a result of their destruction, carbon dioxide builds up more quickly since there are no trees to absorb it. Additionally, trees release the carbon they stored when we burn them.
Agriculture | Many kinds of greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere by growing crops and raising livestock. Animals, for instance, create methane, a greenhouse gas that is 30 times more potent than carbon dioxide. The nitrous oxide used in fertilisers is roughly 300 times more strong than carbon dioxide.
How to Prevent Climate Change
We need to look out for drastic steps to stop climate change since it is affecting the resources and life on our planet. We can stop climate change if the right solutions are put in place. Here are some strategies for reducing climate change:
Raising public awareness of climate change
Prohibiting tree-cutting and deforestation.
Ensure the surroundings are clean.
Refrain from using chemical fertilisers.
Water and other natural resource waste should be reduced.
Protect the animals and plants.
Purchase energy-efficient goods and equipment.
Increase the number of trees in the neighbourhood and its surroundings.
Follow the law and safeguard the environment's resources.
Reduce the amount of energy you use.
During the last few decades especially, climate change has grown to be of concern. Global concern has been raised over changes in the Earth's climatic pattern. The causes of climate change are numerous, as well as the effects of it and it is our responsibility as inhabitants of this planet to look after its well being and leave it in a better condition for future generations.

What might the world look like if the temperature keeps rising? There will be many losers – but who are the likely winners? Neil and Alice discuss what we need to do to adapt to the inevitable changes ahead.
This week's question
How much has the average temperature of the Earth's surface increased in the last hundred years? Is it…
a) 0.85°C?
b) 1.85°C?
c) 8.5°C?
You'll hear the answer at the end of the programme.
unseasonably not normal for the time of year
mitigate make them less harmful
pledged promised
desalination removing the salt and other minerals from sea water homegrown produced locally cost-efficient good value for the money you paid logistics the organization of a complex activity
Note: This is not a word-for-ward transcript.
Alice Hello and welcome to 6 Minute English. I'm Alice…
Neil And I'm Neil. I'm feeling a bit chilly today, Alice.
Alice Yes, it is unseasonably cold today – which means not normal for the time of year. But the weather is very unpredictable these days.
Neil I know what you mean.
Alice Well, global warming is the subject of today's show.
Neil Is global warming really something to worry about? Some people say that the Earth has warmed up in the past and nothing terrible has happened.
Alice The Earth has warmed up before, but this was the result of things like wobbles in the Earth's orbit, not because of an increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Neil Can we reverse the changes?
Alice No, it's too late, and now we have to find ways to adapt to extreme weather, rising sea levels, and melting polar ice caps. However, we can mitigate greenhouse gas emissions – or make them less harmful. But before we talk more about this, I have a question for you. How much has the average temperature of the Earth's surface increased in the last hundred years? Is it… a) 0.85°C? b) 1.85°C? Or c) 8.5°C?
Neil I'm gonna go for the big one a) 8.5°C.
Alice Well, we'll find out if you got the answer right later on, Neil. But first, do you know any ways to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions?
Neil I do, actually. An Argentinian company has started collecting cow… emissions and converting them into usable energy.
Alice Well, as the world eats more meat, methane emissions from livestock are actually becoming a bigger climate concern.
Neil And one day's worth of cow emissions provides energy to run a car for 24 hours.
Alice OK, moving on now, so the world is going to have to adapt to global warming since we can't turn back the clock on climate change. And rich countries have the resources to do this, whilst poorer countries don't. Let's hear from Saleemul Huq, Director of the International Centre for Climate Change and Development in Bangladesh, talking about how this problem is being addressed.
INSERT Saleemul Huq, Director, International Centre for Climate Change and Development in Bangladesh Saleemul Huq: The rich countries have already pledged and promised a hundred billion dollars a year, starting from 2020, to cover all kinds of climate change activities which in climate change are either going to be called mitigation or adaptation. Owen Bennett Jones: A year? But that's an enormous sum of money! Saleemul Huq: Not that enormous compared to what they gave to the banking system when it collapsed. Climate change is a much bigger problem than the banking crisis.
Neil Saleemul Huq interviewed on the BBC World Service programme Newshour Extra. Well, he says rich countries have pledged – or promised – to deliver a hundred billion dollars a year to help poorer countries adapt to climate change. However, he suggests that this sum could have been larger – since more money than this was donated to resolve the banking crisis.
Alice For example, after the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy, New York City invested ten billion dollars on storm defences to protect Manhattan – and Wall Street.
Neil And where lack of water is a problem, countries like Australia, China, and Spain, have built desalination plants, which remove the salt from seawater to produce drinking water. But it's too expensive for developing countries to do this, even though they need them.
Alice So in relative terms, one billion dollars a year to help poor countries is a small sum of money when compared to their need. Countries like Bangladesh have developed homegrown technologies – which means produced locally – such as harvesting rainwater from their rooftops.
Neil OK, Alice, and thinking about certain radical proposals for adaptation – did you know there's a Dutch company that wants to build floating cities for us to live in?
Alice No, I didn't.
Neil Yeah. Plans include 15-storey high-rise buildings and floating food production.
Alice It sounds like it would be incredibly expensive. Has anyone actually built one?
Neil No, not so far. Let's hear from Mark Maslin, Professor of Climatology at University College London, talking about why this might be.
INSERT Mark Maslin, Professor of Climatology at University College London Remember, we're going to have 9.5 billion people by the middle of this century. Now, if you think about it, think about the logistics of building a city, floating, for say, ten million people. And then multiply that up to 60 per cent of 9.5 billion people. OK? So don't think it's really cost-efficient.
Neil So in practical terms, the logistics of building a large floating city probably couldn't work. It wouldn't be cost-efficient – or good value for the money you paid.
Alice And logistics means the organization of a complex activity.
Neil On the other hand, the logistics of teaching farmers in Bangladesh to breed ducks instead of chickens, for example, would be relatively simple and cost-efficient – and since ducks float and chickens don't, it's a sensible adaptation to climate change!
Alice That's a great example, Neil! Now, I think it's time for the answer to today's quiz question. I asked: How much has the average temperature of the Earth's surface increased in the last hundred years? Is it… a) 0.85°C, b) 1.85°C or c) 8.5°C?
Neil And I said c) 8.5°C and I know I'm wrong.
Alice Yes, I'm afraid you are Neil. The right answer is actually 0.85°C. And did you know that 13 of the 14 warmest years were recorded in the 21st Century?
Neil I did not know that, Alice. But I do know which words we learned today. They are: unseasonably mitigate pledged desalination homegrown cost-efficient logistics
Alice And that's the end of today's 6 Minute English. Don't forget to join us again soon!

Essay on Consequences of Global-Warming
Global warming is not a myth. Many discard the fact that our planet is dying because of our insolent behavior and misuse of natural resources. Over the years, scientists from all over the world have recorded the changes in wind patterns, atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, and other meteorological factors and concluded that global warming is real and quite scary. It has been estimated that we have only a decade left to make drastic changes and save the planet or the effects of global warming will become irreversible.
Global warming is a manmade phenomenon that occurs due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. These gases originate from artificial processes in different industries and the vigorous use of fossil fuels. These gases make a blanket covering the entire world that does not let the surface heat to pass. This entrapment of heat causes an abrupt increase in temperature harming the ecosystem of the entire planet.
If you think that the slightest increase in temperature will do nothing then you need to think again. Even if there is a slight increase in the average temperature, the ice caps melt faster, the glaciers are receding, the water level is increasing and slowly engulfing the islands. It has been recorded that the highest temperature has gone to 54°C. The fact that a degree rise of temperature is the result of the accumulation of so much heat is not easily realized.
It is because of our abrupt use of natural resources and deforestation that have resulted in such a crisis. We have witnessed severe floods, droughts, tsunamis, hurricanes, and other natural disasters with an elevated frequency. In fact, we have also seen an abrupt change in the seasonal configuration over a few decades. Even though these changes have taken place over a few decades, it is quite abrupt and unprecedented for the other animals and plants. These changes are extremely harming the wellbeing of the plants and animals in all ecosystems. Whether it is melting polar ice caps or the mountain glaciers, everywhere we can find the bad effects of global warming.
One of the biggest blows we received in recent years is the heavy forest fire that took down a major part of the Amazon rainforest. The Amazon and the African forests are considered to be the two lungs of the entire world. The cumulating smoke from vehicles, factories, and forest fires is resulting in a severe drop in the air quality we breathe. Humans and all other land animals are breathing toxic air.
The increase in temperature is melting the ice caps. In fact, the marine water source is also rising in volume due to the temperature rise. This is affecting the coral reefs and other ecosystems in the marine world. The islands are gradually going under the sea along with the coastal cities. The coastal forests are unable to handle the severity of the storms and oceanic waves. The emission of toxic chemicals and gases in the atmosphere has also increased the acidic level of rainwater resulting in the hampered lifespan of aquatic animals. We have contributed to this grave problem by deforesting lands to build concrete jungles leaving our planet suffocate. The rise in deforestation has also lead to more damages that we cannot imagine. It is time to act quickly and cautiously to save the only planet we have. It is our responsibility to save this habitat and let other animals live peacefully. We need to stop acting selfish and think of the harmony of all ecosystems we are a part of. It is time to take action to eradicate global warming and restore the balance we have lost within a few centuries.

FAQs on Consequences of Global-Warming Essay
1. What are the Greenhouses Gases?
Greenhouses gases are the toxic byproducts of various industrial processes and fossil fuel combustion that accumulate in our atmosphere. They are lighter than the air we breathe. These gases accumulate and form a blanket over the earth’s surface. The prime property of these gases is that they pass the heat waves coming from the sun but block the ones that are emitted by the earth’s surface. Hence, the heat is trapped in between the earth’s surface and the blanket of greenhouses gases causing a rapid rise in the temperature.
2. What is Causing More Harm while Controlling Global Warming?
The uncontrolled cutting of trees in the forests and forest fires are causing more harm and hampering global warming prevention measures. People are becoming more cautious and concerned regarding global warming and taking necessary measures from their end. The use of fossil fuels without any control is also contributing to this grave problem. We need to stop the unnecessary use of fossil fuels by switching to greener energy sources. Factories should emit treated gases from their chimneys. Almost everything contributes to global warming. We need to educate ourselves and act accordingly.
3. How can We Make a Difference?
As mentioned earlier, almost everything we use and need in the contemporary world, we find the use of fossil fuels and malpractices done by the factories that harm the environment by contributing to global warming issues. We need to make choices that are healthier for Mother Nature. We should use greener and alternative energy sources. Our needs and wants should be minimized. Planting trees will slow down global warming but we should act actively in different verticals to stop global warming.

What's worse is the rise in temperature leading a meltdown of ice among the arctic creating an extreme difficult condition and the struggle for species to make a living. Essentially, global […]
How Can Climate Change Affect Natural Disasters?
Global warming is considered a consensus problem which affected the lives of many people and nature catastrophically. This terrible phenomenon can be described as the rise of the regular temperature of earth which occurs when pollutants in the atmosphere absorb the heat that has bounced off the surface and should be taken to space. (Venkataramanan, 2011). Many people disagree on its existence, however the usual temperature of earth has risen about 1 degree Fahrenheit as said by NASA (Hardy, 2003). […]
Global Warming – Rising Temperature of the Atmosphere and Ocean
Throughout earth's history, climate has fluctuated (for example ice age). However, if you take into account how many organisms have evolved, and how each one depends on their habitats to survive, fluctuations will be more harmful now, especially to humanity. The main cause of global warming is thought to be the result of human actions, for example; Carbon dioxide emissions (from cars and other transport) interfering with the Ozone layer, deforestation (from workers creating space for cattle grazing), and farming […]
Global Warming: its Causes and its Real Impact on the Earth
The steadily increasing temperature of our planet's atmosphere is known as global warming. Global warming has been a subject of much political and social controversy in recent years due to arguments questioning its legitimacy. When the facts of these arguments are seen in context, their relevance becomes apparent. The data clearly indicate that global warming is happening and that it is human-induced. The anthropogenic emission of greenhouse gases negatively impacts our environment, causing an increase in global temperature. This results […]
Greenhouse Effect & Types of Pollution
Transportation, industrial, phonic, water and air are all types of pollution coming from personal cars, cruise ships and smokestacks, decreasing the clean air to breathe, homes for animals, food production, and great changes to the poles. Global warming is severely affecting our planet, and it continues to grow out of control. Global warming is the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere. This causes the greenhouse gases to increase, increasing the levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and […]
Global Warming Affects the Natural Balance of Environment
The world climate is changing significantly day by day. What is Global Warming? Global Warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide. Climate change causes an increase in average temperature. However a worldwide temperature adjustment are caused by characteristic occasions and humans that are accepted to be an add to accretion in normal temperatures. An Earth-wide temperature boost is a difficult issue […]
The Art of Global Warming
Mankind has felt the need to leave its mark on history since the dawn of human civilization. There is evidence of this close to home in the tallest skyscrapers of New York and as far-reaching as Neil Armstrong's footprints on the moon. But how far is too far? As we have grown, so too has our knowledge of the world and the advancements in science and technology that come with it. So much so, that we are now faced with […]
Climatic Changes in Greenland
Greenland is mostly covered in ice making it susceptible to melting from warm temperatures. The reason this country is named Greenland is because when Erik the Red was banned from Iceland he discovered this icy country and gave it the name in hopes of people settling (Pandita). In July and August of this year, the number of surface melt days on the Southwestern coast of Greenland was significantly above average, which is clearly an indication that global warming has begun […]
Global Warming – a Fix for the Future
Everyone has heard the infamous words global warming, but not many understand the disaster that's happening. Terms are thrown out such as carbon emissions and greenhouse gases the list goes on, and those not scientifically savvy tend to brush off what may become the downfall of humanity. According to Nasa's official website, The planet's average surface temperature has risen about 1.62 degrees Fahrenheit (0.9 degrees Celsius) since the late 19th century, a change driven largely by increased carbon dioxide and […]
Global Warming and the Future of the World’s Climate
Although hard to imagine, in less than a hundred years the US East Coast and other stretches of coastline around the world could be submerged underwater. Cites such as New York, New Orleans, and Houston could be swamped off the map as the waters of the Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico overtook the previously dry land. The skyscrapers of the old downtown areas would become islands poking out of a vast sea of blue covering the roads and old infrastructure. […]

Climate Change: Vulnerability and Responsibility
When it comes to the environment people talk about how it is important to care for the earth we live in. While it is important to discuss such issues it is more beneficial to take action rather than to just talk about it. The earth is in desperate need of aid and though to many, it may not matter that the earth has increased a few degrees it can and has had devastating impacts. Taking responsibility for our home is […]

It makes me wonder why so much of America can't see the problems that are being created just by our everyday actions. Due to the fact that the issue is still under mass controversy leads the topic of global warming to be a […]
Causes and Effects of Global Warming
People are arguing if global warming is caused by man or if its a natural occurrence. Well, volcanoes have contributed to global warming such as El Chichon in 1982 and Pinatubo in 1991 they have cooled the earth's temperature but this was temporary. however, the amount of carbon dioxide they reliance is small compared to humans there are other things that can cause natural temperature changes tiny wiggles in the earth's orbit can change when and where sunlight hits even […]
The Greenhouse Effect
Human activities have contributed to what we now know as 'Global Warming' since the 19th century. Global Warming also known as the Greenhouse Effect is the warming that happens when Earth's atmosphere traps heat, almost like the walls of a greenhouse. Sunlight shines on the Earth where it is then absorbed and radiated back into the atmosphere as heat and is then trapped by what we call greenhouse gasses. Experts warn that we only have until 2030 to stem catastrophic […]

Global warming is a widespread phenomenon than threatens human existence. By definition, the term refers to the gradual increase of average temperatures of the Earth’s atmosphere, surface, seas, and oceans. Such fluctuations cause ice caps to melt, sea levels to rise, weather patterns to change, and animal species to go extinct. Even worse, all these shifts have a detrimental effect on human health and behavior. But do we know what’s causing it and how we can prevent it until it’s too late? The primary reason underlying temperature rise lies in the excessive quantities of carbon dioxide released into the air. This further leads to climate change and slowly turns our planet into a scary furnace and a dead-end for humanity. To help tackle this pending danger, teachers often assign global warming argumentative essay topics to students. Making young people aware of the problem at an early age is a critical step in finding a solution. In addition, the more students research environmental issues, the more eager they get to preserve our unique homes and natural habitats. Furthermore, there are still dilemmas and controversies on whether the greenhouse effect is man-caused on not. To this end, a properly researched argumentative essay on global warming can clarify many doubts. And besides having a scientific nature, these papers are also very informative and enable young people to raise their voices and express their opinion. Be it delivered as a written summary or public speech, your research paper about global warming can urge the community to act. To do so, you must outline your work to stand out and leave an impact on your audience. In short, consider framing a thesis statement that raises the most imminent issues.
