AIIMS New Delhi offers admissions to 8 UG, 49 postgraduate and 68 doctoral programmes. Before applying for AIIMS Delhi admissions the candidates should take the relevant entrance examination and secure a valid score in it. The non-clinical and para-clinical subjects like pathology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology and PSM are taught well. However, there is irregularities in classes for core Optometry and eye care related subjects. There is no specific tutor for teaching Optometry at AIIMS, Delhi and hardly a few Ophthalmology professors show interest in taking classes. Technicians from non-academic cadre are involved in classes and examinations and individuals from non-administrative cadre manage (mis-manage) the course. The updated curriculum is never implemented since two decades or more till date. In name of practical, students are directly involved in patient care and experiments on patients, sometimes even without any supervision and guidance. In absence of qualified workforce, students are made as Leave Reservists (LR) and even involved in reducing the work load of Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, Delhi. Examination system is non-transparent and viva voice are often filled with favouritism. When any student try to raise issues and complaints of academic irregularities, course mis-management and favouritism, accountable authorities start defaming and threatening students for marks, degree, project and jobs. Two famous Hindi proverbs describe how our dreams are killed and the mental health impact on students- "Naam Bade aur Darshan Chote" and "Unchi Dukan Feeke Pakwan"

It is unsatisfactory.

Academics is worst ever , they don't want to teach us because they have fear we will not learn practice. Even they doesn't assign specific tutor .From more than 15 years our curriculum is not updated yet.

I was studying B.Optometry in batch 2018-2022. All classes taken by Professor or senior residents, who has good practical and theoretical knowledge. Curriculum is updating every time according to advancement in medical field.

What is the process of getting admission in delhi aiims.

The process of admission in AIIMS, Delhi is different for different course. For MBBS, candidates must have the required eligibility criteria and clear the NEET examination with valid scores. If I am studying MBBS in Aiims Do i need to do my PG from Aiims as well?

Hello aspirant

If you are doing your mbbs from aiims and wosh to continue your pg courses from aiims, it will depend upon your neet pg score .

Also on cut off neet pg in that year . Cut off keeps cchanging every year and depends upon Number of candidates appeared in exam, Toughness level of exam,  seat intake and previous year's cut off.

If you qualify neet pg with the score around cut off then you will definitely get pg seat in aiims .

AIIMS Delhi’s main campus is located in Ansari Nagar, Delhi, covering 115 acres. The campus is next to the South Extension-II market and spans both sides of Sir Aurobindo Marg, near the AIIMS Roundabout flyover.

Campus Facilities

East Campus : This area includes the OPD Block, Main Hospital Block, Ward Block, Medical College, Research Section, Convergence Block, BB Dixit Library, Administrative Wing, Undergraduate Hostels, Central Lawn, Jawaharlal Auditorium, and staff quarters. Specialty centers here are for Cardiothoracic + Neurosciences, Cancer, Ophthalmic Sciences, and Dental Education and Research.

West Campus : Mainly contains staff quarters and residences for faculty and staff members.

JPNA Trauma Center : Dedicated to emergency services, connected to the East Campus by a tunnel and ramp-road for efficient patient transfer. It includes a new 100-bed Plastic and Burns Surgical Unit Hospital with a Skin Bank for Burns Injuries.

Masjid Moth Campus : Contains new apartments for Post-Graduate and Resident Doctors, an underground parking block, and new buildings for OPD, Mother and Child Care Unit, Surgical Block, and Geriatric Block.

Ayurvigyan Nagar Campus : Reserved for faculty and staff residential accommodations.

AIIMS Delhi Hostel

AIIMS Delhi offers 21 hostels spread across its campuses, providing around 2,717 seats. These hostels accommodate single students, residents, and married students/families. Facilities include a mess, canteen, juice shop, and Amul shop for convenience. Single rooms come furnished with a bed, cupboard, table, chair, and bookshelf. Married accommodations are similarly furnished. This information is particularly useful for NEET aspirants aiming for AIIMS.

INI SS July 2024: AIIMS Releases Final Ineligible Candidates List

New Delhi- The Examination Section of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the final list of candidates who are not eligible for admission to DM/M.Ch./MD (Hospital Administration) courses for the July 2024 session due to not uploading/uploading invalid postgraduate/tenure completion certificates.

As per the list, there are a total of 23 candidates who have been declared ineligible for admission to DM/M.Ch./MD (Hospital Administration) courses for the July 2024 session. Out of these 23 candidates, 14 are from the DM course and 9 candidates are from the MCH course. Apart from this, 18 candidates are from the unreserved category (UR) category, 3 are from the OBC (NCL) category and 2 are from the SC category.

INI-SS for July 2024 session is planned to be held in 16 cities in India such as Ahmedabad, Puducherry, Bhopal, Bhopal.
