బెంగాలీ సినిమాలు సహజత్వానికి చాలా దగ్గరగా ఉంటాయి. పాత్రలన్నీ కూడా సాధారణ జీవన శైలిని టచ్ చేస్తూ వెళుతుంటాయి. అయితే బెంగాలీ సినిమాలు తెలుగు అనువాదాలుగా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది చాలా తక్కువనే చెప్పాలి. అలాంటి బెంగాలీ భాషలో రూపొందిన 'హవా' అనే సినిమా, 2022 జులై 29వ తేదీన అక్కడి థియేటర్స్ కి వచ్చింది. మంచి వసూళ్లను రాబట్టడమే కాకుండా, ప్రశంసలను అందుకుంది. ఆ సినిమా 'సోనీ లివ్' లో ఈ నెల 7వ తేదీ నుంచి స్ట్రీమింగ్ అవుతోంది. బెంగాలితో పాటు మరో నాలుగు భాషల్లో ఈ సినిమాను అందుబాటులో ఉంచారు. ఈ సినిమా ప్రత్యేకత ఏమిటనేది చూద్దాం. ఈ కథ జాలరుల జీవితాలకి సంబంధించిన నేపథ్యంలో కొనసాగుతుంది. సముద్రంలో చేపల వేటకి ఛాన్ (చంచల్) నాయకత్వంలో పెద్ద బోట్ బయల్దేరుతుంది. అతనితో పాటు ఇబా .. నాగు .. ఎజా .. ఉర్కేశ్ .. మోర .. పర్కేశ్ .. ఫోనీ ఆ బోటులో ముందుకు సాగుతారు. వాళ్లలో 'ఇబా' (సరిఫుల్ రజ్) అనేవాడు బోట్ ఇంజన్ కి సంబంధించిన ఏ సమస్య తలెత్తినా సరిచేయగల సమర్థుడు. ఛాన్ బోట్ డ్రైవ్ చేస్తూ ఉంటే, మిగతా వాళ్లంతా వలలు వదిలి .. లాగడం వంటి పని చేస్తూ ఉంటారు. చేపలను వేటాడుతూ వాళ్లంతా కూడా సముద్రంలో చాలా లోపలికి వెళతారు. వాళ్లు వదిలిన వలలో ఒక అందమైన యువతి (నజీఫా తుషి) పడుతుంది. ఆమె చనిపోయిందనే వాళ్లంతా అనుకుంటారు. కానీ ఆమె నెమ్మదిగా సృహలోకి వస్తుంది. సముద్రం మధ్యలో వదిలిన వలలో ఆమె పడటం .. ప్రాణాలతో ఉండటం వాళ్లకి ఆశ్చర్యాన్ని కలిగిస్తుంది. అదే విషయాన్ని ఆమెను అడిగితే, ఆమె మౌనంగా ఉండిపోతుంది. దాంతో ఆమె 'మూగ' అనే విషయం వాళ్లకి అర్థమవుతుంది. మిగతా బోట్లపై ఉన్నవారికి ఈ యువతి కనిపించకుండా జాగ్రత్తపడుతూ 'ఛాన్' బోట్ ముందుకు వెళుతూ ఉంటుంది. ఎప్పుడైతే ఒక యువతి బోట్ లోకి వచ్చిందో అప్పటి నుంచి, అందులోని వాళ్లందరి ప్రవర్తనలో మార్పు వస్తుంది. ఛాన్ .. నాగు ఆమెను వశపరచుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నించి భంగపడతారు. తమని ఆ అమ్మాయి కాదనడంతో కోపం పెంచుకుంటారు. వీలైతే కోరిక ... లేదంటే పగ తీర్చుకునే సమయం కోసం వెయిట్ చేస్తుంటారు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే 'ఇబా' కూడా ఆమెపై మనసు పారేసుకుంటాడు. ఆమె కూడా అతనితో సాన్నిహిత్యాన్ని కోరుకుంటుంది. ఆమెకి మాటలు వచ్చనే సంగతి తెలిసి 'ఇబా' ఆశ్చర్యపోతాడు. తనపేరు 'గుల్టీ' అంటూ ఆమె తనకి గల ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ చెబుతుంది. తమ బోట్ లోకి ఆమె రావడానికి గల కారణం ఏమిటని 'ఇబా' అడుగుతాడు. అందుకు ఆమె చెప్పిన మాటకి అతను బిత్తరపోతాడు. ఆ యువతి తమను కాదని 'ఇబా'తో చనువుగా ఉండటాన్ని 'ఛాన్' .. 'నాగు' తట్టుకోలేకపోతారు. ఆ యువతిని ఆ బోట్ లో నుంచి సముద్రంలోకి తోసేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకుంటారు. ఈ విషయంలో తమని అడ్డుకున్న 'ఇబా'ను చంపేస్తారు. అప్పుడు గుల్టీ ఏం చేస్తుంది? 'ఇబా' మరణం తరువాత ఆ బోట్ లో ఎలాంటి పరిస్థితులు చోటుచేసుకుంటాయి? వాళ్లంతా తిరిగి క్షేమంగా తీరానికి చేరుకున్నారా? లేదా? అనే ఆసక్తికరమైన అంశాలతో ఈ మిస్టరీ డ్రామా నడుస్తుంది. దర్శకుడు రహ్మాన్ సుమోన్ అల్లుకున్న ఈ కథ .. నడిపించిన కథనం ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉన్నాయి. ఎటు చూసినా సముద్రం .. మధ్యలో ఒక బోటు .. అందులో తొమ్మిది మంది వ్యక్తులు. ఈ బోట్ లోనే కథ మొత్తం నడవాలి .. ఎక్కడా బోర్ కొట్టకూడదు. అలాంటి ఈ పాయింటును దర్శకుడు చాలా ఆసక్తికరంగా నడిపించాడు. అప్పటివరకూ చేపలను పట్టడంలోనే దృష్టి పెడుతూ వచ్చిన వాళ్లంతా, ఒక యువతి ఎంట్రీతో ఎలా శత్రువులయ్యారనేది దర్శకుడు చాలా సహజంగా చూపించాడు. అలాగే జాలరుల జీవితాలు .. సముద్రంపై వాళ్లకి గల అవగాహన .. బోట్ లో వాళ్లు చేసుకునే ఏర్పాట్లు .. సముద్రంపైకి వెళ్లిన తరువాత వాళ్ల జీవనశైలి ఎలా ఉంటుంది? అనేది గొప్పగా ఆవిష్కరించాడు. బోట్ లో ప్రేక్షకుడు కూడా ఒక పాత్రగా నిలబడతాడు. వాళ్లతో కలిసి ప్రయాణం చేస్తూ ఉంటాడు. అంతటి సహజంగా ఈ సినిమా ముందుకు నడుస్తూ ఉంటుంది. అయితే ఆ యువతి చెప్పే ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ లో క్లారిటీ లోపించింది. అది అనువాదంలో జరిగిన పొరపాటా? లేదంటే ఒరిజినల్ లోనే అలా ఉందా? అనేది చెప్పలేం. ఈ సినిమాలో ప్రధానమైన పాత్రలలో కనిపించే తొమ్మిది మంది ఆర్టిస్టులు కూడా చాలా సహజంగా నటించారు. ఈ పాత్రలను డిజైన్ చేసిన తీరు ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. అందువలన నటీనటులు కాకుండా జాలరులు మాత్రమే మన కళ్లకు కనిపిస్తూ ఉంటారు. 'ఛాన్' పాత్ర .. బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ ఈ సినిమాకి హైలైట్ గా చెప్పుకోవాలి. బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ .. కెమెరా పనితనం .. ఎడిటింగ్ బాగున్నాయి. సముద్రం నేపథ్యంలో నడిచే కథలను ఇష్టపడేవారు ఈ సినిమా చూడొచ్చు.

With “ Kalki 2898 AD ,” Telugu cinema filmmaker Nag Ashwin rifles through a century of sci-fi and fantasy extravaganzas to create a wildly uneven mashup of everything from Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” to Marvel Comics movies, underpinned by elements from the Hindu epic poem “Mahabharata.” It’s billed, perhaps optimistically, as the first chapter of the Kalki Cinematic Universe franchise — which makes it part of a larger trend, since it launches the same weekend that Kevin Costner’s multi-film “Horizon” saga does in the U.S.

Bhairava (Telugu superstar Prabhas ), a roguish bounty hunter who rolls in a tricked-out faux Batmobile equipped with a robotic co-pilot, yearns to earn enough “credits” to buy his way into the Complex, where he can crash the best parties, ride horses through open fields and avoid all the debt collectors hounding him in Kasi. He seizes on the opportunity to make his dreams come true when a colossal reward is posted for the capture of SUM-80 (Deepika Padukone), an escapee from the Complex’s Project K lab, where pregnant women are routinely incinerated after being drained of fluids that can ensure Yaskin’s longevity.
While on the run through a desert wasteland, en route to the rebel enclave known as Shambala, SUM-80 is renamed Sumati by newfound allies and, more important, protected by the now-ancient Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan), who has evolved into an 8-foot-tall sage with superhuman strength, kinda-sorta like Obi-Wan Kenobi on steroids, and a sharp eye for any woman who might qualify as the Mother, the long-prophesized parent of — yes, you guessed it — Kalki.
Bhairava and his droid sidekick Bujji (voiced by Shambala Keerthy Suresh) follow in hot pursuit, and are in turn pursued by an army of storm troopers led by Commander Manas (Saswata Chatterjee), a cherubic-faced Yaskin factotum who always seems to be trying a shade too hard to exude intimidating, butch-level authority. Ashwatthama swats away the storm troopers and their flying vehicles like so many bothersome flies, and exerts only slightly more effort by warding off Bhairava and his high-tech weaponry. (Shoes that enable you to fly do qualify as weaponry, right?)
For his own part, Bhairava has a few magical powers of his own, though it’s never entirely clear what he can or cannot do with them. After a while, it’s tempting to simply assume that, in any given scene, the bounty hunter can do whatever the script requires him to do.
But never mind: He and Ashwatthama do their respective things excitingly well during the marathon of mortal combat that ensues when just about everybody (including Manas and his heavily armed goons) get ready to rumble in Shambala for the climactic clash.
All of which may make “Kalki 2898 AD” sound a great deal more coherent than it actually is. Truth to tell, this is a movie that can easily lead you at some point to just throw up your hands and go with the flow. Or enjoy the rollercoaster ride. And if this really is, as reported, the most expensive motion picture ever produced in India, at least it looks like every penny and more is right there up on the screen.

Hawa is a 2003 Hindi horror film starring Tabu. The film was an unofficial remake of the 1983 American horror film The Entity which starred Barbara Hershey. Hawa was later dubbed into Telugu as Naa Intlo Oka Roju and then in Tamil as Raja Leelai. This was Hansika Motwani’s on-screen debut as a child artist.
The beautiful Sanjana is a divorcee who moves to a hillside house, as she cannot afford a house in the city. To earn her living, she runs her stepfather’s antique shop. However, it is not long before strange occurrences begin near and in her home. One day, a Tibetan old lady gives her an antique locket at her antique shop and leaves. Sanjana sells it to a tourist couple for 500 rupees. Sanjana finds the lady on the way to her home to return the money, but she discovers that the lady was dead. The locket is returned to Sanjana by the tourist as the Tibetan lady keeps haunting the couple to make them return it. Later Sanjana is tortured and physically raped multiple times by an invisible demon, first in her room, then at shower, and then in front her own kids. Her dog becomes possessed soon after, and attacks her and Vicky, her younger brother. Sanjana consults a psychiatrist who doesn’t believe her at despite telling him multiple times. Soon, the invisible demon has sensual sex with Sanjana, which she gets orgasm but soon regrets for having sex with an invisible being, after while The demon takes away her younger daughter from Sanjana. She calls her psychiatric friend and he brings a parapsychologist. Sanjana comes to learn that the demon comes from an old well, where the tribals used to push down and kill criminals as punishment. Due to lightning striking the well, one soul who was rapist, was thrown in the well and killed, has now escapes and he fell for her lust towards Sanjana. The parapsychologist opens the well from which all the evil spirits come out and attacks him.
Sanjana jumps into the well to bring back her daughter. There all the spirits get combined into a huge demon. Sanjana throws the Tibetan locket to hit the demon, which then dissolves. The soul of Sanjana’s father comes as an angel and returns her younger daughter.
Sanjana prepares to leave her house and suddenly the door closes. A demonic voice calls her and she opens the door, but finds nothing. Before leaving, her younger daughter suddenly runs to the house and the door closes.

A gripping nightmarish journey in broad daylight which revolves around 9 Brains.. 9 Crimes.. 9 Hours..!!
The story is set in Australia. Charlie (Chaitanya Rao Madadi) loses his parents at a young age and gets into small-time crimes to make it big in life. Fed up with his small earnings, he decides to bag a jackpot by betting on a dark horse in the Australian race. He takes the help of his friend Mikey to use Mikey's boss Bijli Bhai's card to bet a huge amount in a Horse Race believing a tip-off. But when they end up losing all the money, they run which puts them and Charlie's girlfriend Divi (Divi Prasanna) in danger, and they find themselves amidst 9 crimes planned by 9 people within 9 hours.
How Charlie comes out of this mess and how he saves his love-interest (Divi Prasanna), family and friend Mikey is the rest of the story.

In my opinion, "Hawa" seemed like a poor attempt to create a fusion between Bangladesh's coastal region's various myths and folklore with Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," with a pinch of borrowed nostalgia from the 1989 blockbuster Bangladeshi film "Beder Meye Josna.". No PG-13 guidelines or warnings.
