Listening is the first skill we are subjected to. We should spend almost 45% of our time in using this skill. Real listening is an active process. It takes practice and requires attention. Effective Listening is a process of analyzing sounds, organizing them into recognizable pattern, interpreting the pattern and understanding the message by inferring the meaning. So in real listening meaning and evaluation of message takes place before listener can respond. There are some fallacies about listening like; Listening and hearing are not same. Hearing is first stage of Listening. Hearing means picking up sound waves, which are transported to brain while listening is communicative process. Listening has various objectives. Effective listening is the thrust which a speaker wants to convey. But there are various Barriers to it. This paper is written for giving highlights on the meaning and objectives of effective listening, the various approaches to listening, and types of listening, strategies to make listening effective and the methods of assessment of listening. Education is a basic right for students. Each student is entitled to receive good quality education. Universities around the world are constantly looking out for innovative ways to impart education to students. By using computers and computer applications in teaching the education sector has surely reaped the benefits of technology. However technology constantly undergoes an upgrade and educators need to be adept at incorporating new technology in their current pedagogies. This research focuses on demonstrating the effectiveness of using video clips as a pedagogical tool as compared to other traditional methods of teaching such as white board method and slideshows. Use of video clips in teaching has given rise to the flipped classroom model and this research aims to elucidate the benefits of this new teaching style. In flipped learning, part or all of direct instruction and explanation is delivered through videos and the class time is used for engaging students in collaborative, hands-on activities. The most meaningful learning in a flipped classroom occurs as a result of efficient use of the extra class time (Szparagowski, R. 2014). In order to determine the effectiveness of video usage in teaching both qualitative and quantitative data are explored in this study. In a research article published in the British journal of educational technology multiple studies on flipped learning in engineering education were critically appraised and summarized to describe the current state of knowledge and practice in the flipped learning approach in engineering education and to provide guidance for practitioners. Their analysis yielded that flipped learning gained popularity amongst engineering educators after 2012. Review of 13 studies reported that students in the flipped classroom outperformed their counterparts in the traditional classrooms. This research article also mentioned the benefits and challenges of this approach. The benefits listed were flexibility, improvement in interaction, professional skills, and student engagement. Challenges included increased workload for faculty, student resistance, technical issues, decreased interest and neglected material. Students resisted this form of pedagogy because of having gone through a traditional approach throughout their educational career. The students felt overwhelmed when faced with a new approach that required them to actively participate in the learning process (Karabulut-Ilgu, A., Cherrez, N. J., & Jahren, C.T. 2017). Bishop & Verleger (2013) pointed out that despite differences among the studies documented about the flipped classroom model, general reports of student perceptions towards this model were relatively consistent. Opinions tended to be positive, but there were invariably a few students who strongly disliked the change. The study also highlighted that students supplied with optional video lectures came to class much better prepared than when they had been given textbook readings. The students preferred live in-person lectures to video lectures, but also liked interactive class time more than in-person lectures. Also shorter, rather than longer videos were preferred. Tune & Basile (2013) assessed the effectiveness of a traditional lecture-based curriculum versus a modified ―flipped classroom‖ curriculum of cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal physiology delivered to first-year graduate students. Their research showed that students who were part of the flipped model scored significantly higher on the test compared to the students who were part of the traditional lecture-based curriculum. Based on their experience and responses obtained in blinded student surveys, they proposed that the use of homework and in-class quizzes were critical motivating factors that likely contributed to the increase in student exam performance. Their findings support that the flipped classroom model is a highly effective means in imparting knowledge to graduate medical students.

Sampling method of this study is multistage sampling and questionnaire was used to collect data. Results were analyzed by SPSS and LISREL software programs and findings of this analysis confirmed conceptual model.

—Listening plays a significant role in daily communication and educational process. In spite of its importance, listening has long been the neglected skill in second language acquisition, research, teaching, and assessment. However, in recent years there has been an increased focus on L2 listening ability because of its perceived importance in language learning and teaching. The study tries to find the factors influencing English listening comprehension and the strategies to be taken that might improve students' listening comprehension. The paper focuses on four main issues. First, it discusses the definition of listening, significance of listening. Second, it reviews the process of listening comprehension, strategies of listening comprehension. Third, analysis of listening comprehension problems is reviewed. Fourth, teaching methods for listening comprehension will be discussed. Fifth, researchers review teaching listening activities. Sixth, general principles in teaching listening comprehension are discussed. Findings based on the review of the literature along with analysis of the data are of great significance and can be advantageous to improve EFL learners' English listening comprehension skill.

The Health Insurance is the Insurance that covers the whole or a part of the risk a person incurring to cover the medical expenses. By 2020, India is expected to be one among the three ranks in the health care markets in terms of growth. CAGR of India's health care sector is expected to rise to 22.87 percent during the period of 2015-2020 and reach US dollar 280 billion in the year 2020. In the rural areas, where the 70% of Indian population live, the traditional system of medicine is widespread. There are nearly 2860 hospitals for Traditional System of Medicine (TSM) with 45,720 beds in India. More than 75% of these beds are occupied by the patients receiving ayurvedic treatment in the previous years. There are approximately 5,87,536 registered traditional medicine practitioners and homeopaths, which includes both institutionally and non-institutionally qualified. There are only less than one-third i.e., 29% of households have atleast one member of the family is covered in any health insurance or any health scheme in India. The researcher attempts to study the consumers/patients as well as the practitioner's perception towards the health insurance, in this paper. The study was conducted keeping in mind, the various dimensions like (I) the consumer of the Traditional System of Medicine may or may not be aware of the availability of the coverage (II) The respondents may or may not have opted for any kind of Insurance, even though the respondents were aware of the availability (III) if the respondent have taken any insurance, the researcher had to analyze the basic motive and the various factors considered. (IV) The reason for which the respondents have not thought of any insurance, if they haven't taken so far. (V) The willingness of the respondents to opt for any new insurance product and the primary factor which makes them to buy or opt for any insurance product. With the help of these basic objectives, the above dimensions are effectively analyzed like (I) by listing the issues in the current insurance product (II) examining the distinct features of traditional system of medicine (III) comparing the perceptions of the practitioners as well as the consumers in this regard and finally (IV) suggesting suitable remedial actions through a new product or modifying the existing product.

Financial Inclusion is the process of ensuring access to appropriate financial products and services needed by all sections of the society in general and low income group in particular at an affordable cost in a fair and transparent manner by mainstream institutional players. It plays a prominent role in creating and enhancing inclusive economic growth. More than half the adult population in Indian economy still does not have access to formal financial services. Promoting financial inclusion has been a mammoth challenge for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the government. Since India's independence, the highest priority remained as increasing economic growth, education for all and financial inclusion. One of the biggest components of financial inclusion is financial literacy. Financial literacy is the ability to understand how money works: how someone makes, manages, invests and also expends it. Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy need to go hand in hand to enable the common man to understand the needs and benefits of the products and services offered by the formal financial institutions. Financial inclusion without financial literacy has no meaning as the stakeholders cannot grasp the benefits/ risks associated. India has made rapid strides in technology and it is important now to look at financial inclusion through the prism of the digital India. The major problem here is that the un-served sector might not utilise the technology enabled financial services because they are not aware of and literate in technology innovations in digitized financial services. This paper attempts to identify the recent innovations in financial inclusion and the role of financial literacy in creating awareness through various initiatives taken by Government of India, RBI, banks etc., to reach the financial services.

The aim of this paper is to show the importance of listening and speaking skills in the classroom in order to get a perfect acquisition of the second language. Although these skills have been explained separately, they are really connected and it is really important to put into practice together and integrate them with the rest of skills. Studying English is based on the development of four language skills. For speakers, listening and speaking tend to be more complicated than the acquisition of other skills, such as reading or writing, since the former are quite difficult to practice when the student does not live in an English speaking country. For this reason, this paper deals with some activities to develop with the students in order to develop these skills and show why it is important to develop and the difficulties the learners have.

Effective language instructors show students how they can adjust their listening behavior to deal with a variety of situations, types of input, and listening purposes. They help syudents develop a set of listening strategies and match appropriate strategies to each listening situation. A. Listening strategies Listening strategies are techniques or activities that contribute directly to the comprehension and recall of listening input. Listening strategies can be classified by how the listener processes the input. Listening ability is one of skill in English language lessons to mater the skills of students with three others, namely reading, writing, and listening. From experience and discussion with several students, many who find it difficult to reach the expected competent in this skills. Often, in practice, teachers are less able to teach listening that is easily understod by students. This resulted in many students who failed the exam and had to repeat listening. Top-down strategies are listener based; the listener taps into background knowledge of the topic, the situation or context, the type of the text, and the language. The background helps the listener to interpret what is heard and anticipate what will come next.
