Higher Engineering Science
Remember that you should know all about the work from last year. You can use the National 5 site to ensure that you have a good working knowledge.
This year you will be building on the work done in N5 in each of the topics, and expanding your knowledge. It might help you to read through the course specification so that you are clear what you might be asked about.
Outcomes are no longer part of the overall course award but it is important to keep a record of all the work you have done in class in case we need to submit evidence for units only. This will mean that if you don't make it to the exam, we can still submit your work so that you can get credit for what you have covered.
Your assignment will be 31% of your overall mark, and will pull on your knowledge for each of the topics, as your National 5 assignment did.
Brightred (who make the textbook) do have an online resource which you can find here . This has online revision materials and tests that you can use to test your knowledge. You do have to register to be able to use this resource.

Higher Engineering Science aims to provide students with an understanding of the scientific principles that underpin the design and operation of modern engineering systems. It builds a sound scientific foundation for further study of electronics, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
