For example, if you visited an underground cave, you might discuss a particular type of bat or an unusual plant that grows in the cave. Use outside research or information from the tour guide to support your data, and cite your references clearly, so your teacher knows where you got the information. When possible, use academic journals or magazines to support details in your observation report of the field visit.

End with Compelling Conclusion

Conclude your field trip report with a summary of your overall experience, including reasons why others might want to visit the location. You might include a brief summary of a personal discussion you had with the tour guide or field trip facilitator or cite a distinguishable fact from your research. Whether you’re a student or a professional, a visit report helps you document the procedures and processes at an industrial or corporate location. These reports are fairly straightforward. Describe the site first and explain what you did while you were there. If required, reflect on what you learned during your visit. No additional research or information is needed.

Explain the site's purpose, operations, and what happened during the visit. Identify the site's strengths and weaknesses, along with your recommendations for improvement. Include relevant photos or diagrams to supplement your report.

Describing the Site

Step 1 Look over the requirements of your visit report.

  • Reports are usually only 2-3 pages long, but in some cases, these reports may be much longer.
  • In some cases, you may be asked to give recommendations or opinions about the site. In other cases, you will be asked only to describe the site.
  • Ask your boss or instructor for models of other visit reports. If you can't get a model, look up samples online.

How to Write an Educational Report

Educational reports cover a variety of topics, from feedback about a teaching session to reports on the need for additional classrooms and resources. Regardless of the topic of your educational report, you want to make it logical and understandable so your reader sees why you are making certain recommendations. Crafting an educational report becomes easier when you break it down into steps and present your findings in order.

Contextualize the topic of your educational report. Before you begin writing, think about your audience and what they need to know to understand your educational report. This can be done in two or three sentences, as it is an overview, with the details coming later.

Introduce your topic details and indicate your developmental plans for addressing the issues. In each section of your educational report, cover the five "Ws:" who, what, when, where and why. Define any terms your reader may not understand.

Use a top-down formula. Start with the most important points you want to cover in your educational report and then move to topics of lesser concern. When you change ideas, start a new paragraph.

Draft your report in easy-to-understand English. Vary your sentence length and don’t use a big word when a small one will do.

Read your educational report aloud. Listen to how it sounds in terms of professional tone. Put yourself in your reader’s place and assess how you would receive the information. Edit accordingly.

Polish your educational report. Leave your report for a day or so and then return to it with fresh eyes. Correct any typing or grammar mistakes. If you have concerns, ask a colleague with good editing skills to review your report.

Attach any relevant information, such as technical reports on facilities or conference programs that supports your educational report.

Plans have been made for the students to visit the Golconda Fort, Char Minar, Salar Jung Museum, Hussain Sagar Lake, Ramoji Film City, Surendrapuri Mythological Awareness Museum, Birla Planetarium, Hyderabad Zoo and Chowmahalla Palace.

Students will be divided into groups based on their ages and everyone will be under the supervision of our teachers at all times. All the students who are interested in joining us for the educational tour are requested to contact their respective class teachers and submit their names by the 27th of April. An Educational Tour

It is to inform all the students of classes 10 and 12 that a one-day excursion and educational tour will be conducted by our school in collaboration with Ashtha Foundation to the National Museum on 30th June 2022. The tour intends to create an awareness in the students about the literary and cultural heritage of our country. Interested students can submit their names to their respective class teachers.

All students must submit a consent letter with their guardians’ contact details and 500 rupees as entry fees by the 20th. The students are requested not to cancel later on unless some pressing issue is there. They must report to the school on the 30th by 7 am. Latecomers and unruly students will be excluded. An educational tour was organized by our school on the occasion of world science day which comes on 10 Nov each year. Our school took us to Hampi in Karnataka to show us many things related to science and discoveries. Our science teacher Miss Durga Singh ma’am introduced us to many temples and architectures from the Vijayanagaraempire. I asked ma’am a lot of questions regarding the rulers and their history and she told me about the fine art of Hampi and that it was included in world heritage site inscription in the year 1986 by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Our tour started at 7am when we boarded from our school in a bus. We reached our destination in 2.5 hours and enjoyed a lot in the bus. We searched about Hampi and tried to learn places for easy recognition. After sight seeing and learning about the place from local people and tourist guide we all got tired and decided to eat. In the afternoon we were given lunch at 1pm after which our school took us to an amusement park. After enjoying water rides and playing in the park ,at exactly 5 pm we reached our school back where our parents were waiting for us. We all together thanked our principal air and school staff who took us to this amazing tour. I hope every school takes their children to educational tour as it gives us information regarding many areas and helps us bond with each other. This educational tour helped us know our great culture and artists of past who were masters of their field.

EDUCATIONAL TOUR REPORT

Uttaranchal (pg) college of bio-medical sciences and hospital, dehradun-248001 (u.k) india, report on: educational tour report to dr. y.s. parmar university of horticulture and forestry, solan, h.p., date of program: (18-11-2019 to 21-11-2019).

This was four days educational tour report of Forestry students (III rd Semester) to Dr. Y.S Parmar University, Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh and adjacent areas. The tour was organized by Mrs. Izenti Reang, Faculty, Department of Forestry and accompanied by Ms. Anju Rawat to supervise the students in their field based practicals and expertise. The tour was started at 09:00am from the college and arrived Solan area at 9:30 PM on 18-11-2019. On the way, at 01:30 PM we reached at KVK (Dr. Y.S Parmar University), Dhaulakuan, where the senior Scientist Dr. A.K Joshi delivered a lecture on different types of propagation and different varieties of fruits and medicinal plants invented by their KVK Scientists.

The workshop and field based practicals was a training for Forestry students during their educational tour to Dr. Y.S. Parmar University, Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. In the workshop, experts have delivered a series of lecturers, hands-on experience on various instruments, tools, labs visits, herbarium, libarary, forestry-scopes and applications, and conducted a number of field based excursion visitis along with lectures. The field based excursion visit was on Tree improvements, Genetics & Breeding, Seed orchads (clonal and seed), Medicinal and Aromatic plants, Nurseries, Arboratum, Cactarium, Bambusetum, differente Silviculture and Agroforestry Models and livestock management as part of agroforestry. Additionally, study was undertaken on the forest compostion, distribution of the species, phenology, flora and fauna in the area. Each accompanying faculty has contributed greatly with their capacity and expertise in the field based experiments and practical that has conducted at in the locality adjacent areas. The students had hands-on experience with various forestry instruments and forestry learning in respective subjects that has enhanced their capacity, learning, scopes of forestry and knowledge on forestry. This potential training and educational tour would be useful for their forestry career endeavour. The educational tour was successfully completed and returned back to the college on 21-11-2019 at 08:30 p.m.

The purpose of an educational tour, which was successfully completed with the following objectives:

  • The students have hands-on experience and conducted various experiments on Forestry, Silvicultue and Agroforestry in the field using various forestry instruments, tools and sampling methods, new technology on resin extraction to improve their skills and knowledge on it.
  • It has improved their practical knowledge on forestry and abovementioned topics. Moreover, this educational tour has enhanced their theoretical and practical knowledge, interpersonal skills and improved their skills and knowledge to conduct the field practicals (as part of their course), data collection, observation, analysis and documentation.
  • It has enhanced students’ skills and knowledge on medicinal and aromatic plants, seed collection, storage, handling and processing.
  • They have also advanced their knowledge on agroforestry systems, silviculture systems, arboretum, cactarium and bambusetum, wildlife, forest ecology, forest composition, forest types, phenology agroforesrtry practices, world forestry, scopes and applications of forestry, vegetation analysis, plantation forestry, rangeland, medicinal and aromatic plants.
  • It has improved their capacity and knowledge on various forestry related practicals and subjects. The study was undertaken on the characterisitics of trees/shrubs/grasses for agroforestry
  • This educational tour has enhanced the practical and theoretical knowledge of students, which could be useful for their forestry career and future endeavor.
