An excellent comprehensive book for researchers

This text offers interesting insights into qualitative research. It is written in digestible chunks, dealing with key issues/questions for researchers.

Excellent manual with a very clear introduction on ontology and epistemology and a detailed section on ethics.

Excellent resource for graduate and post graduate students who are interested in qualitative research.

This book will be a thought-provoking volume for students on "becoming a qualitative researcher". It is not so much a "how-to" book that can be dipped into for quick bites, but for those who are happy to sit down with the book and read through it, then it will really help their thinking about what it means to do qualitative research.

This text offers a good insight into the process of research, additionally the author has provided opportunities to stretch and challenge the researchers thought process by enabling them to develop their critical analysis skills. This text also helps the reader develop their knowledge and understanding in relation to the interpretation of data. Students will find this text helpful if conducting qualitative research.

Jennifer Mason is poetic in her coverage of qualitative research. The depth she can take whilst at the same time remaining grounded and realistic is wonderful. A researcher and author who takes readers, who are willing to be taken, into the philosophical, intellectual realms of unknowing in order to uncover with sensitive, thoughtful reflexivity the revelations of qualitative research.

Great book for the early researcher. Gives a common sense approach to qualitative research. An "easy read" in that it is understandable and jargon busting

This is a great book. It is so easy to follow and the level of detail is perfect for all levels. Lots of practical examples that bring the theory to life.
