What is The Process Like?

How does Alexis help you write your best resume? You will have a 30 minute consultation, review up to three drafts (two rounds of changes), and then receive a finalized version of your resume. 

1. Schedule a 30 minute consultation

Choose the best time for you to meet with Alexis and select a time on her calendar. 

2. Email Alexis your resume

Once your consultation is scheduled, email Alexis your resume in order to review it prior to the consultation.

3. Attend consultation

During the 30-minute meeting, Alexis will get a thorough understanding of your job history, your career path, and ask a lot of questions. Please be prepared to convey any specifics you want included, and prepare any questions you may have.

4. Review draft of resume

 Within 1 week of the consultation appointment, Alexis will email you a draft of your new resume. Please respond with any changes you’d like to make. Alexis is happy to complete up to two rounds of changes for your resume. Plan for up to 1 week per round of changes.

5. Receive the final version of your resume

After up to two rounds of changes (three drafts total), Alexis will send you the final version of your resume in both PDF and Word formats.

Resume Now’s resumes are “ATS ready” in terms of formatting, but it’s almost impossible to know which keywords you might miss by selecting your own text.

“It depends on the service and one’s circumstances as to whether it is ‘worth’ paying for the service,” Conklin said. “There are very reputable services out there, especially for more experienced career seekers. It is also key to consider Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), automated review systems that scan resumes as part of an organization’s vetting process. “The format could align or cause issues with an ATS system,” Conklin added. “This is why it’s important to do your research, leverage any connections you have to gain insights into a field and their preferred format and get advice on keywords, skills and experiences to include.”

• Dates employed. Add the approximate timeframe of your employment at each company. You don’t need to give exact dates since the standard format for this is mm/yyyy.

If, on the other hand, you’re applying for, say, a customer service position and some of your past jobs don’t have anything to do with customer service, you should skip them.

You can put your location (city, state, or country) on your resume, but you don’t need to put your entire physical address.

Putting a physical address on a resume was the norm back when companies would contact you via mail. In today’s world, everyone communicates via email, which is why adding a correct and professional email address to your contact information section is far more important than putting your physical address. 

So, just include your location or-–if you’re a remote worker—specify you prefer to work remotely by writing “working remotely from [location].”

As a general rule, you shouldn’t include your birthday or your headshot on your resume. This norm varies from country to country but it applies to the USA, Canada, and UK.

If you have plenty of achievements to list under your work experience, then you can leave your basic work responsibilities out of your resume. 

In your education section, you should only include your highest and most recent degree. So, if you hold a Ph.D., you can list that and your Master’s degree and leave your Bachelor’s degree and high school diploma out.

Finally, leave out any skills that aren’t relevant to the job you’re applying for.

In some cases, like when you have a lot of relevant experience, your resume can go over two pages. But this exception is reserved for senior professionals with over a decade of relevant experience and tons of skills and achievements that simply can’t fit on one page.

This chapter presents history, economic statistics, and federal government directories of Kemerovo Oblast. Kemerovo Oblast, known as the Kuzbass, is situated in southern central Russia. Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakasiya lie to the east, Tomsk Oblast to the north, Novosibirsk Oblast to the west, and Altai Krai and the Republic of Altai to the south-west. Kemerovo was founded in 1918 and became the administrative centre of the Oblast upon its formation on 26 January 1943. The city is at the centre of Russia's principal coal mining area. In 2015 Kemerovo Oblast's gross regional product (GRP) amounted to 842,619m. roubles, equivalent to 309,637 roubles per head. The Oblast's main industrial centres are at Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Prokopyevsk, Kiselyovsk and Leninsk-Kuznetskii. Kemerovo Oblast's agriculture consists mainly of potato and grain production, animal husbandry and beekeeping. The sector employed 3.6% of the workforce and contributed 4.0% of GRP in 2015.
