Apple iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max

iPhone 15 Pro Max render based on leaked information by Hanstsaiz

The main focus of Apple’s September 2023 event will be on the all-new iPhone 15 Series of devices, including the core iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, Pro, and Pro Max — all of which are set to now feature USB-C ports as standard.

The all-new port might have a few tricks up its sleeve however, as a recent leak seems to showcase a mystery chip that could serve as a verification step for Apple's Made for iPhone (MFi) certification. Reportedly, USB-C cables lacking this certification could be limited in charge times and data speed.

However, it could also point to lightning-fast Thunderbolt/USB4 tech inclusion and have something to do with the rumors that iPhone 15 will feature vastly improved 35W charge speeds . Either way, Apple seems to want to claim sole ownership of the best iPhone 15 charging and data speeds.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to make use of Apple’s A16 Bionic chip, the same found in iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. Both devices are also said to feature an upgraded 48MP main camera, Super Retina XDR OLED displays, and up to 512GB of storage.

The two core options differ mostly in screen size and battery capacity with the iPhone 15 featuring a 60Hz, 6.1-inch panel with a 3,877mAh battery and the iPhone 15 Plus housing a 60Hz, 6.7-inch screen and a 4,912mAh battery.

On the other hand, iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to make use of Apple’s A17 Bionic chip , the company’s first 3nm processor. Not only will this bring more performance to Apple’s flagship phones, but also better efficiency, squeezing the most out of the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max’s expanded 3,650mAh and 4,852mAh battery capacities.

While the iPhone 15 Pro Max model will reportedly feature an upgraded telephoto (now periscope) lens (ditching the digital zoom of old for a variable optical zoom), both Pro models will apparently enjoy a new titanium casing with curved edges, up to 1TB of storage, and 120Hz displays at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches in size.

Apple Watch Series 9

Apple Watch Series 8 substituting Apple Watch Series 9

The fact we’ve heard very little about what to expect from the Apple Watch Series 9 might give you an indication of what to expect in terms of its latest refresh.

A recent roadmap laid out by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicates that Apple has been hard at work on two Apple Watch Series 9 models for release this year — likely the 41mm and 45mm aluminum and stainless steel designs of old. When it comes to color options, the aluminum model will reportedly be available in Midnight, Starlight, Silver, (PRODUCT) RED, and Pink. The stainless steel model will be available in three colors: Gold, Graphite, and Silver.

Much of what was the Apple Watch Series 8 will carry over, though Apple has reportedly refreshed the watch’s internals with a more powerful S9 chip . The new chipset will be based on Apple’s A15 Bionic, bringing better performance and battery life to the table just in time to make the most of the upcoming watchOS 10 release.

  • Apple Watch Series 9 rumors

Apple Watch Ultra substituting Apple Watch Ultra 2

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 , a follow-up to the awesome Apple Watch Ultra , is also touted to make an appearance, appearing on the same roadmap as the Apple Watch Series 9 and similarly earmarked for a 2023 release.

Information about what to expect from the second generation of Apple’s smartwatch is scarce, but it’s likely to receive the same processor upgrade as the Apple Watch Series 9 — resulting in the same S9 chipset performance and efficiency boost.

The next big hardware change we’re likely to notice when it comes to the Apple Watch Ultra’s design will be when Apple begins outfitting the smartwatch with its own in-house micro-LED displays . But don’t expect to see that change until at least 2025.

However, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 will feature changes you won’t automatically notice by way of 3D-printed titanium components that cut the cost of manufacturing the device and reduce its weight. Will the reduced production costs translate into more affordable pricing for Apple’s premium wearable? That remains to be seen.

  • Apple Watch Ultra 2 rumors

Apple September 2023 event: What else could we see?

There’s always room for “One more thing…” at an Apple event, and while Apple Park is known to spring more leaks than a TENA commercial, the potential for a surprise reveal still exists. Here are some of our picks for outside chances heading to Apple’s September 2023 event:

Apple iPad Mini (Gen 7)

Apple iPad Mini 6 substituting Apple iPad 7

A recent leak by tipster ShrimpApplePro indicates that at least one iPad could be set to steal some of the keynote spotlight — likely the iPad Mini 7 .

However, while the tipster feels its appearance is a possibility, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman doesn't share the same enthusiasm. In a January issue of his Power On newsletter, Gurman stated that he believes Apple is unlikely to release any significant iPad upgrades this year.

This would also line up with a tweet from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo , who believes that the next iPad mini refresh will begin mass production in Q1 of 2024.

The last iPad Mini launched in September 2021, running on Apple’s A15 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM. While the leak doesn’t go into any further details about what to expect, we can assume Apple would at the very least have an upgrade to the chipset in mind.

Though, before anybody starts dreaming of an M2 iPad Mini, we’d expect an upgrade to the A16 Bionic processor at most.

  • iPad mini 7 rumors

Whether you’re a fan of the smartphones, smartwatches, or software that Apple produces, September’s showcase will have something for everyone — and see Apple sign off on a massively important and successful 2023. Get ready to buy some new cables. Apple is about to announce the iPhone 15 and, with it, a change from Lightning to USB-C. It’s one of the biggest changes to the iPhone in years — and one that’s likely to infuriate as many people in need of new cables as it does excite those who are happy to consolidate around just one.

Alongside the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro, Apple is also expected to introduce new Apple Watches. The Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are expected to be modest updates focused on internal improvements. We’re also expecting a new line of accessories using a more sustainable material and possibly some other gear — like an updated AirPods Pro case — that shifts over to USB-C as well.

The event starts at 1PM ET / 10AM PT, and you’ll be able to follow along with the latest here. We’ve got an embed of Apple’s YouTube stream, and our own team is on the ground reporting live with photos and videos. Apple’s in-person presentation usually runs slightly ahead of the streamed one, so you can follow along below to get the details as they’re happening.

The Series 9 will also have a new feature called "double tap." The feature allows users to answer a call or control any number of actions in an app by tapping their index finger and thumb together, twice.

Apple Events 2024: Apple’s event plans

Karen Haslam

Apple doesn’t participate in big industry-wide events such as CES or E3. The most valuable company in the world holds its own events, thank you very much. Several times a year, Apple invites the press and industry professionals to Apple Park to hear all about its latest products and services. Apple calls these ‘events,’ and streams them live online to millions of watchers.

In 2023 there were three such events: WWDC in June, the Wonderlust iPhone event in September and Apple’s second fall event on October 30 (or October 31 if you weren’t in the U.S.). Similarly, in 2022 Apple held three events: a spring event on March 8, WWDC on June 6, and the iPhone 14 launch on September 7. In other years Apple has held four events though, and in 2024 has already held one event (in May). Will Apple hold four events in 2024?

Read on to find out what events and new Apple product launches the company has in store for 2024.

When is Apple’s next event?

Apple held an event titled ‘Let loose’ on Tuesday May 7 , at 7am PT, but when will the next event be?

Apple will kick off WWDC in June with another keynote event. Apple has already announced WWDC24 will take place from June 10-14 , starting with a keynote on June 10 at 10am PT.

What time will the next Apple event start?

The WWDC keynote will start at 10 am PT. That translates to the following times in the countries where most of our readers live:

  • U.S.: at 10 am (PST/PDT), 11 am (MST/MDT), noon (CST/CDT), 1 pm (EST/EDT)
  • Canada: as above, and 2 pm (AST/ADT)
  • U.K.: at 6 pm (GMT/BST)
  • Europe: at 7pm (CET/CEST), 8 pm (EET/EEST)
  • India: at 10.30 pm (IST)
  • Australia: Next day at 1 am (AWST/AWDT), 2.30 am (ACST/ACDT), 3 am (AEST/AEDT)
  • New Zealand: Next day at 5 am (NZST/NZDT)

How long does an Apple event last?

Apple keynotes usually last between one and two hours and feature CEO Tim Cook along with various other Apple executives. WWDC and the September event tend to be longer keynotes; the spring and late-fall events can be slightly shorter.

When does Apple usually hold events?

Apple holds three or four live or live-streamed events throughout the year where the company unveils its latest products and plans during a keynote address. They are usually held during similar times of the year:

  • March/April: Spring event (in 2024 this was held in May)
  • June: WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference)
  • September: Fall event (aka iPhone and Apple Watch launch event)
  • October/November: Late-fall event(s)

This event calendar is by no means set in stone, though, with the spring and October events being less regular. Some years, Apple doesn’t hold a spring event at all, as was the case in 2023.

The summer and September events are more predictable, with software coming at WWDC in June and iPhones and Apple Watches in September. The October event often sees Apple launch new Macs, but this is another one that changes from year to year.

New Apple Products Apple Event September

What Apple events will take place in 2024?

Here are the events we expect to see in the remainder of 2024, and what could launch.

WWDC: June 10-14 2024

WWDC will take place from June 10-14 with the event kicking the conference off at 10am on June 10, 2024.

Apple uses WWDC each year to unveil the latest versions of its operating systems, so in 2024 we’ll get a preview of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18, and possibly an update to Apple’s realityOS.

The WWDC keynote is where Apple will announce its next major operating system releases: iOS and iPadOS 18 , macOS 15 , tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. Expect to hear a lot about AI this year.

Apple’s Vision Pro headset hasn’t yet launched in locations including the U.K. Europe, Canada and Australia, so Apple could mention a date for the worldwide launch.

Apple sometimes announces new hardware at WWDC, so we could see new Macs: Mac Studio M3 Max and M3 Ultra and Mac Pro with the same chips, although now that the iPad Pro is shipping with M4 chips perhaps Apple will jump to that generation. We may also see a new Mac mini with M3 and M3 Pro – or that may wait for the M4.

Following the keynote on the Monday, developer events and sessions will run throughout the week.

Dates for WWDC:

  • WWDC 2024: June 10-14
  • WWDC 2023: June 5-9
  • WWDC 2022: June 6-10
  • WWDC 2021: June 7-11
  • WWDC 2020: June 22-26
  • WWDC 2019: June 3-7
  • WWDC 2018: June 4-8
  • WWDC 2017: June 5-9

You can read more about WWDC date, times and everything you need to know in a separate article.

iPhone 16 launch event: September 2024

Apple always holds an event in September, and almost always uses this to announce a new iPhone and Apple Watch. (The only exception in recent memory was in 2020, as a result of Covid-related production issues. That year the iPhone was announced in October, but there was still a September event.)

What else could we see? A new iPad mini and iPad Air . The AirPods could get an update (or two) and we might even see a HomePod with a screen .

Here are the past few Apple September event dates:

  • 2023: Tuesday, September 12
  • 2022: Tuesday, September 13
  • 2022: Wednesday, September 7
  • 2021: Tuesday, September 14
  • 2020: Tuesday, September 15
  • 2019: Tuesday, September 10
  • 2018: Wednesday, September 12
  • 2017: Tuesday, September 12

For more information about Apple’s September events read: Apple’s September iPhone event: Date, time, and what will launch.

October 2024 Event

There could be iPad and Mac events in October and/or November 2024. But this is a long way off so we won’t get into too much detail just yet.

In the past, Apple has held a second fall event on the following dates:

  • 2023: Monday, October 30
  • 2022: No event
  • 2021: Monday, October 18
  • 2020: Tuesday, October 13 and Tuesday, November 10
  • 2019: No event
  • 2018: Tuesday, October 30
  • 2017: No event
  • 2016: Thursday, October 27
  • 2015: No event
  • 2014: Thursday, October 16
  • 2013: Tuesday, October 22
  • 2012: Tuesday, October 23
  • 2011: Tuesday, October 4

We expect Apple to launch new iPads and Macs in the late fall/autumn.

For more information about Apple’s October events read: Apple’s October Event: Date, time and what will launch.

Spring event 2025

Here are the dates of the past seven Apple spring events.

  • 2024: Tuesday May 7
  • 2023: No event
  • 2022: Tuesday March 8
  • 2021: Tuesday April 20
  • 2020: No event
  • 2019: Monday March 25
  • 2018: Tuesday March 27

Apple confirms WWDC 2024 keynote timing, but offers no more AI hints

Malcolm Owen's Avatar

Apple's 2024 WWDC is June 10

apple presentation 2023 time

Apple has previously announced WWDC will be held from June 10 , and has already strongly hinted that it will be an AI-centric event . Weeks away from the event itself, Apple has outlined the schedule for the event.

According to a Tuesday announcement, the keynote will happen at 10 a.m. PDT on June 10, which will detail the "groundbreaking updates" arriving on Apple's platforms. The address will be streamable via the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, Apple.com, and YouTube.

The Platforms State of the Union will happen a few hours later at 1 p.m. PDT. It will take a deeper dive into the changes in iOS , iPadOS , macOS , tvOS , visionOS , and watchOS .

Apple Developer Program members and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members will be able to take part in online labs throughout the event, and in live forums.

There will be over 100 technical sessions across the week, covering new technologies and frameworks.

Despite the new information on scheduling, Apple doesn't offer any new hints about content in the announcement. Then again, it's probably already said enough.

Operating Systems and Software

Apple's chief announcements will be its operating system updates, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and the next edition of macOS . With the release of the Apple Vision Pro, WWDC can also show off Apple's first major feature updates for visionOS.

The updates to iOS 18 will arguably be the main focus for users and developers alike. Following on from iOS 17 , iOS 18 is rumored to include a big redesign of various UI elements, though it's unlikely that the Apple Vision Pro and visionOS will influence design alterations.

AI will apparently be a big element for WWDC 2024

Ai improvements to Siri and iOS in general is expected to be a big feature, with the iPhone maker continuing to invest resources into developing generative AI. Aside from expected Siri improvements, the AI changes can also feed into other apps, such as providing automated summarizing functions.

This is far beyond consumer usage, too, as Apple has been rumored to be including changes to its development tools. Test versions of a future Xcode release apparently include AI tools , such as the automated prediction and completion of blocks of code, and automated code generation for testing applications.

While few elements of what Apple will include aside from AI enhancements are reliably rumored, it does seem that Apple will be trying hard to minimize any initial beta bugs.

In November, development of new features for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15 had been put on pause in favor of a week of bug stomping . The releases may be more crucial to Apple than usual, due to a general need to catch up with others in the generative AI space.

New devices almost always play second fiddle to software at WWDC. Following the iPad Pro release with M4 in May, it's not clear at all if the Mac will get an upgrade.

The MacBook Pro and iMac were last updated with M3 in October 2023, with the M3 Air arriving in early 2024. That leaves the Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and Mac mini.

Recent rumors suggest that the pro-level hardware won't see an update until M4 Max and Ultra are released. The current timing on those is the fall, at the earliest, with 2025 perhaps being more likely .

The most likely candidate for a M4 update is the Mac mini. Rumors for that still suggest the fall as well .

Also long-rumored but still absent are USB-C versions of the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and AirPods Max. Timing is unclear on the release of those, though, and they don't seem like keynote-worthy products.

I think all hints are disclosed. There are no additional hints anymore.

Massiveattack87 said: I think all hints are disclosed. There are no additional hints anymore.  What are you hinting at? This sounds a lot like something an AI bot would say when asked to give a hint.

Look at how long Apple has been ignoring Siri shortcomings.  Apple is so device centric.  There is such emphasis on physical design and appearance.  Frequently at the expense of performance or software functionality.  WWDC unfortunately will show just how far behind Apple trust is from an AI capability perspective.  Revenue comes first at Apple.  Driven by hardware and superficial design.  Software comes second.  Marketing drives and controls Apple.  Fiercely limiting and controlling hardware specs as a way to maximize revenue vs. giving the customer a superior experience at a competitive price/performance ratio.  Hardware capabilities have reached an apex for the majority of Apple’s retail customers.  Software will need to drive Apple sales.  I just wish Apple was as good at software engineering as they are at hardware engineering.  Time will tell.

Yeah, Siri is very limiting. I am more and more using ChatGPT to answer my questions now, which gives very excellent answers.

slow n easy said: Yeah, Siri is very limiting. I am more and more using ChatGPT to answer my questions now, which gives very excellent answers. It’s the opposite for me. I asked ChatGPT to open my living room shades but it couldn’t help. When I asked it to play some old songs from an artist I liked it provided me a list of songs. I actually wanted to listen, though, and it was no go. Another time I asked it for driving directions and it offered to list them. I asked for real time directions and it told me to use Apple Maps or Google Maps.  Do think Siri could improve? Yes. Does Siri currently do the things I ask of it the most? Yes. Can ChatGPT do things that Siri can’t? Yes. Can Siri do things that ChatGPT can’t? Yes.

Apple's WWDC 2024 Invite Is Out. The Wait for iOS 18 and AI Is Almost Over

A pple on Tuesday morning sent out invites for its upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference  keynote, which is set for 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) on Monday, June 10. The invite shows the Apple logo and "WWDC24" in the center of multiple colorful circles.

The iPhone-maker hasn't shared much about what to expect from this year's event, but with the growing focus on AI throughout the tech industry, it's likely we'll see a preview of iOS 18 that incorporates new AI capabilities. A Sunday report from Bloomberg suggests Apple could bring AI into photo editing, messages, emoji and email. It could also add voice memo transcriptions, faster search and a more conversational Siri.

We also expect to get updates for the company's other operating systems, including MacOS, iPadOS and VisionOS.

Earlier this month, Apple unveiled a lineup of new iPad Airs and Pros , with the Pros sporting the more powerful and efficient  M4 chip . Apple said the chips also feature improved machine learning for AI-based tasks. If past WWDC keynotes are any indication, it's possible the company will spend a decent chunk of this year's keynote touting its in-house chips -- and all their AI capabilities.

Read more:   It's Rumored That iOS 18 Will Change Your iPhone in Big Ways. Here's How

Apple earlier this month also unveiled some accessibility updates coming to the  iPhone , iPad,  Vision Pro  and CarPlay later this year, like Eye Tracking, Vocal Shortcuts and Live Captions in VisionOS. It's possible the company could share more about the timing of that rollout during WWDC.

Apple sent both online and in-person WWDC invites on Tuesday, with the event once again taking place at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. If you weren't lucky in enough to score an invite, you'll be able to watch a livestream. And, as always, CNET's experts will be on the ground sharing all the updates.

17 Hidden iOS 17 Features You Should Definitely Know About

Apple's WWDC 2024 Invite Is Out. The Wait for iOS 18 and AI Is Almost Over

Apple's WWDC will be its most anticipated event in a decade. Here's what investors want to see.

  • Apple's WWDC will begin June 10, and fans are hungry for any news on its generative AI plans.
  • Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI have all given impressive AI demonstrations in recent weeks.
  • Analysts weighed in on what else Apple will have to do at WWDC to satisfy investors.

Insider Today

Apple has some ground to make up at its much-awaited annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

Big tech names like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google have all hosted events over the last three weeks where artificial intelligence was the main topic of discussion, as well as attention-grabbing new advances in their technologies. Not only that: they've been showcasing their products for quite some time — OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot was launched in November 2022, for example.

That's made Apple's lack of a big generative AI announcement so far particularly noticeable. In fact, analysts told Business Insider that the tech giant will have to talk about AI at WWDC if they want to keep investors happy.

WWDC, which Wedbush Securities managing director Dan Ives called Apple's "most anticipated event in a decade," kicks off on June 10 and lasts four days at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. At the 2023 WWDC, the big reveal was the Apple Vision Pro headset.

The conference comes hot on the heels of Apple's "Let Loose" event on May 7, where the company introduced new iterations of the iPad Pro, iPad Air, and compatible accessories — but didn't go into its AI plans. However, one big sign an announcement may be coming at WWDC was the unveiling of its M4 chip, which Apple described as an "outrageously powerful chip for AI."

Related stories

Tim Cook was also vague about AI strategy during Apple's earnings call on May 2. The CEO spoke of "big opportunities across our products" for generative AI and promised that Apple is "well positioned" to take on the space. That's all left investors hungry for more details.

"We think investors will take any generative AI announcement positively," Morningstar tech analyst William Kerwin said. Morningstar has a two-star rating on the stock, with a fair value estimate of $170.

One option for Apple could be teaming up with another company. Gene Munster, managing partner at Deepwater Asset Management, told BI that Apple is "so far behind" that he's expecting a partnership with OpenAI to bridge the gap between it and the competition. Bloomberg reported last month that the two firms have been discussing a possible business alliance that could bring OpenAI's technology to iPhones. Apple is also in talks with Google about licensing its Gemini chatbot, Bloomberg said.

Munster also told BI that he expects big upgrades to Siri to bring about a more helpful and conversational voice assistant through the power of AI.

Although Apple may be late to announce its plans, analysts said it still has firepower in the AI arms race — if it does announce anything.

"Apple doesn't have to be first, but it can't be on the outside looking in when it comes to AI," Ives, who has an "outperform" rating on the stock with a $275 price target, told BI.

Its current lineup of products may help get consumers using Apple's offering instead of competitors', Deepwater's Munster said. He identified Apple's "seamless" continuity between devices and privacy as assets for the company in the battle to be the top player in AI .

"Apple's primary advantage is its massive installed base of devices and sticky, dedicated users," Kerwin at Morningstar told BI. We'd expect any new-gen AI announcement to see strong adoption when released."

Eusebio Di Francesco broke down after his Frosinone side were relegated on the final day

Serie A came to a close this past weekend, with Inter reclaiming the title they last won back in 2021 under Antonio Conte. Now, with Simone Inzaghi at the helm, the Nerazzurri finished 19 points ahead of second-placed AC Milan, with Juventus, Bologna and Atalanta rounding out the top four spots.

Who was relegated from Serie A in 2023/24?

At the other end of the table there was a similarly large gulf, with rock bottom Salernitana managing just two wins in the entire campaign and ultimately finishing another 19 points away from safety.

Above them were Sassuolo, a club who played in Europe as recently as 2016 and who had appeared to establish themselves as a top-half of the table side. Since losing Coach Roberto De Zerbi – who steered them to 8th place in 2021 – however, the Nerazzurri had struggled, dropping down the standings over the following few seasons.

Indeed, the club would finish 11th in the following campaign and 13th last term and now slumping all the way to 19th place this season under three different coaches. Last week saw Claudio Ranieri secure Cagliari’s safety in Serie A, meaning on the final day it would be a battle between Frosinone and Empoli for who would survive the drop.

Late drama would see Empoli – who went into the last round of action two points behind their relegation rivals – snatch a winner against AS Roma, meaning the Tuscan minnows would stay up after Frosinone lost to Udinese.

Trump Trial Prosecutor Ends Closing Argument After Nearly 5 Hours Jury Instructions Set For Wednesday

Gas explosion in downtown youngstown, ohio injures at least 7, take advantage of the best memorial day laptop sales still live, what parachute payments will serie a’s relegated sides receive.

As Salernitana, Sassuolo and Empoli look to plot for the future, their chances of success in Serie B will be boosted by the parachute payments they receive over the next 12 months.

This money is a financial contribution aimed at cushioning the blow of relegation, as the club’s going down lose a substantial amount of income from TV rights etc and will have far higher wages than most second division sides.

In Italian football, the previous success of a relegated club is taken into account, with three different levels of payments made depending on how they have fared. According to the Calcio Finanza website, the categories are as follows;

  • Each club in Tier A receives €10 million ($10.76 million)
  • Each Tier B club receives €15 million ($16.29 million)
  • Each Tier C club receives €25 million ($27.15 million)

How are the relegated clubs categorised?

A Tier A club is one that has played just one season in Serie A in the last three years, while a Tier B club is one which has played two of the last three campaigns in the top flight.

In order to qualify for Tier C, a club must have played three of the previous four seasons in Serie A and, just like Tier B, those campaigns do not need to have been consecutive ones.

Serie A Parachute Payments: The figures for each club

The final criteria is that the league commits to a limit of €60 million ($65.17 million) per year for these payments, reducing the percentage of the total paid to each club accordingly if it is higher than that sum.

If it is lower, then the figure rolls over to the following season, but this year Calcio Finanza say the total worked out to be exactly that amount, broken down as follows;

  • Frosinone – €10 million ($10.76 million) after playing just one season in Serie A over the last four years.
  • Sassuolo – €25 million ($27.15 million) after being in Serie A since 2013/14
  • Salernitana – €25 million ($27.15 million) after playing three of the last four seasons in Serie A

How do those figures compare to the Premier Premier League?

Clubs relegated in England receive even greater sums, with the Premier League handing over a series of solidarity payments for up to three years after a club is relegated to the Championship.

According to the BBC, these sums have been worth about £30 million ($38.32 million) per year to clubs, reflecting the far superior financial footing found in English football compared to Italy.

Apple Watch tips and tricks: Display

1. return to clock.

If you have an app that you would like to display as soon as you hold your wrist up, it doesn't always have to show you your clock. Regardless of if you have an always-on display or not, you can change the app on screen by clicking Settings > General > Return to Clock

From here, scroll down to the section On Screen Raise Show Last . Choices include While in Sessions, Within 2 Minutes of Last Use, Within 1 Hour of Last Use, and Always.

Apple Watch Tips and Tricks

2. Make the on-screen text larger

If you'd prefer larger text on your relatively tiny device, Apple has made the accessibility setting. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness , and adjust to your liking.

You can also choose a specialty Big Text watch face if all you're interested in is seeing the time in large numerals.

3. Mute alerts with your palm

If you have sound enabled on the Watch, you can keep it from annoying the outside world with notification sounds.

If it goes off in a place you'd rather it didn't, you can cover the display with your hand for three seconds or more to instantly mute any new sounds. To enable the setting, you'll need to visit the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then go to My Watch > Gestures > Cover to Mute .

4. Hide watch apps

If you don't want all third-party apps to be visible on your Apple Watch, go into the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and make sure you're in the My Watch section. Scroll down to the section called Installed on Apple Watch . Tap the apps you want to delete and toggle them to the off position. Even though you've removed their Watch interfaces, these apps will remain installed on your iPhone unless you delete them from that device too.

Instructions for how to remove third-party apps from your Apple Watch.

5. Find your iPhone with your Watch

Can't find your iPhone? Fortunately, the Apple Watch can help you track it down. On your Apple Watch, tap the side button. From here, tap the Ping iPhone button in blue to have it make a noise so you can discover it easily. It's even easier to find your iPhone with Apple Watch in watchOS 10.

Instructions for how to 'ping' your iPhone from your Apple Watch.

6. Quickly access Zoom and VoiceOver

If Zoom or VoiceOver are essential features on your iPhone, you can easily make them available on your Apple Watch. Turn on the triple-click Accessibility shortcut to automatically activate either Zoom mode or VoiceOver. To do so, go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap My Watch > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut . From here, you can choose which you'd like to activate on triple-click automatically.

Siri can also turn VoiceOver on or off with a verbal command — ask your Watch.

Instructions for Apple Watch's accessibility/voice over options.

7. Take a screenshot

Want to take a screenshot of your Activity achievement or simply a fun drawing you've concocted on Digital Touch? Simply take a screenshot by quickly and simultaneously pressing both the side button and Digital Crown.

8. Force Apple Watch to restart

If your Watch is misbehaving, you can turn it off by pressing and holding the side button until you see the emergency commands. Tap the power button in the right hand corner then slide the Power Off toggle. For a Watch that's entirely frozen, perform a force reboot by holding both the side button and Digital Crown for at least ten seconds until you see the Apple logo.

Apple Watch tips and tricks: Timekeeping

9. save custom watch faces.

Not only can you customize Apple's default Watch faces by using Force Touch on the Watch display, but you can also save customized faces for future use. If that's your intention, Force Touch on the Watch display once more, then swipe all the way to the left and tap the New button . You can now customise the new version of your watch face just how you like it.

To delete a custom watch face, swipe up.

Instructions for how to choose a different watch face from your Apple Watch.

10. Set your watch five minutes fast

If you're a fan of being early for all your appointments and meetings, you can make that possible with your Apple Watch. Like being early for your appointments? Manually set the watch face to display five minutes fast (or more) and it won't even affect your alarms, notifications, or clocks from other countries. It just shows on your Watch face. To do this, go to Settings > Clock > +0 min , then turn the Digital crown to advance the time ahead up to 59 minutes.

11. Turn off snooze for your alarms

If you don't trust yourself to wake up on time, you can disable the snooze button to force you to get up. Go into the Alarm app on the device and tap on the alarm time you'd like to change. Toggle the snooze option so you have no choice but to get moving.

Apple watch tips and tricks: Communication

12. pre-compose custom messages responses.

It's not possible to directly type on most Apple Watches, but you can set up a few pre-composed responses via your iPhone that you can tap on during conversations to auto-send. To do so, head to the Apple Watch app, then go to My Watch > Messages > Default Replies . You can change the list and add/remove pre-composed responses at any time.

Instructions for how to find default replies for your Apple Watch via the Watch app.

13. Share your location in Messages with Force Touch

Want to send your friend your current location while you're out and about? From your Messages conversation, tap the App Store button and tap the green Share Location button to share your location or request it from the other person in the chat.

14. Hold a call until you can find your iPhone

While taking phone calls on the Apple Watch is pretty futuristic-feeling, it's not always practical. If you get a call on your Watch that you want to pick up, but your phone's not in easy reach, and you don't want to start it on your Watch, you can tap Answer on iPhone to place the call on hold until you can find your device. On the other end, the person will hear a repeated sound until you can get to your iPhone.

15. Turn on Walkie-Talkie

The Walkie-Talkie feature lets you talk to others with Apple Watches but you'll need to activate it. Go to the Walkie-Talkie app on your Watch and toggle Available to on. Otherwise, people won't be able to reach you using the tool.

Apple watch tips and tricks: Productivity

16. clear all your notifications with force touch.

It's possible to swipe left to delete an individual notification from the Notifications screen, but what's simpler is to get rid of all your notification alerts in one tap. First, swipe down from the display to access Notifications, then Force Touch the display to bring up the Clear All option.

17. Flag Mail messages with Force Touch

There's no way to compose a new email on the Watch owing to its relative impracticability as an email machine. If you're planning ahead though, you can flag messages you want to reply to later with ease. Swipe to the right to bring up the flag then tap it to make sure you're reminded to read it 'properly' on the big screen later.

18. Choose what mailboxes show up on your Watch

If you don't want to be inundated with notifications and info from all your mailboxes, you can make adjustments. Choose specific mailboxes to show up on the Watch from the iPhone app. Just go to My Watch > Mail > Include Mail .

included mail

19. Switch between Day and List views in Calendar

Want to see what your day looks like — but also view items in a list? You can switch between Day and List views in the Calendar by using a Force Touch gesture on the screen while in the app.

20. Build your leaving time into your Calendar alerts

If a location has been added to your calendar event, you can get an alert that tells you when to leave based on driving or walking distance, tied into expected traffic. To do so, make sure the individual event has the Travel Time switch enabled. This is done on your iPhone by going to the Calendar app, then tapping the event in question, and going to Edit > Travel Time .

21. Set up gestures

If you can't easily access your Apple Watch because it's under your coat or your arms are busy and hands full, set up a gesture. Go to the Watch app on your iPhone, then tap My Watch > Gestures and toggle Double Tap on. Tapping Double Tap allows you to pick what actions are performed on your Watch when tapping your index finger and thumb together.

Apple watch tips and tricks: Apps

22. use the taptic engine when you're getting directions.

Your Apple Watch offers various beeps, buzzes, and movements to get your attention, but it doesn't stop with notifications. You can also use the Taptic Engine to help navigate you around a city. When getting directions via the Watch, you'll feel a series of taps when you need to make a turn.

For a left turn, you'll get a series of two taps, played three times: tap-tap — tap-tap — tap-tap .

For a right turn, you'll get a steady beat of 12 taps: tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap .

You'll also get a long vibration when you're on the last leg of your journey and when you arrive at your destination.

23. Stop directions with Force Touch

Want your Watch to stop navigating? Use a Force Touch gesture at any point on the Maps app to stop receiving directions.

24. Review your iPhone photos from your watch

The Camera app on your Watch allows you to use it as a remote display and shutter for photos. You can also use it to quickly review any recent shots to check they're up to scratch. It's perfect for checking you got the ideal group shot before sending everyone on their way and grabbing your iPhone.

25. Set a default city for your weather

It's possible to use the Weather app on your Watch to check a number of cities, including your current location. If you need to change the default location, go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap My Watch > Weather > Default City .

Apple watch tips and tricks: Activity

26. close your rings.

The Exercise app and exercise rings system is a great motivator when going about your day. To find out more about how you're doing and what you may need to work on, don't forget to tap the Exercise app once in a while throughout the day to see what to focus on next.

27. How's your ECG?

Since the fourth-generation Apple Watch, you can now check your ECG from your wearable device . To do so, tap on the ECG app on your watch, then hold your finger on the digital crown to see what your heart rate is.

28. Concentrate

The Mindfulness app is a great way to give you a moment's calm and encourage you to relax for a moment. Pick a short exercise to take a moment to rest and relax.

29. Send your favorite watch face

Since watchOS 7, it's been possible to share watch faces with friends. If you want to, Force Touch on the Watch display, then select the face you wish to share. Tap the New Message icon to send your face and show off your creation.

Instructions for how to share a watch face on Apple Watch.

30. Change your strap

Apple makes it very simple to remove and install new straps on your Watch. To do so, hold down one of the two band release buttons on the back of the Watch. From there, slide the band across to remove it, then slide the new bands in with ease. The method works for all types of Apple Watch so you'll soon master how to do it within moments.

31. Pairing problems

If you're looking to unpair your Apple Watch , you simply have to open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to 'My Watch', hit 'info', and click unpair. If you have come across a problem you can't fix, this is a great way of solving it.

Once you have unpaired your Apple Watch, you are going to want to pair your Apple Watch again. To do that, pop the Apple Watch on your wrist, hold it close to your iPhone, and let your iPhone pick it up. From here, you should be able to link to your Apple ID, make a passcode, and customize it.

Steton bennett’s mysterious rams absence last season due to his mental health.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett says he stepped away from football last year to address his mental health.

Bennett said Tuesday that he feels recharged and ready to play again.

The two-time national champion at the University of Georgia is participating in the Rams’ organized team activities during the offseason.

Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett says he stepped a way from football last year due to his mental health.

After winning his second national title with the Bulldogs in January 2023, Bennett was a fourth-round pick by the Rams.

He participated in Los Angeles’ team activities and played extensively in the preseason while competing to be Matthew Stafford’s backup under coach Sean McVay.

But Bennett left the Rams before the regular season began, and he didn’t return to the team in 2023.

“I was home,” Bennett said. “As far as what led to that, what transpired and all that, I think we’re going to keep that in-house. But it was good. I went back home, and thank goodness (general manager) Les (Snead) and Coach McVay allowed me to do that.”

When asked if the reasons for his absence had to do with his mental health, Bennett replied: “Yeah, I’d say that.”

Stetson Bennett (right) and Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stafford run drills during the team's OTAs on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Bennett said he spoke to the Rams’ coaching staff periodically during his absence, and he always intended to play football again.

“A lot of nerves the first day” of the offseason program,” Bennett said of his return to the Rams earlier this spring. “It’s gone — I wouldn’t say seamlessly, but it has gotten better each day, just like you try to make it.”

The Rams gave their backup job to Brett Rypien last season, but he struggled through 1 1/2 games while Stafford was injured. Los Angeles then signed Carson Wentz, who only played significant snaps in the Rams’ regular-season finale while Stafford rested for the playoffs.

The Rams have signed longtime NFL starter Jimmy Garoppolo to back up Stafford this year, but Bennett is participating in drills with the rest of the roster in hopes of earning a role.

“It’s been great to get back to football,” Bennett said. “It’s what I love.”

Garoppolo will be suspended for the first two games of the season for what he said was a mistake in applying for a therapeutic use exemption for an unnamed substance.

Copilot plus PC main art

An on-demand recording of our May 20 event is available .

Today, at a special event on our new Microsoft campus, we introduced the world to a new category of Windows PCs designed for AI, Copilot+ PCs.

Copilot+ PCs are the fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built. With powerful new silicon capable of an incredible 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), all – day battery life and access to the most advanced AI models, Copilot+ PCs will enable you to do things you can’t on any other PC. Easily find and remember what you have seen in your PC with Recall, generate and refine AI images in near real-time directly on the device using Cocreator, and bridge language barriers with Live Captions, translating audio from 40+ languages into English .

These experiences come to life on a set of thin, light and beautiful devices from Microsoft Surface and our OEM partners Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung, with pre-orders beginning today and availability starting on June 18. Starting at $999, Copilot+ PCs offer incredible value.

This first wave of Copilot+ PCs is just the beginning. Over the past year, we have seen an incredible pace of innovation of AI in the cloud with Copilot allowing us to do things that we never dreamed possible. Now, we begin a new chapter with AI innovation on the device. We have completely reimagined the entirety of the PC – from silicon to the operating system, the application layer to the cloud – with AI at the center, marking the most significant change to the Windows platform in decades.

YouTube Video

The fastest, most secure Windows PCs ever built

We introduced an all-new system architecture to bring the power of the CPU, GPU, and now a new high performance Neural Processing Unit (NPU) together. Connected to and enhanced by the large language models (LLMs) running in our Azure Cloud in concert with small language models (SLMs), Copilot+ PCs can now achieve a level of performance never seen before. They are up to 20x more powerful [1] and up to 100x as efficient [2] for running AI workloads and deliver industry-leading AI acceleration. They outperform Apple’s MacBook Air 15” by up to 58% in sustained multithreaded performance [3] , all while delivering all-day battery life.  With incredible efficiency, Copilot+ PCs can deliver up to 22 hours of local video playback or 15 hours of web browsing on a single charge. [4] That is up to 20% more battery in local video playback than the MacBook Air 15”. [5]

Windows now has the best implementation of apps on the fastest chip, starting with Qualcomm. We now offer more native Arm64 experiences than ever before, including our fastest implementation of Microsoft 365 apps like Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive and OneNote. Chrome, Spotify, Zoom, WhatsApp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Blender, Affinity Suite, DaVinci Resolve and many more now run natively on Arm to give you great performance with additional apps, like Slack, releasing later this year. In fact, 87% of the total app minutes people spend in apps today have native Arm versions. [6] With a powerful new emulator, Prism, your apps run great, whether native or emulated.

Every Copilot+ PC comes secured out of the box. The Microsoft Pluton Security processor will be enabled by default on all Copilot+ PCs and we have introduced a number of new features, updates and defaults to Windows 11 that make it easy for users to stay secure. And, we’ve built in personalized privacy controls to help you protect what’s important to you. You can read more about how we are making Windows more secure here .

Entirely new, powerful AI experiences

Copilot+ PCs leverage powerful processors and multiple state-of-the-art AI models, including several of Microsoft’s world-class SLMs, to unlock a new set of experiences you can run locally, directly on the device. This removes previous limitations on things like latency, cost and even privacy to help you be more productive, creative and communicate more effectively.

Recall instantly

We set out to solve one of the most frustrating problems we encounter daily – finding something we know we have seen before on our PC. Today, we must remember what file folder it was stored in, what website it was on, or scroll through hundreds of emails trying to find it.

Now with Recall, you can access virtually what you have seen or done on your PC in a way that feels like having photographic memory. Copilot+ PCs organize information like we do – based on relationships and associations unique to each of our individual experiences. This helps you remember things you may have forgotten so you can find what you’re looking for quickly and intuitively by simply using the cues you remember. [7]

You can scroll across time to find the content you need in your timeline across any application, website, document, or more. Interact intuitively using snapshots with screenray to help you take the next step using suggested actions based on object recognition. And get back to where you were, whether to a specific email in Outlook or the right chat in Teams.

Recall leverages your personal semantic index, built and stored entirely on your device. Your snapshots are yours; they stay locally on your PC. You can delete individual snapshots, adjust and delete ranges of time in Settings, or pause at any point right from the icon in the System Tray on your Taskbar. You can also filter apps and websites from ever being saved. You are always in control with privacy you can trust.

Cocreate with AI-powered image creation and editing, built into Windows

Since the launch of Image Creator, almost 10 billion images have been generated, helping more people bring their ideas to life easily by using natural language to describe what they want to create. Yet, today’s cloud offerings may limit the number of images you can create, keep you waiting while the artwork processes or even present privacy concerns. By using the Neural Processing Units (NPUs) and powerful local small language models, we are bringing innovative new experiences to your favorite creative applications like Paint and Photos.

Combine your ink strokes with text prompts to generate new images in nearly real time with Cocreator. As you iterate, so does the artwork, helping you more easily refine, edit and evolve your ideas. Powerful diffusion-based algorithms optimize for the highest quality output over minimum steps to make it feel like you are creating alongside AI. Use the creativity slider to choose from a range of artwork from more literal to more expressive. Once you select your artwork, you can continue iterating on top of it, helping you express your ideas, regardless of your creative skills.

Restyle image

Take photo editing and image creation to the next level. With Restyle Image, you can reimagine your personal photos with a new style combining image generation and photo editing in Photos. Use a pre-set style like Cyberpunk or Claymation to change the background, foreground or full picture to create an entirely new image. Or jumpstart your next creative project and get visual inspiration with Image Creator in Photos. On Copilot+ PCs you can generate endless images for free, fast, with the ability to fine tune images to your liking and to save your favorites to collections.

Innovative AI experiences from the creative apps you love

We are also partnering with some of the biggest and most-loved applications on the planet to leverage the power of the NPU to deliver new innovative AI experiences.

Together with Adobe, we are thrilled to announce Adobe’s flagship apps are coming to Copilot+ PCs, including Photoshop, Lightroom and Express – available today. Illustrator, Premiere Pro and more are coming this summer. And we’re continuing to partner to optimize AI in these apps for the NPU. For Adobe Creative Cloud customers, they will benefit from the full performance advantages of Copilot+ PCs to express their creativity faster than ever before.

Connect and communicate effortlessly with live captions

In an increasingly connected and global world, Windows wants to bring people closer together. Whether catching up on your favorite podcast from a different country, or watching your favorite international sports team, or even collaborating with friends and colleagues across the world, we want to make more content accessible to more people.

Live Captions now has live translations and will turn any audio that passes through your PC into a single, English-language caption experience, in real time on your screen across all your apps consistently. You can translate any live or pre-recorded audio in any app or video platform from over 40 languages into English subtitles instantly, automatically and even while you’re offline. Powered by the NPU and available across all Copilot+ PCs, now you can have confidence your words are understood as intended.

New and enhanced Windows Studio Effects

Look and sound your best automatically with easily accessible controls at your fingertips in Quick Settings. Portrait light automatically adjusts the image to improve your perceived illumination in a dark environment or brighten the foreground pixels when in a low-light environment. Three new creative filters (illustrated, animated or watercolor) add an artistic flare. Eye contact teleprompter helps you maintain eye contact while reading your screen. New improvements to voice focus and portrait blur help ensure you’re always in focus.

The first Copilot+ PCs will launch with both the Snapdragon® X Elite and Snapdragon® X Plus processors and feature leading performance per watt thanks to the custom Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU, which delivers unrivaled performance and battery efficiency. Snapdragon X Series delivers 45 NPU TOPS all-in-one system on a chip (SoC). The premium integrated Qualcomm® Adreno ™ GPU delivers stunning graphics for immersive entertainment. We look forward to expanding through deep partnerships with Intel and AMD, starting with Lunar Lake and Strix Point. We will bring new Copilot+ PC experiences at a later date. In the future we expect to see devices with this silicon paired with powerful graphics cards like NVIDIA GeForce RTX and AMD Radeon™, bringing Copilot+ PC experiences to reach even broader audiences like advanced gamers and creators.

We are at an inflection point where the PC will accelerate AI innovation. We believe the richest AI experiences will only be possible when the cloud and device work together in concert. Together with our partners, we’re setting the frame for the next decade of Windows innovation.
