What do kids learn in third grade.
Children moving into third grade will mature in school and use the tools they have gathered from second grade to dig deeply into important curricular areas with deeper thinking and expression, deeper understanding of concepts, deeper reading. To advance as readers, students will work on responding to and finding connections between texts; expanding vocabulary and use of context clues and pronunciation; and developing and sharing opinions about their reading. Their writing will progress by extending writing time and research; using the writing process and choosing audience; further developing types of writing and their organizational structure; and utilizing more detail in content and sentence construction. Math becomes more complicated in making and using graphs; fractions; rounding; measuring; working with four-sided figures; more complex word problems; and understanding the multiplication and division relationship while learning products. To support and advance the classroom learning objectives, this outstanding top teacher resource will provide literally hundreds of entertaining and absorbing pages filled with games, learning centers, monthly topics, graphic organizers, and much more. You can be assured that the materials in this comprehensive collection are aligned with the current educational standards. By using this top resource, you can confidently send your students on to the next level!

Andrew Keegan Gives Rare Update on Daughter Aiya, 8, Jokes He 'Capped Out' with 3rd Grade Homework Help
Keegan said at 90s Con on Saturday, Sept. 14, that he has "such an appreciation for teachers in general"

Andrew Keegan has major respect for teachers, especially as a dad.
The actor gave a rare comment about his only child, daughter Aiya Rose, during a Sabrina the Teenage Witch panel at 90s Con in Daytona Beach, Fla., revealing her schoolwork is now a little beyond what he is able to help her with.
"I have an 8-year-old daughter who’s in 3rd grade," said Keegan, 45. "We’re doing homework and I’m about capped out. I’m doing reading comprehension the other day, the math ... "
"The teacher she has now is great," he continued during the panel, held on Saturday, Sept. 14. "So I’m reliving it now, really having such an appreciation for teachers in general."

Keegan regularly shares photos to social media of his daughter, whom he welcomed in 2016 with Arista Ilona after a 77-hour labor .
“We started at home and then we went to the hospital," Keegan told PEOPLE after Aiya's birth. "There’s nothing sane about 77 hours like that. It’s just staying supportive throughout, and there was a lot of circling around."
"It’s a very animalistic thing that happens so you just have to drop into your more natural state," the 10 Things I Hate About You actor continued. "Just be supportive and let her go through what she needs to go through.”
But in a moment it’s all forgotten with one glance. “It’s worth it when you see her giggling and smiling at us,” Keegan said of their daughter. “You don’t even think about it.”

Keegan sent out a Father's Day message to his fellow dads on Instagram in June, in a post that included photos of himself and Aiya at the beach, on a boat and more.
"Happy Father’s Day to all the dads!" the Camp Nowhere star wrote. "Such a great week/weekend, Aiya finished 2nd grade and we had a couple great beach days with friends and fam!"
"Surfing, volleyball and some boating with my daughter is a pleasure beyond words! Love my lil A," Keegan concluded.
