What Should a Good Homework Spreadsheet Have?
In general, you’ll want a few fields that will help describe your assigned tasks and some markers for better organization. Here are some essential components to look for:
- Assignment description: An efficient assignment tracking template will have space so you can jot down assignment notes. This avoids confusion and lets you anticipate the difficulty of your to-dos.
- Dates: Â Having dedicated fields for your due dates lets you plan your schedule better. This way, you know how much time you have to complete a task. Additionally, when paired with your assignment notes, you can sort them according to priority levels.
- Completion status: Keeping track of task statuses lets you know which tasks have started, are in progress, are accomplished, or need revision. Moreover, it’s also a great way to remember which tasks you need to return to.
- Subject and type: Â You also want to categorize your assignments into their respective subjects. Another way to group them is by assignment type, including papers, lab reports, collaborative work, and similar tasks.
The components above are only a few useful fields in an assignment tracking template. For example, some spreadsheets also include monthly views or trackers for semester-wide assignment lists . Templates such as these will undoubtedly have other categories you’d need to explore.
Basic Assignment Tracking Template
With all the considerations laid out above, we created a simple but effective assignment tracking template you can use for free. While it may only feature a single functional tab, it has nine named columns you can organize according to your tasks.
If you haven’t already, you can download our free assignment tracking template here:
Let’s discuss the template in more detail .
Column A—Days Remaining
This is self-explanatory, but you can refer to this column to see the number of days you have left to do or submit your assignment. Depending on the days remaining, you can also decide which tasks to prioritize according to their deadlines.
The cells under this column are automatically updated using our pre-loaded formulas , so avoid modifying them. Instead, you can change the values under the last two columns of this template.
Columns B to D—Tags for Status, Subject, and Task Type
Under these columns, you can set the categories of your assignments either by their completion status, class, or assignment type. You can select the values from the drop-down lists that come with the template based on the American curriculum.
Additionally, these statuses are associated with specific colors, making them more visual so that you can view and handle multiple ongoing tasks more efficiently. If the subjects listed differ from what you’re currently taking, you can modify the options.
To modify the subject options, follow the steps below:
- First, click on a cell’s drop-down list and locate the pen icon at the bottom.
- Click the pen icon to open the drop-down settings on the left-hand side of your screen.
- Change the values listed on the options, such as editing Math  to Physics.
- Once you’ve set your preferred selection, click the “ Done” button.
- Upon clicking, a pop-out might appear on your screen asking whether to apply the changes to a wider cell range.
- Simply click “Apply  to all”  to replicate the changes to the other cells.
Another handy feature is the filter option in the “Status”  column. You can use this to view your tasks based on their completion level. For example, you can choose to see only the in-progress tasks. Here’s how you do it.
- To get started, click on the filter icon next to the “Status”  label.
- You should see a list of values with checkmarks on their left side once you scroll down.
- To deselect all of them, click on “ Clear.”
- Next, begin selecting the tasks you want to see per status, such as To start  and In-progress.
- Finally, click “OK.”
- To revert the view, simply follow steps one to five, ensuring to select all the categories again.
Columns E to I—Assignment Details
You can start entering the information you know about the tasks at hand. The columns E to G are divided into three categories: Assignment Title, Description, and Files/Links. If your assignment has attachments and URLs, such as resources, you can keep them in the last column mentioned.
Meanwhile, columns H to I serve as fields where you can input the dates when your task is given and when you need to submit it. Take note that these are installed with data validation rules—you can’t enter values that aren’t valid dates. These values are also used to calculate the Days Remaining column.
Semester Assignment Spreadsheet
If you are looking to plan your entire semester ahead of time with your potential tasks, this is a helpful assignment tracking template. It’s much simpler than the previous spreadsheet discussed and gives you a semester-wide overview of your assignments.
Get the template here: Â Semester Assignment Spreadsheet
This assignment tracking template has only three fields that you can update. The first field is the (1) Date , which is located under the seven days of the week (with a total of fifteen weeks in the spreadsheet as per the American semester.)
The second is the (2) Tags  field, which allows you to categorize your tasks according to the subject. As with the other template, these tags are color-coded for an easier view. Lastly, you can also populate the (3) Assignment Details , the blank spaces beside the tags.
Why Use Our Assignment Schedule Templates?
You can virtually make a never-ending list of benefits from using a homework spreadsheet, but to name a few, here are some reasons why they’re beneficial for managing your workload.

Free Work Plan Templates
What is a Work Plan
A work plan is a simple project plan template that works as an organizational tool. It specifies the processes required for a project and sets reasonable completion dates.
This type of project planning aims to establish a visual reference for the project’s goals, objectives, tasks, and team members responsible for those tasks.
Project planners encourage everyone involved in the project to actively participate and communicate. Project managers can develop an overall project work plan and then create phase-specific individual work plans for complex projects with several phases of completion.
A work plan template helps save time as you switch between projects. Your template can be modified to add, remove, or replace team members or tasks. It can also include customized prompts for setting objectives or goals.
Typically, a work plan template includes the following areas:
- Group duties
- Individual responsibilities
- Project phase deadlines
- Budget for the project
- Potential setbacks
Work Plan Samples
Why Is a Work Plan Necessary
During the project management phase, a project work plan template serves as a road map for the full project execution.
It creates structure and guarantees the support of important stakeholders, relevant departments, accountable leaders, and more.
In addition, it assists in managing the expectations of all of the above-mentioned parties. Like how project plan templates direct project teams, work plans do the same.
They clarify specific tasks and outcomes for each team member, paving the way for accountability and successful collaboration.
What are the Different Types of Work Plans
Work plans come in many different shapes and sizes. Work plans can be adapted to suit the roles of individuals responsible for executing them. That said, the work plan’s actual content may differ depending on the project’s intended use.
Understanding project specifics and duties allows you to establish team roles, lower the possibility that you and your team will go over budget, and increase the likelihood that you will accomplish your goal within the given time frame.
As you choose the form of work plan to create for your present project, take into account the following typical types:
- Work Plan for Employees This work plan includes the team members and personnel who will be working on the project. It can provide guidance and detailed tasks for each individual role in the project. This strategy can also help your staff members comprehend their present and future roles and their interactions with their coworkers. It can be used by small groups to establish objectives, track progress, adhere to deadlines, and stick to the project schedule to finish the project. Work plans for employees could include: The project’s objective. Predicted budget for the project. The supplies and costs needed. Estimated due dates.
- Work Plan for Managers To discuss team activities, evaluate accomplishments, and set future objectives for each department or team, a project manager from any department within an organization may construct work plans for their departments. It could include short-term objectives and metrics that management can use to monitor progress, like a thorough budget, performance data, and project or department development details. This work plan may include the following to help project management by providing a wider scope: How the project is advantageous to the company. The company’s complete descriptions of project expenses. Predicted and actual budgets. Project timeline with all the tasks that need completing. Statistics demonstrating how the business can profit (more sales, visibility, or traffic).
How to Create a Work Plan Template
After determining which kind of work plan best suits your needs, you should consult with those who will be assisting in its execution. To establish and explain your long-term and short-term goals, you can decide if you wish to create a number of work plans or stick to one.
Following these steps will help you create a work plan that will assist your team in organizing its goals.
- Establish objectives and goals Setting specific goals and objectives is the first stage in developing a work plan. Your objectives should be clear and measurable, focusing on the bigger picture. For instance, if you’re launching a new product, your objective might be to attract 100,000 website visitors over the course of the following six months. Launching a fresh social media campaign could be one of the objectives for that goal.
- Define the duties of the team Assign team members to lead each effort after you’ve determined the goals. A leader should be appointed if a team is being formed to carry out certain tasks. Assign hierarchy levels if the project is vast and complex with numerous teams. A project manager could be in charge of multiple team leaders, meeting with just those people and concentrating on the overall development to keep a project on track.
- Create project schedules Setting deadlines helps teams stay on target and controls costs. You can set a realistic deadline for completing your task and be willing to adjust your team’s plan if there is a chance to adopt a more efficient technique. When drafting your business plan, take into account the SMART goals principles, which stand for: Specific: Be sure to set clear and explicit goals, objectives, and next steps. Measurable: This is where you will state how your project progresses toward your objectives. Attainable: Your team can actually complete your goals and objectives within the allotted time limit if they are deemed to be attainable. Relevant: Match your values and long-term aspirations with the target, task, and goal. Time-specific: Your plan allows you to set priorities for your time since it has a realistic finish date.
- Create a budget It’s time to estimate expenses and develop a budget after you are certain of the resources your job plan will require. Simply decide on a measurement unit for your labor, materials, and other resources to do this, and then give each one an estimated price. Obtaining quotations from other vendors may be part of your work plan. You should allocate distinct duties to the various teams and break down expenditures in your budget. You can assess your expenses and ascertain whether the team is on budget by reviewing them each time a team completes a task or reaches a new milestone. If the team is running behind schedule or over budget, you can reallocate resources from other departments or postpone the project altogether. With a thorough work plan, you can identify areas where your team needs extra resources and adjust your plans accordingly.
- Outline any risks, restrictions, and suppositions The more information you have regarding restrictions and potential hazards, the better your team can carry out its duties to create deliverables and accomplish the project’s goals and objectives. Remember that your work plan template is the action plan that will direct your project. During the project, it’s possible that some team members will take a few sick days, there will be unforeseen jobs to complete, or certain tools will break down, necessitating the expenditure of more funds. Any potential risk that could develop into a full-blown constraint and affect the fulfilment of deliverables or even the project goals and objectives should be considered, regardless of the project limitations.
Project Work Plan Templates
3 Steps to Create a Work Plan Template
- Plan ahead Every transformation begins with an idea. The concept, though, simply isn’t strong enough to persuade anyone that it’s a good one. So now begins the bulk of a product manager’s labor: Create a document of initiative – This will serve as the main document for your work plan, where you will compile all pertinent notes and data. This document includes every element of the initiative, including any future communications or updates related to the entire project plan. Create a user story or something similar – Here, you must provide your project, the intended user group, and the value it offers the company. This will lay a strong basis for the remaining work you’ll perform using your work planning template. Check whether the concept fits the present product’s core principles and purpose – It must address current goals and OKRs and suit the existing product vision and strategy. Without it, it will serve as a detour from the existing course. A well-written work plan can be a foundation for defining the period’s OKRs. Pick the product metrics you want to address – It’s time to connect your solution to your product metrics and goals after you’ve confirmed the context. It’s acceptable to have suggestions that improve product quality rather than directly affect any KPIs in order to promote long-term retention. Conduct analysis and prototype discovery – Even though it’s not always practicable, make an effort to look up the answers to the following questions: Was this solution evaluated by competitors or potential competitors in other product areas? Do we have the appropriate project management software? Is there a scientific study that examined the theory in a controlled setting? Have researchers examined, for instance, how gamification affects users’ behavior? Are you able to predict how the initiative would affect product metrics? Which user personas will benefit from the update? What alternative approaches exist for this problem? Decide the internal stakeholders – High-level executives, developers, researchers, business analysts, and other product managers. Set up a project launch event – Once you’ve completed your due diligence, schedule a meeting to bring together all the necessary stakeholders and get everyone on the same page. The major objectives will be to develop a more concrete product plan and identify any gaps or unanticipated dangers that might stand in the way.
- Kick-off Now that the product manager has finished all of the necessary planning, the kick-off meeting can be considered a sort of handoff meeting. The duty of making it happen is largely transferred to the development team following this discussion, even though the PM doesn’t immediately move on to studying another proposal. You must see all work through to completion if you are a product manager who also manages projects and leads the development team. Whatever your role, the following topics need to be covered at the kick-off meeting: Presentation of conclusions by the product manager. Discuss those conclusions to ensure everyone in the meeting is on the same page. Creating a plan for the high-level technical requirements and the timeline. Recognizing the risks and coming up with strategies to reduce them. Seeking an MVP that can be used to test the product idea as soon as possible. This can refer to various things, such as a product discovery process showing a mockup of the update to random individuals or a fully functional update with possibly only a chosen pool of targeted users. Creating a timeline with expected check-in spots. Deciding on anticipated delivery dates and parties in charge. Confirming the conditions. Final question-and-answer period to ensure that everyone leaves the room at the very least in peace, if not upbeat and confident.
- Analyze Now you need to reflect on how the strategy is coming together at this point. Try to respond to these inquiries: What follows the MVP, whether it is successful or not? What elements of a successful MVP need to be improved the most? Does the outcome of this project affect your future plans? How? Can other areas of the product/company have any ownership in this update (i.e., when your trial is carried out as a minor side project but is so effective that it promises far greater results than other roadmap items planned)? Are there any opportunities that this change opens up? In general, take a seat and consider your options. Waiting until the update is available to accomplish that would be inefficient. A successful result should be pursued right away since every day you don’t build on it is a day you’ve lost.

Benefits of Using a Task List
Project managers can benefit in many ways when using a task list to manage their teams. This is because they are an effective way to launch projects quickly and ensure activities are identified, prioritised, and assigned to the most suitable employees under each step.
Here are different ways team leaders can benefit from one:
Increase productivity and efficiency
With this list, employee responsibilities can be clearly defined, ensuring the team remains focused as everyone knows what is expected. This increases productivity. Also, duties can be delegated so that capable members or teams can work on different tasks simultaneously. This ensures goals and deadlines are met due to reduced downtime. This results in faster delivery and the optimization of time and resources, thus completing projects efficiently.
Prioritise tasks
Tasks can be listed in order of importance, priority, or urgency. Additionally, by displaying the dependencies between tasks in this order, the team is better able to prioritise its efforts and avoid bottlenecks.
Tracks progress and recurring tasks
The document lists the activity’s status, which can be either completed, ongoing, or pending. This information is needed to track the team’s progress over time. It can also be shared with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure they are updated on the project’s progress.
A list of repeating activities can be duplicated and reused for the corresponding period, whether daily, weekly, or monthly, using a premade template.
Allows delegation
Listing activities simplifies the delegation of work among the team members. You can identify the strengths of each member and assign them to duties they are suitable for. Additionally, you can more effectively and fairly distribute the workload and responsibilities among the employees to prevent overworking some of them at the expense of others.
Better time management
You can divide large tasks into smaller, manageable activities with a list. Listing activities allows you to manage them effectively and allocate realistic deadlines.
Reduced stress
Task lists offer a valuable solution to alleviate the mental burden of remembering every task. By providing a clear structure and a sense of control, they effectively reduce stress and create more mental space for focusing on the current task.
Improved communication
A task list informs team members, stakeholders, and clients about activities, the assigned employee, and the completion timeline . This promotes alignment and fosters collaboration among all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone shares a common understanding and can work together efficiently to successfully meet project deadlines.
Greater accountability
Task lists establish accountability by clearly assigning tasks to specific team members. Each individual knows their responsibilities and can track their progress against the tasks assigned to them.
How to Make a Task List for Your Team
Understanding how to create a functional and effective activity list for your project is important. This is because a well-prepared document is easy to use and eliminates the risk of any errors due to missed or forgotten tasks or steps.Â
Below is the detailed process for making such lists for a project:
Consider the scope of the project
It is important to consider the scope of the project , which is determined by its size and nature. Define the specific deliverables, the number of tasks involved, and the expected final product. This information will guide you in identifying the necessary activities that need to be completed. Subsequently, based on that, you can determine the appropriate format and layout for your document, ensuring its effectiveness and organisation.
Determine the priority of each task based on its importance, urgency, and dependencies. Identify critical tasks that need to be completed first or those that may impact the overall project timeline .
Determine the project’s timeline
Then, determine the timeline by identifying when different activities should be completed and the order in which they should be prioritised. Use this information to set realistic and achievable deadlines for each activity.
Divide the project into sections
The project should be divided into smaller, manageable tasks. Begin by identifying the significant milestones or phases and subsequently dividing them into more specific action items.
Assign responsibilities
Next, assign the activities to the appropriate employees. Assign tasks to specific team members or stakeholders responsible for their completion. Clearly communicate the assignments and ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
Organise and structure
Determine the most suitable format for your list. It could be a simple checklist, a spreadsheet , project management software, or any other tool that works best for you and your team.
Regularly review and update
Continuously review and update the list as the project progresses. Add new tasks, modify deadlines if needed, and ensure that completed tasks are checked off or marked as complete.
Communicate and collaborate
Share the list with the relevant team members and stakeholders. Encourage open communication and collaboration to address any questions, provide support, and ensure everyone is aligned. This infographic is about tips for using task list templates.
How to Customise a Task List Template in Excel
A template is simply a pre-made outline to guide you on what information to include in your list and the appropriate format and layout to use. Therefore, templates will normally offer you a customization option that allows you to create a document that is specific to your project and fulfils your requirements.
Below is a complete procedure on how to create one using Excel:
Launch excel
Launch Microsoft Excel on your computer by clicking on the Excel icon or finding it in your applications folder. Once Excel is open, you will see a blank workbook. This is where you will create your list. If you have a specific project file, you can open it instead.
Select a task list template
Choose a pre-designed task list template from the available options. You can find templates by selecting “File” > “New” and searching for “task list” in the template search bar. Alternatively, you can also browse online for templates compatible with Excel and download them.
Review the template structure
Take a moment to review the structure and layout of the template. Familiarise yourself with the columns, headers, and data fields already included.
Create column headers
Then, modify the headers and sections of the template in Excel to match the project steps or workflow. Determine the categories or information you want to have. Common column headers may include task name, description, assigned to, status, deadline, priority, and notes. Enter these column headers in the first row of your worksheet.
Enter details of the tasks
Starting from the second row, enter the relevant details for each task in the corresponding columns. For example, under “Task Name,” enter the name or title of the task. Add appropriate information for each activity in the other columns, such as descriptions, assigned individuals, due dates, status updates, and any additional notes.
Add or remove columns
Add or remove columns based on the information you want to track for your tasks. Right-click on the column header and select “Insert” or “Delete” to add or remove columns, respectively.
Adjust column widths
Resize the column widths to accommodate the content in each column. Hover your cursor between the column letters, click, and drag to expand or shrink the width as needed.
Format the cells
Apply formatting options such as font style, size, and colour to enhance the visual appeal and readability of the list. You can also add borders, shading, or cell highlighting to draw attention to important information.
Customise data validation
If your list template includes data validation, customise it to fit your specific needs. Data validation can help ensure that entered data meets certain criteria, such as selecting options from a drop-down list for task status or priority.
Add formulas or conditional formatting
Utilize Excel’s formulas and conditional formatting features to automate calculations and visually highlight specific data based on certain conditions. For example, you can create a formula to calculate task completion percentages or use conditional formatting to highlight overdue tasks.
Save and use the customized template
Once you have made the desired changes and customizations, save the file as a template for future use. Select “File” > “Save As” and choose the file format “.xltx” or “.xlsx” to save it as an Excel template.
By following these steps, you can effectively customise a task list template in Excel to align with your project or personal task management requirements. This flexibility allows you to create a task list that suits your specific needs and enhances your productivity and organisation.
Types of Task List Templates
You can access different types of templates for listing your project tasks. Below are examples of common types of such templates. They vary in complexity and application:
Simple task list
This blank template outlines tasks in a straightforward format. It has sections for recording a brief task description, due date, and status. It is meant for small projects with a few team members that do not require extensive planning. This template is simple in design and easy to use when creating lists and managing employees .
Project task list
It is a generic template designed to organise, track, and manage activities in different projects. The template has sections to indicate the project tasks, deadlines, assignees, priority, and deliverables. It is more detailed and can be used for personal and business projects. This template can also outline potential issues and risks that ought to be mitigated throughout the project.
Daily task list
The tasks that must be accomplished each day in order to advance the project toward its objectives are recorded on a daily task list. It indicates the starting time for each day and task interval and, as such, can be segmented into hours. It should be flexible to accommodate changes or unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the project. Regularly update and communicate the list with relevant team members to ensure everyone is aligned and working towards the project’s objectives.
Weekly task list
It helps individuals or teams plan and organise their tasks for the entire week. It typically includes tasks that need to be accomplished within that specific week. It has sections for the day, date, task description, due date, status, and keynotes. It can be synced with the calendar to optimise scheduling. This document is an effective time management instrument that helps plan and prioritise weekly activities to ensure they are completed before the deadline at the end of the week.
In conclusion, task lists are indispensable tools for effective task management and productivity. Individuals and teams can stay organised, prioritise their work, and monitor progress toward their objectives by using them. Work schedule templates
We created these free work schedule templates to help you be more productive and efficient with your work tasks.
You'll notice that some templates cover your daily, weekly, and monthly assignments, while other templates only provide you with one type of assignment.
That's because some types of schedules demand more details, such as the Work from home template — which is why this one has both the daily and weekly versions.
Work from home schedule template
When working from home, you often have to deal with many distractions, either coming from your neighborhood, from the people you live with, or your pets.
One of the best ways to avoid all these interruptions and get back on track with your work is to follow your schedule .
Here are two Work from home schedule templates you can use to organize your workday — or workweek, if that suits you better.
Weekly work from home schedule template
The Weekly work from home schedule template breaks down each day into three sections: Morning, Afternoon, and Evening.
Furthermore, there's a Weekly work checklist, and Meetings/calls section.
If you enjoy having an overview of your weekly tasks, this template will suit you, especially if you have flexible working hours . In this case, you'll be able to choose the time of day for your job assignments, then figure out when you'll fit in your home chores or meal preps.
Of course, even if you have fixed working hours, this template will help you make an 8-hour workday schedule that suits your needs.
To use it properly, you should fill this template out either on Sunday afternoon/Monday morning or note down new tasks every day.
Start by choosing the time of the day for each assignment during the week.
To ensure you'll get the most out of every workday, keep in mind your circadian rhythm — leave the most complex tasks for the time of the day when you're most alert. Then, be sure to add all your significant weekly tasks to the Weekly work checklist, as well as jot down all your weekly meetings and calls.
We hope that the Work from home weekly schedule template will help you finish your job tasks on time.
Once again, remember to take frequent breaks in between assignments.

Daily work from home schedule template
The Daily work from home schedule template ensures you stay on track with all your daily tasks. This template breaks down your day into hourly segments. In addition, there's a valuable section called the Daily work checklist, where you can input all the most crucial activities/tasks of the day. Moreover, there's a To-do list for tomorrow, which you can fill out at the end of each day.
Anyone working from home can surely benefit from using this template. We suggest opening this template first thing in the morning.
Make sure to note down your most vital tasks and activities in the Daily work checklist section. Next, write down your meetings of the day. Once you do that, you'll have a better idea of when you'll be free to deal with your significant assignments. Don't forget to include breaks throughout the day, too.
Finally, to avoid working overtime, you should note down all the tasks for tomorrow in the To-do list for tomorrow.

Assignments schedule template
We created two types of templates that allow you to keep track of your assignments:
- Weekly assignments schedule, and
- Daily assignments schedule.
Weekly assignments schedule template
The Weekly assignments schedule is quite straightforward — there's a simple table where you can add tasks for each day of the week. In addition, we included the Task deadlines section and Reminders.
If you're looking for an easy way to keep a record of all your weekly assignments, this template will fit your needs.
We suggest filling it out at the beginning of a week.
Of course, if there are any unexpected tasks throughout the week, be sure to add them to the Weekly assignments schedule.
Now, this template also ensures that you complete all your tasks before the deadline, which is why we encourage you to enter your tasks' deadlines in the middle section.
Furthermore, there's the Reminders section, where you can add any important reminders or notes for your weekly assignments.

Daily assignments schedule template
The Daily assignments schedule is a template that helps you figure out your top 3 priorities of the day. Moreover, since this template contains The Eisenhower Matrix technique section, it allows you to distinguish between important/not important, and urgent/not urgent assignments.
This template is practical because it ensures that you deal with your tasks according to their urgency and importance.
Once you fill out the Eisenhower Matrix technique section, simply scroll down to the hourly table and choose time blocks for these assignments.
Finally, don't forget to enter some vital tasks for tomorrow.

Yearly time off schedule template
The Yearly time off schedule template allows you to keep track of your time off throughout the year. In this template, we covered several vital categories of time off, such as paid vacation, sick leave, earned days, and others.
Also, there are three important sections for each type of time off: Consumed days, Available days, and Balance.
So, how to use the Yearly time off template?
It couldn't be simpler.
First, enter the balance for each type of time off. For particular types, such as sick leave, you may not have a balance, but for paid vacation, you definitely will.
Then, whenever you receive approval to take time off for any reason, just enter the number of days in the proper row (the type of time off) and in the right column (the current month).
Next, the template will automatically calculate the number of Consumed days (for each type of time off) and the number of Available days left.
Thus, you'll have a better idea of how many days off you've used so far and how many there are left by the end of the year.

Weekly meetings schedule
The Weekly meetings schedule is suitable for those of you who have meetings every day. With this template, you'll be able to keep track of all your meetings. In addition, you can add any significant details, such as meeting agenda, topic, and start and end time.
The Weekly meetings schedule covers five days of the week. To make the most of this template, you should open it at the beginning of the week and enter all your weekly meetings. Be sure to include details such as where meetings take place or the links to online calls.
To ensure that you're fully prepared for any meeting, add its topic and agenda, if needed.
Then, once the meeting starts, you can follow its agenda, but also write notes in the Important notes section.

Non-work schedule templates
Apart from templates for organizing your job tasks, meetings, and time off, we created some non-work schedules you can use for free, too.
Here's the list of the templates you can use for planning your time outside of work:
- Household chores schedule,
- Workout schedule,
- Budget schedule,
- Travel schedule, and
- Meal prep schedule.
Household chores schedule template
We made two types of household chores templates:
- Monthly household chores, and
- Weekly household chores schedule template.
Monthly household chores template
The Monthly household chores template helps you deal with all your errands around the house. This template covers a weekly breakdown of chores, but also some additional ones that you do once a month.
You can add your typical weekly chores.
Plus, you can add the names of the people in charge of these errands, which comes in handy if you share your household chores with your partner, roommate, or family members.
There's a column called Additional monthly chores, where you can enter some of the errands you deal with every month. For example, cleaning/vacuuming furniture or cleaning windows.
Moreover, we included another section for all the outdoor chores, which comes in handy if you live in a house. To make sure you won't forget any outside-the-house monthly errands, be sure to add them to this list.

Weekly household chores schedule template
The Weekly household chores schedule template allows you to keep an eye on all your household chores during the week. We included a separate schedule for each day, along with Before work and After work columns, so that you can plan your errands accordingly.
In addition, we added the Who's in charge column to this template, too.
Since this template covers seven days, you can enter all your weekly errands at the beginning of the week.
Then, simply add the name of the person in charge of every chore.
Once you or your family members finish a specific errand, just put a checkmark next to it.
Also, during the workweek, you can decide whether you'll deal with these chores before or after work.
And, on weekends, you can choose whether you'll complete your errands in the morning or afternoon.
We didn't include evenings on weekends, because you should have some time to relax on Saturdays and Sundays.
Finally, this template contains the Shopping list — so, whenever you remember you need to buy milk or anything else, note it down here.

Then, choose how frequently you'll do such types of workouts.
Also, whether you'll do your exercises with or without equipment is up to you, and you can add these details to your schedule, too.

As you can see, the Weekly workout schedule template covers several workout categories:
- HIIT (high-intensity interval training), and
- Yoga/stretching.
Depending on your monthly goals, you should choose the frequency of each category. Of course, you don't have to include all these categories in your workout plans, just the ones that will help you move towards your monthly objective.
Next, think of the best days for each type of exercise, as well as the time of the day.
Then, decide on the duration of your workout sessions.
This template also allows you to add links for workout videos you'd like to try, but also links for playlists. There's no doubt that music can help us stay motivated — so be sure to add your favorite tunes to this column.
Finally, remember that rest days are just as important as the days you exercise. Therefore, note down the days you'll spend resting.

Meal planning can be such a bummer, especially on days when you have too much work to do. Instead of figuring out what you'll have for each meal of the day, try organizing your meals for an entire week. Then, simply follow this routine throughout the week.

A to-do list is a simple but highly effective tool. Simply list the tasks you’ve been assigned or you can even use it for household chores. Next, you’ll want to give each task a start and due date. This is the duration or timeframe in which you want the work completed.

Now you can calculate the inventory price, which is the unit price multiplied by the number in stock. This Excel spreadsheet template does this automatically. There’s a column to note whether you need to reorder, what level to reorder, how long it takes to restock and what that reorder quantity should be.
17. Progress Report Template
Project reports are essential for a number of reasons. One, they help you monitor your progress and performance, and two, they’re a great tool for keeping stakeholders updated. Use ProjectManager to Track Time, Costs and Tasks Better Than Excel
Templates and Excel spreadsheets for tracking are great, but as noted, they can only do so much. ProjectManager is online work management software that connects everyone, no matter where they work, what time, department or skill level. It does so in real-time to ensure that everyone is collaborating and working on the most recent data.
Automatically Fill Out Timesheets
Take timesheets, for example. Instead of having your employee fill out the timesheet, ProjectManager’s timesheets autofill their tasks and update the time they’ve spent. This streamlines payroll but also offers a window into tracking the time they spend on their tasks. That way, you know if they’re meeting their quota. Once submitted, timesheets are locked and secure.
Work the Way That Suits You
Multiple project views allow everyone on the team to work how they want. Managers can plan ahead on Gantt charts that show all their tasks on a timeline. The duration bar that connects each task’s start and end dates automatically shows progress based on how much of it is shaded. Teams can use task lists, kanban boards or calendars if they prefer, all of which are updated and show progress. No tool is more flexible for planning and tracking work.
Generate One-Click Reports in Seconds
Tracking time, costs and more is easy with ProjectManager’s one-click reports. Get status reports, reports on tasks, timesheets, expenses and more. These reports take complicated data and turn it into insightful and easy-to-read reports to monitor progress and more. Reports can also be filtered to see only the data you want and then shared to keep stakeholders updated.

Peer Connection and Support
At a glance.
- Students who feel connected to, supported by, and respected by their peers show greater engagement in school.
- These students also report feeling more connected to their school.
Students reported higher levels of school connectedness when they and their peers:
- Get to know each other well in classes.
- Are interested in getting to know other students.
- Enjoy doing things with one another in school activities.
- Enjoy working together on projects in class.
Peer connection and support
These skills can help foster strong connections among students.
Providing opportunities for students to learn more about one another
Example strategies:
Set up time in class for informal discussions among students.
Use activities such as "Think, Pair, Share"—students think about a question or topic, discuss it with a peer, and report back to the group. This activity enables students to ask and learn about one another.
Virtual settings
Providing opportunities for students to interact with one another in fun ways.
Keep whole-group lessons or teacher-led instruction short (10-20 minutes at a time). And use time to prepare students for more hands-on activities.
Virtual learning settings
Providing opportunities for students to work together on assignments.
Assign a collaborative class project to be completed either in person or virtually. Assign different sections of the project to small groups of students. This allows them to collaborate and complete projects together.
Virtual classrooms
Consider using platforms that enable students to collaborate on assignments and activities with students outside of their immediate community. When students collaborate with "e-pals" on assignments, it can help expand their social networks. It also exposes them to voices and perspectives they would not otherwise encounter.
Promoting expectations that students help one another if a peer doesn’t understand something
Ask students to write down an answer to a question. (Answers could be submitted: on paper, or as an "exit ticket" on whiteboards during in-person instruction; through "chat" features during virtual instruction). Then, group students in teams to discuss their answers. Each team should have at least one student with a firm understanding of the solution or answer. This arrangement empowers students to help each other and gives them varied perspectives on possible alternative answers.
Promoting expectations that students respect and listen to one another
Set clear and explicit expectations about what is to be respected and honored in the classroom, for all students:
- Backgrounds—racial/ ethnic, cultural, national.
- Identities—sexual orientation, gender identity.
These expectations can be integrated into class guidelines, rules, or agreements.
Model respect for students' backgrounds and identities. Also, consider seeking resources and professional development opportunities for strengthening your own skills around promoting diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
Consider classroom activities that provide students with opportunities to practice and improve listening and communication skills.
One example is to use the spider web discussion model (see 8 Strategies to Improve Participation in Your Virtual Classroom in Tools & Templates below). All students respond to a teacher-guided question at the start of class. After students listen to all responses, they engage in a broader discussion. You then draw lines on paper or whiteboard, tracking the flow of the conversation from student to student. This results in a web of lines that reflect the conversation pattern.
