The international trade on the other hand is detrimental to the domestic economy as a consequence it affects the dollar and this consequently affect the ability of consumers to afford consumer goods (Torgerson & Spencer, 1996, p. 36). I may be unable to afford to purchase a home as a result of these mechanisms. When I try to factor these effects on the dream of owning a home, I feel that assets such as these can get out of reach basically because of domestic and international.

The strength of the economy may also impact on marginal benefits as well as the cost. This is likely to have an effect on my decision to buy a house or not to (Torgerson & Spencer, 1996, p. 36). As identified above, the straight of our economy greatly rely on the domestic and international markets since nations are constantly trading with each other. This means that whatever is happening in one nation will definitely impact the other as long as they are in some kind of relationship.

Other factors that will affect my decision include the amount of money I have. Generally people make decision depending on the money saved. The economy’s strength is also likely to affect my decision considering that when interest rates are high, it’s costly to take a mortgage or buy loans (Torgerson & Spencer, 1996, p. 36). Basically the principle staining that prices increase when administration prints more cash for circulation. Definitely the state will attempt to print more money to counter recession. The impact is in fact hard for many people. Another fact that would affect my decision will be society tradeoffs when there is inflation and consequently joblessness. It would be better for me to make the purchase in times when there is inflation and joblessness (Mankiw, 2008b, p. 117). Unemployment has been increasing; this means that few people have money to commit into the purchase of houses. It’s likely that due to describing demand, houses will be cheaper.

The decision to purchase a house is not a very simple one and entails a lot of researching and assessment of the environment. This is because anyone who is about to buy a house has to put into consideration all the merits and the demerits before making the decision. It’s important to reflect on the obvious and implicit costs of the decision.

Introduction

There are different types of people living in the world. Some are lucky enough to acquire all the amenities while some are not. Specifically, almost 80% of the population live below the poverty line in India. Only a fortunate few can own a piece of land where they can build a house or buy a flat. As far as myself is concerned, I am blessed enough to be surrounded by four walls and a roof. It is a small but beautiful house that we call home. It is the fruit of my parent’s hard work and sacrifice.

House: A Blessing

In this world of uncertainty, having a house is obviously a blessing. This can only be understood when the people who do not have it are asked about it. This is the only way of realising the blessing of owning a house. A house is not always defined as luxurious if it is filled with all the latest amenities. Only a roof over the head can complete a house if there is happiness filled in it.

But then again, only four walls and a roof always cannot complete a house. It is successfully completed when you are surrounded by your loved ones. The importance and significance of a house must be realised before it is too late. I realised it later. I had started to understand the importance of my house after an incident.

I have grown up with my parents and grandparents and a maid. The maid was from a distant place and she has been staying with us from my childhood days. One thing I noticed was that she did not want to go home. She worked for our house tirelessly. Even when my mother asked her to visit her home she denied every time. This particular thing astonished me. After that, I came to know that she did not have a proper house to live in. She wanted to spend all the time at our house because she was able to access all basic needs like electricity and water. This particular thing made me realise that no house is taken for granted. I am truly blessed to have a house.

I live in a house made by my parents, with my parents and grandparents. My parents built this house for us with a lot of hard work. It has three rooms, one balcony, one kitchen, two bathrooms, and a terrace. The house is open towards the south and very airy. The balcony is large enough where we can spend a lot of time enjoying the beauty of nature. The house is well-equipped with all the basic amenities. The speciality of our house is obviously the balcony. The location of the house is also very good as it is easily accessible from all parts of the city.

My house is also a destination for my friends and relatives. Everyone likes the interior decoration and the set-up of our house. The perfect blend of modern facilities and vintage architecture makes our house so special.

My mother always said, “The best things in life are free”. I believe that the only thing that really makes a house is the family that lives there. In this essay, I am going to show you why my family means so much to me more than any other thing and why this is the house that I want to live my whole life in.

My father is a carpenter and has worked hard to provide us with the best house, life, and education that we could have asked for. The house my family lives in, is a beautiful three story, ranch style home with a big yard and the perfect views of the surrounding city skyline. The house has one of the largest living areas my family could ever ask for. The house has been built with great workmanship and every room has been planned with the family in mind.

My father used every cent of the money that he earned building this house to provide us the best life. The house has been remodelled many times over the years, as my parents had different ideas on how they wanted it to look. Some of the updates include new flooring, ceilings, and appliances. My mom spends most of her time cleaning the house, doing laundry, and cooking dinner, even though she has been a homemaker all her life. I was lucky enough to be able to spend every summer as a kid helping my father fix the house up.

During the school year, I helped him keep the house clean and I got to spend most of my free time doing what I really love, watching action and comedy movies. I was always impressed with how much work my father had to do to build this house and how proud he was when he finally finished. For the past 12 years, I wanted to be a professional basketball player, and have a lot of fun in the process of being a professional basketball player.

I am a very competitive person and I always wanted to beat my opponents to prove how good I am. During my college years, I would go to practice twice a week and play every single game. My teammates always supported me, and my father always encouraged me to do the best I can. When I had to make a decision of which college I wanted to go to, I chose Duke University because I thought that it would be a better opportunity for me to succeed.

The school is where I got my first opportunity to show the world that I am a professional basketball player. My team, Duke Blue Devils Basketball, had a very successful year as they won the ACC Championship. I made the decision to leave my school, North Carolina because I wanted to live in the city and I have more experience playing in front of a home crowd. I did not play as much as I wanted to, because I was hurt during the first season and had to rest my ankle. My dream was to play in the NBA, and I had the opportunity to get drafted when I was drafted number 14 by the Utah Jazz. I have loved my time at Duke and I am thankful to the coaches and teammates I have had. I am going to leave Duke Basketball with more than my high school teammates because of the opportunities I have had during the years I was there.

The house I live in now is my fourth home. It's my "dream house." It's big, and there's room for everything: books and furniture, clothes, pictures, toys, whatever. It's the perfect house for a three-year-old boy. It's even pretty. My sister bought it when she moved in, and we've added lots of stuff since then. It's a good place to live and it's warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and light-filled in the daytime.

But my house is not a house for me. I'm the oldest of four siblings and I'm usually the last one in my family to find a place. The others have homes already and they're busy taking care of their families. I'm not that busy. I don't have children and I don't really have much in my life. Most of the time I just stay home and read or watch television. And I like it like that.

In addition to reading and watching television, I also like to play games. I play a lot of the video games my sister has bought for me, but I also have many other toys and games of my own. My sister's house is a little crowded with the things I use, but I have room for it in my house. My house has a closet full of shoes and clothes and all the toys my brother has brought home since he was a baby. But my house is not a home.

It's too big and too expensive. A one-bedroom apartment in my neighbourhood is much smaller and much cheaper than my house. Plus, I have a little room in my own closet. I can't take everything with me when I move, just like I can't take all the things in my house with me. I have to decide what stays with me and what goes in my basement. I try to make a list of the things I want to take, but sometimes it's too difficult to decide which things are more important. I'm not sure where my house came from.

My mom bought it, but she's not always been around. We live in a three-story house, and it's hard to find anyone to live in our basement. We can't even make any money renting it out, because people don't even want to visit. I've called my dad once in the last few months, and he said he had no idea where we were, but I know the truth. He's not really my dad.

I wonder if my house was always this way and if my mom would still be my mom if I stayed. She was more, my mom, before I was born, and after I came into her life, my dad started to get more important to her. When she met my dad, she got pregnant again, but my mom and I never got to see him. So my mom went back to her old life, and I thought she would never get to know me. I always wondered if I would have had a different life if I had stayed. I know I'd have wanted a better life for my mom, and I would've wanted a better life for myself, but I had to go and make my dad happy.

I know the decision I have to make was hard for my mom, but my dad's the one who didn't want me, and it's not like he's changed his mind. He still doesn't want me around. I just wish my mom had tried harder, but she did the best she could. It was hard for her to keep trying after he told her no more times.

Conclusion

My house is my temple and my cosy corner at the same time. At the end of a tiring day it is the refuge of our house that we seek so fervently. It is certainly painful to think of people spending days and nights under the open sky but at the same time it fills me with the determination that I must grow up to be successful in eliminating their distress.

This globalisation era has led a group of people to believe that new houses should be constructed according to their wish, while other majority of people opine this view and say that a house should represent the culture of the locality and should be made in traditional styles. In my opinion, a house owner should have the right to decide on the appearance of his property. This essay will discuss both the view.

On the one hand, supporters who favour historical over contemporary houses say that following a same pattern lends an equality to the society. It also facilitates in resembling the strong presence and dominance of the heritage a country possess. To illustrate, houses in Greece till date follows ancestral style of construction to reflect its ancient culture. Apart from that, it also restricts individuals building palatial homes, to stop audacious display of wealth.

On the other hand, those who express the urge of having the freedom to choose how their buildings will look argue that it is their right to decide as to how they want their places to look like and authorities should give them that liberty as they own the houses, and are paying a hefty sum for it. In addition, installing state of the art systems such as burglar alarms and cctv cameras on a traditional house can be a daunting task which, is the reason for many individuals to instead opt for modern houses with futuristic technology. For instance, in Tokyo, Japan, authorities don’t intervene in the process of structuring an apartment or a building according to an owner’s wish as long as the safety guidelines are met.

To conclude, I personally believe that ensuring safety policies are being followed, government should give house owners the right to choose how they desire their house to be.

With a growing world population and an increase of foreign influences in many countries, there is a growing debate on how newly built homes should look like. While some argue that it’s everyone’s freedom to decide on how they want their house to look, others emphasise the importance of perpetuating the uniqueness of the look of a country. I believe that we should uphold the way our cities look.

Many future homeowners are of the opinion that they should have the freedom to decide on how their place of living should look. Thus, authorities shouldn’t have a saying in the build process. For instance, many urban cities in the US, that are home to culturally diverse communities, want to live in a place, which reminds them of their heritage. By taking away this freedom, distinct neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Little Italy wouldn’t exist today.

However, opponents of this view argue that a country could lose its uniqueness as a result. If every individual would start building their residence in a style they please, many villages and cities would lose a part of their culture and history. We can see this in many European countries, that have a recognisable look. Not only would neighbourhoods lose their beauty, but a piece of history would be also lost.

In conclusion, I believe that municipalities should have the authority to decide on how homes should look. The advantages of preserving the uniqueness of a country, outweigh the freedom of building a house in any way. However, there should always be some degree of freedom when it comes to the design of a home, as long as it is within a certain framework.

Moving from First Home to New Home Narrative Essay

The author of the passage was forced to move from their childhood home at the age of ten. They found it difficult to leave behind the friends and familiar surroundings they had grown up with. The new neighborhood was not as safe, and the author experienced break-ins and thefts. They still feel sad that they won’t see their mom grow old in their old home, where they have many pleasant memories including the last time they saw their grandma. The author reflects on the notion that a home is more of a checkpoint in life and that taking risks is worth it. The experience has left the author wondering what is to come next.

I was ripped from the home I grew up in. It can be hard for kids to move. I think it was tough for me because I had to leave my friends, my safe place, and the home I grew up in. At the age of ten, I moved to a new house. It was disappointing because I had to leave the friends I grew up with behind. We would play together every day, but the day I told them I had to move, we all sulked around. My mom was in a very good mood, but every time she looked at me I couldn’t help but cry because I was leaving my friends behind.

The move to the new house was pretty scary. I didn’t know anyone around, and I felt like it wasn’t safe. My neighborhood is not the best. Since I have moved, there have been multiple break-ins and thefts around my house, including mine. I still get scared, which makes me feel like my old house was a safer place. I always thought that I would live in the place I grew up in until I was eighteen. It never happened, and I still don’t like the thought that I won’t see my mom grow old in that house.

Although my memories are pleasant, they can still make me sad. My old home was the first and last spot I had seen my grandma which makes me miss her all the time. From my point of view, the new house can’t bring as many memories as the one I grew up in. I have figured out that it’s not just a location, but more of a checkpoint through the adventure that is life. Also it’s nice to feel safe, but glory usually takes risks. The experience leaves me wondering what will come next.

KAMALANOMICS: What Does Vice President Kamala Harris Truly Believe?

WASHINGTON, D.C. – During her tenure as a United States Senator, Kamala Harris supported and advocated for the implementation of economic policies that would decimate America’s workforce and torpedo the economy.

Fast forward to the recently unveiled Harris-Waltz economic proposal, Vice President Harris continues to advocate in favor of policies that would further stifle American prosperity.

The Penn Wharton Budget Model analyzed the Harris-Walz economic plan and reported some alarming results:

Deficits would increase by $1.2 trillion over the next 10 years on a conventional basis, and by $2.0 trillion on a dynamic basis.
Relative to current law, GDP falls by 1.3 percent by 2034 and by 4 percent within 30 years .
Capital investment and working hours also fall, resulting in pre-tax wage losses for all income groups of nearly one percent over the next decade and by 3.3 percent in 2054 .

Open-border czar Harris is a proponent of giving free health care to illegal immigrants even as she claims to prioritize the middle class; however, her ideas would only add to the already hefty price tag that American taxpayers must shoulder.

Now, Harris would bring these policies to the Oval Office.

Cost of Harris's Senate Tenure:

Senator Harris championed regressive policies in areas ranging from healthcare to tax policy to education, and beyond. She has always been a progressive California Democrat.

Here are some of the costliest proposals she has previously supported while Senator:

Harris supported initiatives including a $15-per-hour nationwide minimum wage and rolling back important worker protections such as "right to work" laws. She has endorsed burdensome restrictions on workers in the “gig” economy and wants to require small Mom and Pop independent franchisees to shoulder the same oppressive regulatory and tax burdens as Fortune 500 companies.
The 21st Century SKILLS Act , introduced in June 2019 and which Vice President Harris supports, doubles down on the federal government’s failed approach to job training. Numerous studies have demonstrated that the literally dozens of federal job training programs do nothing to help unemployed or transitioning workers secure stable employment.
The proposal would cost $600 billion over ten years and impose a new set of regulations on federal child care centers.
Harris wanted to create a new tax-based housing subsidy for renters. This would only further increase housing prices and hold taxpayers responsible for yet another failed Big Government endeavor.
Harris sought to increase income tax rates on lower and middle class taxpayers through the repeal of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).
The proposal would increase federal payroll taxes by nearly 12 percent for households earning $100,000 or more and real wages would decline by nearly 4 percent due to the almost 20 percent increase in inflation since Biden-Harris took office.
As Senator she sought to increase taxes to 28 percent on offshore corporate income, which would have encouraged more corporate inversions.
Harris called for tax hikes and new layers of harsh regulatory burdens on America’s energy producers that produce the fossil fuels that account for over 80 percent of the energy Americans use every day. Her energy agenda would introduce a destructive carbon tax to fund Green New Deal policies.
Senator Harris supported raising the top marginal income tax rate on many of America’s most productive workers, to 39.6 percent from 37 percent.
She proposed legislation to create a new refundable cost-of-living tax credit that would be available to households with incomes as high as $80,000/year. A Penn Wharton study estimates that this credit would cost $3.1 trillion over ten years.
Harris also called for taxing capital gains at the same rates as ordinary income, which would have a chilling effect on investments and other retirement savings. She aspires to raise the corporate income tax to an uncompetitive rate of 35 percent, expand the death tax, and impose a new financial transaction tax on stock trades that would harm American families.

Health Care:

This plan was estimated to cost $33 trillion over the next decade and, not surprisingly, would require massive tax increases.
A single payer health care system, like Medicare for All, will put the federal government in control of 19 percent of our economy, limit access to health care providers, lead to longer wait times for treatment, and reduce access to new technologies and medication.
This plan called for abolishing private health insurance for 160 million Americans who receive private health insurance through their employer.
In 2019, then-Presidential candidate Harris rolled out her Medicare for All proposal, projected to cost $44 trillion over ten years, including $1.8 trillion to cover all health expenses for over 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.

Education :

The plan aimed to eliminate tuition and fees for all students attending two-year colleges and middle-class students at four-year public institutions.
Sen. Sanders estimated that his free education-for-all scheme would cost taxpayers $600 billion over the next decade and would be paid via a cryptic “tax on Wall Street.”
The plan would have covered any college expenses above a student’s expected family contribution and would have given priority to Pell Grant recipients.
There are no cost estimates available and the bill was reintroduced in 2023.

Cost of Harris-Walz Economic Plan:

Last month, Vice President Kamala Harris released a document outlining a number of proposals she would aim to enact if elected President: the so-called “ Agenda to Lower Costs for American Families .”

This plan stands to cost taxpayers nearly $1.7 trillion over the next decade:

Expanding the Child Tax Credit (CTC):

This would make the CTC fully refundable, increase the base credit from $2,000 to $3,000, and further increase the credit to $6,000 for children in their first year of life and $3,600 for other children under six years old.

Extending the enhanced Affordable Care Act Subsidies:

This would permanently extend the inflationary expansion of Obamacare premium tax credits. Remarkably, these credits would be available to some of our nation’s wealthiest households, including those with earnings up to $599,000.
Cost: $383 billion 10-year deficit impact (Congressional Budget Office)

Expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC):

This would make the credit available for the first time to workers who do not have child dependents.
Cost: $150 billion 10-year deficit impact (Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget)

Establishing a First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit for four years:

This would provide a tax credit of up to $25,000 to first-time homebuyers, further boosting demand for home ownership and lead to higher home prices.
Cost: $100 billion over the next decade (Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget)

Affordable housing provisions:

This would expand current corporate subsidies while neglecting the root causes of our housing crisis: overregulation, restrictive zoning laws, and debilitating taxes on structures.
Cost: About $100 billion 10-year deficit impact (Tax Foundation)

The Harris-Walz campaign has said that this economic package would be paid for through taxes on job creators, and that they support revenue raisers in the President’s FY25 budget. However, the campaign has not put forward specific offsets as a part of the “Agenda to Lower Costs for American Families.”

The Bottom Line:

Since the Biden-Harris Administration assumed office, the average family of four must pay an additional $17,169 per year, or $1,431 per month, to purchase the same goods and services. The Biden-Harris Administration’s track record of reckless spending continues to drive us down an unsustainable fiscal path. Kamala Harris’s proposals do nothing to ensure that future generations will not be burdened by out-of-control debt. America cannot afford a Harris Presidency.

Participants considered strategies to meet clean energy, permitting, and workforce requirements for developing large-scale AI datacenters and power infrastructure needed for advanced AI operations in the United States. At the roundtable, White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Bruce Reed, National Economic Advisor Lael Brainard, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi, Senior Advisor to the President for International Climate Policy John Podesta, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, and industry leaders committed to partnering closely to maintain American leadership in AI that will achieve shared national security, economic, and environmental goals. Developing and operating leading AI in the United States is vital for protecting national security and ensuring that AI systems are safe, secure, and trustworthy. Participants also discussed ways to create good paying jobs for workers, including roles for pipefitters and electrical workers, and keep energy costs low for consumers. The United States is the global leader in AI, and we are taking action to ensure future AI infrastructure creates jobs for American workers, and is built in the United States and powered by clean energy. To accelerate public-private collaboration in advancing U.S. leadership in AI, the Administration is announcing several new actions following today’s convening:

The White House is launching a new Task Force on AI Datacenter Infrastructure to coordinate policy across government. Led by the National Economic Council, National Security Council, and the White House Deputy Chief of Staff’s office, the interagency Task Force will provide streamlined coordination on policies to advance datacenter development operations in line with economic, national security, and environmental goals. The Task Force will work with AI infrastructure leaders to identify opportunities and work with agencies to ensure adequate resourcing, designate agency single points of contact, and properly prioritize AI datacenter development to reflect the importance of these projects to American national security and economic interests. Finally, the Task Force will build on recent work to identify existing authorities and areas where legislative action is needed to modify or strengthen federal authorities to support AI datacenter development.
The Administration will scale up technical assistance to Federal, state, and local authorities handling datacenter permitting. The Permitting Council will work with AI datacenter developers to set comprehensive timelines for Federal agency action and will allocate funds to agencies that accelerate evaluations for FAST-41 covered clean energy projects that support datacenters.
The Department of Energy (DOE) is creating an AI datacenter engagement team to leverage programs to support AI data center development. DOE has curated a suite of resources – including loans, grants, tax credits, and technical assistance – that can help datacenter owners and operators secure clean, reliable energy solutions. DOE is also planning a series of convenings with datacenter developers, clean energy solutions providers, grid operators, and other stakeholders to drive development of innovative solutions.
The Department of Energy will continue to share resources on repurposing closed coal sites with datacenter developers. Retired and retiring coal sites provide a unique opportunity for redevelopment of energy infrastructure that can power new data centers . Existing land and facilities at the power plant site can be repurposed, such as electricity infrastructure for connections to the grid. Combining site features with financial incentives available from Federal or state and local authorities can make attractive opportunities for project developers.
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will identify Nationwide Permits that can help expedite the construction of eligible AI datacenters and share that information with AI datacenter developers to expedite critical projects.
Industry leaders at today’s convening committed to enhance cooperation with policy makers and explore further solutions, through ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
Hyperscalers at today’s convening reaffirmed their commitments to achieving net zero carbon emissions and to procuring clean energy to power their operations .

Each of these steps advances significant work already undertaken by the Biden-Harris Administration to ensure the United States leads the way in responsible AI innovation and development, including through President Biden’s landmark 2023 Executive Order on AI . These actions will enable datacenters catalyzing the industries of the future to be built here in the United States by American workers.
