Accreditation – Hamdard University, Karachi
Venue: Hamdard University, Karachi
The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) peer review took place in Hamdard University, Karachi, campus including both Madinat al-Hikmah and City Campus from 11 June to 13 June 2019.
The PRT had detailed formal and informal discussions with the Prof. Dr. Syed Shabib Ul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Hamdard University, Prof. Dr. Kamran Naqi Khan, Dean HIMS and Mr. Rehan Shakoor, HoD, HIMS while reviewing the self-assessment report in detail. PRT also had the opportunity to discuss the overall vision, mission and strategy of HIMS and Hamdard University with the Vice Chancellor. PRT also met the faculty members and senior members of the administrative staff to understand how the school is addressing the various dimensions that are included in the NBEAC standards. The PRT also had the opportunity to meet students of BBA (Honors) and MBA programs and some alumni besides visiting various facilities like the library and computing laboratories. Also, PRT members sat through some class sessions and informally interacted with the students in the walkways and after classes. The PRT is thankful to the Dean, and the HIMS staff for preparing the visit schedule, providing all the logistical support and facilitating the smooth conduct of our visit.
The members of the peer review team (PRT) were Dr. Zahid Riaz (Associate Professor, Lahore School of Economics), Dr. Muhammad Tariq (Chairperson, Dept. of Management Sciences, BUITEMS), Dr. Arshad Khan (SVP, National Bank of Pakistan), Mr. Adil Amin Kazi (Assistant Professor, FAST_NU Islamabad), Ms. Sobia Shujaat (Assistant Professor, Bahria University Islamabad), Ms. Sania Tufail (Senior Program Manager-Accreditation, NBEAC).
