28+ Best Free Assignment Cover Page Formats for MS Word

What is an assignment cover page, key elements for a comprehensive front page.

  • Institution Details: Begin by prominently featuring the name of your school, college, or institute. This establishes credibility and provides context for your assignment.
  • Personal Information: Include your own name to indicate authorship and ownership of the assignment. This adds a personal touch and facilitates easy identification.
  • Assignment Title: Clearly state the title of your assignment, conveying its purpose and focus. A concise and informative title sets the tone for your work.
  • Course Information: Specify the relevant course title or code to indicate the academic context in which your assignment was completed. This assists in proper categorization and organization.
  • Instructor’s Name: Acknowledge the teacher or professor who will be evaluating your assignment by including their name. This demonstrates respect and professionalism.
  • Due Date: Clearly indicate the deadline or due date for the assignment submission. This ensures timely assessment and helps you stay organized.

What are the basic tips?

  • Font style : It is always in the best interest to use bold, simple, and clear text instead of using fancy text fonts and styles. This helps the reader understand things in a better way.  Moreover, the usage of pictures behind texts must be avoided as it creates poor visibility for the reader when reading the text printed on it.
  • Presentation: Presentation plays an important role in expressing what you need to convey to someone and how you need to communicate it. Presenting the title page in the most effective manner is essential as this leaves an impression on the teacher reading the assignment. It also acts as a decisive tool for the teacher whether or not he/ she interestingly goes through the whole document.
  • Spell Check: Before handing over the assignment, one should take a brief review of all the spelling and also look for any grammatical errors.
  • Avoid plagiarism: A student must always be honest in what he writes. He should avoid copying material or texts from anywhere.
  • Personal detail: One should never forget to mention his/her name. The font size used for writing the name must be bigger so that it makes the name visible to the teacher.

Advantages of an Impressive Assignment Cover Page

  • Showcasing Professionalism: By meticulously designing your cover page, you demonstrate a strong commitment to professionalism. This attention to detail reflects positively on your work ethic and sets you apart as a dedicated student.
  • Creating a Positive Impression: A well-crafted front page sets the tone for your assignment, capturing the attention of your teacher or professor. It establishes a positive first impression, arousing their interest and encouraging them to delve further into your work.
  • Enhancing Visual Appeal: A visually appealing cover page enhances the overall presentation of your assignment. With carefully chosen fonts, colors, and layouts, you create an engaging and aesthetically pleasing introduction that captivates the reader’s attention.
  • Communicating Pertinent Information: It provides a concise summary of essential details, such as the assignment title, your name, and the due date. This ensures clarity and facilitates seamless identification and organization of your work.
  • Reflecting a Professional Attitude: By dedicating time and effort to creating an impressive cover page, you exemplify a professional attitude towards your academic pursuits. This level of dedication and care leaves a lasting impression on your teacher or professor.

  • Choose Colors Wisely: Select colors that complement your assignment’s theme and evoke the desired emotions. Vibrant colors can grab attention, while muted tones create a sense of elegance. Maintain consistency with your assignment’s overall design and avoid using too many colors that may distract from the main message.
  • Opt for Legible Fonts: Use clear and readable fonts to enhance the accessibility and professionalism of your cover page. Avoid overly decorative or complex fonts that may hinder readability. Opt for fonts that align with your assignment’s tone and maintain consistency throughout the document.
  • Incorporate Relevant Graphics: Graphics can enhance the visual appeal of your cover page and reinforce the assignment’s subject matter. Choose images or icons that are directly related to the topic or convey the assignment’s main concept. Ensure that the graphics are high-quality and appropriately sized to maintain clarity.
  • Organize Information Effectively: Arrange the information in a logical and visually appealing manner. Use headings, subheadings, and bullet points to break down content and make it easier to read. Highlight key details such as the assignment title, your name, course information, and submission date.
  • Maintain Simplicity: While it’s important to make it visually appealing, avoid cluttering it with excessive elements. Keep the design clean and uncluttered, allowing the key information to stand out. Remember, simplicity often has a greater impact than complexity.
  • Preview and Proofread: Before finalizing, preview it to ensure that all elements are properly aligned and visually balanced. Proofread the content to eliminate any spelling or grammatical errors. A polished and error-free cover demonstrates your attention to detail and professionalism.

Assignment Tracker Template For Students (Google Sheets)

Assignment Tracker Template For Students (Google Sheets)

  • 6-minute read
  • 18th May 2023

If you’re a student searching for a way to keep your assignments organized, congratulate yourself for taking the time to set yourself up for success. Tracking your assignments is one of the most important steps you can take to help you stay on top of your schoolwork .

In this Writing Tips blog post, we’ll discuss why keeping an inventory of your assignments is important, go over a few popular ways to do so, and introduce you to our student assignment tracker, which is free for you to use.

Why Tracking Is Important

Keeping your assignments organized is essential for many reasons. First off, tracking your assignments enables you to keep abreast of deadlines. In addition to risking late submission penalties that may result in low grades, meeting deadlines can help develop your work ethic and increase productivity. Staying ahead of your deadlines also helps lower stress levels and promote a healthy study-life balance.

Second, keeping track of your assignments assists with time management by helping prioritize the order you complete your projects.

Third, keeping a list of your completed projects can help you stay motivated by recording your progress and seeing how far you’ve come.

Different Ways to Organize Your Assignments

There are many ways to organize your assignment, each with its pros and cons. Here are a few tried and true methods:

  • Sticky notes

Whether they are online or in real life , sticky notes are one of the most popular ways to bring attention to an important reminder. Sticky notes are a quick, easy, and effective tool to highlight time-sensitive reminders. However, they work best when used temporarily and sparingly and, therefore, are likely better used for the occasional can’t-miss deadline rather than for comprehensive assignment organization.

  • Phone calendar reminders

The use of cell phone calendar reminders is also a useful approach to alert you to an upcoming deadline. An advantage to this method is that reminders on your mobile device have a good chance of grabbing your attention no matter what activity you’re involved with.

On the downside, depending on how many assignments you’re juggling, too many notifications might be overwhelming and there won’t be as much space to log the details of the assignment (e.g., related textbook pages, length requirements) as you would have in a dedicated assignment tracking system.

  • Planners/apps

There are a multitude of physical planners and organization apps for students to help manage assignments and deadlines. Although some vow that physical planners reign superior and even increase focus and concentration , there is almost always a financial cost involved and the added necessity to carry around a sometimes weighty object (as well as remembering to bring it along with you).

Mobile organization apps come with a variety of features, including notifications sent to your phone, but may also require a financial investment (at least for the premium features) and generally will not provide substantial space to add details about your assignments.

  • Spreadsheets

With spreadsheets, what you lose in bells and whistles, you gain in straightforwardness and customizability – and they’re often free! Spreadsheets are easy to access from your laptop or phone and can provide you with enough space to include whatever information you need to complete your assignments.

There are templates available online for several different spreadsheet programs, or you can use our student assignment tracker for Google Sheets . We’ll show you how to use it in the next section.

How to Use Our Free Writing Tips Student Assignment Tracker

Follow this step-by-step guide to use our student assignment tracker for Google Sheets :

  • Click on this link to the student assignment tracker . After the prompt “Would you like to make a copy of Assignment Tracker Template ?”, click Make a copy .

Copy and paste additional assignment tracker boxes for any other subjects you’d like to track, and color code the labels.

3. Under each subject header, there are columns labeled for each assignment (e.g., Assignment A, Assignment B). Fill in the title of each of your assignments in one of these columns, and add additional columns if need be. Directly under the assignment title is a cell for you to fill in the due date for the assignment. Below the due date, fill in each task that needs to be accomplished to complete the assignment. In the final row of the tracker, you should select whether the status of your assignment is Not Started , In Progress , or Complete . Please see the example of a template that has been filled in (which is also available for viewing in the Example tab of the spreadsheet):

4. Finally, for an overview of all the assignments you have for each subject throughout the semester, fill out the assignment tracker in the Study Schedule tab. In this tracker, list the title of the assignment for each subject under the Assignment column, and then color code the weeks you plan to be working on each one. Add any additional columns or rows that you need. This overview is particularly helpful for time management throughout the semester.

How to Use OneDrive for School Assignments

Microsoft OneDrive allows you to organize your files, access them 24/7 from any device, and back them up. Learn how to use OneDrive for school assignments.

If you're a college or university student, cloud storage is a must. Keeping your work online means you won't lose your work, even if you run out of battery or forget your device at home. OneDrive has been a leader in cloud storage for a long time, and it continues to be a great choice for students.

Here are some ways you can use OneDrive to manage your school assignments.

Get OneDrive for Free

Microsoft Office apps on a mobile phone

First, you'll need to get OneDrive , if you don't have it already. If you have a Microsoft account, you already have access to OneDrive's free version. For seamless integration, you should get Microsoft 365 for free while you're at it.

Download: Microsoft OneDrive | Microsoft 365

Digitize Your Paper Notes

With the OneDrive mobile app, you can turn your handwritten notes into PDF files. Writing notes by hand helps you remember the material better, so this is a great feature for students.

To start, put your page of notes on a flat surface. It'll work better if the surface is darker than the paper. Next, open the OneDrive app on your phone and select your notes folder.

Tap the Plus ( + ) sign to upload a file, and then choose Scan from the options. When you're taking the picture, an outline will appear around the page. Don't worry if it's not perfect, because you can still adjust the cropping after you take the picture.

OneDrive also lets you optimize the picture for documents, whiteboard photos, and more. After you process one page, you can add more pages to the same file by tapping Add New .

This process turns your notes into a multipage PDF file. That way, you can keep all the notes for a lecture or textbook chapter in one file together. This is much better than navigating between multiple photos or single-page files.

Share Files Directly from OneDrive

Google no longer rules the world of easy file sharing. With OneDrive, all you have to do is right-click or long-tap a file and select share . This generates a sharing link that works right away. No access requests needed!

If your class uses Microsoft Teams, you can also submit files directly from OneDrive. When submitting work on Microsoft Teams, just tap Add Work and select OneDrive .

You can also share a file from a computer to a mobile device. Just right-click it in OneDrive, select send to and choose Bluetooth device . If the recipient's smartphone has Bluetooth enabled, they'll receive it right away. Right-clicking a file also gives you options to email a sharing link.

Related: How to Transfer Files Between Mac and Android Using Bluetooth

On mobile, you could also tap the ellipses ( ... ) under a file and select Share from the pop-up menu. This lets you send the file via Bluetooth to another phone. You could also select a messaging or social media app to send a share link.

The final benefit of sharing from OneDrive is you won't have to convert any formatting. You can store, edit, and share your .docx files without needing to convert them into a different file type.

Keep All Your Materials Organized on OneDrive

Person at rest using a Macbook

One challenge to school organization is the variety of files you need to keep. A single class might pile up with lecture notes, required reading, drafts, and more! It's best if you can keep them all in one place.

The simplest way is to use folders like you do in local storage. Make a top-level folder for each class. Then make three folders within each class folder. One for assignments , one for notes , and one for reading materials . Give each assignment its own folder within the Assignments folder.

Remember that you can store web pages on OneDrive too. Just save the page under the Webpage, complete file type. Then you can open it on desktop or mobile using your browser or HTML-viewing app.

Related: Key Tips for Managing and Organizing Your Computer Files

You can even connect related documents within an Office 365 file. For example, a Word document or PowerPoint.

Follow these steps to create a file link within an Office 365 program. First, select the text you want to link, choose the Link menu, and select OneDrive from the folder options.

Use Details to Avoid Losing Important Files

Viewing searchable details on a file in OneDrive

It's easy to find any file in OneDrive, even if you forgot the file name. Each file supports details like a title, category, subject, and tags. These are good for searching as well as organizing.

To add tags, first make sure the Details pane is visible. You can toggle it on and off in the View tab. You can also enable it by clicking the list icon in the corner of the window.

Next, click on any file, then use the Details pane to add tags, categories, and more. You can even add a summary description on PDFs and photos. This is useful for summarizing research materials.

OneDrive indexes all these items when searching. So even if you forgot the file name, you can still find it if you put related words in the details.

Attach OneDrive Files to Outlook Calendar

An Outlook student calendar showing an attachment imported from OneDrive

You can attach OneDrive files into your Outlook Calendar for a comprehensive planner. The files get attached directly to your events, and you can open them from the calendar.

The best way is with the “Connect OneDrive + Microsoft Outlook” integration from Zapier . You don't need any code to use it. This allows you to share and send files between OneDrive and your Outlook calendar.

Attaching files to your events can save you a lot of time. You could attach your draft for a group project to the meeting day. If you schedule time to work on an assignment, you could click into your draft directly from the event.

If your calendar connects to your OneDrive, you can act on commitments right away.

Store Sensitive Documents in the Vault

A laptop displaying a security symbol

OneDrive provides a password-protected vault for sensitive files. This makes an excellent place to drop your tuition or scholarship info or tax forms.

It's handy to have this in the same place as your other school stuff, because it makes it easier to remember. This way, you won't have to hunt through your entire storage space when you need them.

Once you enable the Vault , it's located in your top-level OneDrive folder called Files . To access it, you must set up a PIN. This is different from your Microsoft login.

Free OneDrive users can only store a few files in the Vault. But if you upgrade to a premium plan, you get expanded storage.

Breeze Through School With OneDrive

If you use OneDrive for your school needs, you'll never have to worry about converting file type or format. You can also easily share files with teachers, classmates, and your other devices. Lastly, you'll enjoy unparalleled organization and a robust search system.

Best of all, it only takes a few minutes to move your current setup into OneDrive. With all your stuff in one place, you can breeze through the school year!

Download assignments

  • In the Grade Center, access the assignment column's menu and select Assignment File Download .
  • On the Download Assignment page, select the student submissions to download -OR- select the check box in the header bar to choose all available submissions.

  • On the next Download Assignment page, select the Download assignments now link. A pop-up window displays instructions for what to do with the file.
  • In the pop-up window, select Save File and select OK .
  • Browse to the location where you want to download the file and select Save .
  • To return to the Grade Center, select OK on the Download Assignment page.

When you use the download function, usernames are included automatically in the file names for easy identification. But, files you download one by one from the Grade Assignment page won't include usernames. To avoid confusion, you can specify that students use a detailed file name that includes their last names or their usernames when they submit assignments.

If a student added an attachment, the downloaded ZIP file may contain two files for each student: the attached file and a TXT file produced by the Grade Center. The TXT file contains information about the submission and student comments. Both files have the student's username included in the file name for easy identification.

The Assignment File Cleanup function allows you to select students and delete files associated with their submissions. This function is available from the assignment column's menu in the Grade Center.

Grade downloaded assignments

After you review submissions offline and assign grades, you can provide grades and comments in the Grade Center. Access the assignment cell's menu and select View Grade Details . On the Grade Details page, select Edit Grade . You can use the Insert File function in the editor to add files. Or, select View Attempt to see the student's work in the Submission and Comments sections as you add a grade, comments, and files.

Alternatively, you can type grades directly in the Grade Center cells. If you type a grade for the first attempt for an assignment that you have allowed two attempts for, this grade is called an override grade . If you go on to grade the second attempt from the Grade Assignment page, the override grade still supersedes the second attempt grade you assign. So, consider the ramifications before you assign grades directly in Grade Center cells for assignments.

If a student accidentally submits the wrong file, do you give an automatic '0?'

I have a policy on my syllabus that states that if a student uploads a wrong, corrupt, or blank file for an assignment, then they will receive a '0.' I'm going through a grade dispute right now with a student (after I already submitted grades, of course!), and I keep wondering if the policy is too harsh. Do you email the student asking them to send you the correct file?

DePaul University fires biology professor over assignment about Israel-Hamas war

Anne d’aquino’s assignment ‘negatively affected the learning environment,’ chicago school says.

Rep. Nancy Mace on anti-Israel protests: 'This isn't 1940's Germany'

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C. weighs in on President Biden's trip to France, the administration urging Hamas to accept a cease-fire deal with Israel and her expectations for the G-7 summit.

DePaul University says it has fired a part-time biology professor after she gave an optional assignment to students last month asking them to write about the impact of "genocide in Gaza on human health and biology."

An investigation into the assignment offered by Anne d’Aquino "found it had negatively affected the learning environment by introducing extraneous political material that was outside the scope of the academic subject as outlined in the curriculum," according to the school.

"The class was provided a new instructor, and the faculty member has been released from their appointment as a part-time faculty member," DePaul University said in a statement to The Associated Press, adding that some students "expressed significant concern" about politics in a science class on how microorganisms cause disease.

The Chicago-based school also said an email with the assignment showed support for people "resisting the normalization of ethnic cleansing."

Around the same time, DePaul administrators were grappling with an anti-Israel encampment on campus.

D’Aquino is appealing the decision, saying during a student demonstration on campus in support of her last Thursday, "My termination was a breach of my academic freedom and another example of this administration’s efforts to twist any discussions of Palestine and Palestinian liberation language into false claims of antisemitism."

D’Aquino was teaching Health 194, Human Pathogens and Defense in early May, according to CBS Chicago.

In its online academic catalog, DePaul describes the course as introducing students "to the diverse microorganisms that cause significant disease within the human population."

"The biological basis of infectious disease will be explored with a focus on the mechanisms of viral and bacterial infection and spread," the course description adds. "The principles behind tools used combat infection will be examined, including antiseptics, antibiotics/antivirals, and vaccination."

(AP/Abdel Kareem Hana)

DePaul University said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Monday that "The faculty member has initiated an appeal, as is her right under the Faculty Handbook" and "That process is currently underway and will be completed soon."

D’Aquino did not immediately respond Monday to a request for comment from Fox News Digital, but she said last week at the rally, "My case is a reminder that if faculty and staff are not protected from the swift and severe reprimand of this university, students most certainly are not either."

"The assignment was, in fact, related to the course and its objectives," D'Aquino also said. Schools & Providers

Scholarships, ways to give, research & reports.

Governor DeSantis on May 9, 2024, signed into law several critical changes to Florida’s scholarship programs. The following changes take effect July 1, 2024.

GENERAL FAQ

Q. I’m an active-duty military and currently live out of state, but I’ve been assigned to a base in Florida and plan to move soon. Are my children eligible for a scholarship? A. Yes. If you are active duty and have been given permanent change of station orders to Florida you will be eligible for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO), Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA), Personalized Education Program (PEP), or Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) before you make your move. You can apply with your base address or new Florida home address (if you have one) and upload your permanent change of station paperwork with your application.

Q. Can I apply for more than one scholarship at a time for my child? A. No. Law changes prohibit applying for more than one private school or parent-directed scholarship at a time for your student. You can apply for a new scholarship once you’ve been denied or have declined an awarded scholarship. However, you may apply for both the Transportation Stipend and New Worlds Scholarship Account if your student qualifies.

Q. How can I decline a scholarship that I’ve applied for? A. You can use this form here to decline a scholarship .

Q. My student was attending a private school on scholarship, but now we attend a public school. What happened to my scholarship? Am I eligible for anything else? A. If you had an FTC, FES-EO, FES-UA, PEP, or Hope scholarship and enrolled in a public school, your scholarship will end, and the remaining funds will be returned to the state. As a public-school student, you may be eligible for a New Worlds Scholarship Account or a Transportation Stipend.

Q. I was awarded a FES-EO or FTC scholarship for my student, but we now want the FES-UA scholarship instead. How do I apply? A. You will need to decline the scholarship you were awarded and apply for the scholarship you want as a new student. You can decline a scholarship using this form here.

Q. What is the scholarship value for my county? A. Official scholarship values will be posted once the new budget is approved by the governor.

FTC and FES-EO

Q. What happens if my student is not enrolled in a private school for 30 days or more? A. Students who received a funded scholarship but are not enrolled in an eligible private school for 30 days will lose scholarship eligibility and all funds will be returned to the state. The same applies if a student enrolls in a public school during the school year in which they receive a scholarship.

Q. I’m an active-duty military and currently live out of state, but I’ve been assigned to a base in Florida and plan to move soon. Are my children eligible for a scholarship? A. Yes. If you are on active duty and have been given a permanent change of station orders to Florida, you will be granted eligibility for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA), Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO), Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC), or the Personalized Education Program (PEP).

Q. I applied for a FES-EO scholarship. Can I apply for another scholarship as a backup? A. No, you can only apply for one private school or parent-directed scholarship at a time.

Q. If I unenroll my student from a private school, how long do I have to choose another private school? A. You have 30 days to enroll your student in a new private school. If you have not enrolled your student within 30 days your remaining scholarship funds will be returned to the state.

With recently passed legislation, the following will go into effect on July 1, 2024, if signed by the Governor:

  • Active-duty members of the U.S. military may apply for a private school scholarship as soon as they receive permanent change of duty station orders to Florida.
  • The Hope Scholarship, which was created to support families whose K-12 students have experienced bullying, will merge with the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) and Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) programs. Families whose students benefited from the Hope Scholarship for the 2023-24 school year will now apply through the FTC/FES-EO programs for the 2024-25 school year and will be processed as a renewal student. New families interested in the Hope Scholarship, will now also apply through the FTC/FES-EO programs for the 2024-25 school year.

How does it work.

Families need to complete an application through Step Up For Students. Once awarded a scholarship, work with your selected participating private school to enroll your student through the Step Up For Students EMA platform. You will be notified when it is time to log into your account to approve scholarship funds that will be issued directly to your school electronically.

  • Instructional material
  • Tuition for full-time or part-time education at an eligible postsecondary educational institution or approved apprenticeship program
  • Fees for nationally standardized norm-referenced tests and other assessments
  • Contracted services provided by a public school or school district
  • An approved online course
  • Tuition as a private pay student at Florida Virtual School,

Superintendent Files Restraining Order Against Dad Who Stormed Stage at Graduation

Scroll and mortarboard

A Wisconsin father was cited for disorderly conduct after he allegedly rushed a Black superintendent at his daughter’s high school graduation last week in a bid to prevent the two from shaking hands—prompting outrage on social media and in the local community.

The incident occurred at the Baraboo High School graduation Friday, when a parent named Matthew Eddy walked up the stairs to the stage, Baraboo Police Department spokesperson Capt. Ryan La Broscian told TIME in an email. Viral video of the incident shows that an unnamed student had been crossing the stage to receive her diploma and started shaking hands with several school district officials when Eddy grabbed district Superintendent Rainey Briggs by his arm and pushed him away.

“That’s my daughter,” Eddy can be heard saying in the video.

“You better get up off me man. Get away from me bro,” Briggs can be heard saying in response in the video. The crowd can be heard shouting and booing.

There has been no official confirmation that the unnamed student crossing the stage is Eddy’s daughter, but the video shows the student looking visibly stunned and upset by Eddy’s actions.

The viral video sparked outrage on social media, with many users on X calling Eddy’s actions racist , including Wisconsin State Rep. Francesca Hong, who said on X that “no one should have to endure this type of gross & racist conduct.”

A school resource officer who was in the room responded to the incident, along with two off-duty officers who were also present, School District of Baraboo spokesperson Hailey Wagner said in an emailed statement.

After an investigation, Eddy was issued a criminal citation for disorderly conduct, La Broscian said. The charge was referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office. With a criminal citation issued, Eddy would have to appear in court, La Broscian added.

Briggs filed a restraining order against Eddy, Wagner told TIME. A temporary restraining order against Eddy was granted Monday, according to local court records . A hearing is set for June 14.

Eddy did not respond to TIME’s request for comment.

Wagner said that “the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community members is a top priority” for the school district.

“The School District of Baraboo is taking this incident very seriously and are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation,” Wagner said in the statement. “Our primary focus remains on celebrating the achievements of our graduates. We want to ensure that the significance of this milestone and the hard work of our students are not overshadowed by this unfortunate event.”

The School District of Baraboo School Board condemned Eddy’s actions, though the board didn’t name him in its statement.

“We understand that there are many folks who care deeply about the education of students, and who come together with different understandings and ideas about how best to provide that education. We value the civil discourse that allows us to have conversations about those ideas; that’s at the cornerstone of our democracy,” the school board said in a statement. “What we do not condone is engaging in threatening, intimidating, or physically harming behaviors against anyone in our School District community.”

“No employee of the School District of Baraboo should fear for their physical safety when fulfilling their job duties or at any other time,” the board continued. “That this adult felt emboldened to behave in this way in front of hundreds of students and other adults should deeply trouble us all; this type of behavior will not be tolerated. The School District of Baraboo Board of Education condemns such actions and asks the community to take a stand and speak out against this type of behavior that threatens the fabric of our democracy.”

Baraboo High School has been the site of controversy in the past—in 2018, a parent posted a photo online that showed several current and former students doing the Nazi salute . The superintendent at the time said that the district was “not in a position to punish the students for their actions” because of their First Amendment rights, The New York Times reported.
