There are only three books – Durva Bhag 1, Vasant Bhag 1 aur Baal Ram Katha in class 6 Hindi Syllabus for academic session 2024-25. Baal Ram Katha is supplementary reader book.

पाठ १: मातृभूमि

मातृभूमि कविता भारत देश की प्राकृतिक सुंदरता, धार्मिक महत्व और ऐतिहासिक गौरव का वर्णन करती है। कवि अपनी मातृभूमि की प्रशंसा करते हुए उसके विभिन्न पहलुओं को उजागर करता है। हिमालय की ऊँचाई, गंगा और यमुना नदियों की पवित्रता, देश की धार्मिक विरासत, और प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य जैसे तत्वों को कवि ने अपनी कविता में बड़े ही भावुक तरीके से प्रस्तुत किया है।

गोल पाठ एक प्रसिद्ध हॉकी खिलाड़ी मेजर ध्यानचंद कि कहानी है। वे तीन बार ओलम्पिक के स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाली भारतीय हॉकी टीम के सदस्य थे। उन्होंने बताया है कि कैसे उन्होंने खेल भावना और लगन से हॉकी में महारत हासिल की।

उन्होंने एक घटना का जिक्र किया है जिसमें एक प्रतिद्वंद्वी ने उन्हें चोट पहुंचाई थी, लेकिन उन्होंने शांति से बदला लिया और प्रतिद्वंद्वी को खेल भावना का महत्व समझाया। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि कैसे उन्होंने ओलंपिक में भारत के लिए स्वर्ण पदक जीता और उन्हें “हॉकी का जादूगर” कहा जाने लगा।

पाठ ३: पहली बूँद

“पहली बूँद” कविता वर्षा ऋतु के आगमन का एक उत्सवपूर्ण चित्रण है। कवि ने पहली बारिश की बूँद को धरती पर जीवन का संचार करने वाली एक अमृत तुल्य बूँद के रूप में चित्रित किया है। यह बूँद सूखी धरती को नया जीवन देती है और प्रकृति को पुनर्जीवित करती है। कवि ने बारिश के मौसम के आने से पहले की प्रकृति की पीड़ा और बारिश के आगमन के बाद प्रकृति की खुशी को बहुत ही सुंदर शब्दों में व्यक्त किया है।

पाठ ४: हार की जीत

यह कहानी एक साधु बाबा भारती और एक डाकू खड्गसिंह के बीच घोड़े को लेकर होने वाली घटना के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। बाबा भारती अपने घोड़े सुलतान से बेहद प्रेम करते थे और उसे अपना सबकुछ मानते थे। खड्गसिंह, जो एक कुख्यात डाकू था, सुलतान की खूबसूरती और चाल से मुग्ध हो जाता है और उसे हासिल करने की ठान लेता है।

खड्गसिंह घोड़ा चुरा ले जाता है। बाबा भारती को इस घटना से बहुत दुख होता है लेकिन फिर भी वह खड्गसिंह से शिकायत नहीं करते। इसके बजाय, वे खड्गसिंह से कहते हैं कि इस घटना को किसी को ना बताए ताकि लोगों का विश्वास गरीबों पर से ना उठ जाए।

खड्गसिंह बाबा भारती की इस बात से बहुत प्रभावित होता है और घोड़ा वापस लौटा देता है। अंत में, दोनों ही व्यक्ति एक-दूसरे के प्रति सम्मान और प्रशंसा का भाव रखते हैं।

पाठ ५: रहीम के दोहे

• रहीम कहते हैं कि बड़ी या महंगी वस्तु हाथ लगने पर छोटी या सस्ती वस्तु का मूल्य कम नहीं हो जाता। हर वस्तु का अपना महत्त्व होता है। जैसे तलवार से बड़े काम होते हैं, वैसे ही छोटी सी सुई भी कई बार बड़े काम आ जाती है।
• पेड़ अपने फल नहीं खाता और नदी अपना पानी नहीं पीती। रहीम कहते हैं कि बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति धन को केवल अपने काम के लिए जमा करता है।
• रहीम कहते हैं कि प्रेम के धागे को कभी मत तोड़ो, क्योंकि टूटा हुआ धागा फिर कभी पहले जैसा नहीं जुड़ता, जुड़ेगा तो गांठ लग जाएगी।

पाठ ६: मेरी माँ

यह कहानी रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल द्वारा अपनी माता के प्रति अगाध प्रेम और कृतज्ञता का भाव व्यक्त करती है। रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल ने अपनी माता को एक देवी के समान बताया है जिन्होंने न केवल उनका पालन-पोषण किया बल्कि उन्हें एक अच्छे इंसान और देशभक्त बनाने में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। माता ने अपने पुत्र को हमेशा सत्य और धर्म का मार्ग दिखाया और उन्हें देश सेवा के लिए प्रेरित किया। लेखक ने अपनी माता के त्याग, समर्पण और प्रेम को शब्दों में बयां करने की कोशिश की है।

पाठ ७: जलाते चलो

‘जलाते चलो’ कविता में कवि द्वारिका प्रसाद माहेश्वरी ने प्रेम और स्नेह के महत्व को रेखांकित किया है। उन्होंने बताया है कि विज्ञान की शक्ति के बावजूद भी, स्नेह और प्रेम के बिना अंधकार को मिटाना संभव नहीं है। हमें स्नेह और प्रेम के दीयों को निरंतर जलाते रहना चाहिए ताकि किसी दिन अंधकार का अंत हो सके और सवेरा हो सके।

पाठ ८: सत्रिया और बिहू नृत्य

यह कहानी एक अंग्रेजी लड़की एंजेला के बारे में है जो अपनी माँ के साथ असम की यात्रा पर जाती है। उसकी माँ असम के नृत्य पर एक डॉक्यूमेंट्री बना रही हैं। असम पहुंचकर एंजेला को बिहू और सत्रिया जैसे नृत्यों के बारे में पता चलता है। वह इन नृत्यों से बहुत प्रभावित होती है और खुद भी नृत्य सीखने की कोशिश करती है।

इस यात्रा के दौरान एंजेला को असम की संस्कृति, लोगों और उनके जीवन के बारे में बहुत कुछ जानने का मौका मिलता है। असम की यात्रा के बाद एंजेला के जीवन में एक बड़ा बदलाव आता है और वह नृत्य के प्रति और भी गहरा लगाव महसूस करती है।

पाठ ९: मैया मैं नहिं माखन खायो

श्यामसुन्दर बोले- `मैया ! मैंने मक्खन नहीं खाया है । सुबह होते ही गायों के पीछे मुझे भेज देती हो।चार पहर भटकने के बाद साँझ होने पर वापस आता हूँ।मैं छोटा बालक हूँ मेरी बाहें छोटी हैं, मैं छींके तक कैसे पहुँच सकता हूँ? ये सब सखा मेरे से बैर रखते हैं, इन्होंने मक्खन जबऱन मेरे मुख में लिपटा दिया।

माँ तू मन की बड़ी भोली है, इनकी बातों में आ गई। तेरे दिल में जरूर कोई भेद है,जो मुझे पराया समझ कर मुझ पर संदेह कर रही हो। ये ले, अपनी लाठी और कम्बल ले ले, तूने मुझे बहुत नाच नचा लिया है। सूरदास जी कहते हैं कि प्रभु ने अपनी बातों से माता के मन को मोहित कर लिया. माता यशोदा ने मुसकराकर श्यामसुन्दर को गले लगा लिया।

पाठ १०: परीक्षा

यह कहानी एक रियासत के दीवान की नियुक्ति की प्रक्रिया को दर्शाती है। बूढ़े हो चुके दीवान सरदार सुजानसिंह ने अपना पद छोड़ने का फैसला किया और एक नए दीवान की खोज शुरू हुई। रियासत में दीवान के पद के लिए विज्ञापन निकला और देश भर से लोग आवेदन करने आए।

सभी उम्मीदवारों को एक महीने तक रहने और अपनी योग्यता दिखाने का मौका दिया गया। इस दौरान सभी ने खुद को सबसे अच्छा दिखाने की कोशिश की। लेकिन, एक दिन जब सभी उम्मीदवार हॉकी खेल रहे थे, एक किसान की गाड़ी दलदल में फंस गई। अधिकांश उम्मीदवारों ने किसान की मदद करने के बजाय उसे अनदेखा कर दिया।

लेकिन, एक युवक ने किसान की मदद की और उसकी गाड़ी को दलदल से बाहर निकाला। यही युवक बाद में रियासत का नया दीवान बना। दरअसल, यह युवक खुद सरदार सुजानसिंह थे। उन्होंने इस तरीके से सबसे योग्य उम्मीदवार का चयन किया।

पाठ ११: चेतक की वीरता

यह कविता महाराणा प्रताप के घोड़े चेतक की वीरता का बखान करती है। कवि ने चेतक की तुलना हवा से की है जो राणा प्रताप के साथ युद्ध भूमि में उड़ता हुआ लगता था। चेतक की गति इतनी तेज थी कि वह युद्ध के मैदान में कहीं भी पहुंच जाता था। वह राणा प्रताप के लिए एक वफादार साथी था और युद्ध में राणा प्रताप की जान बचाने में कई बार सफल रहा। कवि ने चेतक की तुलना बादल से भी की है जो युद्ध के मैदान में शत्रु सेना पर टूट पड़ा। कवि ने चेतक के साहस और बहादुरी का वर्णन बहुत ही मार्मिक ढंग से किया है।

पाठ १२: हिंद महासागर में छोटा-सा हिंदुस्तान

यह यात्रा वृत्तांत लेखक के मॉरीशस दौरे का विवरण है। इसमें लेखक ने नैरोबी के नेशनल पार्क में सिंहों को देखने का अपना अनुभव विस्तार से बताया है। उन्होंने सिंहों के शिकार की प्रवृत्ति और हिरणों के बचाव के प्रयासों का भी वर्णन किया है। इसके बाद, लेखक मॉरीशस पहुंचते हैं और वहाँ की भारतीय संस्कृति और लोगों के बारे में विस्तार से बताते हैं। उन्होंने मॉरीशस में हिंदू धर्म और त्योहारों, खासकर शिवरात्रि के उत्सव का भी वर्णन किया है।

पाठ १३: पेड़ की बात

Chapter 2: Jungle Aur Janakpur

Chapter 2 in NCERT books for class 6 Hindi begins with Maharishi Vishwamitra proceeding towards the jungle along with Ram and Laxman. It describes the swayamvara through which Lord Ram and Sita, the princess of Mithila get married.

Chapter 3: Do Vardaan
