During summer, the sun shines brightly, and the temperature can get very high. This is the time when we see clear blue skies and feel the hot wind.

Summer is a great time for outdoor activities like swimming, camping, and playing sports. Many people also enjoy eating ice-cream and drinking cold drinks to beat the heat.

250 Words Essay on Summer Season

As the Earth orbits the Sun, it experiences a cyclical change in climate, leading to the four distinct seasons we experience. One of these, the summer season, is a period of extended daylight and warmth.

Symbol of Vitality

Summer is often associated with vitality and vigor, as life seems to burst forth in all corners of the natural world. The longer daylight hours provide more time for outdoor activities and social gatherings, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

Ecological Significance

From an ecological perspective, summer is a time of abundance. The increased sunlight contributes to higher rates of photosynthesis, leading to lush, green landscapes. This abundance of plant life provides food for herbivores, which in turn supports a diverse array of predators.

Human Perspective

For humans, summer often represents a break from routine, particularly for students who enjoy their longest vacation during this season. It’s a time for leisure, travel, and exploration. However, it’s also a time when we must grapple with the challenges of climate change. With each passing year, summers are becoming hotter, leading to heatwaves, droughts, and wildfires.

In conclusion, the summer season is a complex interplay of light, life, and warmth. It’s a time of joy and challenge, of relaxation and vigilance. As we bask in the sunlight, let us not forget our responsibility to safeguard this precious season for future generations.

500 Words Essay on Summer Season

Introduction to the summer season.

Summer, one of the four temperate seasons, is characterized by long days and short nights. It is the hottest period of the year, typically stretching from June to August in the northern hemisphere and December to February in the southern hemisphere. Summer is not just a season; it is a symbol of growth, vitality, and cultural activities.

The Physicality of Summer

Summer is a result of the Earth’s axial tilt, which causes the Sun’s rays to hit the Earth at a more direct angle, leading to increased temperatures. The shift from spring to summer is a transition from moderate warmth to intense heat, often causing discomfort due to high temperatures. However, summer also brings with it a unique vibrancy, as nature blossoms in response to the abundant sunlight.

The Ecological Impact of Summer

Summer has a profound impact on the ecology of our planet. It is a season of growth and reproduction for many species. Plants, for instance, undergo photosynthesis at an accelerated rate due to increased sunlight, leading to a surge in oxygen production. This season also triggers migration patterns in various animal species, as they move to cooler regions to escape the heat.

Cultural Significance of Summer

Summer is culturally significant in various societies around the world. It is often associated with freedom and relaxation, as it coincides with school holidays in many countries. Summer is a time for outdoor activities such as swimming, camping, and barbecuing. Festivals and events, such as music festivals and Independence Day celebrations, are also common during this season.

Implications of Climate Change on Summer

In the context of climate change, summers are becoming hotter and longer. This has serious implications for human health, agriculture, and wildlife. Heatwaves can lead to heat exhaustion and heatstroke, which can be fatal. Extreme heat can also exacerbate drought conditions, affecting crop yields and leading to water scarcity. These changes can disrupt ecosystems, altering migration patterns and threatening species survival.

Conclusion: Embracing and Mitigating Summer

In conclusion, summer is a season of contrast. On one hand, it brings growth, vitality, and cultural activities; on the other, it presents challenges such as extreme heat and potential ecological disruption. As we continue to experience the effects of climate change, it is more important than ever to understand and mitigate the impacts of summer. This involves adopting sustainable practices, such as water conservation and planting trees, to help cool our cities and protect our ecosystems. Despite its challenges, summer remains a season to be celebrated, a testament to the Earth’s enduring rhythms and our capacity to adapt and thrive in changing conditions.

Essay On ‘My Favourite Season’ For Class 1, 2 And 3 Kids

Shaili Contractor

Key Points to Remember When Writing an Essay on ‘My Favourite Season’ for Primary Classes

10 lines on ‘my favourite season is summer’ in english, short essay on ‘my favourite season is winter’ in english, long essay on ‘my favourite season is monsoon’, what will your child learn from the essay on ‘my favourite season’.

India has four main seasons. Children enjoy different aspects of each season as they explore the little world around them. Everyone has a favourite season for multiple reasons. If you ask your little one what their favourite season is, they will share their thoughts with you excitedly, with reasons just as adorable as they are. Isn’t a child’s perspective of the world just wonderful! Kids grow up observing nature and their surroundings. Schools encourage them to give words to their observations by writing essays. ‘My Favourite Season’ is a common essay topic where children can share their knowledge along with their own experiences to state reasons for which season they like the most. But writing an essay can be easier said than done for some kids. If your child of class 1, 2 or 3 finds it difficult to write this composition, here are some tips that will help them write a beautiful essay on their favourite season and impress everyone!

Before you start writing a paragraph on your favourite season, think about what you want to express the most in the essay. Here are some tips:

  • Short one-line essays on seasons can focus on simple facts about the season, like the weather.
  • Express your thoughts and how the seasons make you feel, and tie it to why it is your favourite.
  • When writing longer essays about seasons, try to gather some general knowledge and facts.
  • Weave these facts with your reasons for it being the best season.
  • Touch briefly upon basic concepts and write them articulately to form a long essay.

Summer is undoubtedly a fun time for children as they get a long vacation and holiday from school. Summer, therefore is a favourite season for many children. It is quite an easy topic and a lot of fun to write, and children can use plenty of imagination and write from their knowledge and experience. Here are a few lines about the summer season, which will make essay writing easy for children of classes 1 and 2:

  • Summer is my favourite season as it is time for long holidays from school.
  • We can stay at home all day and play with friends and cousins.
  • Summer is also a hot season, but I like it because it is bright and beautiful all around.
  • I enjoy having cool drinks and eating ice creams during the hot summer days.
  • Summers are also the season when we get mangoes. They are my favourite fruit!
  • I always go for a trip during summer with my family to the coastal cities.
  • After the trip, I join summer camps to learn art and craft and make new friends.
  • My mom takes me to swimming classes every evening during summer.
  • I enjoy swimming and all the fun activities I do during summer.
  • Every day during summer is a fun day!

Winter season is the time when children enjoy the cool weather. Moreover, winters are also a festive time when children enjoy receiving gifts and having a good time with family. Many children have winter as their favourite season. When writing an essay about winter as their favourite season, students need to write some facts and weave them into a good story. Here is an example of an essay on ‘My Favourite Season is Winter’:

Every year we go through a cycle of different seasons. I like all the seasons, but my favourite is winter. Winter in India starts around November and ends by the last week of February. The coldest months are December and January. I still like winter because the skies are clear and beautiful every day during this season. I especially like standing in the sunlight every morning and enjoying the warmth while the weather is still cold. It is fun to see the water vapour from our breath when we exhale or speak on cold winter mornings.

Since I live in a relatively warmer part of the country, winters here are mild and enjoyable. Some of my friends who come from the North of the country tell me that it is very chilly and snowy during the winter season. Some day, I want to take a trip to the mountains during winter to experience the cold and make a snowman. Winter is also my favourite season because it is time for Christmas, when I enjoy delicious treats at home and get many presents. Winter ends with spring which is my second favourite season.

Monsoons are a fun time when children enjoy playing in the rain, floating paper boats in rainwater, and enjoy the fresh breezy weather of the season. It is no wonder that monsoons are a favourite season for many children. Let us guide them to write a long essay about their favourite season. They can start with a plan about what to include in the essay. Once they have their thoughts and ideas ready, they can decide how to start the narrative in an engaging way. Here is an example of how to write an essay on monsoons:

The rainy season is my favourite season of all the four seasons we experience here in India. It starts during the first week of June and extends till the last week of October. I love this season because it begins right after the hot summers, and I think it is a much-needed relief from the scorching heat we experience for three months. The rainy season is also called the monsoon.

Apart from the heat relief, the onset of monsoon is very important for the rainforests in the Western Ghats. It is also essential for farmers inland, who wait for the rainwater throughout the year. When our schools open after the summer vacation, we go back and sit comfortably in the classroom in the pleasantly cool weather of the rainy season. Some of my friends think it becomes dull after the bright sunshine of the summers, but I feel it is the best season as we see rain and sunshine together. Monsoon evenings are especially beautiful as we can see the sun through the rain clouds passing by. We may also get to see a rainbow in the sky if we are lucky.

The rainy season is also very important for our country as it is the most essential source of fresh water. The continuous period of rains fills up the lakes and rivers of the country and recharges the groundwater. Farmers plant major crops such as rice during the monsoon. We also store water in the reservoirs for use until the next monsoon. The greenery that follows the rainy season is my favourite aspect of the season. All the plants and flowers in the city bloom during the monsoon. The dry patches of land become full of greenery that is very pleasant to the eyes.

My Favorite Season is an interesting topic for children as they get to explore their ideas and imagination. Your child will think about the different seasons and learn more about them. It will build their knowledge about the seasons and also help them articulate why they like one particular season the best. By writing about the seasons, they will also understand the delicate balance of the ecosystem and learn the importance of maintaining it. Writing about their favourite season can be a little tricky for students in the lower grades, but it will teach them how to gather facts, make observations, draw from their own experiences and write creatively.

Summer Season – Essay 2

Summer season is one of the four seasons that occur on the Earth. It is the hottest of all the season and comes after spring leading to autumn. Usually, it starts from March, and extends till late September. The beginning of Holi usually marks the onset on the Summer season.

The sun rays glisten like powdered gold and the world smells of joy. It ends with the onset of monsoons and heavy rains. Summers brings about different kind of imagery in the mind’s eye. Summer means joy; summer means warmth, summers means blossoms.

Science of Summer Season

Summer season is caused because of the tilt of the earth. These tilt was supposedly caused because of an asteroid hitting the earth and slanting it 23.5 degrees away from its axis. On the course of revolution of the earth, when the tilted side is closer to the Sun, we experience summer, marked by a significant surge in the atmospheric temperature.

During this period of equinox; the Sun positions itself directly over the Equator. The days become longer while shortening the nights. This season also accommodates the longest day on the year (longest duration of daylight from sunrise to sunset).

Inconveniences during summer season

summer season is one of the greatest of all seasons and gives us immense avenues of enjoyment. However, just like everything in the world, it too has a few disadvantages.

  • Summer season being the warmest of all seasons, brings with it various warm and dry local winds like ‘Loo’ which is extremely harmful for children and adults and can induce sickness and tiredness.
  • Because of surging temperatures coupled with the ill effects global warming , surface temperatures often go beyond tolerable crossing over 50 degree centigrade in some parts of India. Summer season is my favourite season of all four seasons. It is related to numerous memories of my childhood and each year during summer; all those memories come back to me in a magically nostalgic experience that cannot be described by words.

No tongue in the world has words with the audacity to be able to enumerate those joyous Summer afternoons of playing with friends; those tiring sweaty days that ended with cold sugary drinks; those lazy warm afternoons that made us sit indoors and drool on storybooks; jumping into the cold water pond with friends for bathing; those long evenings of fishing with father and cursing the fishing for not picking the line; all of these experiences is what that has brought this bright sunny season closest to my heart.

Every summer of my life is clearly etched in my memory and each of these passing summers keep me anticipated for the next year.To end, I would use these marvelous words of Neruda which aptly describes summer:

“ Green was the silence, wet was the light;  the month of June trembled like a butterfly. ”

The land of India experiences Spring, Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, and Winter. Right after the gentle breeze and pleasantness of the spring season, we are faced with the summer season. Lasting from April to June, summer is the hottest season, especially in places closer to the earth’s equator. The two sides of the earth are tilted towards the sun and away from the sun, and thus experience summer and winter accordingly.

Indian summers are scorching, and all parts of the country come face to face with extremely hot days. Another feature of the Indian summer is the blowing of a hot wind called loo. And if it couldn’t get any more unbearable, the days are longer during the summer and the nights shorter!

Essay on Summer Season

To get relief from the heat, people make use of fans, coolers, and air conditioners. Cotton clothes provide comfort if you are going out during the day in the sun.

Sweet things to enjoy

The temperature is at its highest during the summer season. However, people do their best to enjoy themselves despite the heat.

The summer season sees a spike in cold drinks, lemonade, juices, and most of all, ice creams. Various ice-cream sellers can be seen on the roads as well as in shops and malls. There is also a variety of fresh fruit juices that are sold in the summer season. These can prove to be an absolute treat.

Other than ice-creams and juices, the summer season also brings a variety of vegetables and fruits such as cucumber, jackfruits, lichee, watermelon, etc. These can be enjoyed as such or made into juices.

School children tend to enjoy summers a lot more than others because of the summer vacations. They can go to summer camps or vacations.

Ways to tolerate the Summer heat

Going out on a summer day can seem extremely difficult, especially in the afternoons. One can easily be exposed to the sun and get a heat stroke. The hot winds (loo) can also be dangerous if one stays out for too long.

Getting sunburns on one’s skin is also common in summer. One can make the heat of the summer months tolerable by following some of the points given below:

  • Hydration is critical during the summer season. To hydrate oneself means to drink enough water. One should drink water even if they are not thirsty. Drinking fruit juices will also help.
  • One should wear clothes that are suitable to handle hot weather. Our dress should be loosely fitted and light. We should prefer wearing cotton clothes as they help our skin to breathe.
  • We should go out only in the mornings and evenings. Outdoor activity during the day should be limited. Even if we go out, we should try staying in the shady areas.
  • Wearing sunscreen on summer days is a must. Since our skin can get sunburns quickly, we should use a generous amount of sunscreen.
  • Eating light meals will help us stay light in the summer. Large meals require a lot of energy to digest.
  • Carrying a wet towel with us if we go outside can be helpful. We can wipe our face or neck on it.
  • Exercise and other physical activities should be carried out very early in the morning or in the evening. The same goes for shopping, buying groceries, etc.

Summer season essay

Falling after the Holi festival in India, the summer season is followed by rain. In places such as India, there might often be thunderstorms as well during the season.

Although there are similarities in how the season comes upon us, the ways people experience summer and the difficulties it brings can be different for different people. For example, the summer can bring about droughts for people of rural areas, where the land and water resources dry up. There is no water left in the rivers, wells, and canals. People have to walk or travel a considerable distance to get access to water.

There are also people who cannot afford electric fans or air conditioners. Summers can be highly unbearable for them.

Trees also face dehydration which results in loss of leaves. Birds and animals as well go through hardships due to the scarcity of water. If we can, we should try to provide water to stray animals and keep water bowls for birds.

Essay on Rainy Season

India is known for its rainy season. The major portion of our country falls in the tropical region. It means that we enjoy a tropical season where the southwest winds carry down clouds from June till September. Torrential rain occurs in this season in my city. This season behaves differently in different locations in India. Rajasthan gets the least rain whereas Meghalaya receives the highest rain every year. It all depends on the topography of our country.

The Himalayan Ranges stop the moisture-containing winds and transform them into clouds. These clouds then travel down to the northeastern states to shower their blessings. Monsoon winds from the oceans reach different states and shed loads of water as rain on the other states.

We enjoy our rainy season for 3 to 4 months every year. Heavy clouds are formed in the sky when the southwest monsoon winds invade with a lot of moisture from the sea. By losing temperature, these clouds start getting heavier. Once the motion of the clouds slows down due to increased weight, raindrops form, and shower from the sky. The cool breeze and rain make our atmosphere quite enjoyable.

Dark clouds and lightning are the symbols of heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms are also quite common in India. Due to our diverse landforms and huge area, the behaviour of the rainy season is also diverse. We have learned how to harvest rainwater and tackle droughts. Villages and cities are also learning how to harvest it and recycle it for future use and to naturally increase the level of the water table in the earth.

In our villages, farmers start working on the fields before the rainy season hits. Using the natural water supply, the farmers irrigate their lands and grow various crops relevant to this season. Rain fills our ponds, rivers, and streams. It also gets settled down and increases the freshwater reserve underground. This freshwater reserve is then used as a drinking and irrigation source for the rest of the year. A major part of the northern and southern states in India prefers the rainy season for growing different crops and vegetables.

My city turns out quite beautiful and soothing. After the hot gloomy days of summer, the rainy season hits and removes the dusty look of my city. The trees seem very happy when their leaves are washed clean. The environment becomes greener and pleasant. Excessive rainfall also causes water logging. The municipal corporation takes care of the logged water and drains it out using pumps. Due to excessive construction and dumping of natural water reserves, water logging is common these days.

The rainy season is important for our crops. It also keeps the surrounding flora healthy and thus takes care of the fauna living with it. Without it, our planet will turn barren. Life will not survive as we see around us. The onset of the rainy season brings freshness and peace of mind. We all eagerly wait for it during the summer days. A rainy day is always the most exciting day for a child playing outside. You will also find rainbows in the sky quite amazing.

Ways To Stay Safe During The Rainy Season

Monsoon indeed gives relief from the scorching sun and hot and dry climate but it also brings lots of diseases with it. Due to heavy rains, humid climate and strong winds, many infectious diseases are spread among people. Some of the common health problems during the rainy season are swine flu, colds, viral fever and stomach infections.

Underneath are some tips which must be followed by everyone to keep themselves healthy and safe during monsoon season:

Use rain gears: While going out in the rainy season, people must use their rain gear like waterproof boots, hooded raincoats and umbrellas. As children have a weak immune system, they should not step out in the rain without proper rain equipment otherwise they might catch a cold.

A warm shower: People are advised to take a warm shower if they are drenched. This will help their bodies to get stabilized and return to the normal temperature. Also, they should use hot water for bathing as the temperature is very low during the monsoons.

Basic safety: Children or adults who are doing outdoor activities like swimming should go inside the campus if they hear any thunder and even if it has not started raining yet. They should avoid open areas like playgrounds and metal objects like light poles when they hear thunder.

Avoid stagnant water: Stagnant water is a breeding place for mosquitoes that spreads diseases like malaria and dengue. To avoid this situation, people should regularly empty the still water sources like pet water bowls, planters trays and plates and inflatable pools around the homes.

Keep away from floodwaters: Wading in flood water, especially barefoot, is a fun activity for kids. Children should not go in floodwater as they might get infected by a bacterial disease called leptospirosis. Also, they should disinfect their toys that are contaminated by this water before playing with them.

Cleanliness is important: During the rainy season, people catch a common cold. They should always sanitize their hand before doing any work or eating. People should always wash their hands and feet when they come home, especially after getting in contact with floodwater.

Don't eat junk food: As the monsoon brings many diseases with it, therefore, everyone should avert eating junk or oily food. They should eat homemade food as it will help them in boosting their immunity. People can also eat fruits and green vegetables after washing them properly.

Avoid sharing things: Viral fever is a communicable disease. Therefore, people suffering from viral fever should not share their things with other people as they may also get infected.

  Significance Of Rain

A human needs freshwater to maintain his immune system and digestive system. The availability of fresh water helps in supporting the existence of human life. The toxins of the human body come out in the form of urine and sweat.

All plants, grass, trees and flowers need water for their survival and flourishment. When the rainy season comes, the rainwater gets stored in the ground which is used by the seeds for their growth and nourishment.

The rainy season changes the atmosphere of the surroundings. The temperature gets lower and the environment becomes cool. The rainfall increases the water level in the rivers and lakes so that animals can use this water for drinking. The soil soaks the rainwater which plants use to convert solar energy into nutrition.

People can store this rainwater by using the technique of rainwater harvesting. From the rooftop, the water moves down through the pipe and gets collected in the tanks or cisterns.

Rainwater can also become a source for generating electricity which is known as hydroelectricity. Due to rainfall, there is an increment in the water level of the ponds and lakes. People also make small ponds to collect this rainwater and use this water to generate electricity.

FAQs on Rainy Season Essay

1.Why is the rainy season important?

The rainy season is one of the most important seasons in the year that helps our farmers to cultivate lands and grow new harvests. India is a country where the prime occupation is agriculture. It means that many crops depend on the rainwater collected in the ponds, canals, rivers, and beneath the soil. The elevated water table in the rainy season also becomes the prime source of drinking water in many rural areas in different states. Apart from the agricultural benefits, this season also relieves the flora and fauna from the scorching heat of the summer days. New plants grow and the food chain becomes more fortified again. Plants are the base of a food chain as they establish the base by producing food. This is why the rainy season is so important for every living being.

2.Why does the Rainy Season differ from One State to the Other?

Due to the diverse topographical features of India, the rainy season varies from one state to the other. Winds containing heavy moisture accumulate and get obstructed by the Himalayan Ranges. This is the first phase of the formation of clouds. In other states, moisture containing clouds originate in the oceans and shower torrentially for a few months. Even though many states fall in the same tropical region, the rainfall varies a lot. Rajasthan gets very little rainfall whereas West Bengal receives a lot of rainfall during the monsoon season. It is all about the geographical significance of our country that determines the amount of rainfall in every state. Meghalaya receives heavy rainfall across the year due to its intertwined position among the Himalayan Ranges.

3.How Rainwater is being harvested in the cities?

Rainwater is harvested by digging ponds in shallow places in rural areas. In cities also, shallow ponds accumulate rainwater and contribute to the escalation of the water table beneath the superficial soil. Due to the over-construction of concrete buildings, it is hard to accommodate water leading to water-logging and floods in different cities. Nowadays, big communities and complexes are learning to use rainwater and store or let it pass in the soil by using different means. It not only makes the water table regain its level but also makes a metropolitan complex sustainable in terms of water usage.

My Favourite Season Summer Essay

We appreciate and savour many things during the summer. We like extended vacation time in the summer. We enjoy our time with our family and friends during the summer holidays. Here are a few sample essays on the topic ‘My Favourite Season Summer’.

100 Words Essay On My Favourite Season Summer

Summer is the hottest time of the year but it’s also one of my favourite seasons. Beginning of the summer ignites a sense of hope and opportunity for me and makes me feel like I can achieve all my goals. The days are longer, and the nights are shorter throughout the summer and gives you all the more time to work and play. The sun shines brightly, and the sky becomes clearer.

My Favourite Season Summer Essay

Fruits and vegetables come in a variety during the summer, I especially look forward to mangoes and lychees. Farmers also prepare their fields for agriculture during the summer months for different vegetables and fruits.

200 Words Essay On My Favourite Season Summer

India has a wide range of climatic conditions. The locals take pleasure in the qualities of the many seasons. Every season has its unique qualities. But summer is my favourite season among the other seasons and I eagerly anticipate its arrival. Typically, the summer season begins in April and lasts through June. Although summer is the hottest season, I adore it very much. We have long summer vacations throughout the season and many festive holidays, which is my favourite part about the summers.

Long Summer Vacation | We have a two-month summer break from school during summers and that is why I adore this season so much. During the summer break, we are free from the school's everyday activities and work. By letting go of the pressure of regular homework and studies, we can eat, sleep, and play with friends.

Fun Activities During The Evening | Summer is a great season to train for a variety of sports and competitions. Summertime brings an increase in outdoor activities. I'm always eager to play different sports and games in the evening, and I end up spending the majority of my time with my friends. I make it a point of taking part in different sports, clubs and hobbies including swimming and dancing and horse riding. I love the summertime.

500 Words Essay On My Favourite Season Summer

Summer is my favourite season. Everyone, including me, has a favourite time of year. Everyone has a break from school during summers, so we enjoy the long holidays. Another factor that makes summer my favourite season is that I get to taste cold beverages and delicious ice creams. During this season, we have access to a vast range of food items. We also have access to great mangoes during the summer. Mangoes are my favourite fruit.

Thus summers generally make me happier. We appreciate and savour many things during the summer. I enjoy my time with my family and friends during the summer holidays. We even take family vacations when we are all free and wish to escape the heat. Even if it's just a short trip, I look forward to them every year because I get to bond with my family members. I also love to participate in various summertime activities like summer camps, cycling, swimming, and more. Summers have always been my favourite season since they are so thrilling and full of possibilities.

The Specialty Of Summer Season

  • The days are long, and the nights are short throughout the summer. The days are bright and sunny. In the summer, we can completely unwind in the afternoon.

During the summer, the water parks are constantly crowded with visitors who want to cool off and have fun. In the summer, I enjoy swimming in the pools because it makes me feel liberated. Moreover, I get to consume various different cuisines during the summer.

Fresh cucumbers, enormous watermelons, delicious oranges, sweet guavas, nourishing muskmelons, and other fruits are available in the summer season.

Summer clothes that are so colourful and floral are undoubtedly another summertime specialty. To fully enjoy the summer, people like to dress in shorts, dresses, sleeveless shirts, and other items.

The summer months are crowded with people visiting the hill stations to escape the heat.

I, therefore, appreciate summer even more as a result of all these specialties. My relatives have a small farm within a few hours drive where we go every summer to spend time and taste the delicious fruits. They always serve the best mango juice, and I was amazed at how fresh the juice was and how it tasted so good. This also makes the summer season special. During summer vacation, I usually spend time with my family, and we all go to the garden and parks on the weekend for a picnic and take fresh air under trees.

But summer time is also quite dangerous since hot air blows during the day, which can also make us ill. People also became dehydrated. People can also suffer from burns to the skin. In the summer, all of the water in the reservoirs evaporates resulting in scarcity in some areas.

Nonetheless, summer is my favourite season because everything is so fantastic and vibrant. Even the fruits and vegetables we receive are so vibrantly coloured which is a sight to behold. Children who attend school appreciate the summer more since it gives them more time to play and unwind. The summers are pleasant, warm, and sunny.

summer season essay class 2

The New Orleans Saints will host the San Francisco 49ers for joint practices in training camp and play the reigning NFC champions a few days later in Week 2 of the preseason, multiple sources said this week.

The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and is being considered for a nationally televised spot in prime time, sources said.

The Saints are expected to open the preseason against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on the weekend of Aug. 9-12, satisfying the club's request to the NFL to play their first two preseason games relatively close to their training camp location at the University of California-Irvine.

The Saints are expected to break camp after the 49ers game and return to New Orleans, where they will play their final preseason game in the Caesars Superdome the weekend of Aug. 22-25.

The Saints’ regular-season schedule will be announced Wednesday when the NFL releases the entire 2024 slate. The league typically announces its full preseason schedule with dates and times a few weeks after the regular-season slate is announced.

The joint practices against the 49ers likely will take place a couple of days before the preseason game. The official dates and times of the workouts will be announced later this summer.

In Irvine, the Saints will practice on Crawford Field at the UC Irvine Athletics Complex, which hosted the Rams from 2016-19 and 2021-23. The Saints needed a different location because of a construction project on a new cafeteria at the team’s Metairie training complex.

The Saints are familiar with the area, having conducted joint workouts with the Chargers five times in the past seven years.

The Saints are one of five teams that will train in Southern California this year. The Las Vegas Raiders will practice in Costa Mesa, about 3 miles away from Irvine. The Chargers are moving their camp to their new training facility in El Segundo. The Cowboys have trained in Oxnard for several years.

The Rams will hold training camp in Southern California but have not made an announcement on the exact location. Offseason workouts are taking place at California Lutheran College in Thousand Oaks, where their facility has been since 2016, but they are moving to Woodland Hills at some point this year.

Because the Rams and Chargers own the marketing rights to the area, the Saints' workouts in Irvine likely will be open to only season-ticket holders, VIPs and sponsors. Saints president Dennis Lauscha said last week the team is still trying to determine whether the practices will be open to the public.

The Cowboys are allowed to open their practices to the public because they started training in the area before the Rams and Chargers relocated to Los Angeles.

The competition against the 49ers will be a good gauge for the Saints. The 49ers feature perennial Pro Bowlers Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey. They are coming off a 12-5 season in which they advanced to the Super Bowl for the second time in five seasons. They have won the second-most games (54) in the NFC since 2019 and played in the NFC championship four times during that span.

The workouts will be a reunion for a couple of new Saints. First-year offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak served as the passing-game coordinator for the 49ers last season. Defensive end Chase Young played the final nine games of last season in San Francisco after being traded from Washington.

In recent years, the Saints have practiced against the Chargers, Texans, Patriots and Jaguars. This will be the first time they've worked against the 49ers.

Can this dynamic duo of total class opposites get past their own biases to become humanity’s salvation, or will the mechanism of capitalism crush them in its greedy vise?   Funny and fast-paced, The Bleeding Class combines science fiction, thriller, and camp to ask: What would you do, and who would you be, if everything was on the line?   Undiscovered Works is honored to produce The Bleeding Class as part of 59E59’s AMPLIFY Festival.     Negro Ensemble Company presents

Summer Marie Thomas on Reversing Her Off-putting Personality on 'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard' Season 2 [Interview]

Summer has become a prominent part of 'SHMV' and tells Collider about the house drama and the reunion excitement.

The Big Picture

  • Summer's personality led her to shine as the star of Season 2 amid misunderstandings and shifting dynamics.
  • Summer values honesty in her friendships and interactions, even when her delivery may not always be well-received.
  • She is prepared to address any frustrations and set the record straight during the upcoming reunion while sporting a cute outfit.

When viewers met Summer Marie Thomas in Season 1 of Summer House: Martha's Vineyards, they could see she had a spark that attracted everyone to her, and it left viewers wanting to see more of her since she came into the house halfway through the season. As Season 2 is coming to wrap, viewers can see Summer's personality, which has made her shine and become the season's star . While coming into the house this summer, Summer started the season having her set alliances. Still, as the summer began to unfold, it seemed people were misunderstanding her and separating themselves from her.

Being brought into a show for the first time halfway through a season may be challenging for some cast members. Still, it was easy for Summer since she found ways to fit in with the cast, and her bond with cast members Preston Mitchum and Jordan Emmanuel started to grow. With this new season, however, her friendship with Jordan began to shift, creating drama for her in the house. Even though she may have gone through some situations that may have felt like the whole house was against her, she realized who her true friendships are , and her bond with some grew even stronger with their reunion filming soon. She is ready to let out any frustrations she may have felt during the season while also wearing a cute outfit. She spoke about everything that transpired in Season 2 in an interview with Collider.

Summer House: Martha's Vineyard (2024)

From yacht parties to electrifying romance, both fun and drama are on the docket for these young professionals and entrepreneurs during their island getaway. With some being newbies to the area and others as lifelong veterans, friendships are put to the test, jealousy bubbles to the surface, and loyalty is questioned all while living together in this beach playground.

Summer Reflects on Season 2 Changes

Viewers met Summer halfway through the first season of Summer House: Martha's Vineyards, and she made an impact on viewers and the cast when she was brought in as a full-time cast member for their second season. When speaking with Collider , Summer said one of the most significant changes she felt from the first season to the second one was being able to start fresh with the cast from the beginning. " A lot of dynamics and situations had already been developed since Season one , and now in Season two we are coming in with a fresh start, and everyone is starting at ground zero," she states as can be seen how in this season she has shown her personality and is building her relationship with all of her cast mates.

Preston Mitchum Is Why 'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard' Works

With her being in the house since the beginning, she has built friendships with people with whom she hasn't had the opportunity to have one-on-one experiences while also seeing who her true friends are and who are not honest. One of the people who has helped Summer become an even better person is Preston Mitchum , to whom she says there may be a moment shown on the show that turns her perspective on herself all the way around. " He shares four words with me that changed my views of him as a human being and how I can show up for myself and others ," she says, adding of Mitchum, "I see him as a lifelong friend and the love of my life." While speaking about Preston, she mentions honesty, in which she expresses she will always show up in any given situation, and it may seem like something her castmates may not be used to.

Honesty Is Important for Summer

During Season 2, it can be seen that some of the cast may not like the way Summer sometimes interprets things, and this may put them off from her. She says that sometimes her delivery may not be the best, but the subtext behind her delivery is there, which is to show up with honesty. "There's a lot of conflicts where you'll see someone say something, and then they'll say, 'Oh, I didn't say that,' but yes, you did," she says. Summer also explains how she feels. She can be seen getting frustrated on the show because of everything happening in front of her since she thought she had been showing up with honesty, but she can see some of her cast mates were not doing the same, and it wasn't reciprocated the same way it was with her.

Summer Is Getting Ready For the Reunion

It's almost time for the Summer House Martha's Vineyards cast to film their first-ever reunion, and Summer is ready to let out any frustrations she felt while filming and even post-filming . One of the things she is looking forward to the most when filming the reunion is to be given the chance to clear up any storylines or narratives that have been said. " I want there to be honesty and clear communication because I feel like I have already given so much of it," she says, adding, "I'm a different person now, but it's still hard to see me go through all of that." She is ready to clear up the air with everyone and be able to move forward since they are all genuine friends. Besides the excitement, she teased that her reunion outfit would be cute.

Why Delta Air Lines Stock Is a Perfect Summer Travel Season Pick

You can beat the heat in June and July with Delta Air Lines stock

  • Delta Air Lines’  ( DAL ) chief executive recently predicted a strong travel season for the summer.
  • Delta Air Lines stock is flying high after an earnings beat, but still isn’t overpriced.
  • Investors should seriously consider buying Delta Air Lines stock today.

Delta Air Lines stock - Why Delta Air Lines Stock Is a Perfect Summer Travel Season Pick

Source: Markus Mainka / Shutterstock.com

It’s understandable if you’re hesitant to invest in Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL ) right now. After all, inflation hasn’t gone away and you might wonder whether Delta Air Lines stock will be vulnerable in the coming months. However, a review of the facts should bolster your confidence in the travel industry, and in Delta specifically.

Granted, this year’s summer travel season could be make-or-break for Delta Air Lines. The travel industry will be tested, but I expect Delta to pass the test with flying colors. So, make sure your seat belt is fastened as we prepare for an exciting trip and, hopefully, superior summertime profits.

Get Ready for a ‘Record’ Travel Season

If you’re worried about a falloff in travel demand this summer, here are some reassuring words. First of all, after Delta Air Lines’ posted outstanding quarterly results (which we’ll discuss in a moment), Raymond James Managing Director Savanthi Syth concluded that consistent air-travel demand is now a “ new normal .”

The standard could be set for the airline industry’s “new normal” this summer. InvestorPlace contributor Charles Munyi predicted , “With  international tourism set to return to pre-pandemic levels  in 2024, airlines could have another great year.” Air-travel demand, Munyi, added, “will likely strengthen from Asia-Pacific and have a further upside from a potential recovery in China.”

Lower airfares could be a summertime-travel catalyst this year. Despite inflationary pressure in the economy overall, the data suggests that airfare prices will be down this summer, potentially boosting travel demand.

In addition, Delta Air Lines’ investors can take comfort in a quote from the company’s CEO, Ed Bastian. He confidently declared, “ Demand continues to be strong , and we see a record spring and summer travel season with our 11 highest sales days in our history all occurring this calendar year.”

Delta Air Lines’ ‘Constructive’ Financials

Bastian also asserted, “This may be the most constructive backdrop that I’ve seen in my airline career.” The CEO’s confidence seems to be overflowing, but it’s backed up by Delta Air Lines’ impressive financial figures.

Here are the need-to-know stats. In the quarter that ended in March of 2024, Delta Air Lines’ revenue grew 6% year over year to $12.6. This result exceeded Wall Street’s consensus forecast of $12.5 billion in revenue.

Delta reported earnings of 45 cents per share, versus 25 cents in the year-earlier quarter and the analysts’ consensus estimate of 36 cents.

That sounds pretty “constructive,” wouldn’t you agree? Delta Air Lines’ top-line and bottom-line growth indicate that the airline is thriving despite overall price inflation in the economy.

Yet, the outlook could get even better this summer. According to Reuters , the International Air Transport Association (IATA) “expects 4.7 billion people to travel in 2024, compared with 4.5 billion in 2019.”

Amid this bullish backdrop, Delta Air Lines optimistically guided for earnings of $6 to $7 per share for fiscal 2024. This implies strong earnings acceleration after Delta’s March-quarter earnings of 45 cents per share.

Travel First-Class With Delta Air Lines Stock

Are you ready for the summer? Just as importantly, is your portfolio ready for the summer? I’d say the answer is “no,” unless you have a share position in Delta Air Lines.

Delta’s CEO is ultra-confident, but all of the indicators point to robust summertime travel demand. Plus, the skeptics can’t really argue with Delta’s quarterly results. Therefore, you’d better hurry up, pack your bags and prepare for takeoff with a summertime stake in Delta Air Lines stock.
