How to Import Slides from Another Google Slides Presentation

copy google slides from one presentation to another

Reusing slides from an existing presentation can save you a ton of time when creating new slides decks. Thankfully, Google Slides makes it easy to import slides from other presentations right into the one you’re currently working on. In this article, I’ll walk you through the complete process step-by-step.

Why Import Slides?

There are a few great reasons to import existing slides:

  • Saves time – Creating presentations from scratch is time consuming. Importing slides lets you skip repetitive layout and design work.
  • Consistency – Maintaining consistent branding and messaging across presentations keeps your content cohesive. Importing slides helps achieve that consistency with less effort.
  • Leverage previous work – If you or colleagues have already created slides you want to reuse, importing them makes perfect sense. No need to recreate the wheel!

In summary, leveraging existing slides by importing them into new presentations boosts your productivity. The time savings really add up for recurring presentations like status updates, reports, and common pitch decks.

Step 1: Open the Destination Presentation

First, open the Google Slides presentation you want to import slides into. This is the destination presentation that will contain the new slides.

To access Google Slides, navigate to slides.google.com and open the desired presentation file. Alternatively, you can open a presentation from Google Drive by double clicking on it.

Once the destination presentation is open in Google Slides, you’re ready to move on to importing.

Step 2: Access the Import Slides Option

The “Import slides” option allows you to browse and select an existing presentation to pull slides from. Here’s how to access it:

  • Click on the File menu.
  • Select Import slides . This opens the import dialog box.

Import slides menu option

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+I (Cmd+I on Mac) will also open the Import slides dialog box.

Either method takes you directly to the next step – choosing the source presentation.

Step 3: Select the Source Presentation

In the Import slides dialog, navigate to and select the Google Slides presentation containing the source slides you want to reuse.

The dialog box allows you to access the following locations:

  • Google Drive – this is where your Google Slides presentations are stored by default.
  • Local device – you can also upload a PowerPoint PPTX file from your computer.
  • Slides home screen – easily access commonly used presentations here.

Import slides dialog box

Once you’ve selected the source presentation, Google Slides will display thumbnail previews of all slides within it.

Step 4: Choose the Slides to Import

In this step, pick the exact slides from the source presentation that you want to reuse in the destination presentation.

The import dialog displays an overview of all available slides. Hover over each thumbnail to preview the slide.

To select a slide for import:

  • Check the box below each slide you want to reuse.
  • Optionally click the All checkbox to select all slides at once.
  • Click the slides/checkboxes again to deselect as needed.

Once you’ve made your selections, scroll down and click the blue Import slides button.

Selecting slides to import

This adds the slides into the destination presentation. They will be inserted after the current slide you have open.

Step 5: Rearrange and Edit Imported Slides

By default, Google Slides adds all imported slides sequentially. If desired, rearrange the imported slides to integrate them with existing content:

  • In the thumbnail pane, click and drag slides to place them in the desired position.
  • Use the toolbar, right click menu, or keyboard shortcuts to make edits to imported slides.
  • Change the theme, layout, fonts, colors, and design at will!

The imported slides are now a part of your presentation. Customize and tweak them as needed.

Note: Imported slides retain their original theme and formatting by default. To make them visually match the new presentation, check the “Keep original theme” option before importing.

And that’s it! With these five simple steps you can swiftly reuse slides from other Google Slides presentations. Importing slides saves time, maintains consistency, and prevents duplication of effort.

Tips for Working With Imported Slides

Here are some additional pointers for importing and reusing slides efficiently:

  • Rename confusing slide titles – The imported slides retain their original titles. Rename any titles that seem confusing or unclear out of context.
  • Consolidate multiple versions – Importing the same slide from different presentations can create duplicates. Consolidate any redundant versions.
  • Cite sources – If reusing slides from third-party presentations available online, make sure to cite the original creator.
  • Use keyboard shortcuts – Learn shortcuts like Ctrl+C (copy), Ctrl+V (paste), and Ctrl+D (duplicate) to efficiently reuse and tailor imported slides.
  • Organize with sections – Group related slides in sections to keep your presentation organized. Rename section headers appropriately.

Leveraging existing slides through Google Slides’ simple import tool can save you tons of time when building new presentations. With the steps in this article, you’ll be able to import slides confidently.

How to Make a Copy of Google Slides? [An EASY Tutorial!]

When you share your Google Slides presentations with others, the changes that they make will most likely become visible on the main presentation. One way to avoid this problem is to make a copy of the Google Slides presentation before making any changes! But you may be wondering, how exactly does one make a copy of Google Slides?

Here’s how to make a copy of a Google Slides presentation –

  • Click on the “File” menu.
  • Select “Make a copy” from the dropdown.
  • Then, click on “Entire Presentation”
  • Finally, click “OK” in the pop-up window that opens up.

In this article, we will cover this topic in great detail. I will share with you two different methods along with the detailed steps of making a copy of Google Slides. Furthermore, I will also show you how you can force others to make a copy before they start editing a Google Slides presentation!

So, let’s get started!

1. How to Make a Copy of a Google Slides Presentation?

Basically, there are two ways in which you can make a copy of your Google Slides presentation.

The first method is to use the “ File ” menu option while the other method is to use the Google Drive Folder. Both of the methods are explained in the following section.

Method 1 – Using the File Menu Option

This method is the easiest as you can make a copy of your Google Slides presentation directly from the presentation file when it is open!

To make a copy of your Google Slides presentation using the “ File ” Menu option follow the simple steps explained below.

Step-1: Click on the “File” menu option

copy google slides from one presentation to another

The first step of the process is to click on the “ File ” tab, which will open a drop-down menu.

From the dropdown menu, select the “ Make a copy ” option which will open yet another drop-down menu. Now select the “ Entire presentation ” option.

Step-2 : Hit the “Ok” button

copy google slides from one presentation to another

After you click on the “ Entire presentation ” option, a pop-up window will appear on your screen. Simply click on the “ OK ” button and a copy of your presentation will be saved on your Google Drive

Method 2 – Using the Google Drive Folder

This method is much like the traditional way you would copy and paste a file on your computer. Basically, in this method, you have to navigate to the folder where your file is saved and then make a copy.

copy google slides from one presentation to another

To make a copy of your Google Slides presentation, all you have to do is simply “Right -Click ”  on the slide that you want to make a copy of and then select the “ Make a copy ” option from the drop-down menu. A copy of your Google Slides presentation will be saved on your Google Drive immediately.

2. How to Make a Copy of Selected Slides?

In case you don’t want to copy the complete presentation, you can also make a copy of a selected set of slides and open them as a separate presentation file.

To make a copy of selected slides in your Google Slides presentation, at first select the slides that you want to make a copy of and then follow the simple steps explained below.

Step-1: Click on the “File” tab

copy google slides from one presentation to another

After you have selected the slides, you want to make a copy of, click on the “ File ” tab which will open a drop-down menu.

Step-2: Select the “Selected slides” option

Next, select the “ Selected slides ” option from the drop-down menu as shown in the image in the previous step.

Step-3: Hit the “OK” button

copy google slides from one presentation to another

After you have selected the “ Selected slides ” option, a pop-up window will appear on your screen.

Here, you can rename the presentation. This is completely optional. Next, click on the “ OK ” button located at the bottom right corner and a copy of the selected slides will be saved on your Google Drive.

3. How to Force Users to Make a Copy of Google Slides?

Now, what if you are sharing a template of a presentation with multiple users and you want to prevent people from making changes to your master file in Google Slides? Well, the easiest way to do this is to force the user to make a copy of when you share the link of the file!

To force users to make a copy of your Google Slides presentation, edit the URL of your Google Slides presentation. Highlight everything after the last “/” in the URL of your browser, and instead write “copy”. Now, share the edited link with others. This will force a copy of your presentation.

The complete process is described step-by-step manner below –

Step-1: Remove the last part of the URL

copy google slides from one presentation to another

The first step of the process is to select the last part of the URL which will have the word “ Edit ” on it. This will be after the final “/” used in the URL.

Simply locate and select that part of the URL, and delete it.

Step-2: Write “Copy” in the last part of the URL

copy google slides from one presentation to another

In the second step, after you have removed the “ Edit ” part of the URL, write “ Copy ” in its place. Now when you share this link with anybody, they will be forced to make a copy of your Google Slides presentation to view it.

Here’s what the end-user will see on their screen once you have shared the link with them.

Remember – for this method to work, you have to make sure that you have given permission to access the Google Slides presentation .

4. How to Make a Copy of Google Slides in Presentation Mode?

You can also make a copy of your Google Slides presentation to directly open in the “Presentation Mode” when you share it with your audience! This is really helpful because sometimes you don’t want the audience to access the content of the slides, but you also don’t want to share a PDF either in order to retain the animations.

To make a copy of a Google Slides presentation to directly open in the present mode, edit the URL. Highlight everything after the last “/” in the URL of your browser, and instead write “present”. Now, share the edited link with others. This will open your presentation in the present mode by default.

Here are the details of the steps that you need to follow –

Step-1: Remove the “Edit” part from the URL

Lastly, simply click on the blue “ Send ” button at the bottom right corner of the pop-up window and the presentation will be copied to the Google Drive of the recipient account.

What to Know

  • Right-click the thumbnail of the slide to be copied, select Copy , then right-click a blank area of the Slides pane where you want to place it.
  • Alternate method: Click-and-drag the thumbnail of the slide you want to copy to the Slides pane of the destination presentation.
  • Note: When using the click-and-drag method, the copied slide takes on the design theme of the destination presentation.

This article explains how to copy a slide in PowerPoint from another PowerPoint presentation. Instructions in this article apply to PowerPoint 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003, and PowerPoint for Microsoft 365.

Copy and Paste Method in PowerPoint

A quick way to use slides from one presentation in another presentation is to copy the slides that you want to use and paste those slides into the new presentation.

Open both presentations to show them at the same time on the screen. The original presentation contains the slides you plan to copy , and the destination presentation is where they will go. The destination presentation may be an existing presentation or a new presentation.

On the ribbon , go to the View tab.

In the Window group, select Arrange All . In PowerPoint 2003, choose Window > Arrange All from the main menu.

In the Slides pane of the original presentation, right-click the thumbnail of the slide to be copied.

Choose Copy from the shortcut menu.

In the destination presentation, right-click a blank area of the Slides pane where you want to place the copied slide. It can be placed anywhere in the sequence of slides in the presentation.

Choose a Paste option. In PowerPoint 2019, 2016, 2013, and 2010, you have three options:

  • Use Destination Theme (H) : The copied slide will use the same theme as the PowerPoint presentation it is pasted into.
  • Use Source Formatting (K) : The copied slide will keep the original theme and formatting as the original presentation.
  • Picture (U) : The copied slide will be pasted as a graphic into the active slide.

For PowerPoint 2007 and 2003, choose Paste from the shortcut menu.

Click and Drag Method in PowerPoint

If you'd rather use the mouse to copy slides from one presentation to another, follow these steps:

In the Slides pane of the original presentation, select the thumbnail of the desired slide.

Drag the thumbnail to the Slides pane of the destination presentation in the preferred location for the slide.

The pointer changes to indicate the placement of the slide.

Place the slide between two slides or at the end of the presentation.

When you use this method, you don't have the option to choose which theme the newly copied slide will use. The newly copied slide takes on the design theme in PowerPoint (or design template  in PowerPoint 2003) of the second presentation.

If you started a new presentation and haven't applied a design theme or design template, the newly copied slide appears on the white background of the default design template.

Reuse (import) slides from another presentation

You can add one or more slides to your presentation from another, without having to open the other file.

(By default, a copied slide inherits the design of the slide you're inserting it after in the destination presentation. However, you can choose to keep the formatting of the slide you're copying instead.)

When you import a slide from one presentation to another, it is simply a copy of the original. Changes you make to the copy do not affect the original slide in the other presentation.

Open the presentation that you want to add a slide to.

In the slide thumbnail pane on the left, click where you want to add a slide.

The red horizontal line indicates where the new slide or slides will be inserted.

On the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Slides group, click the arrow below New Slide , and then select Reuse Slides .

In the Reuse Slides pane, click Open a PowerPoint File .

Browse to locate a presentation

In the Browse dialog box, locate and click the presentation file that contains the slide that you want, and then click Open .

If you want the slide that you are adding to the destination presentation to maintain the formatting of the original presentation, select the Keep source formatting check box before you add the slide to the destination presentation. (When this check box is not selected, the copied slides inherit the styling of the slide they're inserted after.) Then, in the Reuse Slides pane, do one of the following:

To add a single slide, click the slide.

To add all of the slides, right-click any slide, and then select Insert All Slides .

Select the "Keep Source Formatting" option if you want the inserted slides to maintain the styling used in the original presentation.

Open an existing presentation or create a new presentation that you want to insert slides into.

In Normal view, in the navigation pane, click the slide that you want to insert the other slides after.

On the Home tab, under Slides , click the arrow next to New Slide , and then click Reuse Slides .

The New Slide menu includes a Reuse Slides command.

In the dialog box, find the presentation that you want to insert, and select it. Click OK .

Note:  In PowerPoint for the web, you can insert reused slides from other presentations only one at a time.

Open the presentation that you want to insert slides to.

In the slide thumbnail pane on the left, click the slide you want to add slide after.

Select Reuse slides

Import slides from another presentation to the current one

How to do a transition on Google Slides: A Step-by-Step Guide

Transitions in Google Slides can add that extra flair to your presentation, making it more dynamic and engaging. Essentially, a transition is an effect that takes place when you move from one slide to the next. It’s a simple way to make your presentation flow and keep your audience focused. Let’s dive into how you can easily add transitions to your slides.

Step by Step Tutorial: Adding Transitions on Google Slides

Before we get into the nitty-gritty, let’s establish what we’re aiming to achieve with these steps. We want to add transitions to our slides to make our presentation smooth and visually appealing.

Step 1: Open your Google Slides presentation

Access your presentation by going to Google Drive and opening the Google Slides document you wish to add transitions to.

Once you have your presentation open, you’ll see all your slides listed on the left-hand side. This is your starting point.

Step 2: Select the slide you want to add a transition to

Click on the slide that you want to apply the transition effect to. You can add transitions to individual slides or to all slides at once.

If you want to apply the same transition to multiple slides, hold the ‘Shift’ key and click on the slides you want to include. This will allow you to add the transition effect to all selected slides at once.

Step 3: Click on "Slide" in the top menu, then "Change transition"

After selecting your slide(s), head to the top menu, click on "Slide," and you’ll see the option "Change transition." This will open the ‘Transition to this slide’ sidebar.

In the sidebar, you’ll see a variety of transition options, such as ‘Fade’, ‘Slide’, and ‘Flip’. You can click on each to see a preview of the transition effect.

Step 4: Choose your transition effect and adjust the speed

Once you’re in the transition sidebar, click on the transition you want to add. Next to the transition options, you’ll see a slider that allows you to adjust the speed of the transition.

Slower transitions can create a sense of drama or importance, while faster transitions can keep the energy of your presentation high. Play around with the speed until you find something that suits your presentation style.

Step 5: Click "Apply to all slides" if you want to use the same transition for every slide

If you’ve decided that you want to maintain consistency throughout your presentation, then you can click on "Apply to all slides" to use the same transition effect across your entire slide deck.

Remember, while consistency can be good, using different transitions for different sections of your presentation can also help to differentiate between topics or ideas.

After you’ve completed these steps, your slides will now transition with the effect you’ve chosen when you present. This can make your presentation more professional and polished.

Tips for Adding Transitions on Google Slides

  • Use transitions sparingly. Too many transitions can be distracting and take away from the content of your presentation.
  • Keep your audience in mind. Choose transitions that complement the tone and style of your presentation.
  • Preview your transitions. Make sure to watch how your transitions look before presenting to an audience, so you can make any necessary adjustments.
  • Consider the timing. Make sure the speed of your transition matches the pacing of your presentation.
  • Experiment with different transitions. Google Slides offers a variety of transition options, so don’t be afraid to try out different effects.

PowerPoint and Google Slides are two popular options for presentations, but which one is best? As someone who has used both programs for a long time, I've found that Google Slides offers many advantages that make it my go-to choice.

Let's be clear: I'm comparing the web-based PowerPoint and Google Slides versions. It's unfair to compare Google Slides to the desktop version of PowerPoint, isn't it? Here are some reasons why Google Slides is my favorite presentation tool.

1. Ease of Collaboration

Ease of collaboration was the central reason I switched to Google Slides for my presentation needs. As a content creator, I always aim for a seamless collaboration experience while dealing with my clients and team members. Google Slides offered exactly that, and I was in love with it.

So, is Google Slides better than PowerPoint for collaboration? It certainly has advantages that make it an ideal choice for a lot of users.

With Google Slides, you can efficiently work with others and share your work , no matter what kind of computer or phone you use. If you have a Google account and the link to the presentation, you can join in and make changes simultaneously with other members.

In contrast, to collaborate in PowerPoint, you have to consider various external factors, such as the user's working device and storage locations. For example, you might not be able to easily collaborate with someone who has an older version of PowerPoint, or with someone using a PowerPoint mobile due to feature limitations. Some things that are restricted in the free web and mobile version compared to PowerPoint on desktop include limited commenting tags, editing options, and more.

Additionally, Google Slides also has built-in chat and commenting features. This feature allows all your team members to stay on the same page and communicate with each other to streamline editing. In PowerPoint, you're limited to comments only.

2. Offline Access

Another important reason for my switch to Google Slides is the offline access feature. With this feature, you can create, edit, and present presentations to others even without an internet connection. Any changes you apply offline are synced automatically once you're back online, so you can keep working even without an internet connection.

You can activate offline access by checking the offline mode option in your Google Drive settings.

Also, with Google Slides, you don't need software installed on your computer to access your presentations offline. However, Microsoft PowerPoint requires an internet connection to save changes to OneDrive storage. No internet, no autosave!

3. Integration With Other Google Tools

Switching to Google Slides is easy if you already use Google apps like Docs, Sheet, Meet, and Gmail. They all work well together. You can import charts and tables from Google Sheets into your presentations with just a few clicks. Any modifications to the original data in Google Sheets will automatically be reflected in your Google Slides presentation.

For example, on Google Slides, open the "Insert" tab and navigate to the "Chart" option. From there, click on the "From Sheets" option and import a chart from Google Sheets.

Furthermore, you can add Google Keep notes to your Slides and share your content in Google Meet with Smart Canvas without switching between tabs.

On the other hand, Microsoft PowerPoint integrates with other Microsoft tools, but it's not as seamless as Google Slides and has limited integration capabilities. For example, unlike Google Sheets, which updates data automatically in Slides, PowerPoint requires you to manual refresh to update Excel charts. This means you need to copy and paste the updated chart from Excel to PowerPoint.

4. More Storage Space

Google Slides offers more storage space through Google Drive. With a Google account, you get 15GB of storage shared across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. This is significantly more than what Microsoft offers with its free PowerPoint Web version, which only provides 5GB of OneDrive storage. If you create large presentations with many images or videos, Google's extra storage space can be a significant advantage.

Additionally, Google offers affordable plans to upgrade your storage if needed. For example, you can get 100GB of storage for a $20 annual fee, which is perfect for those who create and store a lot of presentations. However, it's important to note that pricing for additional storage might be different depending on your region.

For detailed information, it's best to check your plans manually by clicking the "Get More Storage" option in Drive.

5. Compatibility With PowerPoint

I know what you're thinking—what if I need to work with someone who only uses Microsoft PowerPoint? Fear not; Google Slides has got you covered. You can import and export PowerPoint presentations into Google Slides, making switching between the two platforms easy.

This feature has been a lifesaver for me when I work with my clients or colleagues who use PowerPoint. I can easily collaborate with them and edit their files without any hassle. After making changes, I can save the Google Slides file again as a PowerPoint file.

You can add your PowerPoint file to Google Slides by either uploading it on Drive or directly opening it from the File > Open option.

6. AI Features

You can also use Google AI tools like Gemini to improve your presentations. For example, the Gemini AI feature in Google Slides allows users to generate images and slides based on their prompts. You can access Gemini from the Slides side panel and input your prompts, such as "Create a slide about," and it will generate slides accordingly.

This feature lets you quickly add relevant and visually appealing presentation content without leaving the Google Slides platform. Using Gemini AI, you can also generate background images in various styles, such as Vector art, Photography, Watercolor, and others.

In contrast, Microsoft AI feature tools like Copilot are not available on the PowerPoint web version. To use Copilot and other AI features in PowerPoint requires a paid subscription to either Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro.

7. Provide Detailed Version History

Both Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint allow you to view and restore previously edited versions of your presentation. However, Google Slides stands out with its detailed version history feature. This feature groups certain versions of your presentation together if you make multiple changes over a short period. This makes it easy to find and select the version you need. These group versions are displayed under the Version History panel.

Another notable feature of Google Slides is the ability to name the modified versions. This is quite useful when working on large documents with multiple collaborators, as it can take time to find the version you want, among many others. To rename a version, open the "Version History" panel, click the three-dot icon, and then select "Name This Version" from the dropdown menu.

Once you've named important versions of your presentation, you can filter them by selecting the "Named Versions" option from the drop menu. This will highlight only the renamed versions, along with the current version of the document, making it easy to locate the version you need.

8. Customization Features and Template Options

The web version of Microsoft PowerPoint has limited features compared to the PowerPoint desktop app, which can sometimes be helpful while designing presentations. For example, you can't insert charts or equations in the web version. Additionally, you can't add hyperlinks to pictures or shapes. On the other hand, you can add equations, charts, and hyperlinks to images in Google Slides.

While both platforms offer a good selection of templates, I prefer Google Slides because its templates are user-friendly and easy to customize. It also provides more flexibility when working with themes compared to the web version of PowerPoint.

Google Slides isn't a flawless tool, but for me and many other presentation creators, it not only gets the job done but also has some advantages over PowerPoint. Whether you're a student, team, or regular user, you can use it to make clear and effective presentations.

5 Better Alternatives To Google Slides

I f you're looking to create a compelling presentation to showcase a new idea or persuade others, Google Slides may be the first option that comes to mind. But with few built-in templates, basic themes, and a limited graphics collection, you'll likely have a hard time making your presentation stand out against others.

If you want to make your presentation truly stand out, there are several alternatives to Google Slides that offer extra perks and features to give your presentations an edge. We've tested these Google Slide alternatives to give you an idea of other available options to deliver impactful presentations. If you're looking for a way to make boring information more fun and engaging, here are the best presentation apps to replace Google Slides.

Microsoft PowerPoint

There's a reason so many businesses around the globe use Microsoft PowerPoint. Building its reputation as the go-to option for delivering high-quality presentations, the software generated $100 million in annual sales only three years after its initial release in 1990.

Microsoft PowerPoint may be Google Slides' largest competitor, but there are plenty of unique features that can add an extra flourish to your slides. PowerPoint excels in its impressive library of custom animations and slide transitions, which are fairly limited in Google Slides. Another unique feature is its AI-powered Designer tool. This provides professional design schemes that mirror the words used in your slides. For instance, if your title slide is named "Basketball Team 2024," Designer will automatically suggest pictures and slide layouts associated with basketball.

As PowerPoint has been in development longer than Google Slides, it naturally offers more nuanced features if you're looking for something specific. For example, you can save individual slides as an image file (using .png or .jpeg formats) or as a separate presentation file. There's also a large library of free PowerPoint templates designed to speed up your workflow. Moreover, PowerPoint integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams with its PowerPoint Live function, allowing you to easily share your presentation with your co-workers.

Prezi offers an innovative approach to showing presentations with its unique canvas feature. Unlike traditional presentation software, Prezi lets you zoom and pan around a flexible canvas. The canvas may feel distant to something of a presentation program, but there is still some linear order provided thanks to the Timeline view.

Finding ways to visualize data is one of the biggest challenges when dealing with presentation software. Prezi resolves this struggle with the help of its Story Blocks: a series of infographics available in multiple designs to visually represent data. You can easily edit infographics and even add animations to individual shapes. This can help add a story to your presentation and help you emphasize key points.

To further enhance your presentation visually, Prezi offers several topic path settings, which let you change how Prezi transitions from one topic to another. These options include subtopics, which are super helpful for breaking large chunks of information down. If you're looking for a unique, modern approach to presenting information, Prezi is a top pick.

If you're looking to create a professional presentation to convince potential clients about your business idea, Slidebean is a popular choice among professionals with plenty of customization options. One of the issues with Google Slides is its fairly limited template library, which is filled mostly with basic designs. Slidebean offers a better alternative with a broad selection of innovative templates split into categories for convenience.

The app's user interface is easy to navigate so that you can create slides in less time. Each slide has a dedicated Design and Outline tab. You can use the Outline tab to quickly edit the information on each slide without being distracted by all the visual elements. Another productivity-enhancing feature is the ability to generate a presentation theme from your website. Simply enter your URL, and Slidebean will automatically apply the theming to your presentation.

Slidebean is another presentation app to take advantage of AI. Using the Auto-Design feature, you can generate recommended slide layouts based on your existing content. It also features AI text suggestions designed to suit different industries. Overall, Slidebean offers a quicker, more efficient method for creating stunning presentations compared to Google Slides.

Canva is a well-known app among graphic designers, but it's also capable of making stunning presentations. The app also has mobile editions, so you can easily create and edit presentations on your Android phone , iOS device, or tablet. As long as you have an internet connection, you can modify your designs wherever you are.

To get started, head to Canva's online presentation maker . Canva offers a vast range of templates categorized by topic, which easily surpasses the simple templates in Google Slides . While some of the templates are only available to Canva Pro members, there is an ample amount of free templates to help you get started. You'll also find a large selection of stock photos, shapes, and illustrations to create beautiful customized slides.

Because Canva is built for graphic designers, you can access several features to give your presentation consistent theming. These include color palettes, font sets, and even a brand kit that allows you to add your company's fonts (available to Pro members only). One time-saving feature is Canva's Uploads tab, which lets you access recently uploaded media files. This offers a convenient way to copy content between different presentations.

Visme is a powerful visual design tool able to create videos, infographics, and presentations. One of the perks of using Visme is the company's free educational content, which offers advice on how to create impactful content to boost your brand. After signing up, the company also asks whether you're using Visme for your business, education purposes, or personal use to offer personalized tips.

In terms of charts and graphs, Visme offers some of the most impressive features we've seen from a presentation app, so you can effortlessly convey important statistics. From the Data tab, you can access dozens of graph styles to visually represent your data. Then, simply double-click a chart inside your presentation to edit the values instantly in a simple table format.

Another area that Visme excels in is collaboration. You can either generate a link to publish your presentation on the web or share your presentation privately with others. For each team member, you can choose who can view, edit, and comment slides for a seamless workflow. There's also a Slack integration that lets you receive messages whenever changes are made to your presentation. Visme is free for all users, with limited features available in its premium plans.
