Kerala University Distance Education Admission 2023 is ongoing. THE SCHOOL OF DISTANCE EDUCATION, started in 1976, as a teaching and research department of the University of Kerala, is one of the pioneering centres of distance learning in the State. The School is located in the Senate House Campus at Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram . The institute was founded with the following objectives. Democratizing higher education to large segments of the population, in particular, the disadvantaged groups like those living in remote and rural areas, working people and women. The School offers 25 programmes, both UG and PG through distance mode of learning. The medium of instruction for all courses is English School of Distance Education except for certain language courses. Kerala University Distance Education 2023 Application Form

The details regarding the Kerala University Distance Education 2023 application form are given below:

Kerala University Distance Education Application Process

Candidates who are willing to take admission in any of distance education course must apply online on the official website of the university.

• Application forms are only available in online mode. Further candidates need to submit the filled-in application form to the Director, School of Distance Education, University of Kerala, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 034 by registered post with acknowledgement.
• Candidates can obtain the prospectus from the registrar office by payment of Rs. 250/-

Documents Required

Candidates must submit the following documents along with the application form:

• Original Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Mark list of the qualifying examination.
• In the absence of the original degree, a Provisional Certificate issued from the university will be accepted for granting provisional admission. Admission thus granted will be regularized only on submission of the original Degree Certificate. Those who apply for M.Sc. Mathematics, M.A. Public Administration and BLISc. are required to submit attested copy of their Degree mark lists also.
• Original Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended. In case such certificate is not issued from the institution last attended, a Certificate stating this fact duly signed by the competent authority of that institution should be submitted along with the application for admission.
• If Institutions are not in the practice of issuing TC to their student’s such students shall be admitted to any programme of study in SDE on the strength of an affidavit attested by a Notary Public/Second Class Judicial Magistrate in lieu of TC along with a letter from the Institution stating that they do not issue TC.
• Students above the age of 60 years are exempted from submitting TC for admission.
• University Pay-in-Slip/DD for the required amount of tuition/other fees remitted as stated in the fee statement.
• Eligibility Certificate shall be obtained from the Registrar, University of Kerala if the Candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside Kerala University and shall be produced at the time of admission.
• This certificate will be issued by the Registrar, on the formal application (in the prescribed form which can be downloaded from University website), addressed to him and accompanied by a fee of Rs 2000/- for Foreign Degree/ Diplomas, Rs. 350/- for PG and Professional Degree from outside Kerala, but within India and Rs. 200/- for all other Degree/Diploma.
• The application should be accompanied by School of Distance Education attested copies of the Certificates of all examinations passed by the candidates (right from SSLC) along with the copy of the TC/Course Certificate (in the case of regular students) of the degree for which eligibility is required along with self-addressed stamped envelop.
• Those who passed HSE/VHSE/CBSE seeking admission to Degree Programmes have to pay the fee of Rs. 200/- only instead of eligibility certificate.
• Identity Card with name and address of the applicant duly filled up in capital letters and photograph affixed.
• True Copy of SSLC
• Migration Certificate in the case of candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any University/Board other than Kerala University. Candidates shall also produce the certificate immediately after taking admission to the course.
• Cancellation Memo from the Controller of Examination relating to Examination/unravelled portion of private registration if any has to be submitted by the candidates who have cancelled part/parts of examinations.
• Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate relating to the PG Course, if the candidate has passed any such examination after graduation.
• PDC/+2 or Equivalent – Mark list and pass Certificate for those who have qualified from any University or Board.
• Photocopy of the Original Degree Certificate (both sides) – 2 Copies
• Completed E Grantz form from Akshaya Kendra for SC / ST / OEC Candidates.
• Caste and Income Certificate, along with a copy of Adhar card, Copies of SSLC, Plus two and Degree.
• Duly filled Identity card with Photo affixed.

Kerala University Distance Education Admission 2024 | IDEKU | UG & PG Courses,Fee

Kerala University Distance Education

Kerala University Distance Education 2024: The registration process for Kerala University distance education courses will begin in the second week of May 2024. The university will be BLis, BCom, BA, MA and other courses for the July 2024 academic session.Kerala University DDE UG courses require a Senior Secondary (12th) pass with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. The eligibility for PG courses course is any bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. Additionally, students must pass their previous examinations in relevant subjects. The average fee for UG and PG degree programs ranges between INR 9,775 to 41,175.

• UG Admission: Eligibility requires a 10+2 qualification or its equivalent with the last date for UG admission set on June 30, 2024.
• PG Admission: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with the last date for PG admission also on June 30, 2024.
• Admission Starting Date: Admissions are currently ongoing, and candidates can apply online through the SDE website.
• Application Fee: INR 250 for UG courses and INR 300 for PG courses.
• Fee: UG courses cost between INR 7,000 – 10,000 per year, and PG courses range from INR 12,000 – 18,000 per year.

The tentative last date will be 31 July 2024 for Kerala University distance education admission 2024. Students can complete the admission procedure by visiting the official portal of the university @ideku.net . Merit-based admission will be provided to all courses. KU DDE application fee for UG and PG courses is INR 320 to INR 425, payable at the time of application form submission.

Kerala University Distance Education Admission 2024

Kerala University distance education offers admission for UG & PG level programs. Courses through distance mode cover all streams like Science, Humanities, Commerce, Library & IT, Management, and Information Sciences.  The UG courses at KU are 3 to 4 years long while PG courses are 2 years long.

The University of Kerala initiated its distance learning program in 1976 as one of the state’s first centres for distance education. Kerala University Distance Education UG Admission

Kerala University Distance Education offers BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, Blis, and other courses at the UG level. The admission process is based on HSC marks. By studying through the DDE mode, the interested candidates will continue their education even after continuing some other education courses with the regular mode.

• BA :   Bachelor of Arts at Kerala University School of Distance Education is available to students who have passed the 12th class examination with 45% marks. There is the choice of specializations, like Economics, History, and Sociology, for distance BA programs. 
• BBA :   Kerala University provides a Bachelor of Business Administration course via distance learning mode. Students with a passing certificate of class 12 are eligible to apply. 
• BCom : Bachelor of Commerce is the full form of a BCom course. To be eligible for admission to a BCom degree, a student should have passed 12th from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks. The fee for the course is Rs. 13,345.
• BSc Mathematics: Bachelor of Science (BSc) offered by Kerala University only for one specialization in Mathematics via Open and  Distance Learning (ODL). It is a 3-year graduate degree that is accessible for the students after completion of 12th with mathematics with 45-50% marks aggregated.

Kerala University Distance Education PG Admission

Kerala University Distance Education will start the PG admission soon for the July 2024 session. The IDEKU admission’s last date will be 31 July 2024 . The students who want to continue their PG level education with the distance learning mode can opt for admission to Kerala University as it offers admission to various PG distance learning courses.   By taking admission to the PG course in this university, the candidate will continue their education without attending any of the classes or visiting any educational institutions. 

• MA : Kerala University SDE offers Master of Arts programs in Hindi, Economics, Sociology, History, and Political Science. Students with bachelor’s degrees in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply. The admissions process will be based on the results of the previous year’s examination. 
• MSc : Kerala University offers two top specializations in the master of science, which are MSc Mathematics and MSc Computer Science . Those students who want to apply for MSc Mathematics must have their BSc in Mathematics or Statistics with a 5.5 CGPA . Apart from that, for MSc Computer Science eligibility, BSc Computer Science , BSc Electronics, or BCA with a 5 CGPA is compulsory.
• MCom: Kerala University SDE offers an MCom program at the PG level. Candidates must require 45% scores in their Undergraduate programs like BCom. Computer Application, B.Com. Tourism and Travel Management, and many more.

Eligibility Criteria for Kerala University Distance Education

• Candidates need to pass the 10+2 examination from a recognized Board to be admitted to any stream of UG.
• For admission to BSC in Computer Science and Mathematics, candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board. Mathematics must be one of the optional subjects.
• Candidates who possess a 3-year Diploma in engineering subjects approved by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, are eligible for the above course.
• Candidates who want to be admitted to Postgraduate courses should have at least a graduation degree with a minimum of 45% marks in the related subject required for a master’s degree.
• A B.Sc (Vocational) degree or a degree in Mathematics or Statistics must be admitted to the M.Sc in Computer Science and Mathematics program. The subject of mathematics should be included in the graduation curriculum.

Kerala University Distance Education Courses List

Kerala university distance education fee structure, relaxation for sebcs & sc/st candidates.

The minimum marks requirement is 55% for M.Sc in Computer Science and Mathematics. But for socially and economically backward classes (SEBCs) & SC/ST candidates need only 53% and 40% marks. About Kerala University Distance Education (IDEKU)

Kerala University has launched the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) to provide distance programs. About 10 undergraduate & 12 postgraduate programs are offered in distance mode at IDEKU. The official portal of IDEKU is www.ideku.net . It has 19 permanent faculty members and 9 full-time contract faculty members. All the faculty members have different academic backgrounds.

The university of kerala has commenced the online application process for its four-year degree programs for the academic session 2024-25. prospective candidates interested in undergraduate admissions can apply through the official website at keralauniversity.ac.in. the application deadline is june 7, 2024, 5:00 pm. eligible applicants, including those awaiting higher secondary examination results, can apply for programs such as b.a, b.sc, b.com, among others, with the option to choose up to 20 preferences..

Kerala University Admission 2024 : The University of Kerala has started the online application process for four-year degree programmes. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for undergraduate admissions for the session 2024-25 through the official website at keralauniversity.ac.in.

According to the schedule, candidates need to register by 5:00 PM on June 7, 2024. Applicants can apply for undergraduate programs like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, and others. They can pick up to 20 options. Detailed information about the main, minor, and specialized subjects for each course is provided to help candidates choose easily. There are 16 main courses and 51 minor courses.

• Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary (HS) examination to be considered for admission.
• Even if you're awaiting your HS results, you can still apply.
• This eligibility applies to undergraduate courses like Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom).

Central University of Kerala has invited online applications for admission to various Post Graduate Programme offered by the University for the Academic Year 2024-25.

Programmes offered : L.L.M. (Master of Law); M.A. Economics; M.A. English & Comparative Literature; M.A. Hindi & Comparative Literature; M.A. International Relations & Political Science; M.A. Kannada; M.A. Linguistics & Language Technology; M.A. Malayalam; M.A. Public Administration & Policy Studies; M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration); M.B.A. Tourism & Travel Management; M.Com. (Master of Commerce); M.Ed. (Master of Education); M.P.H. (Master of Public Health); M.Sc. Biochemistry; M.Sc. Botany; M.Sc. Chemistry; M.Sc. Computer Science; M.Sc. Environmental Science; M.Sc. Genomic Science; M.Sc. Geology; M.Sc. Mathematics; M.Sc. Physics; M.Sc. Yoga Therapy; M.Sc. Zoology; M.S.W. (Master of Social Work).

Applicants should have appeared in the Common University Entrance Test - Post Graduate [CUET(PG)]-2024 as per the eligibility criteria of Central University of Kerala.

Selection will be based on the score of CUET PG 2024.

Application: Applications are to be registered at the ‘Admission PG’ link at https://www.cukerala.ac.in/ latest by 22 May 2024.

Application fee is Rs.300/- for GEN/OBC/EWS categories. There is no additional fee for registering for more than one course.

Those who do not have any of the required certificates/documents shall upload a declaration/ undertaking.

Provisional rank list will be published at the website on 29 May 2024 (tentative).

Applicants may raise the grievance, if any, regarding the rank list on 30 th & 31 st May 2024.

The Final Rank list will be published on 1 June 2024.
