1-minute Speech on My Favorite Book

Good day, everyone. I’m here to talk about my favorite book, an enchanting tale called “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

“The Little Prince” is a small book with big ideas. It’s a story about a young prince who travels from planet to planet, meeting different inhabitants. Each one has a unique lesson to teach. So, it’s not just a book, it’s a journey across the universe, where every stop is a new lesson about life.

This book is special because it’s for kids and grown-ups. As a child, you enjoy the prince’s exciting space travels. As an adult, you appreciate the life lessons. It’s like a magic box full of surprises that change as you grow older.

The characters in “The Little Prince” are unforgettable. There’s a fox who teaches the prince about friendship. There’s a rose that teaches him about love. There’s a businessman who teaches him about what’s truly important in life. These characters make the book a treasure chest of wisdom.

One of the best parts of “The Little Prince” is its beautiful, simple language. It uses easy words to express deep thoughts. It shows us that you don’t need big words to share big ideas.

In conclusion, “The Little Prince” is my favorite book because it’s a journey, a treasure chest and a magic box. It’s a book that grows with you, teaching you something new each time you read it. I encourage you all to read this wonderful book. I promise, it’s an adventure you won’t forget. Thank you.

2-minute Speech on My Favorite Book

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today, I want to share with you my favorite book. Its title is ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’. A book that I hold dear to my heart. It’s not just a book, it’s a journey, a journey through the innocent eyes of a young girl named Scout.

‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is a story that takes us back in time, to a small town in the 1930s. This is a time when people were struggling with the Great Depression. The book is written by Harper Lee. It presents a vivid picture of life and the challenges of that time.

One reason why I love this book is its characters. Scout, her brother Jem, and their friend Dill are such lovable characters. They are just kids, full of curiosity, wild imaginations, and a sense of justice. Then there’s Atticus Finch, Scout and Jem’s father. He’s a lawyer, a soft-spoken man who respects all people, and who has a strong sense of right and wrong.

The plot of ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is another reason why it’s my favorite book. It’s a story filled with suspense, drama, and life lessons. It’s a story about a black man wrongly accused of a crime. Atticus Finch, in his fight for justice, teaches his kids and us, the readers, some valuable lessons about standing up for what’s right, even when the world is against you.

The language used in ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is simple yet rich. Harper Lee has a way of making you feel like you are right there, in that small town, experiencing everything with the characters. She has a way of making you laugh, cry, and think deeply about the world around you.

Finally, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is my favorite book because of its powerful themes. This book talks about racism, injustice, the loss of innocence, and the importance of moral education. It’s a book that makes you think, it makes you question, and it makes you want to be a better person.

In conclusion, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is more than a book to me. It’s a guide, a friend, a mirror reflecting society. I believe everyone should read this book at least once in their life. To me, it’s not just my favorite book, it’s a treasure. Thank you.

My Favourite Book

Books are friends who will never abandon you. This saying rings true for me because books have always been there for me. I like to read books. They have the ability to transport us through worlds without requiring us to leave our current location.  Books have the power to transport people all over the world without them having to leave their homes. My parents and teachers always encouraged me to read when I was younger.  Harry Potter, on the other hand, will always be my favourite book.

J.K. Rowling, one of our generation's most eminent writers, wrote the Harry Potter series. These books depict the wizarding world and its operations. J.K. Rowling has done such a good job of painting a picture of this world that it feels real. Despite the fact that the series consists of seven books, I have a personal favourite.  When I first started reading the book, it immediately piqued my interest. Despite having read all of the previous parts, none of the books piqued my interest as much as this one did.

The introduction of the other wizard schools is one of the things about this book that most excites me. The Triwizard Tournament concept is one of the most brilliant ideas I've seen in the Harry Potter series. In addition, some of my favourite characters appear in this book. Rowling's description of that character's aura and personality is simply brilliant. Furthermore, it made me a bigger fan of the series.Despite the fact that the books are set in the world of wizards and magic, the Harry Potter series contains many lessons for young people to learn.

For starters, it teaches us the value of friendship. I've read a lot of books, but I've never come across a friendship like Harry, Hermoine, and Ron's. Throughout the books, these three musketeers stayed together and never gave up. It taught me the importance of having a good friend.Furthermore, the Harry Potter series taught me that no one is perfect. Everyone carries both good and evil within them. This aided me in making better decisions and becoming a better person. We see how even the most flawed characters, such as Snape, had goodness within them. Similarly, even the nicest characters, such as Dumbledore, had flaws. This altered my attitude toward people and made me more considerate.

Finally, these books provided me with hope. They taught me what hope is and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It gave me the courage to hold on to hope even in the darkest of times, just as Harry had done his entire life. These are some of the most important lessons I took away from Harry Potter. In conclusion, while many films have been made based on the books. Nothing beats the essence and uniqueness of the books. The details and inclusiveness of books cannot be replaced by any other form of media. As a result, The Goblet of Fire is still my favourite book.

Essay About My Favourite Book

Reading my favourite book is like a magical journey into a world of exciting places and wonderful characters. I love my favourite book because it taught me the importance of friendship, adventures in life and some important life lessons. The protagonist in the story of my favourite book discovers special abilities while embarking on his journey of self-discovery. I aspire to do the same in my life. The story had lots of twists and turns and the protagonist had to show resilience and courage to sail through. I learnt about courage, loyalty, and friendship from this main character.

After reading my favourite book, my life changed a lot. I started seeing the world with a sense of wonder, and it influenced how I made my life choices. I became wiser at making important decisions in my everyday life. My favourite book and its main character served as an inspiration for me and turned me into someone who is now more open to welcoming life’s challenges and adventures.

My Favourite Book Essay in English for Class 10:

My favourite book is ‘Malgudi Days’ by R. K. Narayan. This literal masterpiece exhibits the simplistic rural life in India. Through the course of the 32 stories, it captures the essence of small-town life, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary through Narayan's keen observations. I find it wonderful that the stories, set against the backdrop of a fictional South Indian town, delve into the lives of its diverse inhabitants, showcasing the beauty found in the mundane.

The book iterates universal themes and is an absolute delight to read. It is like a reservoir of valuable life wisdom. The culture of India exhibited through the stories, and the complex characters with their mundane lives make this book worth reading. As I navigate through its stories, the beauty inherent in ordinary everyday life resonates with me deeply. The author, R. K. Narayan is adept at storytelling and emphasizes the profound lessons that could be learnt through the various characters of the story. The life’s intricacies are depicted through the rural lens and the diverse stories with different characters make it my all-time favourite book to read. Each time, when I want to get lost in the nuances of these beautiful fictional characters, the old societal dynamics, human relationships etc. I read this book.

In the present modern world, which is rapidly changing, my favourite book, ‘Malgudi Days’ serves as a poignant reminder of enduring human experiences which is the result of the simplistic life led by the characters. I believe his book will keep on resonating with its readers across generations. As modern society grapples with the challenges of complex lifestyles and fast-paced living, the narratives in ‘Malgudi Days’ encourage a pause to reflect on the significance of human connections, the value of simplicity, and the importance of embracing the ordinary joys of life.

My Favourite Book Essay Harry Potter:

My all-time favourite book to read is ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ by J. K. Rowling. This book is considered one of the classics and captivates readers from all age groups around the globe. When I first read this enchanting book, I was lost in the intricate magical world of Hogwarts. The book stirs up my imagination and becomes like a timeless gateway into a world of wonder. I also love J. K. Rowling’s distinctive writing style. She weaves the themes of friendship, courage, and the battle between good and evil so effortlessly. My favourite character from the novel is ‘Harry Potter’ who is also the protagonist of the story. Whenever I sit alone to read this book, the transformative journey of Harry Potter gives me false hope of some magical world. I get completely absorbed in the world of wizards and magical creatures. In my opinion, the author has artistically fabricated the world of magic where everything is possible through the means of magical spells.

One of the most prominent themes that runs throughout the course of the book is the theme of friendship. I enjoyed reading about the friendship which is exhibited between Harry, Ron, and Hermione. These three characters share a genuine friendship and the importance of forming genuine connections is emphasized by the author. It is through means of genuine bonds, that we can hope to overcome difficulties in life.

There are several other themes which are highlighted in my favourite book. The theme of courage which is exhibited by my favourite character, ‘Harry’ instils confidence in my mind as well. When Harry fights the three-headed dog to save his friends. I learnt how controlling fear can help us triumph over anything. The book also teaches us that good always wins over evil. The protagonist Harry also has a face-to-face incident with Lord Voldemort who is projected as the lord of darkness and evil. The book traces the complexities of morality and also reiterates the fact that humans always stand on the winning side if they are able to make the right choices and decisions. I often related to this theme mentioned in the book strongly as I get reminded of how worthy it is to have a strong, resilient mind to make the right choices for oneself in everyday life. There is an intricate description of magical landscapes in my favourite book of Harry Potter. The author has elaborated on the rich details of Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest. The humour, mystery, wonder and suspense created throughout the book is enough to captivate the minds of the readers. The witty dialogues and clever wordplay contribute to the overall enjoyment of the book. Whenever I read this book, I instantly get engaged in the unfolding plot even though I have read this book many times. The charm and wit of the main characters can entertain the reader over and over again.

I love reading this book because it has taught me to love magic within the ordinary and to never stop believing in the extraordinary. In my opinion, the book, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone’ should be read by people who are deeply interested in learning core human values through the means of a magical world and its fictional characters.

My Favourite Book Essay Example #1

Books have a unique way of transporting the reader to a different world, and for me, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee is one such book. This novel has been my favourite book for many years now. It explores various themes, including racial injustice, morality, and the loss of innocence. The characters in the novel are complex and well-developed, making it a must-read for anyone who loves literature. In this essay, I will discuss why “To Kill a Mockingbird” is my favourite book, and how it has impacted my life.

One of the most significant themes explored in “To Kill a Mockingbird” is racial injustice. The novel is set in the deep south of the United States during the 1930s, a time when racial segregation was rampant. The story follows the trial of Tom Robinson, a black man accused of raping a white woman. The way the trial is conducted and the verdict that is reached highlights the injustice that was prevalent during that time. Through the character of Atticus Finch, the novel shows the importance of standing up for what is right, even if it means going against societal norms. The theme of racial injustice is still relevant in today’s world, and “To Kill a Mockingbird” serves as a reminder of the need to fight against discrimination and prejudice.

Another theme explored in “To Kill a Mockingbird” is morality. The novel teaches valuable lessons about right and wrong, and the importance of empathy and understanding. Through the character of Atticus Finch, the novel shows the importance of treating everyone with respect and dignity, regardless of their race or social status. The novel also highlights the need for courage and integrity, even in the face of adversity. The moral lessons taught in the novel are essential for everyone, and they have impacted my life greatly.

One of the things that make “To Kill a Mockingbird” such an intriguing read is the complex characters that are well-developed. The character of Scout Finch, the narrator of the story, grows and matures throughout the novel, and her perspectives on life change as she gains more understanding of the world around her. Atticus Finch, Scout’s father, is a complex character who is respected in the community for his honesty and integrity. The novel also explores the character of Boo Radley, who is misunderstood by the community but is ultimately shown to be kind-hearted. The characters in the novel are relatable, and their stories stay with the reader long after the novel has ended.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee is a timeless classic that has impacted many readers around the world. The novel explores themes of racial injustice, morality, and the loss of innocence, and the characters are complex and well-developed. The story teaches valuable lessons about right and wrong, and the importance of empathy and understanding. For me, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is more than just a book; it is a reminder of the need to stand up for what is right, and to treat everyone with respect and dignity.

My Favourite Book Essay Example #2

Reading has always been one of my favorite pastimes, and throughout the years, I have read countless books that have captured my heart and imagination. However, out of all the books I have read, one stands out as my absolute favorite – and that is “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. This book is a timeless classic that has touched the hearts of many, including myself. In this essay, I will be discussing the plot, the characters, and the themes explored in “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

The plot of “To Kill a Mockingbird” is centered around the life of a young girl named Scout Finch and her family, who live in the small town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the 1930s. The main conflict of the story arises when Scout’s father, Atticus Finch, a lawyer, is appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man who is falsely accused of raping a white woman. Throughout the book, we see how Atticus, Scout, and her brother Jem navigate the racial tensions in their town, and how they fight against the prejudices of their neighbors. The resolution of the story is both heart-warming and heart-wrenching, as we see the consequences of the trial and the impact it has on the Finch family.

The characters in “To Kill a Mockingbird” are some of the most memorable and well-developed characters in all of literature. Scout, the protagonist, is a young girl who is both curious and innocent, and her growth throughout the story is both inspiring and relatable. Jem, her older brother, is a caring and protective sibling who is forced to confront the harsh realities of the world around him. And of course, Atticus Finch, the wise and compassionate lawyer who serves as a moral compass for the entire town. Each character in the book is unique and multi-dimensional, and their interactions with each other create a rich and complex narrative.

The themes explored in “To Kill a Mockingbird” are numerous and thought-provoking. One of the main themes is the exploration of racial inequality and prejudice in the American South during the 1930s. Through the lens of Scout and her family, we see the devastating effects of racism on both the black and white communities in Maycomb. Another important theme is the idea of personal growth and empathy. Throughout the story, we see how Scout and Jem learn to understand and appreciate the perspectives of others, and how their experiences shape their understanding of the world.

In conclusion, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is a book that has stood the test of time and continues to be relevant today. Its powerful themes and memorable characters have captured the hearts and minds of readers for generations, and it remains one of the most influential books in American literature. For me, it is not just a favorite book, but a book that has shaped my understanding of the world and inspired me to be a better person.

My Favourite Book Essay Example #3

Books have always been an integral part of my life. They are a source of knowledge, entertainment, and inspiration. Among the numerous books that I have read, one stands out as my favorite, and that is “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. Published in 1960, this novel has become a classic of modern American literature. It explores themes of racism, justice, and morality through the eyes of a young girl named Scout. In this essay, I will explain why this book is my favorite and why I recommend it to others.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” is my favorite book because of its powerful message against racism. The novel is set in the deep south of America in the 1930s, a time when racial discrimination was rampant. The story follows the life of Scout, a young girl growing up in a small town. Her father, Atticus Finch, is a lawyer who defends a black man accused of raping a white woman. The trial is a symbol of the deep-rooted racism in society and highlights the injustice that African Americans faced at the time. Through Scout’s innocent eyes, we see the reality of racism and its damaging effects on individuals and society as a whole.

Another reason why “To Kill a Mockingbird” is my favorite book is the well-developed characters. Each character is unique and has their own story to tell. Scout, the protagonist, is a feisty young girl who questions the world around her. Her brother Jem is a caring and protective sibling, while Atticus is a wise and compassionate father. The novel also features Boo Radley, a recluse who is misunderstood by the townspeople, and Tom Robinson, the black man who is wrongly accused of a crime he did not commit. The characters are so well-written that they come to life on the pages of the book, making the story both engaging and memorable.

Lastly, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is my favorite book because of its thought-provoking themes of morality and justice. The novel raises important questions about what is right and wrong, and how we should treat others. Atticus Finch’s character embodies the ideals of justice and fairness, and his words of wisdom have inspired many readers. The book also challenges the reader’s beliefs and values, making us reflect on our own attitudes towards race, prejudice, and discrimination.

In conclusion, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is a timeless classic that has touched the hearts of many readers. Its themes of racism, justice, and morality are still relevant today, and the characters are unforgettable. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the complexities of the human experience and the importance of empathy and compassion. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves literature and wants to be inspired by a great story.

My favourite book.

Books are the treasure of knowledge. They are the most valuable in the world. It has priceless treasure which can’t be snatched by anyone, never divided and stolen. I have read a number of books but I like “Muna Madan.”

‘Muna Madan’ is a story of Muna and Madan. It is a love story book like Laila Majnu. Madan, due to his poor economic condition, was forced to go to Tibet to earn money. After a few years, when he was returning home with his friends, he got a fever on the way and his friend left him to die. Fortunately, he was met by a local person. He was cared for, treated and at last his life was saved. Madan touched his feet and said, “Man can be great not on the basis of caste but on the basis of his behavior.” He further said, “Food can’t be sweet without hunger.” The poem is composed in such a melody that anyone can shade tears while reading it. His friend told his wife Muna that Madan died on the way while he was returning home. She couldn’t tolerate this sad news and died before Madan returned home. In her absence, he sang a tragedy song, and later the story was completed.

The book, though, based on tragedy, gives many important lessons to people. It removes the distance between rich and poor. It removes the feeling of racial discrimination. He also said, “The great thing in society is to serve others.” By serving others we can feel satisfaction and pleasure. Our thinking should be above personal interest. We should devote to help and serve mankind which finally justifies to a human being.

Finally, not more than 10 times I went through the poem. But it always looks interesting. I’m proud of the book and can never forget “Muna Madan.”

My Favourite Book – ‘The Ministry of Utmost Happiness’ by Arundhati Roy.

‘Published in 2017, this book marks the return of Arundhati Roy to the fictional world, after a long hiatus following her acclaimed debut novel, ‘The God of Small Things,’ which won the Man Booker Prize in 1997. ‘The Ministry of Utmost Happiness is a complex and sprawling narrative that weaves together multiple storylines and characters.’

‘This novel is notable for its rich prose and the vivid imaginary skills of the author where she has portrayed the complexities and diversities in Indian society. The main character, Anjum, is a transgender woman who creates a home for herself in a graveyard in Delhi.’

My Favourite Book – ‘The God of Small Things’ by Arundhati Roy.

‘The God of Small Things was the debut novel of Arundhati Roy, published in 1997 and won the Man Booker Prize for fiction. This novel is set in the Indian State of Kerala and weaves a complex narrative, where different themes such as family, love, social injustice and the consequences of societal norms are explored.’

‘This novel employs a non-linear narrative structure, adding to its complexities. This book alternates between two time periods: the main storyline of 1960 and a later period of 1993. This novel revolves around the lives of fraternal twins Rahel and Estha, who were separated after a traumatic incident when they were kids. Their relationship is central to the story, and the narrative explores their individual struggles and the enduring bond between them.’

I consider this novel my favourite because it delves into the rigid caste system and social norms that pervade Indian society, particularly in Kerala. It is set against the backdrop of significant political and historical events in India, such as the rise of communism and the influence of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala. This is a beautifully written emotionally powerful novel that tackles themes of love, loss and social injustice.

Each of these components tells you how habits are formed, maintained, and, ultimately, transformed. This book helps in understanding the mechanics of the habit loop, giving readers a gain to valuable tool to reshare their behaviours intentionally.’

Shaili Contractor

Key Points To Note While Writing An Essay On My Favourite Book For Lower Primary Classes

Importance of books in life, 10 lines on ‘my favourite book’ for kids, a paragraph on ‘my favourite book’ for kids, short essay on ‘my favourite book’ in english for kids, long essay on ‘my favourite book’ for children, what will your child learn by writing an essay on ‘my favourite book’.

Reading is the most effective learning method, and we all know the value of children reading literature. In truth, books have always been and will remain the greatest path to knowledge. If you’ve ever pondered how to start reading without becoming weary, this is your opportunity to do so. Continue reading these sample essays on ‘My Favourite Book’ for classes 1, 2, and 3 or ‘The Book I Like The Most’, and get some ideas for writing an essay on your own.

Essay writing on ‘my favourite book’ is easy. Let us guide you with some points to remember.

  • Begin by writing an introduction about the author and some background information on the book.
  • Then, in a clean, straightforward manner, compose the primary text, and end with a proper conclusion.

Books are vital in each child’s life. They bring kids to a fantasy universe, introduce them to the big world out there, and improve their reading and writing skills, memory, and cognition. We cannot emphasise the value of literature in the kids’ lives as it expands their minds and serves as portals into the universe surrounding us. They leave a long-lasting impression on children.

Younger children can be expected to write their essay in a simple format. Guide them to jot down their points and write them out in grammatically correct sentences. Below are ten points on the essay for class 1 & class 2:

  • Books are a treasure trove of knowledge.
  • Reading books is an excellent habit that gives us insight and expertise.
  • They help us improve our brain power and expand our vocabulary.
  • I like reading books about fairy tales.
  • Fairy tale books have fascinating stories about fairies and their companions in fairyland.
  • I read these books every night before going to sleep.
  • The book I’m currently reading has some lovely stories with big pictures!
  • The book’s illustration makes it more enjoyable to read.
  • The pictures in the book make it easy to imagine the fantasy world.
  • My friends and I always exchange our books, so we get to read many new books.

Books are our great buddies since they provide all the information about the world. One of my favourite books is ‘The Jungle Book’.  Rudyard Kipling wrote ‘The Jungle Book’ in 1894. The story revolves around Mowgli, a human kid raised by wolves in a wild forest.

Bagheera, the loving panther, finds a small boy in the jungle and delivers him to the wolf pack. Mama wolf then raises Mowgli as her baby. Daddy wolf teaches Mowgli all the skills of the forest. Mowgli understands the jungle laws and spends most of his time with Baloo and Bagheera. Sher Khan, a dangerous tiger, wants to eat Mowgli. So Mowgli thinks of a plan to rescue himself and succeeds. Everybody in the forest gets happy.

Reading is something I enjoy doing. I’ve read many novels. But, one book holds a special place in my heart, my favourite book, Panchatantra, written by Vishnu Sharma. It has many stories with pictures. Every story has a moral which teaches something good and meaningful in life. I enjoy reading picture books, and this book offered me a variety of stories.

One of my favourite stories from Panchatantra is ‘The Foolish Lion And The Clever Rabbit’. Once upon a time, there was a greedy lion who used to kill animals. Everyone was afraid of him. To reduce the senseless killing, the animals requested the lion to spare them the fear and decided to send one animal to the lion each day. The lion agreed to this agreement. One day, the animals sent a rabbit. He was an intelligent creature. He reached the lion’s cave late and told him that another big lion had stopped him on the way. He told the greedy lion that this second lion was challenging him. The lion felt very angry and decided to teach a good lesson to the other lion. He asked the rabbit to take him to the place where he met the other lion. The clever rabbit took him to a well and told him that the other lion lived in that well. When the greedy lion looked inside the well, he saw his own reflection and mistook it for the second lion. He jumped into the well to attack his competitor but drowned. The rabbit saved himself and the entire forest because of his quick wit and cleverness.

There are many such stories of wit and intelligence in the Panchatantra books. They introduce us to virtues such as compassion, bravery, wisdom, mental presence, and togetherness.

Books are loyal companions that will never abandon you. This holds true for me because you can always find books with and around me.

Books can transport us to other universes without leaving our current location. Books also help us expand our creativity. My family and teachers always motivated me to read and instilled in me the value of books. The book I like most is the Panchatantra. It is an extremely fascinating book. I have finished the book, but I still continue to read it because it is so entertaining!

One of the most prominent Indian authors and scholars, Vishnu Sharma, wrote Panchatantra in Sanskrit in the 3rd century BC. The book was later translated into many different languages. It is a collection of several stories. Vishnu Sharma has done a good job of giving moral life lessons by showcasing the activity of animals. I enjoy the book because it has many stories I love and cherish.

My mother bought this book for me as my birthday present. When I first read this book, it captured my attention instantly. Panchatantra has a unique narration which makes it my favourite book. It teaches us how humble, loving, and caring people always succeed. The book also showcases how bad qualities like cunningness, jealousy, anger and cheating can get you into trouble.

Panchatantra is a narrative of several animal characters in various stories, including a lion named Pingalaka, two bulls named Karnataka and Sanjivaka, a fox named Damanaka, deer named Chars, and so many others. These animals showcase human behaviour that we come across in our daily life.

Even though the book has a variety of stories, the story of The Crab and The Stork is close to my heart. It teaches us about presence of mind and intelligence. The story begins with a stork that was searching for food but could not find any as he was old. Finally, he plans to catch a fish to eat. He goes to a pond and pretends to be sad and depressed. Seeing him gloomy, a fish and a crab ask him why he is upset. The stork makes up a story that humans were going to inhabit the pond to grow crops. They are convinced by this story and are worried about how to stop this. The stork takes all the fish, frogs and other marine animals out of the pond, and slyly uses them for his meal. Finally, it is the turn of the crab to go with the stork, but the crab is aware that his friends are dead. So, the crab uses his intelligence, grabs the stork’s neck, and kills him to save himself.

Panchatantra stories like this one have taught me to think before taking any action. The book educates me on optimism and how to see the brightness at the end of the tunnel. It has made me realise the value of being good to all in any situation.

Where can we find good books?

Finding good books is a difficult task. Therefore, here are some excellent places to find good books. Here are some of the best tips for finding good books of a particular genre. These tips will help you to find a good book:-

1. Goodreads

Goodreads is a website having a good list of interesting books to read. Millions of books are rated on the site, and you can quickly get hands on some good books. Lots of authors have good active profiles on the website, and you can find the books they like.

2. Read the summary of a book

Surfing the internet for some good book titles is worth it. It is a great way to figure out the best books. You can go to many resources where you can find lots of book summaries. There is a warning, though, when it comes to summaries because reading them is much like getting the notes from your friend instead of going to the class. You are getting a second-hand account for the source material, and that can be good for getting through that material quickly and seeing what at least somebody else believes is the most important point from that material.

3. Finding according to your favorite genre

Every person has their taste and likes. It can be any genre, whether fiction or nonfiction. Identify your favorite genre. Then search for books according to it. It helps easy to find great recommendations.

My favorite books

3. The secret

It is about following your passion and manifesting your thoughts into real life. It is a high self- help book to begin your life.

Other great books are the power of habit by Charles Duhigg, Spark by John Ratey, and a lot more.

It makes you a more imaginative and more intelligent person. Useful reading is helpful. Reading only helps if it’s done often. You can learn through other people’s struggles and can help yourself. You can read it repeatedly. You can pick according to your own choice. Set your own pace.

Reading is a skill to be learned. You need to have an open mindset when you are going through a book. There is no such thing as a bad reader but only bad habits of reading.  If you want to change your life, you have to read more. Consider it as your job daily. You are the result of your daily habits and the content you are consuming. If you do not have a good circle, a pleasant environment, you can change yourself by reading books. It causes a mindset to drift. You can find mentors through books. Foundation should be strong to master your life. Reading is a savior in going through a breakthrough.

When you read books, you are more independent and free. It helps you shape as a person and offers an opportunity to grow again. Essay on My Favourite Book: My Favourite Book Essay for Class 3

Geronimo stilton – the hunt for the golden book.

I love reading and my favourite book is from the Geronimo Stilton series, written by the Italian author Elisabetta Dami. ‘Geronimo Stilton – The Hunt for the Golden Book’ is filled with adventures and is an exciting read. The story of the book starts with the central character, Geronimo Stilton, celebrating a successful stint of 10 years of writing. Grandfather Williams throws a party to celebrate, and Geronimo decides to write a book for this occasion. However, his laptop seems to be missing. So, Geronimo and his friends embark on a journey to find his computer and print the new book, just before the party starts. The book captures the interest of young readers and also provides them a bonus read at the end. There is an extra mini mystery at the end of the book, named ‘The Lake Monster’ that has an equally exciting storyline.

Essay on My Favourite Book: My Favourite Book Essay for Class 4

I am very fond of reading books and one of my recent favourites is ‘BFG’ by Roald Dahl. The story starts with a little girl named Sophie being kidnapped by a big friendly giant (BFG) from the orphanage where she stays. She had seen him blowing good dreams into the windows of children that night.

Although she thought she would be eaten by the giant, he was not like the other giants in Giant Country who gobbled up little children. The BFG was a nice and gentle giant who spent his life blowing happy dreams to little children. He spoke a funny language called gobblefunk that made me laugh out loud throughout the book! It’s not surprising that Sophie also loved the way he spoke.

Soon, BFG and Sophie become friends and he takes her to Dream Country where they catch and bottle dreams and nightmares. Sophie also has another adventure with some of the dangerous giants in Giant Country. While she was hiding in a snozzcumber (a cucumber-like vegetable that BFG loved to eat), she gets accidently eaten by an evil giant named Bloodbottler. This was followed by a hilarious description of how BFG saves her from the eyes of the evil giant.

Towards the end of the book, Sophie starts a fight among the evil giants and plots a plan to imprison them with the help of the queen. She goes to Buckingham Palace where she and the BFG meet the queen and inform her about the evil man-eating giants. They eventually capture the giants and imprison them in a deep pit in London.

The book also has impressive illustrations created by Quentin Blake. These pictures add to the charm of the story and make the book a Roald Dahl masterpiece enjoyed by generations of young readers.

2. Ramayana

I love reading books. I have read many books, and am never bored when I am in the company of books.

One book that has influenced me immensely and has become my favourite is the epic Ramayana in English, written by Valmiki (Author), Arshia Sattar (Translator).  The style is simple and the book is very interesting. Once I take up this book I can’t put it down.

The book presents Lord Rama as the embodiment of virtues. We also learn about the sufferings he underwent to uphold his principles. Devi Sita is a devoted wife, ready to undergo any hardship or suffering for her husband.

Bharata is a glorious example of a good brother. He is an embodiment of respect and sacrifice. His love for Rama has no parallel.

There are many other characters in the book and each one plays an important role in the development of the story. Jatayu is one such key character. Hanuman is another. Both were loyal and devoted to Lord Rama.

The Ramayana upholds basic human values such as devotion, loyalty and service, and condemns lowly qualities like avarice, selfishness, and greed for power. This is a book that can be read for a truly spiritual experience.

I have read and re-read it many times. It refreshes my mind and inspires my soul each time.

Essay on My Favourite Book: My Favourite Book Essay for Class 5

1. the magic of the lost temple.

I love reading and one of my favourite books is ‘The Magic of the Lost Temple’ by Sudha Murthy. The book tells the story of twelve-year old Nooni who goes to spend a summer vacation with her grandparents in a village. Nooni is a curious child and she has an urge to abstract information at all times. This sets the scene for a thrilling mystery at the beginning of the book.

Since Nooni stays in Bangalore with her parents, the shift to the village life is enchanting. She finds joy in playing with her cousins, savouring the food cooked by her grandmother, and living the carefree lifestyle led by the villagers. I particularly enjoyed the narration that makes you feel like you are listening to a story told by your grandmother.

Soon Nooni finds a mysterious ancient stepwell in the midst of a forest. She tries to find the secret behind the stepwell with her friends.

‘The Magic of the Lost Temple’ appeals to children and adults alike, as it weaves a story around the uncomplicated life in a rural village. The book also makes a point on issues of social relevance, such as the importance of toilets in villages, the need to give back to the community, and the respect one should have for heritage sites.

I also liked the illustrations in the book; these were in perfect harmony with the characters sketched out by the author. In a nutshell, this is a heartwarming tale of how Nooni experiences the real value of the simple things in life. This is what makes it a memorable read for me.

A good work of literature is the outcome of years of dedication from the author. I generally like books which have stood the test of time and to which succeeding generations provide their seal of approval. I have read a number of books and there are several which are my favourite. This includes the tragedies of Shakespeare, the novels of Charles Dickens and the plays of George Bernard Shaw.

But there is one book that I particularly enjoy reading and that is the great drama, ‘Macbeth’, by Shakespeare.

Macbeth is the story of an ambitious man and an equally ambitious woman, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth respectively. They commit the murder of King Duncan in their own castle, so that Macbeth could become the King.

Macbeth takes over as the King of Scotland and his wife, Lady Macbeth, becomes the queen. After the first murder, Macbeth plans the murder of his chieftain Banquo, Lady Macduff, and her son, because they are closely related to his enemy Macduff.

The characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are very beautifully sketched by Shakespeare. The chief attraction lies in the character of Lady Macbeth.

The instincts that are usually associated with femininity, i.e., motherhood and compassion, are strikingly absent in Lady Macbeth. Instead, she appears to be an ambitious and ruthless person with an insatiable desire for power.

Macbeth teaches us the great moral lesson that the wage of sin is death. Those who take to wrong and immoral courses, like Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, will surely find grief in the course of life. Virtue will surely be rewarded.

3. My Experiments with Truth

We know that food is important for a healthy body. Similarly books are important for a healthy mind. Books are our true friends. They help us understand the world around us. Through books we are able to study the thoughts of different people.

Though I have read many books written by acclaimed authors, “My Experiments with Truth” is my favourite book. It was written by  Mahatma Gandhi , the Father of the Nation. I like the book because of several reasons.

It tells us about the life of the great man who got us freedom from the British. It has been written in a simple and easy-to-understand style. It is very interesting and keeps the reader gripped from beginning to end.

My Experiments with Truth is full of intriguing incidents and moral lessons. Gandhi narrates the stories of  King Harish Chandra  and  Shravan Kumar,  that have influenced him greatly. It is eye opening to read how this great man fought against untouchability and racial discrimination. My Experiments with Truth is a great book indeed!

Speech about my Favourite Book [1,2,3,5 Minutes]

Good morning, teachers and friends,

Today, I want to talk about my favorite book.

My favorite book is “The Jungle Book” by Rudyard Kipling. It is a story about a boy named Mowgli who lives in the jungle with animals. Mowgli is raised by wolves, and his best friends are Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther. Together, they have many exciting adventures in the jungle.

I love this book because it is full of action and fun. Mowgli is brave, and he learns many important lessons from the animals around him. I also like how the animals in the story can talk, and they teach Mowgli how to survive in the wild.

This book makes me feel like I’m in the jungle with Mowgli, running through the trees and meeting different animals. It’s exciting and teaches me about friendship, courage, and kindness.

Reading “The Jungle Book” always makes me happy, and I enjoy it every time I read it. I think everyone should read it because it is a wonderful story.

Thank you for listening!

Short 2, 3 Minute speech about my Favourite Book

This is a very personal and subjective topic. I enjoy reading books that are about different perspectives of a similar situation or event.

I have read many books that have given me insight into how to cope with difficult times in my life. There are also some books that have given me an insight into other cultures and their traditions.

The book, “my Favourite Book RICH DAD POOR DAD,” has been absolutely amazing in terms of teaching me about the importance of family, life lessons, and the power of love.

The book teaches readers how to invest, save money, and build wealth through the power of investing in real estate instead of stocks. The book also provides advice on how to be successful in life.

The rich dad teaches his son about investing and he uses a variety of methods to teach his son about the business including using his own money as an example. The poor dad is more focused on being rich so he uses different methods such as buying lottery tickets and trying to win the lottery.

In the end, the son chooses to follow the rich dad’s advice of investing in real estate which leads him toward success while the poor dad’s advice leads him toward failure because it does not provide any guidance for sustainable success.

I love this book because it is my favorite book. I have read it many times and I am always eager to read it again.

This is my favorite book because I love the way the author writes.

Essay on My Favourite Book

Essay generator.

Books are considered to be a man’s best friend. They are a powerhouse of knowledge and wisdom. It is rightly said that a book is like a garden carried in the pocket. Among the myriad of books I have read, one that stands out as my favourite is Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird.” This timeless classic is not just a book but a profound narrative that intertwines moral growth, racism, and social injustice in a way that resonates with its readers across generations.

Why “To Kill a Mockingbird” is My Favourite Book

Unforgettable characters.

The characters of “To Kill a Mockingbird” are its strongest suit. Scout Finch, the narrator, is a character whose innocence and curiosity about the world around her make the complex themes of the book accessible to readers. Through her eyes, we see the growth and moral development of characters as they navigate through the social fabric of Maycomb, Alabama. Atticus Finch, Scout’s father, embodies integrity and wisdom. He is a moral beacon, not just for his children but for the community, as he defends a black man, Tom Robinson, accused of raping a white woman. The characters are not just figments of fiction but are etched in reality, making readers reflect on their moral compass.

Themes of Moral Integrity and Social Injustice

The book delves deep into themes of racial injustice, moral integrity, and the loss of innocence. Through the trial of Tom Robinson, Harper Lee presents a stark portrayal of the racial inequalities that plagued the American South. But, more than that, the novel is a call to action, urging its readers to stand up against injustice and to strive for empathy and understanding. The character of Atticus Finch serves as a role model, teaching his children and the readers the importance of seeing the world from another’s perspective, emphasizing, “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

A Lesson in Empathy and Understanding

One of the most profound lessons “To Kill a Mockingbird” imparts is the importance of empathy. The novel encourages readers to look beyond the surface, to understand that every person has a story, and often, people act out of the pain and suffering that is not visible to the naked eye. The character of Boo Radley is a prime example. Initially portrayed as a figure of mystery and fear, Boo’s true nature is revealed towards the end, teaching Scout and the readers a valuable lesson about kindness, bravery, and the human capacity for goodness.

Impact and Relevance

“To Kill a Mockingbird” has not only won the Pulitzer Prize but has also become a staple in academic curriculums worldwide, testament to its impact and relevance. Its themes of racial injustice, moral courage, and empathy are as pertinent today as they were in the 1960s. The novel serves as a mirror to society, reflecting the biases and injustices that still exist while also illuminating the path towards understanding, acceptance, and equality.

Personal Reflection

For me, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is more than just a book; it is a journey into the heart of humanity. It has taught me the importance of standing up for what is right, even when the world seems against you. It has shown me the power of empathy, of the need to understand and accept others, regardless of our differences. Atticus Finch’s integrity, courage, and wisdom are qualities I aspire to embody in my own life.

In conclusion, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee is a book that transcends time and age. Its lessons on empathy, justice, and moral integrity are universal. It challenges readers to reflect on their values and prejudices, urging them towards a more compassionate and just world. This book holds a special place in my heart, not just as my favourite book but as a guide to navigating the complexities of the human condition. For anyone looking to understand the essence of humanity, to learn about courage and compassion, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is a must-read. It is a book that changes you, that makes you a better person, and that is why it remains my favourite book.

“My Favourite Book” Essay

Books are very important in life as they provide us with knowledge and educate us. My favourite book is, “ Wings of Fire ” by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam . The book is the autobiography of the 11th President of India who is also known as the Missile Man, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The book has been published in 13 languages and is one of the best autobiographical books I have read so far.

APJ Abdul Kalam was a Tamilian boy who was born into a poverty-stricken family and the book explains how he rose from the economically backward strata of society to the most esteemed position in the Indian Government. Kalam’s autobiography has been named, “Wings of Fire” because he was the man behind ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology in India. The book begins with his childhood and takes the readers for a highly motivational ride through the inspirational life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Wings of Fire was published in 1999 by the Universities Press and co-authored by Arun Tiwari. It also focuses on India’s sustainability and independence in the world of Technology.

My Parents Essay for Students and Children in English

Wings of Fire happens to be my favourite because it is extremely inspirational. The life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam happens to be a game changer for India in terms of science and technology. Further, he was a simple man and his humility and simplicity are appreciated by nearly everyone in the world. Reading about him has been intensely motivating and the book presents the reality of life and how hard work can overcome every obstacle in life. The experience of reading “Wings of Fire” was exactly like Rene Descartes describes, “The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries”.
