A well rounded development of individual knowledge happens not only from textbooks and formal education but more from the learner’s personal experiences, individual inquisitive nature and social surroundings. Homework is an area of importance and to make it more relevant for the NCERT Books classes 6th, 7th and 8th, appropriate strategies and meaningful activities may be suggested to the schools that give more time to child to explore the environment to develop creative thinking.

These activities (like OTBA for class 9 & 11 ) would be so framed that they keep the child interested in subjects and therefore would also help in enhancing the learning power. Homework is one of the areas that need urgent attention. As the students of class VI, VII and VIII develop a certain learning style and want to know and find more and more. Efforts should be made to make homework more creative and interesting so that the students do not feel burdensome while doing the same and the ultimate purpose of providing homework is served.

A survey was conducted through questionnaire prepared by CBSE to collect feedback from parents, teachers, students and other educationists on “Alternatives to Homework at Upper Primary Level” for Class Sixth, Seventh and Eighth so that appropriate strategies and meaningful activities can be designed and suggested to schools. The questions were directed to know the ideal quantity and purpose of the homework, whether homework should be assigned in all the subjects, internet usage should be a part of the homework or not, how homework helps in teaching.

Keeping in view emerging issues, there is a need to think about giving quality homework emphasizing on acquiring applied learning skills. Few points can be kept in mind while designing a quality homework by teachers: 1, Provide students capacity building activities which are followed up and acknowledged like drawing, creative writing, making puzzles, stories, plays, online games, reading online books and craft.

2. Provide them assignment sheets which improve their reading & writing abilities. Homework must enable the student to practice a skill independently. 3. A possible discussion can be held with different children on what they would like to do at home to improve in which ever area they deem necessary. Homework must be designed in a way that maximizes the chances of its completion by the students.

4. Parents should be able to understand the child’s needs and schools suggestions on how to learn mathematics, logical reasoning, etc. by doing puzzles, writing letters, reading to elders from the newspapers, making household lists, recipe making and cooking. 5. Learners who have dyslexia or number difficulty should have practice assignments overcoming their problems.

The child in middle school have a keenness to discover more and prepare for the examination. Learning is about developing new faculties, which become useful as an adult. The years 12 to 15 are years when rules become important, and doing well, excelling are given importance both at home and in the class. As the child grows chronically his/her emotional maturity also grows and there are interests which are beyond just what lessons can give.

The homework assigned should: 1. enhance study habits and practice skills (which learners are able to perform independently) 2. reinforce necessary skills both scholastic and co-scholastic among the learners. 3. enable learners to become independent learners and thinkers and develop among them 21st century skills so that they can participate in Make in India in future. 4. lead to the improvement in the academic achievement of the learner.

5. expand on the existing knowledge of the learners and be a part of the already acquired competencies in the classroom. 6. not put unneeded pressure or stress by including new learning material or difficult material to be worked upon by learners themselves. 7. be CBSE Syllabus based and as per developmental needs of the learners. 8. not require specific resources or technology which is not accessible to all learners. 9. have clearly defined, purposeful, creative and engaging activities.

It is also advised that teachers can refer to Life Skills Manuals, Health Manuals and Environmental Education Manuals which contain age appropriate and interesting activities which can be taken up by the learners individually. These activities can be assigned to learners so as to enhance their life skills, values and make them health conscious.

Homework is needed, and necessary for a teacher to be able to follow up with each child. The correction and feedback on homework is an important input that helps both parents and children to follow up and improve in areas which are needed. The recourse extra classes, can be reduced if the homework is used for learning improvement and acquisition of diverse skills. आज का समय बेहद तनावपूर्ण हो गया है, ऐसे में छुट्टी का एक दिन भी औषधी का काम करता है। बच्चों को पढ़ाई का तनाव, बड़ों को काम और नौकरी का तनाव, औरतों को घर का तनाव, हर कोई किसी न किसी तनाव से घिरा ही रहता है। ऐसे में इन सबसे से एक ब्रेक लेना तो बनता है, जो हमारे शारीरिक और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य दोनों के लिए ज़रुरी होता है।

छुट्टी का दिन पर छोटे-बड़े निबंध (Short and Long Essay on Holiday in Hindi, Chhutti ka Din par Nibandh Hindi mein)

निबंध 1 (300 शब्द).

छुट्टियां हर किसी के जीवन का बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा होती हैं, चाहे वह छात्र हो या कामकाजी। हर कोई एकरसता से उबरने और अपने स्वास्थ्य को बनाए रखने का हकदार है। छुट्टियाँ हमें ऐसा करने में मदद करती हैं।

छात्रों के लिए छुट्टियों का महत्व

जब कोई यह सोचता है कि छात्रों के लिए छुट्टी का क्या मतलब है, तो हम देखते हैं कि यह बच्चों के लिए कितना महत्वपूर्ण है! यह एक ऐसा समय है जब उन्हें आखिरकार पढ़ाई से ब्रेक लेने और अपने शौक को आगे बढ़ाने का मौका मिलता है।

• शौक को पूरा करने का वक़्त

यह वह समय होता है, जब हम अपने शौक को समय दे सकते है और उन्हें पूरा कर सकते हैं। बच्चे नृत्य, गायन, चित्रकारी आदि में रुचि होने पर प्रशिक्षण ले सकते हैं। छात्र शिल्प, मिट्टी के बर्तन बनाने, मोमबत्ती बनाने आदि में भी विशेषज्ञता प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

• नए स्थानों पर जाने का मौका

इसके अलावा, छात्रों को छुट्टी पर नए स्थानों पर जाने का मौका मिलता है। जैसे गर्मियों या सर्दियों की छुट्टियों के दौरान, हम अपने परिवार के साथ विभिन्न शहरों और देशों में जाकर अपनी छुट्टी का बहुत अच्छा उपयोग कर सकते हैं। छुट्टियों के माध्यम से, हमें नए अनुभव और यादें मिलती हैं जो जीवन भर याद रहती हैं।

• परिवार के साथ समय बिताने का मौका

इसके अलावा, यह हमें अपने परिवारों के साथ आराम करने का समय भी देता है। अन्य चचेरे भाई-बहन भी एक-दूसरे के स्थानों पर जाते हैं और वहां समय बिताते हैं। सभी कज़न साथ में खेल खेलते हैं और एक दूसरे के साथ बाहर जाते हैं। इसके अलावा, छात्रों को अपना होमवर्क पूरा करने और पाठ्यक्रम को संशोधित करने के लिए बहुत समय मिलता है।

एक छुट्टी हमें अपने सभी लंबित कार्यों को पूरा करने का मौका देती है। कहीं भी आपको ऐसा व्यक्ति नहीं मिलेगा जो छुट्टियों को नापसंद करता हो। एक स्कूल जाने वाले बच्चे से लेकर कामकाजी वयस्क तक, हर कोई छुट्टियों का इंतजार करता है। छुट्टी को आराम करने और आनंद लेने के लिए एक शानदार अवसर के रूप में देखा जाता है।

निबंध – 2 (400 शब्द)

हम अपनी मर्जी के स्वयं मालिक होते हैं क्योंकि हम अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार अपने समय का प्रबंधन करते हैं। हम खेलते हैं, पसंदीदा स्थानों पर जाते हैं, अपने शौक को पूरा करते हैं और आराम करते हैं। रोज सुबह उठने और स्कूल जाने, फिर वापस घर आने, दोपहर का भोजन करने, खेलने और फिर घर का काम पूरा करना, रोज-रोज एक ही दिनचर्या से हम उब जाते हैं।

कामकाजी लोगों के लिए छुट्टियों का महत्व

कामकाजी लोगों के लिए छुट्टियां कुछ हद तक वैसी ही होती हैं, जैसा छात्रों के लिए होती हैं। वास्तव में, छात्रों की तुलना में बड़ो के लिए अधिक महत्व रखती हैं। हालांकि वे वयस्क हैं, फिर भी उन्हें छुट्टियों का अधिक इंतजार रहता हैं। ऐसा क्यों? क्योंकि उनका जीवन अधिक तनावपूर्ण होता है, साथ ही उन्हें उतनी छुट्टियां नहीं मिलतीं, जितनी छात्रों को मिलती हैं।

• आराम करने का मौका

सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात, छुट्टी चाहे कितनी ही कम क्यों न हो, आराम करने का एक बड़ा मौका देती है। बड़ो के लिए ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण होती है, क्योंकि वे बिना ब्रेक के पूरे दिन अथक परिश्रम करते हैं। कुछ तो घर आने पर भी काम करते हैं। यह उनके कार्यक्रम को बहुत व्यस्त बनाता है। उन्हें आराम करने के लिए बहुत कम समय मिल पाता है। एक छुट्टी से आराम मिलने पर व्यक्ति अगले दिन ज्यादा फुर्ती से काम करता है। अतः छुट्टी मिलना बेहद जरुरी है।

• संबंध को मजबूती मिलती है

व्यस्त कार्यक्रम के कारण कामकाजी लोगों को अपने परिवार के साथ बिताने के लिए बहुत कम समय मिलता है। पैसा कमाने के चक्कर में वे अपनों से दूर हो जाते हैं। छुट्टियां उन्हें अपने संबंध को मजबूत करने और संशोधन करने का सही मौका प्रदान करती है।

• खुश रहने के लिए जरुरी

दूसरे शब्दों में, एक कामकाजी व्यक्ति को जीवन को सुचारू रुप से काम करने के लिए छुट्टियों की आवश्यकता होती है। छुट्टियों के बिना वे दबाव का सामना करेंगे। जब वे बिना रुके, निरंतर काम करेंगे तो वे उत्पादक नहीं बन पाएंगे। आखिरकार, जब कोई व्यक्ति कमाता है, तो उन्हें समय-समय पर कुछ मनोरंजन पर खर्च करना चाहिए; ताकि वे स्वयं खुश रह सकें और खुशी से काम भी कर सकें।

इस प्रकार, हम देखते हैं कि छुट्टियां हमारे काम और खेल के बीच एक महान संतुलन बनाए रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती हैं। हमें अधिकतर छुट्टियां मनाने और उसे बुद्धिमानी से बिताने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए, ताकि हम अपना समय बर्बाद न करें। कभी भी छुट्टी बर्बाद नहीं करना चाहिए, क्योंकि वह संख्या में बहुत कम होता हैं। जहां हम वास्तव में आराम कर सकते हैं या बेहतर तरीके से उपयोग कर सकते हैं।

निबंध – 3 (500 शब्द)

जिस प्रकार हमारे शरीर के लिए नींद आवश्यक है, उसी तरह छुट्टियां विश्राम और बदलाव के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं। छुट्टी हमारी दिनचर्या की एकरसता से राहत प्रदान करती हैं। यह हमारी मानसिक और भावनात्मक भलाई के लिए भी अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हैं। छुट्टियां हमें अपनी दिनचर्या से फुर्सत देती हैं और हमें खुद को तरोताजा करने और नए सिरे से काम करने में मदद करती है।

छुट्टी पर हिल स्टेशन का भ्रमण

साल भर कड़ी मेहनत करने के बाद, बच्चे और बड़े, सभी समान रूप से गर्मियों की छुट्टियों का बेसब्री से इंतजार करते हैं। चूंकि बड़ो को गर्मी की ज्यादा छुट्टियां नहीं मिलती हैं, लेकिन बच्चों को अपने शेड्यूल से जरुर ब्रेक मिल जाता है।

गर्मियों के ब्रेक के दौरान मेरा परिवार कुछ दिनों के लिए एक हिल स्टेशन पर जाता है। हमारे पास एक छोटी सी कॉटेज है और हम प्रकृति की गोद में शहर के जीवन की हलचल से दूर, खुद की कंपनी का आनंद लेते हैं।

हम क्या-क्या करते हैं ?

हम कार्ड, कैरम बोर्ड और शतरंज जैसे इनडोर गेम खेलते हैं। हम शाम को टहलने जाते हैं। ठंडी ताज़ी हवा लेना, देर रात तक टहलना, सड़क के किनारे से पकौड़े और मकई लेना मुझे वाकई सुखद लगता है। जब हम अपनी कॉटेज में वापस आते हैं तो हम थक चुके होते हैं लेकिन बहुत खुश होते हैं और रात को अच्छी नींद आती हैं।

हिल स्टेशन का सुखद मौसम

एक अच्छी रात की नींद के बाद पक्षियों का चहकना और सुनहरी धूप हमें धीरे से जगाती है। सुबह की चाय की एक गर्म प्याली और एक हिल स्टेशन का सुखद मौसम, हममें एक नया जोश भर देता है।

छुट्टियों का भरपूर आनंद

मैं अपनी गर्मियों की छुट्टियों के दौरान कई कहानी की किताबें पढ़ती हूं और इसके हर पल का आनंद लेती हूं। मैं अपनी गर्मियों की छुट्टियों का भरपूर आनंद लेती हूं क्योंकि मुझे अपने माता-पिता के साथ समय बिताने को मिलता है। हम पिकनिक के लिए एक साथ जाते हैं और बहुत सारी फिल्में देखते हैं। मेरी छुट्टियों के दौरान मेरे पास एक अच्छा समय होता है, लेकिन मैं कुछ समय अपने दोस्तों के लिए भी रखती हूं।

शरद ऋतु की छुट्टी

हमें गर्मियों के साथ-साथ शरद ऋतु में भी छुट्टियां मिलती हैं। शरद ऋतु का समय, वह समय होता है जब मैं और मेरा परिवार त्योहारों के मौसम का आनंद लेते हैं। हम शरद ऋतु के ब्रेक के दौरान बाहर नहीं जाते हैं क्योंकि हम विभिन्न त्योहारों को मनाने में व्यस्त रहते हैं।

छुट्टियों का आनंद कामकाजी लोगों द्वारा अधिक लिया जाता है, क्योंकि वो कड़ी मेहनत करते हैं। छुट्टियां उनके जीवन में एक सकारात्मक बदलाव लाते हैं। यह उन लोगों के लिए भी खास होता है, जो अपनों से दूर रहते हैं। यह वास्तव में सच है कि छुट्टियों के बिना जीवन उबाऊ हो जाएगा। यह केवल आनंद लेने के लिए ही नहीं बल्कि हमारे शौक और हितों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए भी जरुरी हैं। छुट्टियों के दौरान हम अपना जीवन वैसे ही जी सकते हैं जैसा हम चाहते हैं।

Wall hanging कोई एक पौधा गमला सहित लेकर आना।

कक्षा 1 (Class 1)

Do all work neat and clear and with the help of your parents. सदाचार-  प्रातः स्मरण के श्लोकों को याद करे। हिन्दी – एक पेज सुलेख सप्ताह में 4 दिन लिखे। पाठ्य-पुस्तक पढने का अभ्यास करें। सुलेख साधना पूर्ण करें। English –  Make a chart paper (A3) size of anyone poem from  English textbook. Do one page handwriting thrice a week. (3 in 1)  .  Read text book for improving reading skill. Fill English writing book. EVS-  Paste picture and write name in (A3) sheet (5 each) Domestic animals, wild animals, pet animals. Maths  – Make a chart of tables (on A3 sheet)  R.no. 1 to 9  – table of 3 .  R.no. 10 to 18  – table of 4.  R.no. 19 to 25  – table of 5.  R.no. 26 to 31  – table of 6 . R.no. 32 to 40  – table of 10. Write back counting 100 to 1. Computer-  make a chart of ‘ parts of computer’. Art-  make a chart on ‘Save Tree’. गीत  -कहानी (हिन्दी )लोभी कुत्ता, मेरा शरीर बडा महान, याद करे। (english)  Gandhi ji and his monkeys hush-A Bye- Baby ( learn it )  Story  – बाजार की सैर, शिष्टाचार की बातों को पढे।

कक्षा 2 (Class 2) 

Note  – गृहकार्य एक अलग (Three in one ) कॉपी में करें। हिन्दी  – 5 पेज सुलेख। विभिन्न जानवरों तथा पक्षियों के चित्र चार्ट पर चिपकाकर उनकी ध्वनियां लिखो। संस्कृत-  पशु व पक्षियों के दस- दस चित्र एक चार्ट पर चिपकाकर उनके नाम संस्कृत में लिखना। पांच- पांच फलों, सब्जियों, वाहनों व फलों व फूलों के नाम लिखना व याद करना। सदाचार-  राष्ट्रीय ध्वज का सुंदर एंव आकर्षक चित्र बनाइये। वन्दना की पुस्तक याद कीजिये। चार्ट पेपर की सहायता से यातायात के साधनो के नियम अथवा दिशा- ज्ञान का सुन्दर एवं आकर्षक चित्र बनाइये। सामाजिक अध्ययन –  रावण के गुणों एवं अवगुणों की तालिका बनाइयें। जब किसी नगर या गांव में आग लग जाती है तो उससे क्या- क्या हानिया होती है। चार्ट पर ‘भारत देश‘ का सुंदर मानचित्र बनाइये। English –  paste picture of 10 actions on a chart. Read chapter 1,2,3 and find 20 difficult words and learn their meanings. Write four words for each alphabet (for ex- A for apple,ant,aunt,able) write 5 page writing. Maths –  write the numbers name from 1- 100. Write the roman number from 1-50 . prepare an abacus by waste materials. EVS-  collect the pictures of animals you have seen in your neighbourhood and paste them in chart. Plant an tulsi in a pot in house and take care of it. Make a chart of food grains also paste some seeds of each. Computer –  learn lesson – 1 and read lesson -2 and 3

कक्षा 3 (Class – third )

Note  – गृहकार्य एक अलग (Three in one ) कॉपी में करें। English –   Read and learn lesson 1,2,3. Write 10 page of writing in holiday’s homework notebook. Make a chart on poem- lord Ganesh or The little plant or the lion and the mouse. Science  – paste 5 different types of leaves and flowers in your holiday homework copy. Maths-   learn table 2 to 20 and write also. Learn and write 1 to 100 counting spelling and revise chapter 1 and 2. Computer-   make a model of Abacus. Drawing –  make a beautiful things from waste materials. सदाचार-  पुस्तक के पेज न0 52 से मांसाहारी व शाकाहारी पशुओं के नाम लिख कर चार्ट में चित्र बनाएं। हिन्दी-  अ से अः तक मात्राओं के पन्द्रह शब्द कॉपी पर लिखना व याद करना, हिन्दी व्याकरण पाठ 1 से 4 तक पढना, सुलेख पुस्तिका में पांच पेज सुलेख करना। संस्कृत-  गृह उपयोगी कोई 10 वस्तुओं के नाम संस्कृत में लिखकर चित्र बनाना। 1 से 20 तक संस्कृत में गिनती लिखना व याद करना। सामाजिक अध्ययन –  पुस्तक पठ्न, कॉपी में कराया गया समस्त कार्य याद करो। चार्ट बनाए (एक विषय पर ) हमारे प्रतीक, महाभारत पुस्तक, गौतम बुद्ध, समा्रट अशोक, महावीर।

कक्षा 4 (Class 4)

Note – All the work must be done in 3 in 1 notebook. Revise and read all copy works. Use A3 sheet for pasting work. Do all work neat and clean and with the help of your parents. English –  learn ten words from each alphabet and write them with their meaning in a note-book . Learn at least 35 verbs and their forms. Make a chart on any one topic – The God poem( 1-10). The Rainbow poem ( 10 -20). The Sun poem (20-30 ) My Teacher poem (30 to last). Maths-  learn number name from 500 to 1000. learn tables 2 to 30. Do four questions of add and four questions of subtraction daily in holiday home work copy. Make a chart of following topic according to your roll no- 1 to 25 Types of Angles. 26 to 50 Shapes. Science  – 5 types leaves, seeds,  flowers paste in scrap book.  Make a working model from any topic related to science. Make a list of harmful things for our environment in holiday home work copy. Learn all the class work. Computer –  make a chart of any two computer  devices and give them 3D shapes.  Drawing  – Make any object from waste materials. सामाजिक अध्ययन-  गौरव भारत व उत्तर- प्रदेश के पहले दो- दो पाठों को अच्छे से पढे व याद करें। किसी एक विषय पर चार्ट बनायें। महावीर स्वामी व उनके 5 उपदेश (1-10), गौतम बुद्व (11- 20), हमारे राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक (21-30), उत्तर-प्रदेश का मानचित्र बनाकर विभिन्न प्रदेशों व पडोसी देशों को दर्शाते हुए रंग भरे। हिन्दी  – भाषा, व्याकरण, लिपि ,स्वर, व्यंजन, संज्ञा, सर्वनाम , क्रिया, विशेषण की परिभाषाएं याद करना। (सुलेख पुस्तिका) मे 10 पेज सुलेख लिखना, संयुक्त व्यंजनों के पांच- पांच शब्द लिखना । सदाचार –  कोई दो शिक्षाप्रद कहानी सुन्दर लेख मे लिखकर लाना। चार्ट पर कोई पांच महापुरूषों के चित्र बनाकर या चिपकाकर उनके विषय में पांच- पांंच वाक्य लिखना। प्रदेश व उनकी राजधानी लिखना व याद करना । अच्छे बालकों के कोई दस गुण लिखकर लाना । संस्कृत  – ंपाठ 1 से 3 तक अभ्यास कार्य, प्रश्नोत्तर याद करना, अभ्यास में दिये गये शब्दों द्वारा वाक्य रचना करना , पांच फलों सब्जियों , फूलों के नाम लिखना , शब्द रूप देव, पुष्प,बालिका, याद करना, धातु रूप, पठ्, गम् याद करना, पुस्तक पठन का अभ्यास करना ।

कक्षा 5 (Class 5)

All the work must be done in 3 in 1 notebook. Revise and read all copy works. Use A3 sheet for pasting work. Do all work neat and clear and with the help of your parents. English –  write and learn ten words from each alphabet in a copy. Learn at least 50 verbs and their forms. Make chart on any one topic- parts of speech (R.N0 1 -10). Little things poem (R. no 11-20). Work and play (R.No. 20-30). Who seen the wind (R. No. 30- last). Maths-  Learn tables 2 to 30. Do 5-5 questions of multiple and divide daily in holiday home work copy. Make a chart of following topic according to your roll no- (R.NO. 1to 25 fraction). (R.NO. 26 to 50 Roman number). Science  – Any working model related to science topic or make a project file  of cleanlines 10 types of flowers, seeds and  of leaves paste in scrap book. Learn all class work. Computer  – make a model of monitor help of cardboard/ Learning , reading chapter 1 to 3 . हिन्दी-  भाषा, लिपि, वर्ण , स्वर व्यंजन की परिभाषा याद करके लिखे, संयुक्ताक्षरो (क्ष, त्र,ज्ञ,श्र) से पांच- पांच शब्द बनाओं ग्रीष्म ऋतु में घूमने गये यात्रा का वर्णन, सुलेख पुस्तिका के 10 पेज भरना। संस्कृत-  शब्द रूप तत (वह) पुल्लिंग स्त्रीलिंग एवं नपुसकलिंग बालक, देव फल एवं नदी याद करना धातु रूप् गम् , पठ, कृ,नी, हस याद करना एवं कॉपी मे पांच फूलों, फलो, के नाम लिखना एवं कॉपी में करवाया गया समस्त कार्य याद करना। सामाजिक-  गौरवशाली भारत व भारत भूमि के पढाये गये पाठो को समझे व याद करें। महाद्वीप, महासागर व पडोसी देशो के नाम याद करें। ग्लोब का माडॅल (1-10) किसी एक विषय पर चार्ट समाज सुधारक (11- 20) विभिन्न क्रान्तिकारी का चार्ट (21 – 30), विभिन्न साहित्यकारो का चार्ट (31 से 40)। कला-  पेपर किंटंग द्वारा वॉडर तैयार करें। सदाचार –  पाठ 1 से 4 तक का सभी कार्य याद करें। औषिधीय पौधें या स्वदेशी वस्तुओं का चार्ट बनाये। नीति के दोहे , अमृतवाणी , सुभाषित याद करें। सूर्य नमस्कार का प्रतिदिन अभ्यास करे।

ग्रीष्मकालीन अवकाश हेतु मज़ेदार गतिविधियां

ग्रीष्मकालीन अवकाश प्राथमिक विद्यालय के छात्रों के लिए अपनी पढ़ाई से छुट्टी लेने और मज़ेदार, शैक्षिक गतिविधियों में संलग्न होने और उन्हें नए कौशल विकसित करने में मदद करने का एक शानदार समय है। प्राथमिक विद्यालय के छात्र अपनी गर्मी की छुट्टियों की छुट्टियों का उपयोग कैसे कर सकते हैं, इस पर कुछ विचार यहां दिए गए हैं:

मेरी गर्मी की छुट्टियां (My Summer Vacation)

छुट्टियां हमारे लिए परिवार को पहाड़ी जगहों पर ले जाने का एक शानदार समय होता है। वर्ष के दौरान हमारे व्यस्त कार्यक्रम के कारण, गर्मी हमारे लिए तनाव मुक्त यात्रा पर जाने तथा प्रकृति के साथ समय बिताने का एक बेहतरीन समय है। मैंने पिछले साल अपने दादा-दादी के घर में 15 दिन बिताए थे जब मैं उनसे गर्मी की छुट्टियों में मिलने गया था।

जैसे ही गर्मी की छुटि्टयां शुरू हुई, हम ट्रेन से पटना से अपने गांव दादा-दादी के पास पहुंच गए। वहां हमारे स्वागत में पकवान बनाए गए थे। वहां हमारे चाचा के लड़के भी थे। हम उनके साथ क्रिकेट खेलते। आम के बगीचे में जाकर आम तोड़कर लाते। उन दिनों आम के बगीचे में बंदर आ जाते थे। आम के फल को बचाने के लिए बंदरों को भगाना पड़ता। उसके लिए हम गुलेल की मदद लेते। तपती गर्मी में लोगों का हाल बेहाल हो जाता। उस दौरान आसपास के खेतों में सब्जियां लगी होती थीं। खेत में नलकूप से हो रहे पटवन के बीच हम ठंडे पानी से देर तक नहाते। नलकूप का पानी में नहाते समय कब समय बीत जाता, पता ही नहीं चलता। शाम में हम नदी किनारे घूमने जाते। मैदान में बच्चों के साथ खेलते। एक दिन हमलोगों ने वाटर पार्क जाने का भी प्लान बनाया। हम सुबह ही तैयार हो गए और वाटर पार्क से घूमकर शाम तक वापस लौटे। वाटर पार्क में स्वीम शूट दिया गया। वहां तरह-तरह के स्लाइड थे। बच्चों के लिए कम पानी वाला तालाब था। हमने खूब मस्ती की। इस तरह हमारी छुट्टियां कब बीत गईं, पता ही नहीं चला।

गर्मी की छुट्टियों का सबसे अच्छा हिस्सा नए दोस्त तलाशना और बनाना है। मैंने अपनी यात्रा का आनंद लिया और जब मैं वहां था तब मैंने कुछ नया ज्ञान प्राप्त किया। बाकी छुट्टियां मेरी माँ की देखरेख में पढ़ने में और विभिन्न खेल खेलने में बीतती थीं।

मेरी गर्मी की छुट्टियां शुरू होते ही, मैं जल्दी ऊब गया, क्योंकि मेरे सभी दोस्त कहीं न कहीं यात्रा पर चले गए थे। इस वजह से मेरे माता-पिता ने मुझे समर कैंप में भाग लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। मेरे माता-पिता ने मुझे एक समर कैंप में दाखिला दिलाने में मदद की, जिसे हमारा स्कूल चला रहा था।

मुझे शुरू में यह लगता था कि यह बेकार और नीरस होगा। परंतु मुझे यह एहसास हुआ कि मैं गलत था। यह मेरे पसंदीदा जीवन अनुभवों में से एक समर कैंप था। मुझे विभिन्न गतिविधियों में भाग लेने का अवसर मिला, और इसी समय के आसपास मुझे पहली बार एहसास हुआ कि मैं अच्छी पेंटिंग बनाता हूँ।

स्कूल न होने के बावजूद हम सुबह 5 बजे जल्दी उठ जाते थे। हर दिन हमारे ट्रेनर हमें कुछ नया सिखाते थे। मैंने पहले दिन कराटे सीखा, जो मनोरंजक और लाभदायक रहा। इसके अलावा, मैंने वॉलीबॉल, टेबल टेनिस और बास्केटबॉल में अपना कौशल विकसित किया। इसी समय के दौरान मेरी प्रतिभा अपनी चरम पर पहुंची।

इस दौरान स्कूल की तरफ से दोस्तों के साथ हम तारामंडल, चिड़ियाघर, गुरुद्वारा, इस्कॉन टेंपल, म्यूजियम कई जगहों पर घूमने गए। गुरुद्वारा में हमने लंगर भी छका। यह अविस्मरणीय अनुभव रहा।

हमने पेंटिंग करना सीखा और हमें इस कला में महारत हासिल करने की अनूठी तकनीकें सिखाई गईं। मेरी इसमे रुचि जाग्रत हुई और मैं पेंटिंग करना पसंद करने लगा। पेंटिंग और अन्य गतिविधियों में मेरी रुचि जगाने के लिए मैं इस समर कैंप का हमेशा आभारी रहूंगा।

क्योंकि यह उन्हें आराम करने और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गतिविधियों का आनंद लेने के लिए समय बिताने की अनुमति देता है, बहुत से लोग गर्मियों की प्रतीक्षा करते हैं। विश्राम और मनोरंजन के लिए, बहुत से लोग गर्मियों में काम से छुट्टी ले लेते हैं। गर्मी के कारण सभी संस्थान और स्कूल बंद कर दिए जाते हैं। जहां कुछ लोग अपना पूरा दिन घर के अंदर बिताना पसंद करते हैं, वहीं कुछ लोग बाहर समय बिताना पसंद करते हैं। बच्चों के लिए, गर्मी की छुट्टियां साल का विशेष रूप से यादगार समय होता है।

गर्मियों की छुट्टियां सबसे आनंदमय दिन होते है इन दिनों में गर्मी के कारण स्कूलों की छुट्टियां कर दी जाती है जिसे हम बच्चे बहुत खुश होते है क्योंकि इस समय पढ़ाई लिखाई का कोई बोझ नहीं होता सिर्फ खेलना और हंसी मजाक करना होता है इसलिए मुझे गर्मियों की छुट्टियां बहुत अच्छी लगती है.

इस बार की गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में मैं अपने नाना नानी के घर गया वहां पर मैंने खूब मस्ती की मेरे नाना मुझे सुबह बगीचे में खेलने के लिए लेकर जाते और मैं जब शाम को आते तो मेरे लिए बहुत सारी चॉकलेट और आइसक्रीम लेकर आते. वहां पर मैंने कुछ नए दोस्त भी बना लिए जिनके साथ में रोज खेलता था.

वहां पर मेरे छोटे पिकनिक पर भी गया जो कि मेरे लिए बहुत रोमांचक था छुट्टियों के आखिरी दिनों में मैं घर आ गया और स्कूल का कार्य किया. इस गर्मियों की छुट्टियां मेरे लिए सबसे यादगार पल थे.

गर्मियों की छुट्टियों के बारे में सोच कर ही मन रोमांचित हो उठता है, मुझे गर्मियों की छुट्टियां बहुत पसंद है. हम बच्चे इन गर्मियों की छुट्टियों के लिए पूरी साल भर इंतजार करते है.

अभी बस कुछ दिनों बाद गर्मियों की छुट्टियां पड़ने वाली है मेरे साथी सहपाठी इन गर्मियों में पहाड़ी और ठंडे स्थानों पर जाने की योजना बना रहे है.

लेकिन मैं किसी अन्य स्थान पर नहीं जा सकता हूं क्योंकि मेरे पिताजी को कार्यालय में बहुत काम है. इसलिए मैं अपनी छुट्टियों को अच्छे कार्य करने में पूरी करूंगा. आखिरकार अब वह दिन आ गया जब से स्कूल की छुट्टियां हो गई है.

मैं सुबह शाम अपने दोस्तों के साथ खूब जी भर कर खेलता हूं लेकिन गर्मी होने के कारण दोपहर का समय यूं ही बीत जाता है और हम बाहर खेल भी नहीं पाते है.

हमे स्कूल में पढ़ाया गया था कि गर्मी बढ़ने का कारण है कि पेड़ों की संख्या लगातार कम हो रही है इसलिए मैं सोच रहा हूं कि इस बार की छुट्टियों का सदुपयोग करके में मेरे दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर जो उन्हें हमारे घर के आसपास के क्षेत्र में पेड़ लगाएं.

इसके लिए मेरे दोस्त भी मेरे साथ हो गए और हमने पूरी कॉलोनी में पौधे लगा दिए है जिससे पूरा वातावरण हरा भरा हो गया है.

यह देखकर पूरी कॉलोनी के लोगों ने एक छोटे पिकनिक का आयोजन किया है जिसमें मैं और मेरे दोस्तों ने खूब मौज मस्ती की, इस तरह मैंने गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में आनंद के साथ साथ समय का सदुपयोग भी किया और वातावरण को स्वच्छ और सुंदर भी बनाया.

इस बार की गर्मी की छुट्टियां बहुत यादगार रही क्योंकि इस बार हमारा पूरा परिवार गर्मी की छुट्टियां मनाने तमिलनाडु के ऊटी शहर गए थे. पिताजी ने इसकी तैयारियां लगभग 1 महीने पहले ही कर ली थी उन्होंने ट्रेन की टिकट बुक करवा दी थी.

ट्रेन से सफर करने का एक अलग ही मजा है क्योंकि ट्रेन खेत जंगल पहाड़ इत्यादि रास्तों से होकर गुजरती है जिससे देखने का बहुत मजा आता है और इसमें सफर आरामदायक भी होता है. ट्रेन के सफर में हमने समय बिताने के लिए अंताक्षरी खेली जिसमें बहुत आनंद आया.

पिताजी हमें बीच बीच में आने वाले शहरों और गांव के नाम बता रहे थे साथ ही वे वहां की परंपरा और संस्कृति के बारे में भी बता रहे थे जो मुझे जानकर बहुत ही रोचक लगा. यह बहुत ही रोमांचक सफर था क्योंकि इसमें घूमने के साथ-साथ शिक्षा भी मिल रही थी.

लगभग 2 दिन के पश्चात हम ऊटी शहर पहुंच गए, यह अन्य शहरों की तुलना में बहुत ही अलग था. यहां की हरी-भरी सुंदर वादियां मन को मोह लेती है. ऊटी शहर तमिलनाडु का प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थलों में से एक है. यहां पर हम लगभग 1 सप्ताह रहे.

वहां पर पहले दिन हमने नीलगिरी की पहाड़ियों में चलने वाली भाप के इंजन वाली ट्रेन में बैठकर वहां के जंगलों की सुंदरता देखी ट्रेन बहुत ही धीरे चल रही थी और ठंडी-ठंडी हवा चल रही थी इस नजारे को देखकर सब उत्सुक थे और सभी के मुख पर एक अलग सी खुशी थी.

इसके बाद हम ऊटी बोट हाउस गए वहां पर हमें एक दिन बिताया जिसमें हमें बहुत आनंद आया क्योंकि यहां का वातावरण बहुत ही शांत और सुंदरता पानी में रंग बिरंगी मछलियां तैर रही थी.

इसके बाद हमने वहां का रोज गार्डन, बोटैनिकल गार्डन, थ्रेड गार्डन का भ्रमण किया यहां पर रंग बिरंगी फूलों के बगीचे लगे हुए थे जिनसे पूरा वातावरण महक रहा था. इसके बाद हमने कलहट्टी का झरना देखा जो बहुत ऊंचा और सुंदर था.

अंतिम दिन घूमने पन्ना झील के किनारे पिकनिक के लिए गए. यह झील अत्यधिक सुंदर है यहां का नीला जल आंखों को ठंडक देता है.

इस तरह मैंने गर्मियों की छुट्टियों का आनंद उठाया.

हमारा परिवार दिल्ली शहर में रहता है हर बार की तरह इस बार भी गर्मी की छुट्टियां आने वाली है. हमारे स्कूल के सभी विद्यार्थी अलग अलग स्थान पर जाने की बात कर रहे है. देखते ही देखते हैं कब छुट्टियों के दिन आ गए पता ही नहीं चला हमने इस बार की छुट्टियों का कोई प्लान नहीं बनाया है.

इसलिए मैं और मेरी छोटी बहन अपने दादा-दादी के पास जा रहे है जो कि हमारी पैतृक गांव.में रहते है. गांव का रहन सहन बहुत ही साधारण है यहां का वातावरण शांत ठंडा और भीड़ रही है जिसके कारण हमें यहां पर आना अच्छा लगता है.

मेरे दादाजी रोज सुबह उठ कर हमें खेत की शहर कराने जाते हैं वहां पर सुबह ठंडी-ठंडी हवा चलती है चिड़ियों की चह चाहट मन मोह लेती है. किसान फसल को पानी दे रहे होते है गाय भैंस बकरी इधर-उधर चहल कदमी करते रहते है इतना मनमोहक नजारा हमें दिल्ली शहर में तो देखने को ही नहीं मिलता है.

खेतों में दादा जी हमें अन्य किसानों से परिचय करवाते है वहां के किसान बहुत अच्छे है उन्होंने हमें पानी पिलाया और खेत में से गन्ना ला कर दिया जो कि खाने में बहुत स्वादिष्ट था.

दोपहर होने से पहले हम घर आ जाते हैं और स्वादिष्ट भोजन करते है साथ ही पीने के लिए दही छाछ और रबड़ी मिलती है जो कि गर्मी को कम कर देती है.

शाम को हम दोस्तों के साथ खेलने चले जाते है वहां पर हमने प्रकार के खेल खेलते है जैसे गिल्ली डंडा, चोर पुलिस, गेंद मार, क्रिकेट इत्यादि खेलते है. खेल खेल में बहुत मजा आता है और शाम तक हम बहुत थक जाते हैं इसलिए वापस घर चले जाते है.

शाम को भोजन करने के पश्चात दादा-दादी हमें नई-नई रोचक कहानियां सुनाते है साथ ही हमें पुराने जमाने की रोचक बातें भी बताते है जैसे हमारे ज्ञान में वृद्धि होती है और मजा भी आता है.

कभी-कभी दादी हमें मंदिर लेकर जाती है जहां का माहौल एकदम शांत होता है मंदिर की घंटियां मीठी-मीठी धुन सुनाती है. मंदिर के पुजारी जी बहुत अच्छे हैं वह हमें बहुत प्यार करते है और नई नई कहानियां सुनाते है. पुजारी जी ने हमें बताया कि कल मंदिर में बहुत बड़े मेले का आयोजन होने वाला है यह सुनकर तो हम फूले नहीं समा रहे थे.

बस फिर क्या था दूसरे दिन का इंतजार था. दूसरे दिन दादा जी ने मुझे कंधे पर बिठाया और मेले की सैर कराने निकल पड़े. मेला बहुत ही सुंदर सजा था कहीं कोई नाच गा रहा है तो कहीं कोई झूल झूल रहा है.

मैंने भी दादाजी को बोलकर झूला झूला जिसमें मुझे बहुत आनंद आया फिर वहां पर हमने समोसे खाए जोकि अत्यंत स्वादिष्ट थे.

इसके बाद हमने मंदिर में दर्शन किए और वापस आकर दादा जी ने मेरे और मेरी छोटी बहन के लिए कुछ खिलौने खरीदे साथ ही घर के लिए भी कुछ सामान खरीदा इसके बाद हम घर वापस आ गए. यह मेला देखकर मुझे बहुत खुशी हुई और आनंद भी आया.

कुछ ही दिनों में मेरे पिताजी और माताजी भी गांव आ गए और हम सब मिलकर एक छोटे पिकनिक पर गए जहां पर मैंने और मेरी छोटी बहन ने खूब मस्ती की हमने वहां पर तरह-तरह के झूले झूले और समुंदर किनारे बैठ कर भोजन किया.

समंदर की गीली रेत से छोटे-छोटे घर बनाए इस तरह समय कैसे बीत गया पता ही नहीं चला और फिर हम सब पुन: दिल्ली लौट आये.

दिल्ली आने के पश्चात मैंने स्कूल मैं दिया गया कार्य पूर्ण किया. इस तरह मैंने गर्मी की छुट्टियों का भरपूर इस्तेमाल किया. यह छुट्टियां मेरे को हमेशा के लिए यादगार रहेगी.
