The internship provides extensive training for students that may improve their skills, knowledge, and even attitude that are necessary for their future work. Specifically, this study evaluates the performance of 116 student-trainees in terms of attendance and punctuality, knowledge and quality of work, and general attitude. Feedback reports, experiences of student-trainees, and performance appraisal reports by trainers/supervisors are being used in this study. This paper also aims to determine the level of satisfaction of student-trainees on the industry immersion program in one of the State Universities and Colleges in the Philippines. A descriptive method of research is used with standard instruments enumerated above. Findings show that the respondents performed very satisfactory during their internship. Moreover, the student-trainees are highly satisfied on the industry immersion (IIM) program of the university. The results also show the relationship between the student-trainees' internship performance and the level of satisfaction on industry immersion program. This study may be served as a basis to enhance the program that will benefit the students, academic institution, and cooperating partner industries. Introduction The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is mandated to develop and promote policies, systems, procedures and programs that address globalization, changing policies of trade in goods and services. CHED shall require student exchange established by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of string with business and industry to promote and provide students with competitive skills and attitudes for employment. In order to promote the well-being of tertiary students, quality of their learning and constant exposure may ensure their safety while undergoing practicum considering the nature of the training course program. This program aims to provide territory enrolled in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines with the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes and values in reputable establishments/industries in the country (CHED, 2009).

This study determined and described the readiness and willingness of the enterprises in accepting work immersion (WI) activities of senior high school (SHS) students. Specifically, it described the needed WI requirements of SHS in terms of classification and skills needed, the readiness of enterprises in compliance with the Department of Education's requirements in terms of the facilities, alignment, proximity, legal requirements, scope of operation and corporate social responsibility. Also, it determined the willingness of enterprises in terms of the number of interns needed, availability of slots for internships, students' qualifications and gender preferences. Problems in relation to the WI activities of SHS students were also identified. Furthermore, a plan of action to address the anticipated problem was proposed. The descriptive research method, purposive sampling and questionnaire-checklist as instrument were utilized in this study. Majority of the enterprises are ready in accepting WI activities of SHS students. In terms of willingness, majority of the enterprises do not need interns but willing in accepting WI of SHS students. The following were recommended: conduct orientation or seminar in the enterprises about WI; search for other potential enterprises partners; partner with State Universities and Colleges; and the use of simulation activities inside the school.
The aim of this study is to understand the psychological contract between employers and internship students. An in-depth study was conducted to obtain the expectations from managerial perspectives. This is in conjunction with the Malaysian universities' aspiration particularly on the aspect of producing a holistic graduate which is at par with the companies' requirements. This study discovered two main categories namely self-development and university wide-actions that must be taken into consideration by the university. The respondents for this study were the companies assigned to the researchers which is also the place where the students undertaking their internship. Majority of the respondents agreed that students must be equipped with extra course and knowledge despite their majoring in the university. Managers of the companies highlighted the importance of multitasking, ability to complete the task given to the internship students, well-versed with the background of the company and products, becoming an active team player, managing old and new customers and instill confidence among consumers and ability to value creativity. This study adds another literature to the human resource (HR) discipline and can be used by the university to review their curriculum and quality of their internship students.

Work immersion is a key subject under the Senior High School (SHS) curriculum that is conducted in different ways and time frame as needed by SHS learners. This study was conducted to find out the work immersion performance of the Grade 12 students at San Isidro High School and Subic National High School, Zambales, Philippines. The IV-DV model of this research involved the profile of the student respondents and their work immersion performances in the schools’ partner companies. This study aimed to investigate the personality traits and employability skills of Grade 12 student interns and their implications for an enhanced school immersion program. The study used a mixed-method research approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The results revealed that the Grade 12 student interns generally displayed positive personality traits, such as high levels of extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. They also exhibited strong employability skills, particularly in communication and teamwork. However, the interns identified areas for improvement, such as problem-solving and adaptability. The Work Immersion program of the Department of Education, under the newly established educational curriculum – K to 12, is one of the key features of this educational innovation. The researcher of this study would like to evaluate the effectiveness and its impacts to the students of John J. Russell Memorial High School, Sibul Springs, San Miguel, Bulacan. The study used the semi-structured interviews with the help of the researcher-made instrument. The said instrument is merely made by open-ended questions; this type of questions will open a wider space for the students to express their feelings and to voice out their insights regarding the problem. Researcher-made instruments were given to the chosen respondents by means of random sampling under the probability or unbiased category. This kind of sampling procedure is one of the simplest form of collecting data. The researcher used thematic analysis as a means to gain insight and knowledge from data gathered. The method enables the researcher to develop a deeper appreciation for the group or situation he is researching. Thus, the conclusion made by means of this analysis offered a wider, specific, attainable and reasonable recommendations.

The study conducted at Olongtao National High School aimed to assess the performance of Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) students during their Work Immersion program, a crucial component of their curriculum. Employing a descriptive method, the research evaluated the students' performance over 80 hours of immersion, utilizing input from cooperating industry supervisors and teachers. The study's purpose was to meticulously assess the quality of the program, as advocated by Garcia (2011). Participants included teachers from Olongtao National High School, personnel from the Municipal Police Station, Municipal Social Worker and Development, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management at Macalelon Local Government Unit, who served as supervisors for the students. The focus on Grade 12 HUMSS and their work immersion subject aimed to inform the School Work Immersion Plan (SWIP) for subsequent years. Results indicated that students excelled in work habit formation and demonstrated very satisfactory levels of work skills and competence. Notably, they exhibited outstanding interpersonal and human relation skills, garnering the highest weighted mean. However, there were areas for improvement, particularly in interpersonal and work skills, indicating a need for targeted interventions in future SWIP iterations. In conclusion, the study underscores the importance of continuous evaluation and refinement of work immersion programs to enhance the overall performance of HUMSS students, ultimately ensuring their readiness for the workforce.
