Problem Statement-Application Exercise 1-Research Methods and Tools (Optional)

Use this space for to answer the questions set out in Application Exercise 1:1. Given your definition of the problem faced by GYF, what type(s) of research will you employ to learn more about the strategy the DATA Team should pursue?2. What research tools could you use to conduct that research?

In this case, the inquiry must be explanatory in order to pinpoint the root causes of the problem and locate the most effective solutions. It must therefore mimic the impact of prohibiting emergent advertising in the competitors. The earnings of the page may occasionally include the expense of advertising. To define the impact for clients of the elimination of emergent ads as well as to enable them to know and determine the impact to these, a straightforward random sampling should be employed, as should the usage of a questionnaire. Those who have already been questioned must possess sufficient knowledge of the issue at hand, including an understanding of its causes, effects, and historical context.

This area should be used to describe the issue. Try to be as descriptive as you can! In investigating this, you should pay attention to how ad blockers may affect GYF’s ad-buying clients. You may also take into account how ad blockers may affect GYF’s end users, operations, and/or internal organization.

Describe the Problem Ad blockers present to GYF

Users who use ad blockers can “skip” advertisements. As a result, advertising income for GYF will be significantly impacted.

The widespread usage of ad blockers will also significantly impede GYF’s capacity to gather information and learn from its users.

With more consumers using ad blockers, businesses will be less inclined to pay significant online advertising expenditures.

Due to the growing popularity of ad blockers, GYF will be forced to create new alternatives or new business models that allow for the interaction of users and advertisers.

GYF must determine the primary factors influencing users’ decisions to use ad blockers in order to offer more user-friendly forms of advertising.

How can GYF modify its business strategy to counteract the fast uptake of ad blockers, which directly affects GYF’s primary source of income?

GYF should conduct exploratory research to identify other online advertising strategies that it can employ to get beyond ad blockers and display ads that users find engaging and relevant.

. The following are the primary resources the DATA team could use to address the research questions:

  • Internet communities are the company’s target market because they utilize the website and view the advertisements.

should be something the consumer is looking forward to seeing since it has something fascinating to offer them.

In order to create value-creating Ads, GYF will conduct a study with users to find out what they find intrusive, inspiring, and interesting. These qualities must be precisely defined by the users (target segments). Using this information, GYF will be able to collaborate with marketers to produce content that is thought to bring value.

A Senior Associate director will be hired by GYF for digital advertising. GYF will hire a person with the right education, work history, and personality to collaborate with the GYF team in order to implement the newly described plan and improve the project’s prospects of success.

Based on the information provided in Application Exercise 2, describe here why you would hire Carrie candidate or Peggy Project to be the second-in-command of the DATA Team.

The following justifies GYF hiring Peggy:

She has extensive knowledge of the marketing landscape, has experience working for many advertising agencies, and is well aware of the problem that ad blockers provide.

Her personality test showed she would be a good fit for the team, which is particularly important since even if an employee has skills, if he or she does not fit in with the team, the new hire may disturb the team’s cohesion.

She showed that she was quite knowledgeable with the duties of her position.

Describe the anticipated effects of your strategy

Please describe the anticipated effects of your strategy. Make sure you address the effects on customers, revenue, and the internal organization.

Effects of the suggested strategy: The new approach to changing how people perceive the presented advertisements aims to have the following effects:

Effects on Customers: Thanks to the partnership with other businesses and advertising agencies, the new ads that will be released will try to be viewed as more interesting, valuable, and pertinent. Users will therefore find them to be rather “annoying,” be more willing to accept them, and use Ad blockers less.

The total net productivity increase must increase by at least $11,000 as a result of the soft skills training program; and

At least 60% of the net productivity increase realized by the external program should be attained by the internal program. To succeed in achieving this

For a 36 budget, GFY should put 48000 dollars into the external Hard Skills program.

For a 17-dollar return, GFY should invest $28,000 in its internal soft skills program.

This allocation will guarantee that at least 60% of the increase realized by the external program will come from the internal program.

Measurement

Describe the anticipated effects of your strategy and how you will measure them

Please outline your plan for measuring these effects using data. Make sure you use techniques you learned about in the courses In order to measure the effectiveness of the new strategy the GYF team will follow the outlined steps below:

The GYF team will take the actions listed below to determine how well the new strategy is working:

Starting today, data will be gathered on a daily basis.

The most important information related to this strategy will be the number of users using ad blockers, the number of users who click on or view the ads, and the number of people who visit the GYF website in order to calculate the proper ratios.

Ads that are intended to be more appealing to users and viewed as less obtrusive will be used to implement the new strategy.

Under the new method, the previously established data will be compiled to track any variations or differences in users’ levels of engagement with the advertisements.

Data from before and after the new technique will be compared.

The goal is to ascertain whether people are more inclined to turn off their ad blockers as a result of the new ads.

Feedback will be given based on the results, and corrective action will be taken.

The user’s degree of involvement with the new ads will rise.

Businesses will be more eager to place advertisements on the GFY website.

GFY revenues will rise as more businesses show interest in placing advertisements on its website.

Summarize your key points from the preceding slides

GYF will be able to address a new challenge that is affecting an entire industry if the new proposed strategy is correctly implemented and the outcomes are as anticipated. The large loss of money, loss of clients, and loss of users will have a significant impact on the GVF business model if this issue is not promptly resolved. This will have an effect on the company’s available resources, forcing it to cut back on staff, capacity, and future investments.

In order to address the interests of users, businesses, and GFY, the new strategy aims to tackle the issue from its roots and set out to change how old advertising models used to operate.

If implemented properly, the new strategy will reduce the strain on the advertising industry, maintain GVF’s position in the market, and benefit users.
