भारते षड् ऋतवः भवन्ति–ग्रीष्मः, वर्षाः, शरद्, हेमन्तः, शिशिरः, वसन्तश्च । वसन्तः शिशिरस्य पश्चात् आगच्छति । वसन्तः ऋतुराजः इति उच्यते । ।

शिशिरे सर्वेषाम् वृक्षाणाम् पत्राणि पतन्ति । वृक्षाः नग्नाः इव दृश्यन्ते । प्रकृतिरपि शोकार्ता इव दृश्यते ।

वसन्ते सर्वेषु वृक्षेषु नवपल्लवाः विकसन्ति। वृक्षाणां शाखा पुष्पाणां भारेण नमन्ति । उपवनेषु मयूराः स्वपक्षान् प्रसार्य नृत्यन्ति । खगाः मधुरगीतानि गायन्ति । कोकिलानां तु अयमृतुः उत्सवः एव । यत्र तत्र आम्रवृक्षेषु कोकिलानां कुहुकुहू इति रवः श्रुतिगोचरो भवति । वनेषु, उपवनेषु च पादपेषु नानाविधानि नानावर्णानि च पुष्पाणि विकसन्ति । क्वचित् पलाशवृक्षेषु किशुककुसुमानि रक्तेन दिशः रञ्जयन्तीव, अन्यत्र च तड़ागेषु पङ्कजानां शोभा पथिकानां मनो हरति, क्वचित् पुनः कणकारपुष्पाणां पीताम्बरमिव प्रसृतं लक्ष्यते, कुन्दपुष्पाणां सुरभिः दूरतः एवं जनान् आकर्षति । सर्वत्र मन्दसमीरः सुगन्धयुतः वहति । उपवनेषु आम्रवृक्षेषु मञ्जर्यः विकसन्ति । भ्रमराः मधुरं गुञ्जन्ति । ते पुष्पेषु उपविश्य तेषां रसं पिबन्ति ।

क्षेत्रेषु धान्यपंक्तयः नृत्यन्ति इव । सर्षपपुष्पाणि भूम्यै पीतपरिच्छदमिव वितरन्ति । नेदानी दिवसाः अति उष्णाः भवन्ति न च रात्र्योऽतिशीताः । जलमपि सुखस्पर्श भवति । जनाः अपि प्रसन्नाः भवन्ति । ते नववस्त्राणि धारयित्वा नृत्यन्ति, गायन्ति च । जनाः उत्सवान् मानयन्ति। सर्वत्र अपूर्वः उत्साहः प्रमोदश्च दृश्यते । प्रकृतिरपि विविधवर्णपरिधानमयी प्रसन्ना इव दृश्यते । | होलिकोत्सवोऽपि वसन्ते एव भवति। संस्कृतकविभिः वसन्ततः शोभाया मनोहरं वर्णनं कृतम् । कालिदासः ऋतुसंहारे कथयति यत् वसन्ते सर्वं जगत् अतिसुन्दरं भवति-

द्रुमाः सपुष्पाः सलिलं सपद्म। स्त्रियः सकामाः पवनः सुगन्धिः । सुखाः प्रदोषा दिवसाश्च रम्याः | सर्वं प्रिये चारुतरं वसन्ते ।

यथा जीवने बाल्यावस्था विशेषोल्लासमयी सुखमयी च वर्तते, तथैव वर्षे वसन्तकालः । वसन्तः सर्वेभ्यो नवजीवनसंदेश प्रददाति । मन्ये ईश्वरोऽपि सृष्टेः सुन्दरतमं रूपमस्मिन्नेव ऋतौ प्रकटयति । अतएव गीतायां भगवता कृष्णेन उच्यते यत् ‘अहम् ऋतूनां कुसुमाकरः अस्मि’ ।

Vasanta Rutu/ Rtu (शरद ऋतुः) is one of the 6 seasons of the Hindu calendar year. Chaitra (चैत्रः) and Vaishakha (वैशाखः) masas (मासाः months) comprise of this season. It is the period of the year that can be called as Spring. It is the period of the year when the winter season in Bharata (भारतः) ends and the summer sets in. Hence this is the transition period from cold of winters to heat of summers. वसन्तमासाः॥ Months of Hindu calendar for Vasanta rtu

As per Hindu calendar in Bharata, for every 2 months there is one season. Therefore for 12 months there are 6 seasons. However the seasons are listed with little variation in the names in 2 different cases. The list of season and months in Hindu calendar is given below,

Thus, Chaitra and Vaishakha are the 2 months in the lunar calendar which fall under Vasanta rtu. While, as per Gregorian calendar Hemanta is grossly a period from Mid March to Mid May.

अव्यापन्नवसन्तऋतुलक्षणानि॥ Characteristics of Vasanta Rtu

Vasanta rtu is called as the king of the 6 rtus. The reason behind it being the pleasant and cheerful weather in this season. Vasanta appears after the chilling cold of the winters and before the extremely hot weather of Greeshma. The temperature level reaches an optimum level and flowers begin to blossom. It is the season when the dormant buds, trees start blooming on getting sufficient sunlight and warmth to grow. The darkness of night starts reducing and the daytime light span starts increasing gradually. The life on the earth is not in a dormant stage but starts surfacing, growing and blooming once again after dormant period of winters. Branches of the trees start bearing new tender leaves. The blooming flowers on the mountains like Malaya spread their fragrance everywhere through the blowing winds causing happiness and energy in the atmosphere. The weather is clear (unlike smoky and foggy air of winters). Forests are adorned with the blossoming trees like Kinshuka ( Forest flame ). Birds like cuckoo and bees sing and represent happy cheerful life on the earth. [1] The nature of spring or vasanta affects humans in such a way that one can feel the energy, affection and love in the air growing.

The advent of Vasant Ritu marks the end of cold winter season. In the northern parts of the country, Vasant Ritu heralds the beginning of outdoor activities like Kite flying and colourful Holi festival. The mid-point of Vasant Ritu is characterised by Vernal Equinox, which is also known as Vasant Sampat or Vasant Vishuva in the Vedic astrology. Equinoxes refers to tilt in the Earth’s axis in a manner that the inclination is neither towards nor away from the Sun. Equinoxes occur twice every year, during the spring and autumn season. Vernal Equinox is observed on the 20th or 21st of March and is characterised by equivalent number of hours during days and nights.

वसन्ते अग्निदोषादीनां गतिः॥ The status of bio-energies in body in Vasanta

The change of weather conditions affect the bio energies of human body. Atmosphere or weather of every season leads to some changes in the levels of Dosha, Dhatu, mala and agni in human body. There is either aggravation, vitiation or pacification of a particular element. Acharya Charaka and Acharya Vagbhata have clearly explained the effect of Vasanta rtu on these body elements.

कफश्चितो हि शिशिरे वसन्तेऽर्कांशुतापितः| हत्वाऽग्निं कुरुते रोगानतस्तं त्वरया जयेत्||१८|| (Asht. Hrud. Su. 3.18) [2] वसन्ते निचितः श्लेष्मा दिनकृद्भाभिरीरितः| कायाग्निं बाधते रोगांस्ततः प्रकुरुते बहून्||२२|| (Char. Samh. Su 6.22) [3]

The major change occurs in the state and strength of Agni. In the previous Shishira rtu, Kapha dosha has accumulated due to excess cold weather. This accumulated Kapha gets aggravated and starts mobilizing from all the parts of the body due to increasing temperature, looking as if it is melting down. This excess kapha then affects the agni and lowers down its strength. Agni strength is directly proportional to the immunity and inversely proportional to the disease development in one's body. Hence weakness of agni further lays foundation for development of various diseases in Vasanta Rtu if appropriate regime is not followed. ऋतुचर्याविधानम्॥ Rtucharya for Vasanta

Imbalance in the levels of functional elements or bio-energies of body caused due to the vasanta rtu can be controlled and illnesses due to these can be prevented by following a certain regime. This is called as Vasanta rtucharua vidhana and is discussed in brief below.

वसन्ते अपथ्यानि ॥ What should be strictly avoided in Vasanta rtu?

There are certain diet and lifestyle related things that should be strictly avoided in order to create balance and prevent illnesses in Vasanta rtu. The factors are listed below. [6] [7]

  • One must avoid eating food that is heavy to digest, unctuous or fatty (high calorie) and cold. This means especially the fried food should be avoided in this season.
  • Food that are sweet and sour in taste should be avoided. Hence desserts, ice-creams, sweets are best to be avoided.
  • Day time sleep is strictly prohibited in this season. Day time sleep is known as Diwaswapan (दिवास्वपनम्) in Ayurveda. It is said to aggravating Kapha dosha predominantly. In this season the Kapha is aggravated already due to the seasonal changes
  • Cold air, water, food should be avoided.

वसन्ते पथ्यानि ॥ What should be followed in Vasanta rtu?

There are lot of foods, activities and remedies that can keep one healthy and energetic despite disequilibrium of bodily elements in Vasanta rtu. [6] [7]

आहारः॥ Diet

  • One must take food that is light to digest and is less fatty (low calorie).
  • Old grains like Barley, wheat should be consumed.
  • Honey serves many purposes and acts as a superfood if consumed wisely in this season.
  • The meat of the animals from Jangala deshas (dry deserted regions) can be consumed after grilling it.
  • Certain fermented drinks like asavas & arishtas prepared from various herbs, alcoholic preparation of black raisins (mardvika) and honey (madhava) can be consumed for their medicinal benefit.
  • Water infused with dry ginger, honey, Jalada (Cyperus rotundus) is beneficial to keep check of Kapha and kindle the digestive fire.
  • The food that is predominantly bitter/pungent in taste, Ushna veerya (hot in potency), drying in nature is best suited in this season. However there should be a balance in making food choices and overindulgence in any type of food is not recommended.

विहारः॥ Lifestyle and activities

  • Vyayama (व्यायामम्) : Exercise is must in this season. One can keep check of kapha levels with right amount of exercise and enjoy the healthy life.
  • Udwartana (उद्वर्तनम्) : It means scrubbing body with dry fragrant powders of herbs. The very act of rubbing the powders or scrubbing is said to reduce the kapha dosha. Hence this activity which is also included in dinacharya (Daily routine) if intentionally practiced in this season can provide lot of health benefits.
  • Aghata (आघातः): Aghata means injury but in this context it refers to body massage by foot or the kneading type of body massage or deep tissue massage. It is beneficial to practice or get this massage done in Vasanta rutu. These activities Vyayama, Udwartana and aghata are said to lower the aggravated kapha from body.
  • Perfuming : After all above procedure one is advised to take a bath with warm water and then apply fragrances of saffron, aguru and sandalwood as a part of Vasanta rutu regime.
  • One should use warm water for all the cleaning purposes.
  • Kawala (कवलम्): Refers to gargling. Gargling with medicated water, decoctions or medicated oils is referred to as Kawala. It is a therapeutic procedure for many oral diseases in Ayurveda. However one is advised to practice it as a daily regime in Vasanta rtu to control Kapha.
  • Dhumapana (धूमपानम्): Refers to medicated smoking. Although a therapeutic procedure for various oral diseases in Ayurveda, it is advised to be included in regime of Vasanta rutu due to its kapha controlling activity. Smoking medicated vartis (वर्तिः । herbal cigars) in an appropriate way (to be learned from a vaidya) helps control kapha and vata as well.
  • Anjana (अञ्जनम्) : Refers to medicated collyrium. It also helps to keep check of Kapha especially in eyes and head region.
  • One should enjoy the youthfulness of women and of gardens in the afternoon period. A pleasant company of desirable woman in the place like garden where blooms and blossoms of flowers along with their fragrance create romantic weather is said to be helpful.

पंचकर्माणि॥ Panchakarmas done in Vasanta Rtu

Vasanta is the Shodhana Rtu which means specific panchakarma must be done in this season in order to bring about balance of doshas in body and achieve good health for entire year. Since Kapha dosha is aggravated in this season it is advised to be removed out of body through the procedure of Vamana (Therapeutic emesis).

हरेद्वसन्ते श्लेष्माणं पित्तं शरदि निर्हरेत् | वर्षासु शमयेद्वायुं प्राग्विकारसमुच्छ्रयात् ||३८|| Sus. Su. 6.38 तीक्ष्णैर्वमननस्याद्यै....र्जित्वा श्लेष्माणमुल्बणम्||१९| Asht. Hrud. 3.19

The specific Panchakarmas advised in Vasanta are,

  • Vamana (वमनम्) : Therapeutic emesis
  • Nasya (नस्यम्) : Nasal instillation of medicated oil/decoctions/juices/powders.

Other procedures under panchakarma advised in regime are,

  • Dhumapana (धूमपानम्) - Medicated smoking
  • Kawala (कवलम्) - Medicated gargling
  • Anjana (अञ्जनम्) - Collyrium

Ruturaj - Vasant Rtu or Spring Season is also known as ‘Rturaj’ or ‘King of all the Seasons’.

वसन्त्यस्मिन् सुखम् ।

During this time, there is neither cold nor heat and the climatic conditions are very pleasant. There is blossom and blooming of Flowers.

New year: Vasanta is considered as the beginning of the year in most of the cultures in Bharata. Thus a new year is celebrated on the days of Chaitra masa of Vasanta e.g. Gudi Padwa is celebrated as the Hindu New Year on the ‘Pratipada’ (1st day) of the month of Chaitra in Maharashtra. Ugadi begins from the first day of the ‘Chaitra’ month and marks the beginning of the New Year in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Festivals that appear in Vasanta Rtu and guide on useful regime

Some of the important Hindu festivals are celebrated during the time of Vasant Ritu.

Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami is an auspicious Hindu festival that marks the onset of the spring season or Vasant Ritu. This day also commemorates the day of birth of Devi Saraswati, the Hindu Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. Vasant Panchami is also known as ‘Shree Panchami’ and is observed on the ‘Shukla Paksha Panchami’ (5th day during the waxing phase of moon). According to one belief, Lord Brahma created the universe on this day. As per another Basant Panchami story, God Rama ate half tasted grapes of Mata Shabari on Basant Panchami. The festival of Vasant Panchami is celebrated with great zeal and fervor in different parts of the country. The day of Basant Panchami is considered as the beginning of life. This day is the day of arrival of happiness. The season of spring is the season of rebirth and renewal. In this season, fields of yellow mustard charm everyone’s heart. Therefore, it is also considered auspicious by many to wear yellow on Basant Panchami.

Gudi Padwa is celebrated as the Hindu New Year on the ‘Pratipada’ (1st day) of the month of Chaitra. It also marks the beginning of the auspicious 9-day long ‘Chaitra Navratri’ festivities. Gudi Padwa is celebrated with great pomp and show in the Indian state of Maharashtra and the adjoining regions.

The parts of the gudi that is installed on the day of Gudhi padwa symbolize the substances and flavours one has to add to his diet in upcoming season of the year. e.g. Neem leaves, sugar candies, The prasadam on this day also consists of Neem leaves, coriander seeds and jaggery or sugar. Neem (Azadirecta indica) is the medicinal herb well known to every Indian and widely grown across the country. The therapeutic activity of this herb lies in its bitter taste and dryness causing property. Both these properties make it opposite to Kapha dosha in Body. Therefore it is best suited herb to reduce naturally aggravated Kapha in Vasanta Rtu. Also it is widely available and thus included in the prasada form on the day of Gudhi padwa. Corriander seeds, Sugar help to reduce the excess drying and elimination of Kapha through body wastes smoothly.

The festival of Ugadi marks the beginning of the New Year in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The celebrations of Ugadi or Yugadi begins from the first day of the ‘Chaitra’ month, which is also first month of the traditional Hindu calendar. This day is celebrated with different traditions and rituals all across India.

The name is derived from the Sanskrit words ‘Yug’ and ‘Adi’,meaning ‘age’ and ‘starting’ respectively. Therefore, the word denotes the beginning of a new age. As with any other Hindu festival, there are several legends associated with the festival of Ugadi. But one of the most popular is that of Lord Brahma,who is said to have created the universe on this auspicious day, in the month of Chaitra. The occasion is also known as ChaitraSuddhaPadhyami.Since Ugadi also overlaps with the onset of spring and the harvest season, this day is believedto be highly auspicious forstarting new ventures.

Another inseparable ritual that has been followed for many years or maybe centuries is the preparation of a dish called Ugadi Pachhadi (Telegu). Also known as Bevu Bella in Kannada, the dish is a unique mixture of six different tastes, representing different experiences in life, which every individual should learn to respect and accept and move ahead unrelentingly. People eat neem and jaggery together welcoming a life full of beautifully heart warming events in the coming years. And the practice is called Bevu Bella.

Tastes Of Ugadi Pachadi

Many delicacies are prepared during this festival and UgadiPacchadi, is the most popular among them. This dish is a fusion of various tastes. The six tastes of UgadiPachhadi are sweet, sour, salty bitter, pungent and spicy and the basic ingredients are neem, jaggery, mango, tamarind, chilli and salt. These ingredients reflect the six aspects or emotions of life.

Symbolic Six Tastes of a Dish

The significance of this special dish UgadiPachhadi is that it symbolizes the six flavours of Ugadipachadi that reflects the various emotions of life as follows.

  • Neem- This ingredient has a bitter taste and hence it symbolizes the bitterness of life.
  • Jaggery- This imparts a sweet taste to the dish and symbolizes happiness of life.
  • Tamarind- It has a sour taste and it reflects the unpleasant, disgusting phase of life.
  • Mango- The tangy taste of the raw mango symbolizes the unexpected and the surprises of life.
  • Salt- The salty taste signifies the fear, the unknown.
  • Black pepper/Chilli- The red, hot chilli signifies the anger and outbursts in life.

Holi is the colourful festival of Hindus. It is one of the ancient festivals that celebrate the spirit of brotherhood. Holi is rightly referred as the ‘Spring Festival’ and people of all caste, creed or religious discriminations celebrate this festival of colors. It is undoubtedly one of the enjoyable and boisterous festivals of Hindus.

Holika dahana

Then on the eve of Holi, Holika Dahan takes place. Effigy of Holika, the devil minded sister of demon King Hiranyakashyap is placed in the wood and burnt. For, Holika tried to kill Hiranyakashyap's son Prahlad, an ardent devotee of Lord Naarayana. The ritual symbolises the victory of good over evil and also the triumph of a true devotee.

Children also hurl abuses at Holika and pray pranks, as if they still try to chase away Dhundhi who once troubled little ones in the Kingdom of Prithu. Some people also take embers from the fire to their homes to rekindle their own domestic fires.

Play of Colors

Next day, is of course the main day of Holi celebrations. The day is called Dhuleti and it is on this day that the actual play of colours take place. There is no tradition of holding puja and is meant for pure enjoyment.

Ranga Panchami: Ranga Panchami usually falls after five days of Holi festivity in rest of the India

The tradition of playing colours is particularly rampant in north India and even in that region, there can be no comparison to the Holi of Mathura and Vrindavan. In Maharashtra and Gujarat too Holi is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and fun.

Bihu is the most significant festival of Assam and is celebrated with full dedication by Assamese in all corners of the world. This festival is characterised by its unique traditions and rituals.Magh Bihu is a harvest festival celebrated in Assam and it marks the end of the harvesting season in the region. Magh Bihu is observed on the first day of Magh month as per Bengali Panjika. Magh Bihu is the Assam celebration of Sankranti and the celebrations last for a week. The festival of Magh Bihu is dedicated to Agni , the Lord of Fire. However in the rest of India the festival of Sankranti is dedicated to Surya , the Sun Lord. Magh Bihu is synonym of feasts and bonfires which begin one day before of Magh Bihu. The day preceding Magh Bihu is known as Uruka which is the last day of Poush month as per Assamese calendar. On Uruka day people erect makeshift huts, known as Meji , from bamboo, leaves and thatch. The food for feasting is prepared inside Meji and a community feast is held on the Uruka night. The Meji is burned the next morning and the ashes are scattered on the farmlands to increase fertility. Magh Bihu is also known as Bhogali Bihu and Maghar Domahi .

It is an ancient harvest festival celebrated in the Punjab region by all Punjabis regardless of their religion. For people of Punjab, especially the Sikhs, Vaisakhi is a very significant day. Vaisakhi is also celebrated as Sikh New Year based on Hindu Solar calendar. For the Sikh community, Vaisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also a religious festival. Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi as the day of the formation of the Khalsa (the pure one). On Vaisakhi day, in 1699, Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last Sikh Guru, established the Khalsa. He eliminated the difference between higher and lower caste communities and declared that all human beings are equal. Later the Guru tradition in Sikhism was put to an end and Guru Granth Sahib was declared as eternal guide and Holy Book of Sikhism. Vaisakhi is also spelled as Visakhi, Vaishakhi and Baisakhi.

Mesha Sankranti / Pohela Boishakh

Mesha Sankranti is celebrated as Naba Barsha (নববর্ষ) , Noboborsho or Pohela Boishakh in West Bengal. Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the Bengali Calendar. Hence Pohela Boishakh is also known as Bengali New Year. Bengali New Year is celebrated in West Bengal and among Bengali communities in Assam and Tripura and in Bangladesh.

Hanuman Jayanti

Rama Navami - On Rama Navami day Hindus celebrate the birth of Lord Rama. On this day Lord Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya

Hanuman Jayanti celebrates the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman and is observed on the ‘Purnima’ or the full moon of the Hindu month of ‘Chaitra’. Lord Hanuman is a dedicated devotee of Lord Rama and is also known as ‘Anjaneya’ or ‘Bajrang Bali’. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated with great devotion and love by the Hindus in all regions of India.

Buddha Purnima: Buddha Purnima also known as Buddha Jayanti is the most revered festivals of the Buddhist sect. This day honours the three significant events in the life of Gautama Buddha, His birth, His enlightenment and Nirvana. Buddha Purnima is celebrated on the ‘Purnima’ (full moon day) during the ‘Vaisakh’ month of the traditional Hindu calendar. On this day devout Buddhists worship Lord Buddha and spread his teachings to all.

Akshaya Tritiya - Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is one of the most auspicious days. This day is ruled by god Vishnu, the preserver-god in the Hindu Trinity.

According to the lunisolar  Hindu calendar , there are six seasons or  ritus  in a year. Since Vedic times, Hindus across India and South Asia have used this calendar to structure their lives around the seasons of the year. The faithful still use it today for important Hindu festivals and religious occasions.

Each season is two months long, and special celebrations and events occur during all of them. According to  Hindu scriptures , the six seasons are:

  • Vasant Ritu: Spring

Grishma Ritu: Summer

Varsha ritu: monsoon, sharad ritu: autumn.

  • Hemant Ritu: Pre-winter
  • Shishir or Shita Ritu: Winter

While the climate of northern India mostly conforms to these marked changes of season, the changes are less evident in Southern India, which lies close to the equator. 

Vasanta Ritu: Spring

Springtime, called Vasant Ritu , is considered the king of seasons for its mild, pleasant weather across much of India. In 2019, Vasant Ritu began on February 18 and ended on April 20.

The Hindu months of Chaitra and Baisakh fall during this season. It is also the time for some important Hindu festivals, including Vasant Panchami ,  Ugadi, Gudi Padwa , Holi , Rama Navami , Vishu, Bihu, Baisakhi, Puthandu, and  Hanuman Jayanti . 

The equinox, which marks the beginning of spring in India and the rest of the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere, occurs at the midpoint of Vasant. In Vedic astrology, the vernal equinox is called Vasant Vishuva or Vasant Sampat.

Summer, or Grishma Ritu , is when the weather grows gradually hotter across most parts of India. In 2019, Grishma Ritu begins on April 20 and ends on June 21.

The two Hindu months of Jyeshta and Aashaadha fall during this season. It is time for the Hindu festivals Rath Yatra  and  Guru Purnima .

Grishma Ritu ends on the solstice, known in Vedic astrology as Dakshinayana. It marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere and is the longest day of the year in India. In the southern hemisphere, the solstice marks the start of winter and is the shortest day of the year. 

The monsoon season or Varsha Ritu  is the time of year when it rains heavily across much of India. In 2019, Varsha Ritu begins on June 21 and ends on August 23.

The two Hindu months of Shravana and Bhadrapada, or Sawan and Bhado, fall during this season. Important festivals include Raksha Bandhan, Krishna Janmashtami , and  Onam .

The solstice, called  Dakshinayana , marks the beginning of Varsha Ritu and the official start of summer in India and the rest of the northern hemisphere. However, southern India is close to the equator, so "summertime" lasts much of the year.

Autumn is called Sharad Ritu, when the hot weather recedes gradually in most parts of India. In 2019, it begins on August 23 and end on October 23.

The two Hindu months of Ashwin and Kartik fall during this season. It is the festival time in India, with the most important Hindu festivals occurring, among them  Navaratri , Vijayadashami, and Sharad Purnima.

The autumnal equinox, which marks the beginning of fall in the northern hemisphere and spring in the southern hemisphere, occurs at the midpoint of Sharad Ritu. On this date, the day and night last exactly the same amount of time. In Vedic astrology, the autumnal equinox is called Sharad Vishuva or Sharad Sampat . 

Hemant Ritu: Prewinter

The time before winter is called Hemant Ritu . It is perhaps the most pleasant time of the year across India, weather-wise. In 2019, the season begins on October 23 and ends on December 21.

The two Hindu months of Agrahayana and Pausha, or Agahan and Poos, fall during this season. It is time for some of the most important Hindu festivals, including Diwali , the festival of lights, Bhai Dooj , and a number of new year's celebrations.

Hemant Ritu ends on the solstice, which marks the beginning of winter in India and the rest of the northern hemisphere. It is the shortest day of the year. In Vedic astrology, this solstice is known as Uttarayana .

Shishir Ritu: Winter

The coldest months of the year occur in winter, which is known as Shita Ritu or Shishir Ritu . In 2019, the season begins on December 21 and ends on February 18.

The two Hindu months of Magha and Phalguna fall during this season. It is time for some important harvest festivals, including Lohri , Pongal , Makar Sankranti, and the Hindu festival of Shivratri .

Shishir Ritu starts with the solstice, called Uttarayana in Vedic astrology. In the northern hemisphere, which includes India, the solstice signals the beginning of winter. In the southern hemisphere, it is the start of summer.

This festival honours the goddess Saraswati who is known as the deity of knowledge, wisdom, learning and art. Legend has it that on Vasant Panchami, Saraswati blessed the great Sanskrit poet Kalidasa, transforming him into a highly renowned poet. Devotees seek Saraswati’s wisdom and intelligence by praying to her on this day.

This festival marks the transition from winter to spring. Around the times of Vasant Panchami mustard fields bloom in vibrant yellow. This auspicious period is considered ideal for initiating new ventures like marriages, house purchases and job starts.

This festival is also observed in educational institutions such as schools and colleges, where students seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for wisdom, learning and knowledge. Students and teachers adorn themselves in new attire, offer prayers to the goddess of knowledge and arrange various song and dance programs to appease her. Devotees present offerings of boondi and ladoo to Goddess Saraswati. Sweet rice infused with saffron and dry fruits becomes a common preparation in households. Mango wood, coconut, Ganga water and fruits are also offered.

In the state of Punjab, it is customary to relish Maake ki Roti and Sarson Ka Saag during this festival. Meanwhile, Bihar celebrates Saraswati Puja by presenting delectables like Kheer, Malpua and Bundi to the goddess. Traditional festive dishes such as khichuri, mixed vegetables, kesar halwa, kesari bhaat, payesh, begun bhaja, sondesh and rajbhog are prepared as offerings on this special day. On Murti Visthapan day, elaborate processions take place, culminating in the immersion of Maa Saraswati idols in the sacred waters of the Ganga with solemnity. The celebration is completed by savouring Dahi Chura along with gur and banana.

Six Seasons of India

According to the Hindu Calendar, there are 6 seasons or ‘Ritu’ in a year. Since Vedic times, the various seasons in the Indian subcontinent was classified into these six categories. While North India mostly conforms to this marked change of seasons, it is less so in South India which is mostly marked by long summers and light winters. The six Indian seasons classified in the Hindu scriptures are:

  • Vasant Ritu or Spring
  • Grishma Ritu or Summer
  • Varsha Ritu or Monsoon
  • Sharad Ritu or Autumn
  • Hemant Ritu or Pre-winter
  • Shishir / Shita Ritu or Winter

VASANT RITU:

Springtime is called ‘Vasant Ritu’ when it is neither too hot or cold in most parts of India. The two Hindu months of Chaitra and Baisakh fall during this season. It is time for some important Hindu festivals including a number of new years. The auspicious occasions of this season are Vasant Panchami, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Holi, Rama Navami, Vishu, Bihu, Baisakhi, Puthandu, Hanuman Jayanti, to name a few. Vasant is also known as ‘Rituraj’ or the king of seasons.

This year, Vasant Ritu starts on February 18, 2014 and ends on April 20, 2014

The mid-point of Vasant Ritu is marked by the Vernal Equinox. Equinoxes occur twice a year, in spring and autumn when the tilt of the Earth’s axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun. The dates for equinoxes are March 20 or 21 (Vernal Equinox) and September 22 or 23 (Autumnal Equinox) every year when days and nights have equal number of hours. Vernal Equinox is springtime in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the southern hemisphere and vice versa. According to Vedic Astrology, Vernal Equinox is called Vasant Vishuva or Vasant Sampat.

GRISHMA RITU:

Summer is called ‘Grishma Ritu’ when the weather is at its hottest in most parts of India. The two Hindu months of Jyeshta and Aashaadha fall during this season. It is time for some such Hindu festivals as Rath Yatra, Guru Purnima, etc.

This year, Grishma Ritu starts on April 20, 2014 and ends on June 21, 2014

Grishma Ritu ends with Summer Solstice. The Solstice occurs twice a year, in summer and in winter when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky as seen from the North or South Poles. During June, Summer Solstice occurs in the Northern hemisphere and Winter Solstice in the Southern hemisphere. Summer Solstice falls on June 20 and 21 which includes the longest day of the year. In Vedic astrology, Solstice is known as Dakshinayana.

VARSHA RITU:

The monsoon season is called ‘Varsha Ritu’ when it rains in most parts of India. The two Hindu months of Shravana & Bhadrapada or Sawan & Bhado fall during this season. It is time for some such Hindu festivals as Raksha Bandhan, Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, etc.

This year, Varsha Ritu starts on June 21, 2014 and ends on August 23, 2014

Varsha Ritu starts with Summer Solstice. The Solstice occurs twice a year, in summer and in winter when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky as seen from the North or South Poles. During June, Summer Solstice occurs in the Northern hemisphere and Winter Solstice in the Southern hemisphere. Summer Solstice falls on June 20 and 21 which includes the longest day of the year.

SHARAD RITU:

 Autumn is called ‘Sharad Ritu’ when the hot weather recedes gradually in most parts of India. The two Hindu months of Ashwin and Kartik fall during this season. It is festival time in India with the most important Hindu festivals falling during this time – Navaratri, Vijayadashami, and Sharad Purnima, to name a few.

This year, Sharad Ritu starts on August 23, 2014 and ends on October 23, 2014

The mid-point of Sharad Ritu is marked by the Autumnal Equinox. Equinoxes occur twice a year, in spring and autumn when the tilt of the Earth’s axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun. The dates for Autumnal equinox are September 22 or 23 – a time when days and nights have equal number of hours. Autumnal Equinox is autumn in the northern hemisphere and spring in the southern hemisphere and vice versa. According to Vedic Astrology, Vernal Equinox is called Sharad Vishuva or Sharad Sampat.

HEMANT RITU:

The time before winter is called ‘Hemant Ritu’ when it perhaps the pleasant time of the year across India. The two Hindu months of Agrahayana & Pausha or Agahan & Poos fall during this season. It is time for some of the most important Hindu festivals including Diwali, the festival of lights, Bhai Dooj, and a number of new years.

This year, Hemant Rity starts on October 23, 2014 and ends on December 22, 2014

Hemant Ritu ends with Winter Solstice. The Solstice occurs twice a year, in summer and in winter when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky as seen from the North or South Poles. During December, Winter Solstice occurs in the Northern hemisphere and Summer Solstice in the Southern hemisphere. Winter Solstice falls on December 21 and 22 which includes the shortest day of the year. In Vedic astrology, this Solstice is known as Uttarayana.

SHISHIR / SHITA RITU:  

The winter time is called ‘Shita or Shishir Ritu’ when it is the coldest time of the year in most parts of India. The two Hindu months of Magha and Phalguna fall during this season. It is time for some important harvest festivals including Lohri, Pongal,Makar Sankranti, and Uttarayan and the Hindu festival of Shivratri.

This year, Shishir Ritu starts on December 22, 2014 and ends on February 19, 2015

Shishir Ritu starts with Winter Solstice. The Solstice occurs twice a year, in summer and in winter when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky as seen from the North or South Poles. During December, Winter Solstice occurs in the Northern hemisphere and Summer Solstice in the Southern hemisphere. Winter Solstice falls on December 21 and 22 which includes the shortest day of the year. In Vedic astrology, this Solstice is known as Uttarayana.

तु दृष्ट्या अस्मद्देश; अन्येभ्यः सर्वदेशभ्यः विलक्षणः सौभाग्यशाली च वति । अत्र वसन्तः, ग्रीष्मः, वर्षा, शरद, हेमन्तः, शिशिरः च इत्यादयो षड् तवः भवन्ति । तेषु वसन्तः ‘तुराजः’ उच्यते । अस्मिन् जब्तौ शीतस्य न्यूनता, उष्णताया: च पूर्णतया अभावो भवति । प्रातः सायं च सुगन्धः सुखप्रदः वायु वहति । अयं

तुः सर्वेषां आनन्ददायिनी अस्ति । बाल्मीकि रामायणे वसन्तस्य अपूवम् शोभाम्। वर्णयन् रामः लक्ष्मणम् प्रति आह –

सुखानिलोऽयं सौमित्रे, कालः प्रचुर मन्मथः ।।

गन्धवान् सुरभिर्मासो जात पुष्प फल द्रुमाः ।।

वसन्त-शोभा प्रभावित, रामः अग्रेऽपि वर्णयतिः

पश्य रूपाणि सौमित्रे वनानाम् पुष्प शानिनाम्

सृजताम् पुष्प वर्षाणि वर्षे तोयमुचामिव ।।

वसन्ते वृक्षेषु नवानि पल्लवानि उद्भवन्ति । उद्यानानि कुसुमैः आच्छादिताः भवन्ति । क्षेत्रेषु पीत-वर्णानि सर्षप पुष्पाणि शोभन्ते । आप्तस्य वृक्षेषु मञ्जर्य: आगच्छन्ति वसन्ते कोकिल कूजनम् तु विशेषतः आनन्दं जनयति । अतएव कालिदासेन उच्यते –

द्रुमाः सपुष्पाः, सलिलं सपर्ट्स

स्त्रियः सकामाः, पवनः सुगन्धिः ।

सुखाः प्रदोघा दिवसश्च रात्रि ।

सर्वं प्रियं चारुतरे वसन्ते ।।

गीतायां श्रीकृष्णेन “क्तूनां कुसुमाकरः उक्त्वा वसन्तस्य महत्तां प्रतिपादिता। बसन्त ऋतौ माघमासे शुक्ल पक्षस्य पञ्चम्यां तिथी वसन्त पञ्चमी उत्सवः भवति। अस्मिन् उत्सवे छात्राः प्रभाते सरस्वती पूजनं कुर्वन्ति । जनाः पीतानि वस्त्राणि धारयन्ति । नरः नार्यश्च सर्वत्र गतिकानि गायन्ति नृत्यान्त च ।। स्वास्थ्य दृष्ट्या अपि वसन्तः विशेषतः लाभप्रदो भवति । ।

ऋतुराज बसंत पर निबंध | Essay on Spring Season in Hindi!

भारत देश में निश्चित समय पर ऋतुओं का परिवर्तन होता रहता है । सभी ऋतुएँ अपना महत्व एवं प्रभाव छोड़ती हैं । ग्रीष्म ऋतु में मनुष्य सूर्य की तीव्र उष्णता का अनुभव करता है तो शरद ऋतु में ठंड से कंपकंपाहट का ।

इसी प्रकार वर्षा ऋतु में अधिक वर्षा से उसके सारे कार्य रुक जाते हैं । इसके विपरीत बसंत ऋतु में वातावरण इतना सुवासित व सुमधुर होता है कि संपूर्ण जनमानस इसे ‘ऋतुराज’ की संज्ञा देता है । ऋतुराज बसंत वास्तविक रूप में ऋतु शिरोमणि है ।

अंग्रेजी तिथि के अनुसार बसंत 22 फरवरी से लेकर 22 अप्रैल तक रहता है परंतु हमारी भारतीय गणना के अनुसार यह ऋतु फाल्गुन माह से बैशाख माह तक रहती है । इस ऋतु काल में ही संवत् वर्ष एवं सौर वर्ष का नया चंद्र प्रारंभ होता है । पौराणिक मान्यताओं के आधार पर यह ऋतु भगवान कामदेव के पुत्र बसंत के आगमन का प्रतीक है । सौंदर्य, रंग-रूप के प्रतीक कामदेव के पुत्रोत्पत्ति का सुखद समाचार पाकर संपूर्ण धरा प्रफुल्लित हो उठी थी ।

ऋतुराज बसंत का आगमन बच्चे, बूढ़े, युवक आदि प्रत्येक वर्ग के लोगों के लिए सुखदायी होता है । इसके अगमन से पूर्व शरद ऋतु की भीषण ठंड दूर हो जाती है । शरद ऋतु की कंपन से दूर यह ऋतु सृष्टि में नवीनता का प्रतिनिधि बनकर आती है । इसके आगमन के समय वातावरण में न विशेष गरमी होती है और न ही ठंड । हर ओर सुवासित वायु लोगों के मन को आकृष्ट करती है ।

ऋतुराज बसंत के आगमन पर संपूर्ण धरती मानो खुशी से झूम उठती है । पेड़-पौधे, फूल-पत्तियाँ आदि सभी ऐसे प्रतीत होते हैं जैसे बसंत के आगमन पर खुशी में नृत्य कर रहे हैं । वन, उपवन, गली-कूचे, गाँव, घर सभी ओर बसंत ऋतु की छटा देखते ही बनती है । इस ऋतु में पूरी धरती पर हरियाली छा जाती है । धरती पर बिछी हरी-हरी घास व वातावरण में सब ओर नवीनता मन को अत्यधिक प्रफुल्लित करती है ।

बसंत ऋतु काल में वृक्षों पर नए पत्ते आ जाते हैं जो प्राय: शीत ऋतु में झड़ गए होते हैं । उपवनों में नए-नए रंग-बिरंगे पुष्पों के खिलने का समय भी बसंत ऋतु ही होता है । इन आकर्षक फूलों की सुंदरता देखते ही बनती है । दिल्ली का विख्यात मुगल गार्डन भी तरह-तरह के आकर्षक एवं खुशबूदार पुष्पों के लिए प्रसिद्‌ध है । यह वर्ष भर में इसी अवधि में जन साधारण के लिए खुलता है जिसे देखने के लिए लोग दूर-दूर से आते हैं ।

बसंत ऋतु के आगमन पर आम के वृक्ष बौर से लद जाते हैं । चारों ओर कोयल की मधुर कुक सभी का मन मोह लेती है । इसी समय सरसों की फसल भी फूलती है । खेतों में चारों ओर पीली सरसों ऐसी प्रतीत होती है जैसे प्रकृति ने पूरी धरती पर पीली ओढ़नी डाल दी है ।

जब सुवासित वायु के संपर्क से यह फसल झूमती है तो कृषकों का मन यह सब देखकर फूला नहीं समाता है । इसी प्रकार प्रकृति की सुंदरता उस समय देखते ही बनती है जब प्रात:काल धरती पर बिछी हुई घास पर ओस नहीं अपितु मोती बिखरे होते हैं । ऐसे मादक वातावरण में कवि का हृदय भी झूम उठता है:

” आज इस यौवन के माधवी कुंज में कोकिल बोल रहा ! मधु पीकर पागल हुआ , करता प्रेम – प्रलाप । ”

इस ऋतु में पड़ने वाले हिंदुओं के प्रमुख पर्व होली व रामनवमी सभी के लिए विशेष महत्व रखते हैं । रंगों का त्योहार होली खुशियों के अनेक रंग भारतीय जनमानस के लिए लाता है । सभी इस त्योहार में अपने वैमनस्य को भुलाकर गले मिलते हैं व खुशी मनाते हैं । हिंदुओं की पौराणिक मान्यता है कि समस्त देवगण भी इसी ऋतु में धरा पर अवतरित होते हैं । लोग पूर्ण श्रद्‌धा और विश्वास के साथ चैत्र नवरात्रि में व्रत व उपवास रखते हैं । कई स्थानों पर माँ दुर्गा की प्रतिमा की स्थापना की जाती है ।

स्वास्थ्य की दृष्टि से भी यह ऋतु श्रेष्ठ होती है । चारों ओर हरियाली व सुहावने वातावरण से मनुष्य में एक नई स्फूर्ति व चेतना का विकास होता है । कवियों और साहित्यकारों के लिए बसंत ऋतु अत्यधिक महत्वपूर्ण है । प्रकृति की अनुपम छटा उनके लिए प्रेरणा का श्रोत बनती है ।

अनेक कवियों व साहित्यकारों ने बसंत ऋतु की प्रशंसा में अनेकों रचनाएँ की हैं । उनकी दृष्टि में यह ऋतु उत्साहवर्धक, प्रेरणादायक व अत्यंत रोचक है । प्रकृति की सुंदर छटा देखकर प्रेमियों का मन-मयूर नृत्य करने लगता है ।

” कोमल द्रुमदल निष्कंप रहे , ठिठका – सा चंद्र खड़ा माधव सुमनों में गूँठ रहा तारों की किरन अनी । ”

इस प्रकार बसंत ऋतु निस्संदेह हर दृष्टि में सभी ऋतुओं में श्रेष्ठ है । प्रकृति की अनुपम मनमोहक व निराली छटा को देखकर मन स्वयं ही इसे ‘ऋतुराज’ कह उठता है । यह निस्संदेह संपूर्ण जन-मानस व प्रकृति के नवनिर्माण की ऋतु है ।

और जब प्रकृति द्‌वारा किसी तरह का निर्माण कार्य किया जाता है तो चराचर सभी जीवों का भी नवनिर्माण होने लगता है । हमारे मन-मस्तिष्क में शुभ का निर्माण हो तो अशुभ विचारधाराएँ स्वयमेव समाप्त हो सकती हैं ।

પ્રકૃતિના પરિવર્તનની ઓળખ મેળવવા દરેક સમયખંડને અપાયેલું નામ એ ઋતુ છે. અંગ્રેજી કેલેન્ડરમાં ચાર ઋતુ (સમર, વિન્ટર, રેઇન, ઑટમન) છે. દેશી ત્રણ (શિયાળો-ઉનાળો-ચોમાસું), અને હિન્દુ પંચાંગ શરદ, હેમંત, શિશિર, ગ્રીખ, વસંત અને વર્ષો એમ છ ઋતુ ગણાવે છે. ઋતુસંખ્યા ભલે વત્તીઓછી હોય, બહુધા મુખ્ય ઋતુઓ અને તેની સાર્વત્રિક અસરો સર્વસામાન્ય હોય છે. વર્ષભરની બધી ઋતુઓમાં સૌથી વધુ ઉત્તમ, સુખકર અને સર્વપ્રિય ઋતુ વસંત હોવાથી એને ઋતુઓનો રાજા ગણવામાં આવે છે. પાનખર પૂરી થતાં પોષના અંતે અથવા જાન્યુઆરીના આરંભમાં વસંત જામવા માંડે છે. ઊતરતી ઠંડી અને મોહક ગરમીને લીધે વસંતમાં વાતાવરણ સમશીતોષ્ણ રહેતું હોય છે. પરિણામે આ ઋતુમાં બાળકો, યુવાનો અને વૃદ્ધ સર્વના જીવનમાં જાણે એક નવા ચેતનનો અનુભવ થતો જણાય છે.

વસંતનું આગમન પ્રકૃતિમાં નવચેતનાનો સંચાર કરે છે. શિશિરમાં છીનવાયેલી વનરાજીનો વૈભવ નવલાં રૂપ, રંગ, અને પરાગ લઈને વનઉપવનમાં પાછો દષ્ટિગોચર થાય છે. ધરતીની વનશ્રી સોહામણો શૃંગાર ધારણ કરે છે. વસુંધરા અંગડાઈ લઈ બેઠી થાય છે. એના અણુઅણુમાં ચેતના અને પ્રસન્નતા પ્રગટે છે. અંગેઅંગ જાણે નૃત્ય કરતું હોય એમ લાગે છે. વસંતના આવા તાજગીભર્યા આગમન સાથે પ્રકૃતિમાં જાણે આનંદની લહેર ફેલાઈ જાય છે. સૃષ્ટિનું સૌંદર્ય સોળે કળાએ ખીલી ઊઠે છે. વસંતની પધરામણીને આમ્રકુંજમાં બેઠેલી કોયલ મધુર ટહુકારથી વધારે છે. લાલઘૂમ કેસૂડો જાણે કુમકુમથી વસંતને સત્કારે છે. જૂઈ, મધુમાલતી અને મોગરા જેવાં વિવિધ પુષ્પોથી વાતાવરણ પ્રફુલ્લિત બને છે. આ ફૂલોની સૌરભ સાથે વહેતી વાયુ માદક હોય છે. પ્રેમીઓને માટે તે માહક બની રહે છે.

પાનખરમાં પ્રકૃતિ જીર્ણ વસ્ત્રો ત્યાગે છે, તો વસંતમાં નવાં ધારણ કરે છે. ઉજ્જડ વૃક્ષો પર નવી કુંપળો ફૂટે છે, જેથી આ તરુવર વધુ સુશોભિત બને છે. આંબા ઉપર મંજરીઓ મહોરી ઊઠે છે. છોડ પર રંગબેરંગી પુષ્પોની બિછાત પ્રસરતી દેખાય છે. કદરૂપા જણાતા ખાખરા કેસૂડાથી ઝૂમી ઊઠે છે. સર્વત્ર ફેલાયેલી લીલોતરી વસંતનો પૂરો પ્રભાવ પ્રસરાવી દે છે. આ નવી ત્રઋતુનું આગમન ચારે બાજુ ચેતનાનો સંચાર કરે છે. આથી વસંતને નવસૃજનની ઋતુ ગણવામાં આવે છે. પ્રકૃતિ પોતાનું સમગ્ર સૌંદર્ય, સૌરભ અને ચેતન મનભરીને ઠાલવી દે છે. વસુંધરાનું આવું અનુપમ સૌંદર્ય વર્ષની અન્ય કોઈ ઋતુમાં પ્રગટતું ન હોવાથી શ્રેષ્ઠ એવી વસંતને કવિઓ “ઋતુરાજ' કહે તેમાં અતિશયોક્તિ નથી.

સામાન્ય પ્રજા વસંત પ્રત્યે બેધ્યાન હોય છે. ત્યારે કવિઓ અને યુવાનપ્રજા વસંત પ્રત્યે ખૂબ સભાન હોય છે. વસંત તો કવિઓની પ્રિય ઋતુ છે. વસંતનું આગમન કવિચિત્તને આંદોલિત કરીને નવા સર્જન પ્રત્યે પ્રેરે છે. આ ઋતુનો વૈભવ જોઈને મુગ્ધ થતા ચિત્રકારો પણ અવનવાં ચિત્રો દોરે છે. યુવાન નરનારીઓનાં હૈયાને હચમચાવતી ઋતુ વસંત છે. માત્ર પ્રકૃતિ કે પશુપક્ષી જ નહીં, માનવો ઉપર પણ વસંતનો અનેરો જાદુ પથરાય છે. વસંતનું માદક વાતાવરણ યુવાન હૈયાંઓને ઘેલાંઘેલાં કરી મૂકે છે. પ્રણયમુગ્ધ નરનારીઓ ઉલ્લાસભેર ફાગ ખેલે છે. ફાગણનો વાયુ વનમાં એમ પ્રજાજનમાં પણ પ્રસરી રહે છે. જનપદોમાં કે નગરોમાં સર્વત્ર જુદી જુદી રીતે વસંતોત્સવો યોજાય છે. પોતાની મનગમતી રીતે સૌ વસંતને વધાવે છે. “વસંતવિલાસ'નું આપણા એક અજ્ઞાત કવિનું ફાગુકાવ્ય યુવાનોના વસંતોત્રોવનો સુંદર પરિચય આપે છે. હોળી-ધુળેટી જેવા ઉત્સવ વસંતના ચેતન અને પ્રેરણાનું પરિણામ છે. અબીલગુલાલ અને વિવિધ રંગોમાં છાંટીઘૂંટાઈને નરનારીઓ તથા ભૂલકાંઓ પણ રંગાઈ જાય છે. અંતરના ઉમંગની આનંદદાયક અભિવ્યક્તિ આથી વધુ સુંદર બીજી કઈ હોઈ શકે !
