16+ Printable Spanish Worksheets at SpanishPod101

How to Use SpanishPod101’s Worksheets

Just download our Spanish worksheets PDF files and print them out! Then, practice writing out words and phrases on the provided lines on the inside. It’s as simple as that.

How the Spanish alphabet worksheet works:

The first thing any beginner should learn is the alphabet. However, most schools can take a week to teach you the alphabet. But, with these worksheets, you can learn the alphabet in an hour or less!

Just practice writing out the characters inside the worksheet. You’ll even get a chance to practice writing a few simple words. Once you’re done with the alphabet worksheet, feel free to move on to the other Spanish worksheet PDFs.

Here’s how the Spanish writing worksheets work:

In the first part, you’ll get the Spanish word and its meaning, and your job is to write the word in Spanish.

In the second part, you get the Spanish word without any translations. Your job is to write the English translation here.

The third part will test your ability to recall the Spanish words. Here, you only get the English translation. Your job is to try and remember the Spanish word and write it out on the provided line.

By the end, you’ll remember the words because you’re tested on them in multiple ways: 1) recalling the meaning of the Spanish word and 2) recalling the Spanish word from the English translation.

You can also print out several copies of the Spanish worksheet PDFs in order to get extra practice.

5 Reasons Why You Should Learn with Worksheets

  • They’re 100% FREE at SpanishPod101.
  • You get practice writing in Spanish.
  • You get to remember Spanish much better.
  • You’ll be able to speak and understand more Spanish as a result.
  • You’ll never learn if you don’t practice.

You’re here because you want to learn Spanish, right?

Well, If you want to learn and speak flowing Spanish, you can’t just passively read or listen to Spanish and hope it sticks. A few words may stick but you will forget a majority of what you hear and learn. And you’re probably already well aware of how quickly you forget what you learn, right? Let’s change that.

So, if you want to truly learn Spanish, you’ll need to practice. Repeated practice is what cements the Spanish into your brain. And that’s where our Spanish worksheets for beginners come in.

Not only will you learn words, phrases, and Spanish grammar, but you also get a chance to practice what you’ve learned and cement these words into your head. The worksheets are designed to teach and test you, so that you end up remembering the Spanish better.

Best of all? They’re free for SpanishPod101 members. So, download the printable Spanish worksheets, print them out and start practicing Spanish.

The result? You’ll know and speak more Spanish. And of course, you’ll be able to write as well.

Worksheets for learning Spanish

Worksheets are a very important part of learning Spanish. Children learn in different ways and engaging them with coloring, drawing, exercises and puzzles really helps them develop their language skills. Having a short worksheet time during your lesson allows students to have quiet time whilst doing some fun individual activities. The teacher can ask questions as students are doing their worksheets (e.g. What's this? Do you like apples? etc.), the worksheets can be used as a review aid, they can be put on the classroom walls and be given for homework.

I have a pack of free alphabet posters, flashcards, tracing sheets, letter recognition and sound worksheets you can get for free. Sign up to receive them email here or keep scrolling to see what’s included!

First of all, let’s get some FAQ out of the way!

How Many Letters are in the Spanish Alphabet?

The Spanish Alphabet contains 27 letters. This may still come as a surprise to some learners and teachers, because in the past it had 29.

However, “ch” and “ll” are no longer considered part of the official alphabet. This change was announced by the Royal Academia Española in 2014:

“Se excluyen definitivamente del abecedario los signos  ch  y  ll … El abecedario del español queda así reducido a las veintisiete letras siguientes:  a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, ñ, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z. “ – – Exclusión de «ch» y «ll» del abecedario, RAE

Related: ABC songs in Spanish.

How is each letter pronounced?

The easiest way to learn the pronunciation of how to say each letter name is to hear it , of course. You can access audio for both the letter names and letter sounds at SpanishDict.com.

However, if you’d like to see how to write the pronunciation of each letter, I have that for you below. Keep in mind that the RAE has updated the names of the letters, so what many of us learned a few years ago may have changed.

(Note- these phonetic alphabet guides only work when both the reader and writer have similar accents in English, of course. I’m from the US and prefer pronunciation guides that use “eh” instead of “ay” for example, because many speaker from the US will overemphasize the soft sound the letter should have.)

A – ah B – beh (or soft bay) C – seh (or soft say) D – deh (or soft day) E – eh (or soft ay) F – ef-feh (or soft ef-fay) G – heh (hay) H – ach-eh (or soft ach-ay) I – ee J – ho-ta

K – kah L – el- eh (or soft el-ay) M – em-eh (or soft em-ay) N – en-eh (or soft en-ay) Ñ – en-yeh (or soft en-nay) O – oh P – peh (or soft pay) Q – koo R – er-e S – es-eh (or soft es-say)

T – teh (or soft tay) U – ooh V – oo-veh (or soft bay – “v” is pronounced as a soft “b” sound) W – u-veh doble (sometimes veh-do-ble) X – eh-kis Y – yeh (or soft yay, formerly ee-griega) Z – seh-ta (or soft say-tah)

Videos for learning the spanish letters.

Songs are a great way, of course, to learn the ABCs and their oder. There isn’t one classic song like there is in English, but I do have a more extensive post with options for all ages here .

For an overview of the alphabet, this video teaches each letter name and sound(s), and then goes more in-depth into the pronunciation of each:

To learn the names of each Spanish letter, el Mono Sílabo is very popular and has videos about specific vowels and syllables as well for kids:

For young children, this is a simple video/song that teaches the sounds the letter make:

I’ll be using your graphic and the mono video, but I wish Basho would update their video since I like them for older kids.

The website displays the flashcards you create and quizzes you on them, reinforcing the cards you get wrong and breezing through the ones you get right. The best part is you can share these with friends and teachers.

Creating an account is free, or a premium option offers personalized learning and offline support.

Reddit has a little something for everybody, and it makes for a great Spanish homework helper. With sites such as r/Spanish you’ll find lists of resources, YouTube channels, books, and much more.

And if that’s not enough, the Spanish-speaking community in the subreddit is helpful and always eager to show how much they know about Spanish. Just write a post and ask a question related to Spanish, and a kind stranger will answer to the best of their ability.

Chegg is probably the weirdest named site on this list, and maybe the whole Spanish-speaking community on the internet. But don’t let the silly name fool you; this site is no joke.

From flashcards to a plagiarism checker to Spanish textbook discounts, there are many benefits to this site that are sure to make your learning experience easier. It focuses on math and science, but if you need to buy a textbook, or if you want some pre-made flashcards, Chegg is a great place to look.

The Real Academia Española, or RAE, is where most Spanish speakers go when they want to settle a grammar dispute. This group of literature connoisseurs has dedicated themselves to recording and updating the “correct” way to speak Spanish for centuries.

Language is fluid and always changing, and RAE is dedicated to keeping a record of Spanish trends and rules. If you’re ever in doubt regarding a rule or word, RAE will have a great research-based answer.

YouTube is full of math tutors, science geeks, and Spanish experts. It’s a great place to go if you’re an auditory learner like myself. Videos are short and easy to grasp.

Let me recommend to you three excellent Spanish learning channels to serve as your Spanish homework helper.

Spanish Academy TV

Spanish Academy TV is Homeschool Spanish Academy’s very own Spanish learning YouTube Channel! You’ll find focused Spanish lessons, cultural videos, and fun songs.

Hola Soy German / Juega German

One of the biggest Spanish YouTube channels, Hola Soy German is a fast speaker; great for intermediate or advanced learners.

Wikiseba offers educational videos on various topics with great visuals that will help you with more than just Spanish homework.

For more, check our list of 25 YouTube channels to learn Spanish !

The Discord app offers multiple chat rooms based on different topics. Think of it as a faster, chat-based Reddit.

Many young people use this app to chat with their friends while playing video games, but it can also be used to talk with focused communities such as Spanish learners. Pop into a channel to ask a question, and a helpful stranger may jump onto a voice chat to help you out.

Channels such as Cozy Spanish Group Chat or Español e Inglés are good places to start. The smaller size of these communities means you will get slower answers, but your questions won’t get lost in a sea of messages.

7. 24 Hour Answers

24 Hour Answers is a great place for advanced speakers to turn to when they need a Spanish homework helper. This is a paid site, but unlike many of its competitors, you pay on an as-needed basis.

Use this site for any subject you like, including Spanish. If you have a paper that needs to be proofread, or any kind of Spanish homework that’s a bigger challenge than you anticipated, this site is a great place to turn to.

Just write your question, attach any relevant files, and wait for someone to help you out! The pricing varies depending on the complexity and length of your query, so make sure you exhaust any other options before turning to this Spanish homework helper site.

Linguee has a dictionary like no other. Using information from all over the internet, this dictionary helps you translate words and phrases that many regular translators won’t be able to tackle.

It’s a fantastic way to learn about regional speech differences and technical language translations, so check it out if your average translator falls short of your expectations.

Lang-8 is a chatroom with a learning twist. You can have conversations with native Spanish speakers that want to learn English, and have each other proofread what you wrote.

This is a brilliant way to connect with a native speaker and get insights you wouldn’t otherwise have, such as false cognates or regionally specific words. By using this service as your Spanish homework helper you might even find a new friend!

10. Spanish Academy

Finally, Spanish Academy is a great Spanish homework helper! Our blog has hundreds of posts designed to help you learn Spanish and make your homework easier. From vocabulary lists to specific subjects, all of our posts are made to make your life—and homework—easier.

Some of the great Spanish homework helpers we have available are our list of false cognates , and high frequency Spanish words .

Check our site frequently to keep up with our multiple daily posts. Remember to use the search bar to find the topic you’d like to learn about!

5 Star Spanish Articulation Cards ⭐️

spanish homework pictures

Speech therapy cards in Spanish can be difficult to find. That’s why I created 5 Star Spanish Articulation Cards!

spanish homework pictures

Here are 5 reasons why these cards are so special :

  • First, they have a stimulus word and a sentence . It makes it easy for the SLP to use these cards and move up beyond the sentence level. The sentences are basic for students still learning those phonemes.
  • The cards come in color and black and white . You can print off the color pictures and laminate them. The black and white ones can be printed and used in sessions with crayons, and then sent home as homework.
  • The stars are reinforcing for students to keep them motivated to make correct productions. AND they will help you keep track of data calculation (a nice round number).
  • The cover the most frequently disordered phonemes (that I have seen in my work): F, CH, K, G, L, S, and R as well as L-blends and R-blends . You can buy them in the full bundle or individually.
  • The images match up to the pictures well so if you are working with non-readers, you can show them the picture to elicit the word without a model.

Check them out here: ⭐️ 5 Star Spanish Articulation Cards – Bundle ⭐️ There are 156 pages in this pack!! I’m telling you, you will love it.

Speech therapy cards are great for students who are working on correcting speech sound errors in Spanish.

Tips for Using Speech Therapy Cards in Spanish

  • Choose cards that target the specific sounds that your child is having trouble with.  There are many different speech therapy cards available, so take some time to find ones that are appropriate for your child’s needs.
  • Start with simple cards and gradually work your way up to more complex ones.  If your child is just starting out, it may be helpful to start with cards that have only one sound on each card. As your child progresses, you can start using cards with more sounds on each card.
  • Make sure the cards are visually appealing to your child.  Children are more likely to be motivated to use speech therapy cards if they are visually appealing. Choose cards with bright colors and interesting pictures.
  • Matching:  Match the picture on the card to the sound that it represents.
  • Sorting:  Sort the cards by sound.
  • Sentence building:  Use the cards to build sentences.
  • Singing:  Sing songs that use the target sounds.
  • Playing games:  There are many different games that you can play with speech therapy cards.
  • Be patient and consistent.  It takes time and practice for children to learn to produce sounds correctly. Be patient and consistent with your child’s speech therapy activities.
  • Praise progress.  It is important to praise students for their progress, even if it is small. This will help them stay motivated.
