Ferrari 2023 (675): date set for f1 car presentation and first filming day at imola . date set for f1 car presentation ..

Well in advance, Aston Martin was the first team to officially announce the date of the presentation of the new AMR23, which will be unveiled on 13 February at 8.00 pm on the Silverstone Campus. Regarding the presentations, it is usually normal for team managers to agree that the cars are presented without overlapping and not creating a kind of media tilt, leaving the necessary space for each ‘unveiling’ for obvious purely commercial reasons.

The new Ferrari 2023 will be presented on February 14th, according to F1 experts Giuliano Duchessa and Piergiuseppe Donadoni for formu1a.uno, who informs that the new Ferrari car will be unveiled and then will immediately hit the track – as was done with the F1-75. However, the new Italian car will make its debut at the brand new Imola location.

formu1a.uno also provided more details about the 675 project, which at least on paper, will be a car most cared for by Mattia Binotto but which, paradoxically, will race without him at the head of the Gestione Sportiva. Fred Vasseur, called to replace the Italian-Swiss team principal, will have a difficult task: to improve things without altering a technical balance now achieved in the factory. Will the loss of a very active figure like Mattia Binotto leave a void that could be filled by current Haas technical director Simone Resta?

There would seem to have been no official approach yet because there are some basic questions from Benedetto Vigna. The current technical office would in fact be ‘disturbed’ by an overbearing return of the Italian engineer. Benedetto Vigna feels that such a move may weaken the position of Enrico Cardile, who has done very well in recent years. For this reason, in the most important rooms of Maranello there would be a lot of discussion about this possible move, in order not to repeat certain mistakes of the past.

The F1-75 as well as the SF70H were the cars conceived under the responsibility of Sanchez and Cardile – as well as of course Mattia Binotto – and they were thought out very well, with innovative ideas, which were also taken up by other teams. On the other hand, Simone Resta has knowledge that would undoubtedly enrich the technical office, especially in terms of vision on aerodynamic efficiency. It is clear that the 675 has already been designed and the fundamental choices have certainly been made on this aspect. So today it is more probable that Fred Vasseur will make decisions with long-term impact, not for the immediate future.

La ansiada presentación del equipo más exitoso en la historia de la Fórmula 1 , Ferrari, se realizó este martes 14 de febrero con la presencia de Charles Leclerc y Carlos Sainz como pilotos oficiales, pero con un cambio importante en el organigrama; la salida de Mattia Binotto.

Ferrari reveló hace una semana el nombre de su nuevo monoplaza que será conocido como SF-23, con lo cual la casa italiana vuelve así al formato de nomenclatura utilizado durante toda la era híbrida de la Fórmula 1, desde el SF15-T de 2015, con la excepción del F1-75 de la temporada pasada.

El SF-23 es el octavo coche del equipo que se designa SF, en referencia a Scuderia Ferrari, y la cuarta vez que también hace referencia al año en curso. En 2017 y 2018, los SF70H y SF71H celebraron los años desde la fundación de la compañía Ferrari y en 2019, el SF90 reflejó los años desde la fundación de la Scuderia. El coche de 2020 se llamó SF1000, ya que la escudería celebraba esa temporada su participación número 1000 en la Fórmula 1.

La presentación de Ferrari tuvo lugar en Maranello y la escuadra espera que el coche sea más competitivo respecto a su antecesor. Mientras que la casa italiana luchó por el campeonato en la primera parte de la temporada con Charles Leclerc , pronto su rendimiento cayo y cedió el cetro a Max Verstappen .

French citizen arrested in moscow on charges of collecting military data.

MOSCOW – Russia's top state criminal investigation agency on Thursday announced the arrest of a French citizen accused of collecting information on military issues, a move that comes as relations between Russia and France have grown increasingly tense over the fighting in Ukraine.

The arrest was announced just as France hosted world leaders on the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Thursday. Russia wasn’t invited.

Russia's Investigative Committee said the suspect, whom it didn't identify, is accused of failing to register with authorities as a foreign agent while collecting “information about military and military-technical activities of the Russian Federation.” It added that the information could be used to the detriment of the country's security.

Russia's state news agency Tass identified the arrested French citizen as Laurent Vinatier, an employee of the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD), a Geneva-based nongovernment organization.

HD confirmed Vinatier's detention in a statement released to The Associated Press.

“We are aware that Laurent Vinatier, an adviser at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD), has been detained in Russia,” it said. “We are working to get more details of the circumstances and to secure Laurent’s release.”

French President Emmanuel Macron told French television Thursday night that the French citizen was “in no way...working for France" and that he "works for a Swiss NGO founded by former UN chief Kofi Annan and which carries out diplomacy of working discussions.″

He is receiving consular protection, Macron said.

Vinatier's LinkedIn page, which describes him as a “conversationalist,” says he has worked for the center for over a decade and indicates that he has had a focus mostly on former Soviet republics, Turkey and the Middle East over the years.

Russia's Investigative Committee posted a video showing officers detaining the suspect at a cafe and driving him to the committee's Moscow offices for interrogation. The charges carry a penalty of up to five years in prison.

The arrest comes during a strain in Russian-French ties that followed French President Emmanuel Macron's statements about the possibility of deploying the country's troops in Ukraine .

Moscow has warned that French soldiers would be legitimate targets for Russia if they are sent to Ukraine.

The charges against the French citizen are based on a recently approved law that requires anyone who collects information on military issues to register with authorities as a foreign agent.

Human rights activists have criticized the law and other newly endorsed legislation as part of a multi-pronged Kremlin crackdown on independent media and political activists intended to muzzle criticism of its actions in Ukraine.

Arrests on charges of spying and collecting sensitive data have become increasingly frequent in Russia since it sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022.

Recent high-profile arrests include Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, who was arrested on espionage charges in March 2023, and U.S.-Russian journalist Alsu Kurmasheva, who was taken into custody in October 2023 for failing to register as a “foreign agent.”

From its very first moments, “ Antidote ” unspools like a propulsive thriller. An off-camera voice asks Bulgarian investigative journalist Christo Grozev, “Did you ever think you’d be investigating an assassination plot against yourself?” From that startling introduction, director James Jones ’ galvanizing documentary moves at a fast speed to tell its high-stakes story about Vladimir Putin’s Russia, contemporary investigative journalism and the people who put their lives in jeopardy for what they believe in.

In fact, this family angle becomes an integral part of “Antidote.” Not only do we follow the Kara-Murzas, but we see the impact this work takes on Gorzev’s family too. His son appears on-camera, his daughter is heard on the phone and the mystery surrounding his father’s disappearance connects the personal to the professional in tangible ways. Loss, separation and dread fuel the anxieties of these people at all times. What the film smartly uncovers is why they continue to do what they do.

While Grozev makes for a compelling subject, the film needed more flashy counterpoints to match the adrenaline rush these journalists describe. Enter Russian journalist Roman Dobrokhotov, a colleague of Grozev’s. With his leather jacket, Dobrokhotov comes across as self-assured bordering on arrogant, mincing no words talking about Putin’s goals. He’s complemented by another journalist talking head, Fidelius Schmid, who has a reassuring influence on the surroundings. The three are distinct enough from each other, showing why different personalities are intrigued by this line of work. 

Any film about this topic taking place at this time must include the story of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, the subject of the 2022 Oscar-winning documentary “Navalny.” Grozev actually appeared in that movie, and Navalny is mentioned briefly here. However, what distinguishes “Antidote” is that it keeps the focus firmly on the journalists and their work. In doing so, it avoids the murky waters of trying to explain the politics of its subjects. This is not a film about what politicians stand for or why they oppose their governments, but rather a story about how a team of journalists uncovers a conspiracy and the impact it has on their lives and the lives of the people they are writing about. 

In addition to the interviews and the real time documentation of how some of these events unfolded, Jones adds animation and newscast footage. He follows Grozev as he tries to reconcile his work with family obligations. All of this makes for an entertaining watch with emotional gravitas. While “Antidote” might appear to be a straightforward David vs. Goliath story, in choosing to concentrate on the arduous work of how the truth gets uncovered, the filmmakers end up making a rousing, feature-length call to action.
