There is a legend about this beautiful winged snow leopard depicted on the Tatarstan republic coat of arms . The legend says that a snow leopard found an orphan and saved him from enemies. It looks like the same way as a she-wolf raised the founders of Rome - Romulus and Remus.

The Essays (French: Essais, pronounced) of Michel de Montaigne are contained in three books and 107 chapters of varying length. They were originally written in Middle French and published in the Kingdom of France.Montaigne's stated design in writing, publishing and revising the Essays over the period from approximately 1570 to 1592 was to record "some traits of my character and of my humours."

Before reading Montaigne's Essays, I completed reading an extraordinary biography of Montaigne by Sarah Bakewell. The title is "How To Live." For a biography, it has an unusual organization. There are twenty chapters and each chapter presents a different answer to the question "How to live." Along the way Montaigne's life story is presented.
It reads as very down-to-earth; very conversational. He is very good at adding a human touch to matters great and small. You will get an extra " something " out of the essays if you have a certain amount of kinship with Montaigne, if you share some of his views; he puts so many forth that you will no doubt find that you share something in common.

Tatarstan Deems Manuscripts Of 'Catacomb' Islamic Sect Leader Extremist K AZAN, Russia -- A court in Kazan, the capital of Russia's republic of Tatarstan, have designated as extremist the manuscripts of the leader of an underground Islamic sect. The court ruled on August 22 that the writings of Faizrakhman Sattarov "incite interreligious hatred and contradict traditional Islamic teachings."
