Stage 1 exam consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams, and Stage 2 exam consists of Paper 3 exam. • Stage 2 (Paper 3): Candidates who declared qualified in the CSIR Stage 1 examination will be eligible to appear for the Stage 2, Paper 3 examination. Paper 3 exam which will be held descriptive type.
• Stage 3 ( Interview Exam for Section Officer Posts): Based on aggregate marks in papers 1, 2, and 3 candidates will be called to appear for the Interview exam. The interview exam will carry a total of 100 marks.
• Stage 3 (Computer Proficiency Test for Assistant Section Officer Posts): The 3 stage of examination for Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Posts is the Computer Proficiency Test which is qualifying in nature and will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.
