SUK Admission 2024 is offered for BTech, BCom, B.Ed, B.Lib.Sc, B.Sc, and BA at the UG level and MBA, M.Sc, MCA, MCom, MA, MTech, and MPhil at the postgraduate level. It offers admission to various research, diploma, and certificate courses, including PhD. Admission to all the courses at SUK is an entrance examination and merit-based.

• Admission to popular courses such as BTech, MBA and MTech is based on MHTCET, MAH-CET and GATE.
• Students clearing the cutoff must apply at the State CET Cell website for seat allocation and counselling.
• For other courses, candidates must take the entrance tests organized by Shivaji University to be selected.
• Students applying for admission in BEd, BA, MCA, MA, MSc, and PhD must register at SKU Admission and pay the application fee of INR 600 per program.
• Admission in courses such as LLM, M.Lib.Sc and MEd, individuals must pay the application fee of INR 300. 

SUK also offers UG and PG distance courses via SUK Distance Education (Shivaji University DDE). SUK BTech Admission 2024

SUK offers admission to BTech for a duration of four years. Candidates seeking admission in BTech must complete 10+2 in PCM with an aggregate of 50% marks. The university offers six specializations under the B.Tech course. Candidates are selected based on the MHT CET score for state quota seats and the JEE Main score for all-India quota seats.

SUK UG Admission 2024

SUK also offers admission in various other undergraduate courses such as B.Ed, B.Lib.Sc, B.Sc, and BA. For admission to B.Lib.Sc, B.Sc, and BA, students need to pass the entrance examination conducted by the university. The application fee for the BEd form is INR 100.  The relevant documents have to be attached in the proper order and submitted at the same time when paying the application fee. SUK offers MBA, M.Sc, MCA, MCom, MArch and MA programs at the postgraduate level. Admission to MCA, MCom and MArch is based on merit in MAH MCA CET, MAH MCom CET and MAH MArch CET scores, followed by state level counselling. For courses such as MA, MSc and MPA, admission is based on the Shivaji University Entrance Examination scores, followed by interviews. SUK PG Selection Criteria 2024

• Admission to MCA, MCom and MArch will be based on MAH MCA CET, MAH MCom CET and MAH MArch CET
• For admission to other PG courses such as MA, MSc and MPA, individuals must clear the merit list of the entrance examination conducted by SUK. 
• Candidate should not be above 28 years of age at the time of admission.

SUK MPhil and PhD Admission 2024

SUK offers admission to 27 specializations under the M.Phil and 32 specializations under the PhD. The entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200. It is to be submitted in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of the Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The detailed information about the MPhil and PhD at SUK is tabulated below:

• Candidates must have completed a Masters degree from a recognized university.
• They must have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate in Masters for admission.

• Admission to MPhil and PhD at SUK will be based on the entrance test conducted by Shivaji University, followed by a personal interview.
• Candidates who have taken the UGC-CSIR-NET, SLET, SET, GATE, PGDTE, BET, or GPAT are exempt from the entrance examination.
• The entrance examination is conducted both online and offline.
• The duration of the examination is two hours.

How to apply for SUK Admission 2024?

To apply for SUK Admission 2024, an individual needs to follow the required steps:

• Go to the official website:  https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ .
• Click on the admission tab on the top right corner of the page.
• Read the instructions carefully before filling out the application form.
• The application form must be completed online on the university's official website.
• Fill in the required personal and educational details.
• Next, upload the required educational documents.
• While filling out the form, you will have to upload a recent photograph taken against a white background. 
• The photograph should have a size between 20 Kb and 50 Kb.
• After submitting all the requisite information, pay the counseling fees online.
• State CET Cell is responsible for conducting admission, seat allocation and counselling in Maharashtra.
• After successful registration, candidates will be called to verify documents at the Facilitation Centre.

Ques. What are the courses offered at SUK?

Ans.  SUK offers BTech, BCom, B.Ed, B.Lib.Sc, B.Sc, and B.A. at the U.G. level and MBA, M.Sc, MCA, MCom, MA, MTech, and MPhil at the postgraduate level. It also offers admission to MPhil and PhD programs.

Ques. What is the duration of the MPhil and PhD at SUK?

Ans.  The M.Phil course offered at SUK will have a minimum duration of one year and a maximum duration of two years. The PhD course will have a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum duration of six years.

Ques. Which entrance test scores are accepted for admission at SUK?

Ans . SUK conducts its own entrance examination for admitting students to courses B.Lib.Sc, B.Sc, BA, M.Sc, MCA, MCom, and M.A. However, for B.Tech, candidates have to take the MHT CET; for M.Tech, they have to take the GATE; and for MBA, they have to take the MAH-CET.

Ques. Is there any seat quota reservation at SUK for students applying for PhD and M.Phill?

Ans.  As per SUK norms, 90% of seats are available for home university students, and 10% of seats are available for other university students.

Ques. What are the qualifying marks for admission to MTech at SUK​ through the entrance examination?

Ans.  The entrance examination for admission to MTech at SUK is 90 minutes. Candidates have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the exam. The questions are all MCQs, each carrying one mark. There was no negative marking on the examination. The examination is conducted online.

Ques. Can a student pursue an additional degree with a B.Sc. from SUK?

Ans.  As per Shivaji University, two regular degree programs are not allowed at the same time. However, a student can pursue two programs simultaneously through distance mode or a combination of distance and regular modes from the same or different Universities / Institutions in various combinations like : 

• One degree and one Diploma / P.G. Diploma / Certificate course
• One Post Graduate Diploma and One Diploma / Certificate course

Ans.  SUK offers a BTech degree at a total fee of INR 84,465 for the first year. For admission, an individual needs to clear the MHT CET examination, followed by counselling.

Ans.  Candidates must have completed a BPA with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university to be eligible for admission to the MPA course at SUK.

Ans.  Yes, SUK offers a distance learning program for several courses at the U.G. and P.G. levels. Some of the courses are B.A, B.Com, M.A, M.Com, MBA, and M.Sc. For admission to the B.A. distance program, the candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the 10+2 examination.

• The library provides books from courses as well of competitive exams like MPSC nad UPSC etc.
• The college has a proper study room with a very quite and suitable environment for study
• The boys washrooms are not clean at all and mostly broken and no water supply in the boys washroom
• Outsider students are not asked for ID to enter in the campus and not even any kind of entry is made of outsider students

The main reason i joined this college was because of the fantastic and well-known Chemistry department of the college that provides studies upto MSc in Chemistry amd 2 nd reason was the sport facility of the College which has its own gym.in sangli the only college with its own gym

• The College is located in the heart of the city and is accessible by all modes of transport.
• The College is also located close to the District Court and other courts such as the Consumer Court and Family Court
• The campus area of the college is small and doesn't offer much.
• There are almost no cultural activities in the college.

The admission process for the college is through the Common Entrance Exam held by the Maharashtra Government. It is also known as the MH LAW CET. The cutoff for the exam which is of 150 marks is about 80-90 marks. The final scrutiny is done at the college level. The admission process is a bit complicated.

• Teachers who are experienced teach well.The newly recruited teachers lack the sense of teaching and the sub branches of courses have these new teachers mainly.
• Campus life is not too exagurated nor too complexed, Students can't stand and relax within.
• Bus service is too bad, Mainly during the exam time, if a single student resides a bit far from other relevant stops,the driver will not pick you from your stop,instead you should travel to other stops of bus.
• Even after complaining to upper authorities, they don't take any actions on bus department.

• Well appreciating points for our college are many for example the helping and supporting mature of our faculty members and other staffs our best working placement cell and training and placement Operations
• Our faculties and career guidance centre and even the placement cell provide support for both kind of students one who is looking for campus jobs and placements and other who is looking for his higher studies or government exam preparations
• College exterior campus has turned old now and outdated. Ground of our college isn't so nice.
• Library of our college doesn't seems like library at all.

Addmission process in our college has been conducted through a central addmission process via CET choosing KIT over other colleges because KIT is currently the best college in south western Maharashtra region with a good environment of climate as well as studies with good natural people. Even though there were very positive events for my interest, KIT holds the best possible records for mechanical engineering, which made me choose KIT. Actually, the cut-off for mechanical engineering over here was high as compared to other colleges though the seat vacancies were much over here. Due to this even after 3 rounds, I didn't get KIT for mechanical hence I decided I would go through management, and without paying any extra donations I got mechanical over here by only paying full fees of the general category.

The PhD can take three to six years to complete. The time limit can differ as per the institute, hence the candidate should inquire about it with the desired university before applying.

A master’s degree or M.phill from any recognised Indian university in the relevant field is required for admission to the PhD programme. To be eligible for admission, you must have at least 55% of the marks or corresponding grades.

If you are pursuing a self-funded PhD or have professional experience in the industry, you can apply with lower grades.

Not all bachelor’s students are eligible for a PhD, but according to the new UGC guidelines, students who obtain a four-year degree in UG can apply for admission to PhD programmes in their desired fields.

Development of a Question Prompt List for Patients Living With HIV and Assessment of Their Information Needs

A question prompt list (QPL) is an efficient method to facilitate patient active participation and communication by providing patients with questions to ask their health care providers. We developed a QPL based on the information needs of patients living with HIV in Korea. A mixed method study design was used, involving five sequential steps: literature review, focus group interview with experienced nurses, in-depth interviews with patients, expert reviews, and a survey of 170 patients. A QPL with 27 questions was developed through literature reviews and expert reviews, and 12 questions were identified based on the Borich needs assessment model. Questions included items regarding diagnosis and prognosis, medication, depressive symptoms, sexual relationships, and family and social life. Our findings suggest that a QPL should be used as a tool to encourage effective communication for patients living with HIV.
