Eligibility
- A full-time bachelor's degree.
- A full-time master's degree with at least 55% marks.
- The cut-off for SC/ST and OBCs is 50%.
- University/College mandated or national-level entrance examination.
- For a part-time Ph.D., a NOC (No Objection Certificate) is obtained from the educational institute or organization of employment.
- Some colleges/universities require relevant job experience.

The PhD can take three to six years to complete. The time limit can differ as per the institute, hence the candidate should inquire about it with the desired university before applying.
A master’s degree or M.phill from any recognised Indian university in the relevant field is required for admission to the PhD programme. To be eligible for admission, you must have at least 55% of the marks or corresponding grades.
If you are pursuing a self-funded PhD or have professional experience in the industry, you can apply with lower grades.
Not all bachelor’s students are eligible for a PhD, but according to the new UGC guidelines, students who obtain a four-year degree in UG can apply for admission to PhD programmes in their desired fields.

Development of a Question Prompt List for Patients Living With HIV and Assessment of Their Information Needs

A question prompt list (QPL) is an efficient method to facilitate patient active participation and communication by providing patients with questions to ask their health care providers. We developed a QPL based on the information needs of patients living with HIV in Korea. A mixed method study design was used, involving five sequential steps: literature review, focus group interview with experienced nurses, in-depth interviews with patients, expert reviews, and a survey of 170 patients. A QPL with 27 questions was developed through literature reviews and expert reviews, and 12 questions were identified based on the Borich needs assessment model. Questions included items regarding diagnosis and prognosis, medication, depressive symptoms, sexual relationships, and family and social life. Our findings suggest that a QPL should be used as a tool to encourage effective communication for patients living with HIV.

The PhD entrance exam application will tentatively be open by July 2023. The exam will be conducted by August/September 2023. The results will be announced by the last week of October 2023 tentatively. Shivaji university PhD program is a 3-year full-time program. The university offers PhD programs in 120 specializations.
SUK Admissions 2024. SUK Admission is open for various courses at UG, PG, Distance Education and PhD level.Admission is based on the merit as well as entrance exams. Applicants seeking admission to PhD and other courses like BEd, B.LibSc, BA, MCA, MA, and MSc are selected based on merit obtained through the entrance test conducted by the university.
Students applying for admission in BEd, BA, MCA, MA, MSc, and PhD must register at SKU Admission and pay the application fee of INR 600 per program. Admission in courses such as LLM, M.Lib.Sc and MEd, individuals must pay the application fee of INR 300. SUK also offers UG and PG distance courses via SUK Distance Education (Shivaji University DDE).
