presentation के समानार्थक शब्द
A presentation conveys information from a speaker to an audience. Presentations are typically demonstrations, introduction, lecture, or speech meant to inform, persuade, inspire, motivate, build goodwill, or present a new idea/product. Presentations usually require preparation, organization, event planning, writing, use of visual aids, dealing with stress, and answering questions. “The key elements of a presentation consists of presenter, audience, message, reaction and method to deliver speech for organizational success in an effective manner.” Presentations are widely used in tertiary work settings such as accountants giving a detailed report of a company's financials or an entrepreneur pitching their venture idea to investors. The term can also be used for a formal or ritualized introduction or offering, as with the presentation of a debutante. Presentations in certain formats are also known as keynote address. Interactive presentations, in which the audience is involved, are also represented more and more frequently. Instead of a monologue, this creates a dialogue between the speaker and the audience. The advantages of an interactive presentation is for example, that it attracts more attention from the audience and that the interaction creates a sense of community.

What is gujarati, history of the indian language gujarati, dialects of the gujarati language, gujarati alphabet, gujarati script, gujarati characteristics, lesson summary.
The Gujarati language is an Indo-Aryan (Indic) language of Gujarati people, found primarily in the furthest western state of Gujarat, India. The Gujarati language is mainly spoken by about 46 million Gujarati people, including in the Gujarat state and places Gujarati people have migrated to. Indo-Aryan languages are spoken by approximately 800 million people globally, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, and share many similar features.
Gujarati derives from Prakrit, which is derived from Sanskrit . While there are some similar features in the Gujarati language to Hindi, it is quite different and distinct. Compared to Hindi, about 45% of the words are like Gujarati, but there are varying grammar, sounds, and words. The difference between the Hindi and the Gujarati languages is like the degree of variation between Spanish and English. The variation between Gujarati and Hindi is due to Hindi being more narrowly influenced by Sanskrit alone, whereas Persian and Arabic influenced Gujarati. Geographically, Gujarat borders Pakistan and is heavily influenced by the surrounding Arab cultures.
The Indian state of Gujarat is the westernmost state of India bordering Pakistan.

The Gujarati language's most prominent influence by far is Sanskrit. The shape of the letters, many sounds, words, and grammatical patterns resemble Sanskrit. The influence of surrounding cultures has impacted the development and history of the Gujarati language. The history of the Gujarati language is broken up into three eras.
Old Period (Apabhramsa)
During 1100-1500 C.E., the Parsi people began to learn Sanskrit (followers of the prophet Zoroaster) and translated religious texts from Sanskrit into Middle Persian. It was often used for literature. Formal grammar began to appear in guides written by Jain monk Hemachandr Acharya, and the language started to resemble what Gujarati resembles today. Until 1450 C.E., Old Gujarati was identical to the language Rajasthani and used the Devanagari alphabet. During this time, Gujarat was controlled by the Muslims, and Persian influence began to increase. At this time, there was already a third neuter gender form integrated into the language.
Gujarati used the Devanagari script (pictured) for several centuries, eventually it developed its distinct alphabet that retained some characteristics of the Devanagari script.
Middle Period
From 1500-1800 Persian and, later, Urdu began to influence the language more. Gujarati further separated from Rajasthani, and new sounds and letters, and different grammatical possessive markers were integrated. By 1592, manuscripts with the modified Gujarati script were being made.
Modern Period
In the post-1800, Gujarati flourished as the alphabet script became more widely used for advertisements, letter writing, bookkeeping, literature, and academic writing. The political leader Mahatma Gandhi composed his notable work "The Story of My Experiment With Truth" in Gujarati, which further helped bolster the status of the language.
There are many dialects and accents of Gujarati, and most experts agree that three distinct forms of Gujarati are spoken today. The different dialects of Gujarati are mutually intelligible to other speakers of Gujarati, but specific phrases and idioms may not crossover.
Hindi Gujarati: Hindi (standard) Gujarati is standard and is the official form taught in schools.
Parsi Gujarati: Parsi Gujarati is heavily influenced by Persian and Urdu languages. It includes many more words and religious terms. The grammar is less predictable and irregular compared to Hindi Gujarati.
Muhammadan Gujarati: Muammadan Gujarati is similar to Parsi Gujarati but has more Islamic influence.
Accents in Gujarati vary depending mainly on the location of where it is spoken. Accents may include different intonation, word order, swearing, and integration of other local languages. For example, Gujarati in South Africa integrates linguistic elements of Afrikaans. Gujarati in Gujarat acquires different accents depending on the speakers' affluence, education level, and location.
Gujarati has 48 letters in total, 34 consonants, and 14 vowels. When compared to Sanskrit, Gujarati has several additional notes that have been added, and some comparable Sanskrit letters have been removed. Phonemes and letters distinct from the Sanskrit alphabet began to emerge and be used during the middle period (1500-1800).
Locally, Gujarati script is known as the bankers, merchants, and traders. The script came about in the 16th century and was commonly used in advertisements by the 18th century. For much of the 18th and 19th centuries, Gujarati was primarily used for letter writing and account keeping, while the standard Devanagari script was used for literature and academics.
The Gujarati script derives from the standard Devanagari script but differs in crucial ways. The horizontal stroke at the top of the Devanagari script is removed in Gujarati. Many letters have also been modified significantly from the Devanagari to be quicker and easier to write.
Gujarati script resembles Sanskrit (Devanagari), but it lacks a horizontal line through the top.
Gujarati writing is an abugida , meaning the alphabet's consonants have a fixed relationship to the vowel, and vowels are secondary to the consonant. Depending on the vowel, it will be written at a specific set location around (above, below, left, or right) the consonant. The consonant and the vowel make a particular sound, but the consonant is more emphasized. Abugida languages are widespread in India (including Hindi) and Southeast Asia.
Khmer language (spoken in Cambodia) is an example of an abugida language. Abugida languages make use of an alphabet, but the ways the vowels and consonants interact are much different from an alphabetic language.
The word order of Gujarati grammar is subject+object+verb. The English sentence "He pet the cat" would become "He the cat pet" in Gujarati. Inflection is the process by which words or phrases are indicated to have tenses; in Gujarati is determined by suffixes at the end of words. Words are divided into two classes, open and closed class. Gujarati's open class of words includes nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives. The closed class contains pronouns, conjunctions, verb adjuncts, and noun adjuncts. Other characteristics of the Gujarati language include:
Eight parts of speech which are the noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, adverb, preposition, conjunction, adverb, and interjections.
Verbs have multiple morphologies (as in English), such as imperative, infinitive, and obligatory.
Verbs stems can be modified by person, tense, place, number, and gender to indicate different ideas.
Pronouns have a neuter form as well as inclusive and exclusive forms.
Both adjectives and adverbs can be variable and non-variable.
Three genders, including male, female, and neuter, are found in various parts of speech.
Two number forms, singular and plural
Three cases, nominative, vocative, and locative
Gujarati is a language spoken in the state west of Gujarat, India. It is an Indo-Aryan language and has its roots in Sanskrit . The Gujarati language is spoken by 46 million people worldwide, most of its speakers reside in Gujarat, India, but pockets of Gujarati speakers are found in Africa, Fiji, the Middle East, Europe, the U.S., Sri Lanka, and the middle east. Linguistically, Gujarati is quite different from Hindi, like the degree of difference between Spanish and English. Persian and Arabic languages heavily influence the Gujarati language as Gujarat borders Pakistan. There are three main dialects of the Gujarati language integrating varying levels of Hindi, Persian, and Urdu, and the differences are mutually intelligible to other Gujarati speakers. Many accents of Gujarati are also prevalent; accents are influenced by location, level of education, and social status.
Gujarati has a district alphabet modified from the Devanagari script (Sanskrit). Most notably, it has dropped the horizontal line across the top of the Devanagari script and added additional letters for phonemes. Linguistically the language is an abugida , where consonants and vowels pair together in patterns to form distinct sounds. Abugida languages differ from alphabet languages in the way consonants and vowels interact. In abugida languages, the consonant is more emphasized than the vowel. The grammar structure of Gujarati is also quite different from Hindi as the impact of the different alphabet ultimately affected words and syntax structure. It has a neutered gender in addition to male and female. The word order of Gujarati is significantly different from English, being subject+object+verb.

What Is Fair Housing?
There are laws to protect people from discrimination in buying, renting and living in their homes.
By Debra Kamin
A federal fair-housing law prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, ethnicity, religion and other factors, like gender identity and disability. That applies to any number of scenarios, in which such discrimination has occurred: a homeowner refusing to negotiate a sale; a landlord failing to make repairs; a mortgage lender denying a loan.
President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Fair Housing Act on April 11, 1968, days after the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. The law, initially focused on racial discrimination, was the linchpin of the broader Civil Rights Act of 1968 and was later expanded to include other factors.
Yet complaints of discrimination remain about everything from prejudiced home appraisals to racial steering. In 2022, there were more than 33,000 fair housing complaints received by organizations across the country.
A three-year investigative project from Newsday , published in 2019, found that Black home buyers experience discrimination with nearly half of the real estate agents and brokers they employ; a multiyear investigation a decade earlier conducted by the National Fair Housing Alliance found that 87 percent of real estate agents participated in racial steering, opting to only show their clients homes in neighborhoods where most of the neighbors were of their same race.
“The way real estate agents engage in housing discrimination has gotten a lot more subtle but it is definitely still existent,” said Lisa Rice, president of the National Fair Housing Alliance. “A lot of real estate agents are very misguided and they’re not pro fair housing in their heart.”
Who is protected under the Fair Housing Act?
The fair-housing law placed a sweeping prohibition on all acts of discrimination related to the home buying and renting process, making prejudicial treatment based on race, religion or national origin a crime. Violators can be fined tens of thousands of dollars, or more. Gender was added as another protected category in 1974.
