Throughout his career, Ricky Steamboat was widely regarded as the wrestler's wrestler. He was often celebrated for his intense work ethic, charisma and incredible physique but he earned his place as an icon on the strength of four legendary bouts--his 1989 three-match series against The Nature Boy over the NWA World Championship, and a Wrestlemania III classic against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Born Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, The Iron Sheik famously defeated Bob Backlund at Madison Square Garden for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship in December of 1983. Sheik lost the title less than a month later to Hulk Hogan, helping to kick-start the company’s immensely successful “Hulkamania” era. In 1985, the iconic grappler teamed with Nikolai Volkoff at the inaugural WrestleMania to win the WWF World Tag Team Championship from The U.S. Express (Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo). He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
