RAKSHA BANDHAN Raksha Bandhan (the bond of protection in Hindi) is a Hindu festival, which celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters.It is celebrated on the full moon of the month of Shraavana.
GANESH CHATRUTHI IT IS CELEBRATED IN GRAND MANNER ALL OVER INDIA. IDOLS ARE PLACED EVERYWHERE AND POOJA IS DONE IN VERY GRAND MANNER. HE IS CONSIDERED TO BE FIRST GOD. .
DURGA POOJA Durga Puja ‘Worship of Durga’, is an annual Bengali festival that celebrates worship of Hindu goddess Durga.
HOLI Holi, also called the Festival of Colours, is a popular Hinduspring festival The main day, Holi, also known as Dhulheti, Dhulandi or Dhulendi, is celebrated by people by throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other
GURU NANAK JAYANTHI Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of the Sikh faith, was born in the month of Kartik (October/November), and his birthday is known as Guru Nanak Jayanti

The most well-known Indian festival. A 5 day celebration which occurs on the 15 th day of the Hindu month of Kartika. This is during October or November.
“DeepaVali” or Diwali is the Indian Festival of lights. ‘Deepa’ means lamp or light and ‘Vali’ means ‘string of’.

- Holi is a festival to remember how the god Vishnu saved Prahlad from the elephants
- Bonfires are built the night before Holi
- People play games and squirt coloured water
- Diwali is the festival of light
- Hindus remember the story of Prince Rama and his wife, Sita
- People light Diva lamps and decorate their houses
