Or perhaps you have a little time to spare to visit a new Catholic community this summer? It is led by my parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham - Catholic Church & Shrine, Houston, Texas, the Rev. Fr. Justin P. Fletcher, and is staffed by other priests including our director of vocations of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, the Rev. Fr. Richard Kramer. According to a friend who has been here, musical offerings include propers led by a cantor and a capella hymns at the 10 AM Sunday Mass and the John Merbecke setting of the ordinary. "Asperges Me" as appropriate (he was there on Corpus Christi Sunday). As I understand it, The Woodlands is considered a rather choice place to live. It is doing quite well - they have already close to two hundred hundred people each week. There is an 8.00am mass without music and a 10.30am sung mass with music as outlined by Blaise. Presentation of the Lord is a mission of Walsingham and was established because we have quite a number of people from The Woodlands who make the close to an hour's drive into Walsingham each week. Blaise is certainly right - The Woodlands, a Houston suburb, is a very affluent place to live. Our mission church is currently meeting at St Anthony's of Padua, a very large parish in The Woodlands. • RMSawicki July 2019 Posts: 126 Oh such good news! If I were not a full-time caretaker to two disabled family members right now, I'd be on a one-way trip to The Woodlands tomorrow. This new Ordinariate development would simply be a "douceur", as the French might say. And yes Blaise, from many standpoints and under many considerations and criteria, The Woodlands is a rather nice place to live. • ghmus7 March 2021 Posts: 1,476 It seems that many good organ companies could come up with a plan to provide a small intrument for your present situation, which then as much as possible to be moved to a new building. This lind of two phase plan might actually be cheaper in the long run that purchasing an electronic now( which you would just throw away or sell) and then pipes later. • liampmcdonough March 2021 Posts: 293 I spoke with John Bishop at Organ Clearing House, as well as several other organ dealers. It would be marvelous to have an five rank organ capable of future expansions, but it is not cheaper. I have been advised that moving, voicing and tuning most any organ of five ranks costs 100,000 whether you move it 10 feet or 10 states. Even the "free" small unit organs from OCH would be this cost. This is compounded by the difficulty of multiple moves, which would double the steep cost of a pipe instrument. Thanked by 2 M. Jackson Osborn CHGiffen

Steve and Becky Greene present together and individually about the Church’s teachings on the Theology of the Body, marriage, family, Natural Family Planning, and pro-life issues. A cradle Catholic, Steve is the Director for the Kino Catechetical Institute for the Diocese of Phoenix, who regularly writes and speaks on true masculinity, fatherhood, and modern philosophical errors. His articles have been featured in Crisis Magazine and The Catechetical Review. Becky, a former agnostic feminist, writes and speaks on her conversion story, authentic femininity, and motherhood. REV. JUSTIN FLETCHER Pastoral Administrator, Presentation Catholic Church

A native of western Oklahoma, Father Justin Fletcher has had a long journey into the Catholic Church. He was raised in the Church of Christ before becoming an Episcopalian in college, after which he served as an Episcopal priest for three years. That ministry provoked in him the need for the full communion of the Church, and he became Catholic in 2016. He studied at Oklahoma Christian University and Duke University, focusing primarily on patristic theology and biblical studies. Before ordination he served as a youth minister at St Michael’s in Cary, NC, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2019. He is incardinated in the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter, and currently serves as the pastoral administrator of Presentation of the Lord Catholic Church in Montgomery, TX.

Grandmother, teacher among 3 killed in Montgomery County crash

A grandmother and teacher at a local Catholic School was among the three people killed in a multi-vehicle crash that also injured two others in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, last week.

The crash occurred Friday, Aug. 23, at 6:35 p.m. in Hatboro.

Police said Joseph Snavely, 31, of Southampton, Pennsylvania, was driving a Chevy Camaro west on County Line Road at a high speed. When the Camaro crossed the railroad grade between Jacksonville Road and Park Avenue, the vehicle went airborne, crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a Nissan SUV being driven by 69-year-old Anne Swoyer of Hatboro, police said.

A Hyundai driven by another 69-year-old woman was also struck in the crash, according to investigators.

Both Swoyer and Snavely were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers of the Camaro were extricated from the vehicle and taken to Jefferson Abington Hospital. One passenger, 31-year-old Gabrielle Sims of Southampton, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second passenger, 23-year-old Adriana Sabo, is listed in critical condition.

What we know about the victims

Swoyer was an honors math teacher at Presentation BVM in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. Loved ones describe her as a caring mother of three and grandmother of nine with a love of horses, reading novels and volunteering with her school and church.

Sims was a mother, nursing assistant and medical technician described as a compassionate woman who loved caring for people as well as animals.

Snavely was described as a kindhearted and adventurous man with a love for his family and friends.
