Ivy League Online PHD/Doctoral Programs

Over time, Online PHD programs have grown in popularity. Since they allow students to get a PHD without having to leave their careers, students are increasingly choosing online doctorate programs. Students who enroll in an online PHD program save a large amount of money compared to on-campus programs by avoiding losing two years' worth of wages. Students can choose to reside in a less expensive place while pursuing their doctorate online, saving money on rent and transportation costs.

A few Ivy League universities do offer such online doctorate programs, which is wonderful news. However, only 2 of the 8 Ivy League institutions offer online PHD programs to graduate students. The two universities where you can get online PHD programs are Yale and the University of Pennsylvania. The Online Doctorate in Clinical Social Work offered by the University of Pennsylvania is a 100% online program that can be finished in just 3 years, while the Online Doctor of Nursing Practice offered by Yale University is a hybrid degree that can be completed online or in person.

This can significantly reduce the price of the degree and aid students in choosing wisely by allowing for flexible learning and upskilling without sacrificing money or time. By obtaining a doctorate from one of these institutions with top-notch funding and teaching faculties, you can grow in your career. The PHD program at Ivy has highly strict admissions standards and a very low acceptance rate. So it's worthwhile to obtain a Doctorate from one of these esteemed US institutions.

What are the advantages of Online PHD programs at Ivy Lague?

A few benefits of participating in online PHD programs are:

  • There is no reason to move. For many people, this is one of the largest advantages. You don't have to move, which would probably interrupt your social life, friendships, relationships, and professional responsibilities, and you may stay where you are, or at least close by, and go about your regular activities.
  • Low tuition costs. The fully-funded online PHD program will eliminate not just the chance of incurring debt but also the requirement to pay expensive tuition fees upfront. There is a good chance that your tuition payments, or at least a portion of them, will be covered if you are given a spot in one of these programs.

Is it better to do an Online PHD or an On-campus PHD?

Acceptance into an online PHD program has many more advantages than disadvantages. With no assurance of employment following graduation, the danger of taking on debt has already been eliminated. Most online degrees take at least 2 years and this process is better not rushed. In the funding phases, scholarships and assistantships are also offered during this time. The online PHD duration will depend on whether one is doing a thesis and what schedule one has to work on their PHD study. Since most students choose to do an online PHD for its flexibility and the fact that one can continue so with their primary earning source. Hence the completion of any form of PHD will come with a certain form of prioritizing the course. However, among the two Ivy League Universities that offer online PHDs, UPenn has a record of an average of 3 years for PHD completion.

Having said that, UPenn has made GRE optional for all of its PHD courses and Yale has canceled the GRE requirement for its PHD courses. This gives one more time to prepare for their CV, essay, and work on gaining their LOR.

The following Ivy League colleges offer Ph.D. programs without GRE prerequisites:

University PHD Programs without GRE requirements Example Programs Harvard University Multiple programs across various departments Biophysics, Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Immunology, Neuroscience, and Organismic and Evolutionary Biology Cornell University Multiple programs across various departments Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Natural Resources, and Plant Biology Brown University Multiple programs across various departments Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry Princeton University Multiple programs across various departments Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Computer Science

How competitive are Ivy League Ph.D. programs that don't require GRE scores?

Ivy League Ph.D. programs are notoriously difficult to get into, regardless of whether GRE scores are required. The Ph.D. programs of the elite Ivy League colleges are among the most prestigious and competitive in the world. While some of these universities' Ph.D. programs may not require the GRE, they often nevertheless have strict admission requirements in terms of academic achievement, research experience, letters of recommendation, and other variables.

However, as applicants who may not have fared as well on the GRE have the chance to highlight other aspects of their application, the competition for admission to Ph.D. programs that do not require GRE results may be a little less fierce.

The admission procedure for any Ph.D. program, whether it be at an Ivy League university or another institution, is extremely tough and calls for a solid application as well as a track record of academic and research distinction.

Will not submitting GRE scores hurt my chances of admission to an Ivy League Ph.D. program?

Depending on the particular program and department, not submitting your GRE results may or may not damage your prospects of admission to an Ivy League Ph.D. program. Other components of your application, such as your research experience, academic record, letters of recommendation, and personal statement, may be given more weight by some departments than your GRE scores, which may be given less weight overall. In these circumstances, withholding your GRE results might not always hurt your prospects of admission.

Although certain departments may not require GRE scores, it's important to keep in mind that some may still view them as a crucial aspect of the application. In these circumstances, failing to submit your GRE results may put you at a disadvantage compared to those who did.

What other factors are considered in the admission process for Ivy League Ph.D. programs that don't require GRE scores?

The particular requirements may differ by program and department, however, there are several elements that go into admission to Ivy League Ph.D. programs that do not require GRE results. However, in general, the following variables may be taken into account throughout the admissions process:

  • Academic Achievement : Academic success is determined by several elements, including undergraduate and graduate study, academic honors, and GPA.
  • Research Experience : Research experience is highly valued by many Ph.D. programs, and they may seek publications, research projects, or presentations at conferences as examples of your capacity for conducting research.
  • LOR : Strong letters of recommendation from professors, research supervisors, or other experts who can attest to your academic prowess, research experience, and potential for success in a Ph.D. program might be crucial to your admittance.
  • Personal statement : In your personal statement, you should discuss your areas of interest in research, relevant work experience, and professional aspirations, as well as how these factors relate to the program and department to which you are applying.
  • Interview : As a requirement for admission, certain Ph.D. programs may conduct interviews to determine your suitability for the program and to give you the chance to learn more about it.

Can I still submit GRE scores if I have taken the test and feel that my scores would strengthen my application?

Depending on their standards, Ivy League universities may still accept GRE scores after you've taken the exam. If your GRE scores are obtained within an acceptable amount of time after the application deadline, several Ivy League universities might still accept your candidature. Others might not even accept late entries.

If you're thinking about sending your GRE results to an Ivy League school after the application deadline, get in touch with the admissions office and ask about their procedures for receiving late applications. They will be able to advise you of the requirements you must meet to submit your scores as well as whether they accept late submissions.

It's important to note that not all Ivy League universities use GRE scores as a factor in their admissions decisions.

For instance, Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management recently decided not to require GRE scores for admission to its MBA program. Harvard Law School also does not require GRE scores. Before determining whether to submit your GRE scores, it is crucial to carefully review each institution's admissions standards.

Are Ivy League Ph.D. programs without GRE requirements more focused on research experience and academic accomplishments?

The GRE may not be required for admission to Ivy League Ph.D. programs, which may give more weight to academic achievement and research experience. These programs send the message that they do not consider the GRE to be a necessary part of the application by not requiring it. They may instead give more weight to other considerations like personal statements, letters of recommendation, research experience, and academic accomplishments.

Since Ph.D. programs are created to prepare students for careers in research and scholarship, research experience is especially crucial. The proof that applicants have participated in research projects, written academic publications, or presented at conferences may be examined by the admissions committee. Additionally, they could take factors like the size of the study project into account.

Ivy League University Ph.D. Program GRE Requirement Emphasis on Research Experience Emphasis on Academic Accomplishments Harvard University Psychology No High High Yale University Ecology and Evolutionary Biology No High High Brown University Computer Science No High High Cornell University English No High High Columbia University Sociology No High High

How do Ivy League Ph.D. programs evaluate applicants without GRE scores?

Many Ivy League Ph.D. programs have temporarily suspended the requirement of submitting GRE scores due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, even before the pandemic, some programs had already begun to de-emphasize or remove the GRE requirement as part of their admissions process.

Instead of GRE scores, these programs typically consider other factors when evaluating applicants. Some of these factors include

  • Undergraduate and graduate transcripts : Admissions committees review an applicant's academic record, paying close attention to their performance in courses relevant to the field of study.
  • Research experience : Strong research experience, such as publications or presentations at conferences, can demonstrate an applicant's ability to contribute to the field of study.
  • Letters of recommendation : Strong letters of recommendation from professors, researchers, or employers who can speak to an applicant's research abilities, academic achievements, and personal characteristics can carry significant weight in the admissions process.
  • Personal statement : The personal statement or statement of purpose is an opportunity for applicants to convey their passion for the field of study, their research interests, and their fit with the program.
  • Other achievements : Admissions committees may also consider an applicant's extracurricular activities, community service, or professional experience as evidence of their potential to succeed in the program.

Are Ivy League Ph.D. programs without GRE requirements more likely to accept international students?

International applicants to Ivy League Ph.D. programs do not generally have a higher acceptance rate than domestic applicants. A holistic evaluation of an applicant's qualifications, including their academic history, research experience, letters of recommendation, and personal statement, is often used to make admissions decisions. Both domestic and foreign applicants are given the same weight when evaluating these variables.

International applicants, however, might experience extra difficulties like language competency, securing visas, and satisfying financial requirements. It is also important to keep in mind that some Ph.D. programs at Ivy League universities may have particular efforts or programs designed to attract and support students from abroad. To help overseas students thrive in the program, these programs could offer extra resources like funding opportunities, mentoring, and language assistance.

How important are recommendation letters in the admission process for Ivy League Ph.D. programs that don't require GRE scores?

Even though Ivy League Ph.D. programs do not require GRE scores, recommendation letters are a crucial part of the admissions process. These letters give admissions committees information on an applicant's academic accomplishments, research experience, and likelihood of succeeding in the program.

Strong letters of reference should be written by people who can attest to an applicant's academic prowess, research experience, and character traits. Professors, research advisors, and managers from prior employers or internships are examples of this. Selecting recommenders who have worked closely with the applicant and are able to give concrete examples of their accomplishments and potential is crucial. Program-specific requirements for recommendation letters can change, although most Ivy League Ph.D. programs demand at least three letters.

Are there any disadvantages to applying to Ivy League Ph.D. programs without submitting GRE scores?

While there may be certain benefits to applying to Ph.D. programs at Ivy League universities without providing GRE scores, there may also be some drawbacks that candidates should take into account before determining whether to provide their scores. There aren't any significant drawbacks to withholding your GRE results. In actuality, most Ivy League no longer use the GRE as a criterion for admission. As a result, the admissions process may give more weight to other application materials including transcripts, research experience, and recommendation letters.

Another drawback is that applicants with high GRE scores might lose the chance to highlight their academic aptitude and ability. Despite the fact that the program does not require them, these ratings might aid to enhance their application.

Additionally, eligibility for some external fellowship programs or funding opportunities may depend on GRE results. An applicant may not be qualified for certain financing possibilities if they do not have GRE results, which could affect their capacity to pay for their education.

Applicants should thoroughly examine the prerequisites and preferences of each program to which they are applying because the particular elements taken into account in the admissions process may differ per program. In the end, deciding whether to submit GRE scores is a personal choice that should be taken after carefully weighing the applicant's credentials and the particular needs of each program.

Online Degrees at Ivy League Schools

Do any Ivy League schools offer online degrees? Yes, and the number of online degrees that you can earn at the Ivy League level continues to grow. However, there are some limitations, especially where online bachelor’s degrees are concerned. We explore both the opportunities and limitations.

Online college is growing in popularity. Even more importantly though, online college is growing in credibility. For proof, look no further than the Ivy League. As the nation’s most selective colleges and universities open up to the concept of online courses and online degrees, even the Ivy Leagues are taking the virtual plunge. Most Ivy League universities offer some online courses. And if you’re up for the challenge, some of these vaunted universities offer access to fully online master’s degrees. In fact, you could earn an Ivy League MBA or an Ivy League MSW entirely online. Up until this point however, it has not been possible to earn an Ivy League bachelor’s degree online. That’s about to change.

The Best Ivy League Online Schools

1. Brown University

2. Columbia University

3. Cornell University

4. Dartmouth College

5. Harvard University

6. Princeton University

7. University of Pennsylvania

8. Yale University

Opportunities to earn online credits and even full degrees from the most selective schools in the country continue to grow. Of course, this doesn’t mean that we can all suddenly qualify for a Harvard education. However, it does mean that more academically qualified students than ever before — especially working adults and non-traditional students — could have a chance to experience Ivy League courses, engage Ivy League classmates and professors, and even earn Ivy League online degrees.

The Ivy League is the nation’s most exclusive club of universities. The eight schools comprising the Ivy League — Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale — are among the oldest and most well-regarded universities in the U.S. While each of these eight schools has its own identity, culture, and areas of specialization, they do share a storied educational tradition.

This suggests that any steps the Ivies take toward standardizing online education are also steps that online education takes toward greater credibility. In other words, if online college is good enough for the Ivy Leagues, it should be good enough for pretty much anybody.

That said, these eight great universities have adopted online courses and degree programs with caution. Over its first 20 years of evolution, online education has crept slowly into the Ivy League, largely in the form of blended learning — offering students access to some online courses alongside traditional on-campus programs. Some of these universities have also created highly accessible pathways to Ivy League instruction — if not actual colleges credits — through Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).

And if you’re interested in earning a degree entirely online, you do have a few Ivy League options…that is, as long as you’re a graduate student. As a grad student, you may be eligible to earn a full online degree from an Ivy League university. Of course, it’s still the Ivy Leagues, so you’ll have to be an excellent candidate. But if you are, you may be able to find an Ivy League master’s online program that matches your discipline. As for ambitious undergraduates who intend to earn a fully online bachelor’s degree, you must look beyond the Ivy League, at least for now.

But stay tuned, because one Ivy League university is venturing into the unchartered waters of online undergraduate degree granting, and perhaps taking a boatload of excellent but underserved students with it.

On the Whole, I’d Rather Be in Philadelphia

Since the Fall semester of 2019, students have earned bachelor degrees from the University of Pennsylvania without setting foot in the City of Brotherly Love. In September of 2018, University of Pennsylvania announced that it would become the very first Ivy League university to offer a fully online bachelor’s degree program.

But it’s not just any bachelor’s degree. The Penn LPS Online Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) is a liberal arts program tailor-made for working adults and other non-traditional learners who are drawn to the convenience and flexibility of an online education. The program focuses on career enhancement and offers students a curriculum that integrates professional and academic coursework.

The new program at UPenn marks a big leap forward, and not just because it represents a new level of confidence in the value of an undergraduate degree earned fully online. Perhaps even more consequential are the demographics this new program invites to the Ivy League table.

Non-traditional Students Climb the Ivies

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) projects that growth in the number of non-traditional students attending college will soon outpace growth in the number of traditional-age students enrolling for the first time. According to the NCES, “The enrollment of students under age 25 increased by 22 percent from 2003 to 2013, while the enrollment of those age 25 and over increased by 19 percent. From 2013 to 2024, however, NCES projects the increase for students under age 25 to be 13 percent, compared with 14 percent for students age 25 and over.”

The folks over there in the Ivy Leagues are pretty smart, so they understand exactly what this means. It means that working adults and non-traditional students are coming to represent an increasingly important segment of the college student population. And this segment comes with its own unique set of needs. UPenn is the first of the Ivies to address their needs directly.

The Chronicle of Higher Education suggests that UPenn’s new program may be the beginning of important trend. It is not simply its popularity that has drawn more prominent and well-regarded institutions to explore online college. There is also a growing awareness of the needs presented by working adults and other non-traditional students. These demographics make up a significant portion of the growth we’ve witnessed in online college enrollment over the last decade.

This makes sense. In many ways, these same demographics have long been underserved by undergraduate programs, who focus their outreach, awareness campaigns, and recruitment efforts on high-school aged applicants. The University of Pennsylvania may be leading the way in what promises to be a broader effort by the nation’s most highly-regarded schools to better accommodate adult and non-traditional college learners. As the UPenn program has recognized, online degree programs address many of the challenges uniquely faced by this population, including work, family needs, and a practical aversion to relocation.

While an Ivy League education isn’t for everybody, it does represent recognition at the very top of the academic pyramid for the underserved adult learning populations. If you count yourself among them, check out these features:

While the promise behind UPenn’s innovative new program gives us much hope for the future of non-traditional learners in the Ivy League, it doesn’t exactly help you right now. So what online courses can you take at the Ivy League level? And what online degrees can you earn from Ivy League schools?

Related Programs That Might Interest You

I’m glad you asked. Here’s what we’ve come up with:

Blended Undergraduate Degrees from Ivy League Schools

Though you can’t yet get a fully online bachelor’s degree at an Ivy League university, most of these schools do provide some number of online courses for credits. In most cases, this is done under a blended model of learning, one in which on-campus students are able to access one or more of their courses online.

Of course, this means that you must be in proximity of campus to attend some or most of your classes in person. And there are also unique limitations to each set of blended learning opportunities at the Ivy League level. Some schools offer access to just a few online undergraduate courses alongside a traditional undergraduate degree program. Others may only offer blended opportunities for graduate degree programs.

For instance, Brown University offers students an array of online undergraduate courses as part of a broader degree program which includes on-campus courses as well. The Brown University blended program describes a set of online courses that are closely connected with the on-campus experience. Classes are taught on a synchronous schedule, using real-time online instruction. Likewise, the online school calendar direclty mirrors the on-campus semester breakdown.

By contrast, some Ivy League universities offer blended learning in only the most limited sense. For instance, at Yale, traditional students who are interested in summer courses can balance their year-long on-campus workload with a summer of online courses. The Yale Summer Session gives students who are already enrolled at Yale a chance to continue earning credits wherever they spend the summer.

Online Graduate Degrees and Professional Certifications from Ivy League Schools

While Ivy League schools have been slow to develop online bachelor’s degree programs, many have already embraced online graduate degree programs and a host of related certification and certificate programs. In most instances, these programs are driven by the goal of professional development, and offer participants a chance to enhance existing credentials.

Columbia Online offers a good example of this type of online programming. The New York-Based university offers a range of different graduate level online educational experiences, leading to an array of different credentials. “Currently,” says the Columbia Online website, “students are able to enroll into a variety of online programs which ranges from technical, social work, health technologies, environmental sustainability, and leadership to a variety of other professional development programs. Explore our current online degree programs, hybrid master’s degree programs, and non-degree certification professional development programs in the following schools at Columbia University.”

It is noteworthy that Columbia University is the only Ivy League school to offer an online Master of Social Work degree.

Also noteworthy, you can actually earn an Ivy League MBA fully online at the Dartmouth Tuck School of Business .

Then there’s Harvard , which offers a partially-online Graduate Degree. Harvard’s blended approach to a master’s degree gives students a chance to “balance online study with a Harvard campus experience” and “be immersed in a rich academic community and have access to extensive resources.”

MOOCs from Ivy League Schools

If an online Ivy League education seems a bit out of your price range, there is one more option. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are free, online courses that offer access to instruction and education in a wide range of subjects. Though you won’t get any college credits or advance toward a degree, there are hundreds of MOOCs featuring Ivy League instructors and course content. In most cases, you can attend or access a MOOC for free. Some schools may charge you a modest fee for an optional certificate of completion.

MOOCs are a good option if you’re in it for the love of learning, or because there’s a specific subject that could advance your professional value, or simply because you’ll enjoy the bragging rights of telling people you studied Linear Regression at Harvard .

That’s not all. Harvard offers a whole bunch of free online classes through its HarvardX catalogue of MOOCs. Harvard calls these free classes a University-wide strategic initiative “to enable faculty to build and create open online learning experiences for residential and online use, and to enable groundbreaking research in online pedagogies.”

Princeton Online adheres to a similar mission, providing a channel for “faculty members who would like to expand the scope and impact of their teaching by offering their course to a world audience”

Most Ivy League universities offers a selection of these free and highly accessible online courses. If your priority is lifelong learning at the very highest levels of American academia, you can probably see the value in free courses from schools like Harvard and Princeton. More than that, you can also see the value proposition of online education as a means to creating top-tier eduational access for a whole new population of learners.

Do Any Ivy League Schools Have Online Degrees?

Do-Any-Ivy-League-Schools-Have-Online-Degrees

The Ivies are world-renowned for the quality of their on-campus experience. They have top-notch faculty, elegant living spaces, and a level of prestige that ensures a promising career for graduates. However, they have been slow to jump on the digital education bandwagon. Some of the Ivies have no online degree programs. Others have a few, but nothing like the hundreds of degrees available from institutions such as the University of Southern New Hampshire, which has more than 200 degree offerings. Many Ivy League institutions also focus more on massive open online courses (MOOCs) instead of full online degree programs.

However, that’s starting to change as administrators at the Ivy League Schools, spurred on by the need to implement digital education during the pandemic, realize that online degrees can be developed that offer the same level of rigor as on-campus classes. Keep reading to discover how online degree programs and MOOCs work at Ivy League colleges and which schools offer the most.

Online Degree Programs vs. Massive Open Online Courses

It’s essential to distinguish between two types of online learning: online degree programs and massive open online courses , commonly called MOOCs. Both platforms feature college-level material. Both can potentially lead to a degree or certificate. But the similarities stop there.

Online degree programs

Traditional online degree programs include interacting extensively with professors via email, online office hours, or some other mechanism. You pay a fee for these courses, and the educational experience is just as rigorous as it would be if you were in a class. Usually, there is a cap on the number of students attending the course. Classes may be held either synchronously or asynchronously.

Massive open online courses

Conversely, MOOCs are often free or low-cost, although you may pay for a certificate. They include pre-recorded lectures delivered by a faculty member, but there is less opportunity to engage directly with the professors. They are generally asynchronous and may be taken by thousands of students simultaneously. Those interested in lifelong learning often enroll, while traditional online degree programs are taken by motivated students intent on furthering their careers.

While many Ivy League schools have MOOCs, they don’t always host themselves. Instead, they often partner with delivery platforms like edX. This can change the level of access you have to university faculty and resources and means the college itself may not actually award your certificate.

Are Hybrid Programs a Good Option?

A hybrid program may be a good alternative if you want to pursue an Ivy League program and can’t find a fully online degree. These are much more common in the Ivy League than fully online degrees. In a hybrid program, most of your coursework is completed online either asynchronously or synchronously. Then, you come to the campus for a few weeks to take a final exam, present a project, or participate in a hands-on activity. Hybrid programs can have the best of both worlds, offering the convenience of an online degree while giving you some face time with faculty and other students.

Which Ivy League Schools Offer Online Degree Programs?

Although Ivy League schools have been slow to adopt online education, there are examples of schools that do, including the following.

Harvard University

Harvard offers a variety of online classes as well as a range of MOOCs. The university’s digital degree program is an online master’s in education leadership. MOOCs include courses such as a 6-Week Plan for Healthy Eating. There are 140+ online certificate courses, such as an Outsmarting Implicit Bias course. The certificates for these courses have a cost attached, but the course can be audited for free. Courses are taken through the external edX platform.

Yale University

Yale offers three degree-bearing programs: an executive master of public health, a physician assistant program, and a doctorate in nursing practice. There are also hybrid degree programs, such as a master’s in nursing psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner program, which features online coursework and three mandatory in-person immersion sessions. Through Coursera, Yale also has a range of MOOCs. Their offerings in business and law are particularly extensive, but many feature health, the humanities, history, and more.

Princeton University

Princeton does not offer any degree-granting programs online, but it does have about two dozen MOOCs. These are taught by Princeton professors and are available at no cost. Most are asynchronous, but a few are synchronous and feature course assignments such as written papers or testing. These courses include Food Ethics, Civil Liberties, and Effective Altruism. MOOCs are hosted on Coursera, edX, and Kadenze.

Columbia University

Columbia has offerings at numerous levels: certificate, degree, and non-degree, and in both hybrid and online formats. Degree programs include master’s degrees in social work, biomedical engineering, and statistics. Professional development includes leadership, marketing, negotiation, and decision-making courses. Columbia’s MOOCs can be found on Coursera, edX, and Kadenze. On Coursera, for example, the university has more than 3,000 courses. One example is a Construction Project Management and Planning specialization that includes four courses intended for engineers, architects, and construction industry professionals.

University of Pennsylvania

UPenn offers more degree-bearing programs than most Ivy League institutions, along with programs for certificates, continuing education, and micro-credentials. The primary online degree offered is a bachelor’s degree in applied arts and sciences. Concentrations for this program include Creative Studies, Leadership and Communication, and Data Analytics, among others. The school partners with Coursera to provide MOOCs, which include Introduction to Financial Accounting, Robotics Specialization, and Improving Communication Skills.

Brown University

Brown University offers fully online and hybrid programs. Online offerings include master’s programs in cybersecurity and public health. Low-residency hybrid programs include master’s programs in technology leadership and healthcare leadership. A series of executive education courses are available for those in the business world, and a well-regarded pre-college program features asynchronous online and blended coursework for students to explore the college experience. Brown’s MOOC offerings are via the edX platform.

Cornell University

Cornell’s online programs include executive master’s programs in health administration, human resource management, hospitality, and public administration. They also have master’s degrees in business analytics and legal studies. Some of these programs require limited on-campus time. The university has 240+ programs for professional development through its eCornell platform , with courses in topics such as web design, data science, and business ethics. Cornell also offers MOOCs through edX and Coursera.

Dartmouth College

Dartmouth has two degree-bearing programs that are primarily online: a Master of Health Care Delivery Science and a Master of Public Health. The school also has several blended and online non-degree certificate programs. Through DartmouthX , the university offers online courses on various topics in conjunction with edX. The courses are open to the public and free, although certificates are available for a small fee. Course topics include Retail Fundamentals, Introduction to Italian Opera, and John Milton: Paradise Lost.

How to Apply to an Online Program at an Ivy League School

The application process for an online program varies depending on whether it is MOOC-based or a degree- or certificate-bearing program. MOOCs are usually simple to sign up for through the chosen platform and don’t usually require any formal application process or prerequisites. However, they may require you to be willing to have your information included in a research study, as many Ivy League institutions use MOOCs for research on teaching and learning.

For degree or professional development programs, you will probably need to go through the institution’s admissions department:

  • Review your options: Choose the program that offers you the best academic credentials at a reasonable price. If you have questions, admissions counselors will help you determine if the program is a good fit for you.
  • Determine if there are application deadlines: For many schools, applications are accepted during winter for fall admissions. However, since online degree programs may not operate on the same schedule as the school’s on-campus courses, you may be able to submit your application at other times. As a general rule, your admissions materials should be submitted 6-12 months before you intend to start your coursework.
  • Fill out an application: You may need to submit a personal essay and recommendations for an undergraduate degree. Your transcripts from any previous education may also be required.
  • Complete the FAFSA: If you are requesting financial aid, you will fill out a FAFSA form to determine what you are eligible for.

Once you’ve completed these steps, sit back and wait to hear from your chosen institution. It may take a few weeks to a few months before you hear back on their decision.

Why Pursue Your Doctorate Online?

Students have different and highly personal reasons for pursuing their doctorate online. Many candidates are already deeply involved in their careers and family lives. So, relocating across the country to complete their studies is simply not an option. Other Ph.D. candidates are adults who have already had the whole college experience. Some would prefer to complete their studies in peace, taking their time and focusing solely on their assignments. Others are looking for fast doctoral degrees so they can advance in their careers.

“In May 2023, I graduated with a doctorate of business administration (DBA) from Temple University through a low residency program. That is, we had three in-person weekends per semester during the first two years, plus Wednesday night classes in between those on-site classes. I view the program as a hybrid approach and I especially appreciated the online classes. I suspect the fact that I’m an introvert is why I preferred the classes that were held on Zoom. I participated more and was more at ease when we were in Zoom class sessions versus when we were sitting together in person in the classroom in Philadelphia. The program was great; I honed my scholarly research abilities and made lifelong friends.” Dr. Marcia Layton Turner, founder of the  Association of Ghostwriters

#20. Duquesne University

Duquesne University

Duquesne University is a private Catholic college founded in 1878. It features over 85 undergraduate programs and more than 110 graduate and certificate programs across ten distinct schools. A little over 8,000 students attend this mid-sized university. Students cite small class sizes and knowledgeable professors who “take time for their students” as among the benefits of choosing Duquesne.

Another factor frequently mentioned about Duquesne is the rigor of its academic programs. Many students say, “The curriculum can be challenging, particularly in the sciences.” However, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1, receiving individualized attention from your instructors is rarely a problem.

Students who wish to earn their doctoral degree online at Duquesne University have three options:

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Online

This degree features three-year and four-year curriculum options, plus a DNP to PhD program . There are some residency requirements on campus. Additionally, students will complete a study abroad experience at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

  • Doctor of Philosophy in N u rsing Ethics Online

The Ph.D. program in Nursing Ethics is a 47-credit-hour program that takes four to six years to complete. The coursework can be completed online. However, candidates will need to come to campus for four residency requirements. One of these is a study abroad experience.

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Online

The School of Pharmacy at Duquesne features an online Pharm.D. Program. This four-year program is designed for candidates who have already met the prerequisite course requirements from an accredited US institution. Students will complete most of their work online with limited campus residency requirements. A unique aspect of this program is that all students enrolled automatically earn a BS in Pharmacy Foundations (BSPF) simultaneously at no added cost!

Duquesne offers nearly 50 centers and institutes for research programs, cross-discipline learning, and more. Plus, the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) supports students and faculty in engaging in innovation and research. The ORI provides technical support, networking, grant application assistance, and more, making it an excellent resource for doctoral students.

Best Online Ph.D. Programs Methodology

There are many types of doctoral degrees . However, each of the online schools on this list was evaluated using several criteria. First, we searched the NCES database for all schools offering online doctoral programs. Each school is accredited, located in the US, and offers at least two online or hybrid doctoral programs. From there, we applied the following factors to determine our ranking:

Average Graduate Tuition Rate Per Academic Year

  • Less than $15,000 per year = 5 Points
  • Between $15,000 and $20,000 per year = 3 Points
  • More than $20,000 per year = 1 Point

Student-to-Faculty Ratio

  • 15:1 or less = 3 Points
  • Greater than 15:1 = 1 Point

Overall Graduation Rate

  • Greater than 80% = 3 Point
  • 80% or Less = 1 Point

In cases where schools ranked the same number of points, preference was given to colleges with the most affordable tuition. You can view the entire ranking chart at the end of this article. Please note that no school is given preferential treatment. Each is evaluated based on the same essential criteria.

When listing tuition rates, we use each school’s in-state graduate tuition per academic year. Your costs may vary depending on where you live and the program you choose. Bear in mind that many schools on this list offer substantial financial assistance.

Online Learning

Online learning at brown university.

Digital education programs are emerging as an important component of Brown’s ability to fully realize its mission of serving the community, the nation, and the world.

These programs are also key to our ability to be truly inclusive in bringing together diverse learners from a range of personal and professional backgrounds, and from all corners of the globe. Pathways to Diversity and Inclusion: An Action Plan for Brown University (2016) entered Phase II in April 2021, and it is central to the University’s strategic plan, Building on Distinction.

Low-residency and fully online programs serve students where they are and enable them to access educational programs that might not otherwise be accessible to them and to put their training and/or research to work in the service of larger endeavors. Excellent hybrid and online programs also increase options for students who work full-time and who seek the education, training, and knowledge to help them advance professionally. Online programs eliminate geopolitical barriers and enable international students to continue to participate in academic life at Brown.

Finally, online education offers the potential to reverse the cost of higher education by examining whether certain online programs - particularly those that are designed to serve the public good -- can be offered at tuition levels that make a Brown education more accessible to diverse learners around the world.

Brown offers a portfolio of low-residency, hybrid and fully-online, degree and non-degree programs & short courses:

State Authorization & Distance Education

Distance Education refers to online degree or certificate programs available to students physically located in other states and territories. It also includes certain educational activities that occur outside of Rhode Island, such as field placements and academic internships.

Brown University wants to provide students and prospective students who are located in other states the information they need to determine if Brown’s distance education offerings are authorized in their state. Providing this information to students is also mandated by state and federal laws and regulations governing State Authorization.

State Authorization refers to the requirement that institutions of higher education obtain authorization for their distance education offerings from individual states, in accordance with each state’s laws and regulations.

Brown University is a Rhode Island institutional member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), an agreement among member US states, Washington D.C. and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offerings of postsecondary distance education courses and programs, including those offered online. SARA is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in a state other than their home state. SARA is overseen by the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and administered by four regional education compacts; the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) is the regional entity for Rhode Island.

NC-SARA policies and standards, including those for consumer protection and the resolution of complaints, apply to interstate distance education offered by participating NC-SARA institutions to students in other NC-SARA states. Complaints about a RI-SARA institution’s operations are to be resolved under the RI-SARA provisions.

The Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) and the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner (OPC) administer NC-SARA for Rhode Island and have the authority and responsibility to resolve student and other complaints about Rhode Island’s SARA-approved institutions.

Brown University makes every attempt to resolve student complaints within its academic and administrative departments. Students should first attempt to resolve any concerns by utilizing existing University procedures.

For Online Students Located in SARA Member States and Territories After you have exhausted the complaint procedures made available by Brown University, you may submit written complaints and supporting documentation alleging consumer fraud, state licensing of postsecondary institutions, and/or quality of education or accreditation requirements relating to a Brown University online or blended course/program to:

Commissioner of Postsecondary Education Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner 560 Jefferson Boulevard Warwick, RI 02886-1304 401-736-1100 www.riopc.edu

Recommended Content of the RI-SARA Complaint Initial complaints should include the complainant’s full name, address and contact information, including email address and telephone number. Complaints should specify enrollment status, i.e. whether the student is a current, former or prospective student; and they should be specific in describing the nature of the complaint and relevant information: the name of the parties involved, including witnesses, dates, the name of the institution, the policy or procedure violated (if known) and contact information. Any supporting material that substantiates the complaint also should be included.

After receiving a complaint, the OPC will review the submitted materials and contact the submitter for any required additional information or clarifications. The OPC will then send a copy of the complaint to Brown and ask for a response within three weeks.

After receiving Brown’s response, the OPC will determine whether Brown's student complaint process has been followed and exhausted and what additional steps or follow-up may be taken. The OPC will inform both parties involved in the complaint.

If a person bringing a complaint is not satisfied with the outcome of the institutional process for handling complaints, the complaint (except for complaints about grades or student conduct violations) may be appealed to the OPC within two years of the incident about which the complaint is made. The resolution of the complaint by the OPC, through its RI-SARA complaint resolution process, will be final.

If you have questions about the complaint process, or want to clarify that your individual complaint is reviewable by the OPC, please feel free to contact the OPC office by phone at 401-736-1100 or online at www.riopc.edu .

Complaints involving quality or accreditation requirements may also be filed directly with:

New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) 3 Burlington Woods Drive, Suite 100 Burlington Woods, MA 01803-4514 781-425-7785 Information for the Public: Comments and Complaints

Brown University’s accreditation documents may be viewed here: NECHE Accreditation

PLEASE NOTE: Students residing in California who wish to file a complaint and supporting documentation alleging consumer fraud, state licensing of postsecondary institutions, and/or quality of education or accreditation requirements regarding a Brown University online or blended course/program should contact:

  • California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education

Degree Recognition

We advise prospective students interested in a Brown University degree to determine whether the degree will be recognized in the student’s country of residence and/or any country in which the student intends to work. Some countries may not formally recognize foreign online degrees, which may impact the ability to later enroll in other educational programs or to seek employment with a government employer or other employers requiring specific credentials.

Restrictions and Licensing Requirements

To comply with OFAC restrictions and licensing requirements, Brown University currently does not offer online programs to individuals physically located in the following areas: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. Please note that this limitation is location based, as well as applies to all citizens of these countries, regardless of location, who are ordinarily resident in these countries.

More information pertaining to embargoed country regulations for online courses can be found here .

The following Brown teams work to support the successful design and delivery of fully online (credit and non credit), hybrid, and low residency programs to diverse populations of learners at the pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels.

Headshot of Dr. Jacqueline Corcoran

Director’s Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Doctorate in Social Work program at the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. The Penn DSW curriculum offers working professionals an Ivy League experience wherever they are. Our graduates are sought after social work doctors—highly trained and respected experts, educators, researchers, and leaders who engage in fulfilling, rewarding work and make important contributions to the profession. Many of our DSW graduates are combining social work practice and teaching with some taking full-time teaching positions.

Courses in the DSW program are taught through a combination of synchronous (real-time) online interactive video instruction and periodic on-campus immersion. Classes are taught by Penn faculty and renowned visiting faculty and clinician experts from across the country. Students are in class with the same cohort for the first two years of the program; in the third year, students participate in a Dissertation Seminar Series that provides support and structure as they complete the last stages of the dissertation. The dissertation provides an opportunity to gain deep knowledge and become a content expert in a particular area, as well as contribute to the social work knowledge base.

Book covers of Dr. Jacqueline Corcoran

I have been an MSW for 30 years and a licensed clinician and social work scholar for over 25 years. After having written 18 books and over a hundred articles and book chapters and mentoring and teaching MSW and doctoral students, I am excited to assist DSW students in deepening their understanding of the field, improving their practice, and furthering the field through leadership positions. Now, more than ever, social worker leaders are needed in the movement towards social justice.

Jacqueline Corcoran, PhD Director, Doctorate in Clinical Social Work Program

“ The dissertation provides an opportunity to gain deep knowledge and become a content expert in a particular area, as well as contribute to the social work knowledge base.”

Renowned faculty from around the world leading cutting-edge courses on clinical practice, research, and teaching

INVISIBLE – leave blank

The opportunity to conduct dissertation research on a pressing clinical social work issue under guidance from world-class faculty

Flexible Hybrid Format

The Penn DSW curriculum offers working professionals an Ivy League experience wherever they are. Courses are taught through a combination of synchronous (real-time) online interactive video instruction and periodic on-campus immersion. The DSW degree can be earned in as little as two years but typically takes three years to complete.

The Campus Experience

Students begin the program with a five-day immersion experience on Penn’s Philadelphia campus at the start of their first semester (late August/early September). During this residency period, students attend their first classes and participate in a variety of activities that immerse them in the Penn experience and prepare them for what’s to come. During the fall of year two, students return to campus for an additional four-day residency. Students able to visit campus more frequently are invited to use our library, meet with faculty, and take advantage of Penn’s other campus resources and activities.

The Classroom Experience

Classes meet online two evenings per week for two hours. Students and faculty log in on their personal computers or devices from wherever they are. Real-time video conferencing allows everyone to be seen and heard at all times, closely approximating a physical classroom experience. Students are in class for the first two years of the program; in the third year, students participate in a Dissertation Seminar Series that provides support and structure as they complete the last stages of the dissertation.

The DSW curriculum bridges theory, practice, and research, and prepares students to teach. Students actively engage in learning about and critiquing the recent developments, discoveries, and best practices in evidence-based social work practice and teaching. Classes are taught by Penn faculty and renowned visiting faculty and clinician experts from across the country. The dissertation provides an opportunity to gain deep knowledge and become a content expert in a particular area, as well as contribute to the social work knowledge base.

World-Class Faculty

DSW program faculty are here to help you shape your specific area of expertise, drawing on their own decades of scholarship, teaching, and experience in areas as diverse as mental health, health care services in vulnerable populations , trauma and abuse, and child well-being .

The Penn DSW curriculum is designed to engage students in high-level learning that challenges them to think methodically, critically, and creatively about social work theory, practice, pedagogy, and research.

Students are required to complete 12 course units, a first-year on-campus immersion, a second-year on-campus immersion, a dissertation, and a dissertation defense.

DSW Academic Calendar >

The program begins with a two-semester foundation that spans clinical theory and research and ends with a core course on trauma-informed interventions. Concurrent with their coursework, students complete a dissertation workshop that guides them through the first stages of their dissertation. Near the end of the year, students are matched with a dissertation chair who shepherds them through the remainder of the dissertation process.

Note that some students are able to complete the dissertation in as little as two years.

“When I consider the reasons for attending SP2, I think back to the School’s mission — a long-standing commitment to social justice and educating students committed to taking an active role in fighting oppression. The School’s mission resonated with me then and continues to do so now. In our national, and global context, it is a mission constantly being put to the test. I do not take lightly that graduating from SP2 was instrumental in opening doors, but also in shaping the critical scholar, teacher, and mentor I am and strive to be every day with this mission in mind.”

Dissertation

The Process

In collaboration with dissertation mentors and later, with the dissertation committee, students begin developing a dissertation topic during their first semester of the program. Through close mentoring and a tightly structured process, students complete an original work of scholarship that contributes to the clinical social work literature and knowledge base. The dissertation engages students in deep study and positions them as knowledge experts in their content area.

Students have a variety of options for deciding how to answer their research question. These include systematic/scoping reviews, quantitative designs (including intervention studies and surveys), qualitative studies, and data-driven development of treatment manuals. Please see the DSW Handbook for additional detail.

The Finished Product

The final product may be in the form of a traditional chapter-style dissertation or two publishable articles. All DSW dissertations are published on Scholarly Commons , the University of Pennsylvania’s open-access repository for scholarly work. This ensures that knowledge produced by our students is readily available and accessible for front-line social work practitioners and others who are seeking information on a particular topic.

The Doctorate in Clinical Social Work (DSW) Program is offered by the University of Pennsylvania, an institution of higher education authorized to confer degrees and certificates conferring academic credit under applicable laws of the United States. Students who are interested in participating in the program from countries other than the United States are advised that each jurisdiction may have its own laws and regulations governing online educational programs, and some jurisdictions may not recognize course credit or an online degree awarded by the University as satisfying local requirements for professional licensure, employment qualification, or other purposes. Before enrolling in this program, prospective students should investigate their jurisdiction’s treatment of foreign online programs to ensure that participation in this program will meet their objectives.

  • The Ivy League – A Guide for PhD Students

Written by Sarah Hastings-Woodhouse

The United States is the most popular study abroad destination in the world – and the Ivy League universities are amongst its top institutions.

If you’re considering PhD study in the USA , the Ivy League should definitely feature in your search! In this guide, we’ll cover what the Ivy League is and how you can maximise your chances of earning a place at one of these top institutions for your PhD.

On this page

What is the ivy league.

The Ivy League is a group of eight prestigious, high-ranking American universities. Ivy League schools have a reputation for producing world-renowned research, as well as high-profile graduates from former US presidents to Nobel Prize winners.

The members of the Ivy League are:

  • Harvard University
  • Yale University
  • Princeton University
  • Columbia University
  • Dartmouth College
  • Brown University
  • University of Pennsylvania
  • Cornell University

Though its members have a reputation for academic excellence, the Ivy League isn’t technically an academic alliance at all – it’s an athletic conference . Officially formed in 1954, the primary purpose of the conference was originally to set shared ground-rules for intercollegiate football.

Over time, the Ivy League has gone on to acquire the academic reputation it enjoys today. This is partially because its members were already amongst the country’s best established universities (all but one pre-date the American Revolution).

It is also because intellectual merit is a founding principle of the league – one of the motivations behind its inception was to make sure sports didn’t take priority over academia. This meant all eight universities agreed not to offer athletic scholarships so that they only admitted the most academically qualified students – a rule that persists to this day.

In the near seven decades since it was founded, the Ivy League has become less known for its sporting success and more known for the quality of its research (and its alumni!). Eight of the nine current Supreme Court justices and every former US president in the last 40 years studied at an Ivy League university.

Why do your PhD at an Ivy League university?

Earning your PhD at an Ivy League institution is certainly a worthy ambition – you’ll have gained your doctorate at one of the oldest and most well-respected universities in the United States (if not the world). Six of the eight Ivy League schools rank in the top 20 universities worldwide according to the Times Higher Education 2023 World Rankings . The same number rank within the top 100 according to their research-specific score.

Ivy League Rankings 2024
University Overall ranking Research score
4 99.9
Princeton University 6 97.9
Yale University 10 94.9
University of Pennsylvania 16 89.7
Columbia University 17 89.7
Cornell University 20 88.7
Brown University =64 59.6
Dartmouth College =161 40.7
World University Rankings. Visit their website for more information.

Largely thanks to sizable donations from alumni and other benefactors, Ivy League schools are also able to offer some of the most well-funded PhD programmes across the globe. The eight members each have endowments ranging from approximately $5-30 billion . This means you’ll certainly benefit from excellent research facilities during your PhD!

Ivy League graduates also join an extensive alumni network. This will allow you to form lifelong connections that will be invaluable – whether or not you decide to pursue an academic career.

That said, it’s worth noting that none of these benefits are exclusive to the Ivy League. Of the top ten universities in the USA according to Times Higher Education, five are not members. Nobody would call into question that quality of education and research at non-Ivy institutions such as Stanford University or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)!

When choosing where in the US to do your PhD, there are plenty more important factors to consider than whether a university belongs to a particular group. Are there faculty members in your department that share your research interests? What funding opportunities are available?

If an Ivy League university looks like it would be best suited to your personal research interests and aspirations, great! If not, there are plenty more fantastic options out there.

PhD tuition fees at Ivy League universities

An Ivy League PhD guarantees a very high standard of education – but all that prestige comes at a price! You can expect to pay an average annual tuition fee of $48,405 for a PhD at an Ivy League university.

All eight members are all private universities – but their PhD tuition fees are still higher than the average private institution in the US (which charges around $26,621 per year).

Here’s an overview of the average PhD fees at each university:

Ivy League PhD Tuition Fees 2023
University Tuition fees
$54,032 (reduced to $13,638 after two years)
Princeton University $59,710
Yale University $48,300
Columbia University $53,576
University of Pennsylvania $41,544
Cornell University $32,762
Brown University $65,656
Dartmouth College $63,684

In 1985, an admissions officer at Yale named Richard Moll listed eight public universities he considered to be of a comparable education standard to the Ivy League. He termed them the ‘Public Ivies’. They are:

  • College of William & Mary
  • Miami University
  • University of California
  • University of Michigan
  • University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • University of Texas at Austin
  • University of Vermont
  • University of Virginia

The average annual fee for a PhD at a public university in the US is $12,394 . If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to an Ivy League doctorate, these universities are definitely worth considering!

PhD funding at Ivy League universities

Fees for PhD programmes at Ivy League universities may seem high – but the good news is that it’s rare for students to pay the full cost of their PhD. Ivy League schools provide generous funding packages for PhD students. In fact, many will even cover the full cost of your tuition, along with a stipend towards living costs. Some funding packages may include added benefits such as health insurance.

It’s actually very common for PhD students at Ivy League universities (and elsewhere in the US) to receive full coverage for their PhD costs. At Cornell University, for example, almost 97% of PhDs are fully funded through a combination of fellowships, assistantships and stipends.

We’ve produced a list of the funding opportunities available at each of the Ivy League universities below:

Applying for a PhD at an Ivy League university

It won’t come as any surprise that PhD programmes at Ivy League universities are very competitive. Acceptance rates for postgraduate programmes are generally under 10% and can be as low as 4%.

Applications are made directly to your chosen graduate programme. It’s worth noting that applying for a PhD in the US is very different to in the UK and many European countries. American PhDs are not pure research degrees and you’ll usually have to go through a taught coursework stage before you start writing your thesis. For this reason, you’ll often develop your research proposal during your programme.

To apply for a PhD at an Ivy League university, you’ll usually need a combination of the following:

  • Academic transcripts: The university will want to see a detailed breakdown of the grades you achieved during your previous degree(s). Because PhD programmes in the US effectively combine Masters and PhD study (some universities may even award a Masters part way through your PhD), it’s unlikely that a Masters will be required. However, it may be an advantage when applying to a competitive Ivy League school!
  • Academic CV/ Resume
  • Personal statement (sometimes referred to in the US as a ‘statement of purpose’)
  • Standardised test scores : Ivy League applicants are sometimes required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  • Writing sample

Undergraduate and Masters programmes in the US are assessed using a system called Grade Point Average (GPA) . Your university will usually calculate your GPA equivalent based on your academic transcript.

Ivy League universities generally do not set minimum GPA requirements; however, it is true that the average GPA for successful applicants is quite high. For example, the average GPA amongst successful PhD applicants at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering was 3.8 in 2021 (4.0 is the highest GPA you can achieve).

That said, your GPA won’t necessarily make or break your application. A PhD application has many elements – meaning there are plenty of opportunities to compensate for a lower GPA, whether through a stand-out personal statement or a glowing letter of recommendation.

Best Ivy League Online Master’s Degree Programs

Online learning has taken the world by storm. Over six million Americans are pursuing some form of online education. In particular, graduate students are twice as likely to pursue and obtain a degree online. In this article, we’ll tell you everything about the best Ivy League online master’s programs offered by the nation’s most prestigious Ivy League institutions.

Ivy League online master’s degree programs provide a wealth of benefits over traditional degree programs. Not only are these programs less costly, but according to a LinkedIn survey, 58 percent of graduate students would rather pursue their education online. This is due to the high standards of most online programs and the plethora of resources that are offered exclusively online.

Find your bootcamp match

The ability to find degree programs and access them whenever you’re most comfortable is an invaluable asset.
