“Biography: WWE Legends” Season 3 and “WWE Rivals” Season 2 have set their premiere dates on A&E.

“Biography: WWE Legends” will return on Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by “WWE Rivals” at 10 p.m. The two shows will then continue to air back to back on Sundays nights going forward.

“Biography: WWE Legends” and “WWE Rivals,” are produced by WWE for A&E Network. Executive producers for WWE are Kevin Dunn and Chris Kaiser. Executive producers for A&E Network are Elaine Frontain Bryant, Brad Abramson, and Jonathan Partridge. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights.

In March 2022, A&E and WWE announced they were expanding their partnership with an order for 130 hours of new programming . All series will be available on demand and to stream on the A&E app and at A&E’s website.

Later this summer, A&E will also premiere a new season of “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures,” where legends like Booker T, Mick Foley, and Lita will go on the road in search of lost WWE memorabilia.

The partnership between WWE and A&E continues to grow and is bigger than ever with the addition of two brand new shows.

The following is a press release from A&E regarding their upcoming lineup of WWE programming this summer:

Starting Sunday, July 10 at 8pm ET/PT, A&E Network and WWE are bringing fans into the ring with 9 weeks of all-new programming featuring intimate looks into the lives and careers of some of WWE’s most iconic Legends. With unprecedented access to WWE’s archive, season 2 of “Biography: WWE Legends,” new series “WWE Rivals,” and new after show “WWE Smack Talk” air back-to-back each Sunday. The premieres are part of an ongoing partnership featuring 130 hours of new, premium WWE-themed series and specials commissioned by the network to air exclusively on A&E platforms and to be distributed worldwide by A+E Networks. “Biography: WWE Legends” – Season Two Premieres Sunday, July 10 at 8pm ET/PT Under the award-winning “Biography” banner, each two-hour episode will tell the intimate, personal stories behind the success of some of WWE’s most memorable Legends and events. Through rare archival footage and in-depth interviews, each episode explores a different Legend and their immense impact in the WWE universe and on pop culture. A&E Biography: WWE Legends returns in July, list of subjects to be covered

A&E’s Biography: WWE Legends will be returning in July with the network revealing the subjects that will be covered.

After a series of Biography episodes on past WWE talent aired in 2021, A&E and WWE announced an expanded partnership this past March.

The expanded multi-year agreement would include new episodes of ‘Biography’ and ‘Most Wanted Treasures’, as well as a new series called ‘WWE Rivals’.

The next set of ‘Biography’ editions will kick off on Sunday, July 10 th with an episode focusing on The Undertaker. That will be followed by the first episode of ‘WWE Rivals’ and an after-show called ‘WWE Smack Talk’.

The two series will air back-to-back on Sunday nights.

Additional episodes of ‘Biography’ will include ones dedicated to Kurt Angle, Lex Luger, Edge, Bill Goldberg, D-Generation X, The Bella Twins, Rey Mysterio, and WrestleMania 1.

Cody Rhodes announced upon his return to WWE that he would serve as an executive producer for an episode of ‘Biography’ covering his father but was not listed in the reel that A&E released on Wednesday.

WWE and A&E announce two new shows and a second season of Biography: WWE Legends

All three shows will premiere Sunday, July 10, beginning at 8:00 pm Eastern.

Three months ago, WWE and A&E announced a multi-year extension to have 130 total hours of WWE-themed content air exclusively on A&E platforms.

On Wednesday, WWE and A&E revealed some of their upcoming programming, which includes a second season of Biography: WWE Legends and two new shows. All of that will premiere on Sunday, July 10.

Season 2 of Biography: WWE Legends will feature people and events from various eras of the WWE timeline. Starting in the 80s with the first WrestleMania, A&E will profile such people as The Undertaker, Goldberg, The Bella Twins, Lex Luger, Edge, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, and D-Generation X.

WWE Rivals was mentioned in the initial announcement, with WWE and A&E saying then that the show “will chronicle the little-known stories behind the biggest clashes in WWE history.” Hosted by Freddie Prinze Jr., who used to write for WWE, WWE Rivals will cover such rivalries as Steve Austin/The Rock, Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels, Undertaker/Kane, John Cena/Edge, and the Monday Night Wars of the 90s.

WWE Smack Talk is a wrap-up show of the Biography and Rivals episodes that just aired. Hosted by Booker T, Peter Rosenberg , and Jackie Redmond , they will discuss the biggest moments from both shows as well as reveal extra stuff that didn’t make the show along with interviewing special guests.

One show that wasn’t mentioned in this latest announcement was WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures , a show that consisted of WWE seeking out unique and memorable pieces of pro wrestling history. In their earlier announcement, it was revealed that A&E ordered 24 episodes of that. So while WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures apparently isn’t set to air in July, it will air in due time.

WWE Makes Announcement on 'Biography: WWE Legends,' Launches Two New Shows on A&E

July 10th is going to be a very busy day for WWE . The wrestling promotion and A&E recently announced that Season 2 of Biography: WWE Legends will premiere on Sunday (July 10) with nine new episodes on A&E. It was also announced that two news shows, WWE Rivals and WWE Smack Talk will premiere following Biography: WWE Legends , which will start at 8 p.m. ET. WWE Rivals will premiere at 10 p.m. ET, and WWE Smack Talk will start at 11 p.m. ET. 

Biography: WWE Legends "will tell the intimate, personal stories behind the success of some of WWE's most memorable Legends and events. Through rare archival footage and in-depth interviews, each episode explores a different Legend and their immense impact in the WWE universe and on pop culture," according to the official synopsis. Each episode will be two hours long, and the legends featured this season are The Undertaker , Goldberg, The Bella Twins, Lex Luger, Edge, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, D-Generation X and the first-ever WrestleMania .

WWE Rivals will be hosted by actor and former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr.  who "leads a roundtable discussion of WWE luminaries to delve into the storylines and dynamic characters behind the epic battles that built the WWE. Each one-hour episode features archival footage from WWE's library as well as interviews with the Legends involved and the Superstars that watched these rivalries unfold." The show will take a look at "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Rock, Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker vs. Kane, John Cena vs. Edge   and   the "Monday Night Wars" between WCW and WWE.

WWE Smack Talk will feature WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, Hot 97 and ESPN host Peter Rosenberg and WWE host Jackie Redmond and will break down " biggest moments from each Sunday's episode of Biography: WWE Legends and WWE Rivals as well as reveals new information that didn't make the cut." Each episode will be 30 minutes long and will feature WWE Superstars and celebrity guests. 

This is all part of a new deal WWE and A&E signed in May. The deal includes 130 hours of programming, including 35 new episodes of Biography: WWE Legends and 40 hours of WWE Rivals . Last year, WWE's Most Wanted Treasures premiered on A&E, and 24 more episodes of the show have been ordered.
