But only if we live together does it continue to be a family. The family's ideals are fulfilled when the members remain close and comprehend one another through good and bad times. Families eat together, laugh together, and create memories while sharing both joy and sorrow.

Therefore, we must uphold our family values wherever we go. It influences who we are and sets us out from the herd. We should never compromise family values and their significance as we age.

In our country family is the most essential thing that can’t be measured in terms of any value. God's greatest gift to all living things on earth, including people, is a family. A person cannot be whole and happy without their family and their affection. A family is a group of people with whom you may share both happy and sad moments. Family is there for you in the most trying times. You may not find the warmth and love you need anywhere else than in your family.

It’s difficult to remember everything that our family has been doing for us because everything that we have today is because of our family. They are the ones who looked after us when we were young and no matter how much we grow up we will be young in their eyes. When we can’t walk properly they are the one who hold our hands and give us confidence and tell us that we are not alone. They are the ones who play with us when we don’t have friends. We depend on our family for almost everything. They take care of everything that we need in our daily lives. No matter what the situation is, they will always be there to help you in your difficult times.

Family As Safety Clause

In addition to the physical, mental, and intellectual development of a person's character, a family offers protection against external dangers and evils, meaning that a person is shielded from all types of external failures within their own family. All of our needs and wishes are fulfilled by the family, which also provides a safe atmosphere for us. Despite coming from a middle-class household, my parents do their utmost to accommodate all of my and my siblings' demands.I feel more connected to my family as a result of the love my extended family has for me, and it also makes me more aware of my duties to my own family. During their difficult time, every member of the family experiences difficulties together.

Pillars of Strength

In good times and bad, our family has always been by our side. We have never felt weak in our life because our family keeps on giving us strength. They are always ready to cross any line when it comes to our security without even thinking about themselves. Family members always backed each other and overcame any difficult situation. Their strength lies in unity and they share a special bond that has formed with love and trust.

I was born in a joint family and we live together. The kind of person I am today is because of my family. They are an integral part of my life. My family always taught me to be a good person and guided me to the path of an honest person. Whenever I make mistakes they scold me. At first I used to get angry at them but now when I look back I get why they scold me. Whenever I had a hard time my family seemed to be more worried than me. Honestly I can’t express how wonderful it is to have a family. I have a younger sister and an elder sister and we used to fight a lot and somehow that feels great and my family used to laugh at us for being silly. I am a college student now and I live in a hostel and everyday I miss my family. No matter where we go in our lives, in the end we will return to our family because that’s the place we truly belong.

The first love you ever know often comes from your mother and your immediate family members. This unconditional love seeks nothing in return. Those loving times you remember cuddling with your parents, playing ball with your brother in the backyard, or getting ice cream down the street with your grandmother aren’t just cherished memories.

A family's love psychologically grounds you and provides a framework for future relationships. It enables you to form secure attachments . Securely attached children feel safe and cared for. If you had secure bonds, your parents were likely responsive and fulfilled your needs when you were young.

Having positive attachments and feeling cared for by your loved ones leads to higher social functioning later on. A child with secure attachments also can more easily form healthy ties with others when they grow up and throughout their future.

The advantages mentioned above regarding the fostering of secure attachments and higher social functioning aren’t the only ones accrued by stable family relationships. When you feel safe, protected, and cared for during those crucial early years, you have a good framework for the world. The future outlook seems bright.

Living in a warm environment that is surrounded by a family's love generates other benefits including:

You gain confidence and a high sense of self-esteem .
You learn conflict resolution skills .
You learn about communication and social interactions.
You have good physical health (thanks to home-cooked healthy meals, regular exercise and play, and early bedtimes).
You become more resilient and adaptable as you and your family surmount challenges.
You feel like you have support when you need it.
You feel a sense of stability and predictability based on routine.
You don’t have to do anything to earn family love. You have it unconditionally—just for being born.
Your childhood experiences and growth are seen in a positive light.
You also decrease the possibility that you’ll have mental health challenges in the future.

Recent Research

A 2019 study showed that adults with higher levels of positive childhood experiences had lower odds of depression and/or poor mental health and greater adult-reported social and emotional support.

Feeling loved by our families and having great childhood experiences when you’re young is important. The study also showed that enhancing positive childhood experiences may reduce adult mental health problems even when adverse childhood events happened.

Estrangement From Family Members

Perhaps you didn’t have an idyllic childhood and your parents weren’t good role models. You might have chosen to distance yourself from them by choice. Or in later years, you preferred to strike out in a different direction than the one you were expected to follow.

Thus, rather than have tension and discomfort, you opted not to spend time with family.

About 27% of Americans are estranged from a family member. That’s according to a survey by the Cornell Family Reconciliation Project conducted for the book, Fault Lines: Fractured Families and How to Mend Them , by Cornell University sociologist Karl Pillemer.

What If Effects of the Pandemic Negatively Impacted Your Family?

During COVID-19, family dynamics often shifted. As a result of spending more time together, let’s face it. Many of us became frustrated with each other. Some relationships frayed. Unable to escape to movies or to meet friends, you might have even grown resentful of your brother playing his music too loud or your cousin eating your favorite cereal on a daily basis.

Though you are related to them by genetics, maybe you’ve grown tired of being cooped up with them. With added stressors and demands placed upon you, you might feel you didn’t get the understanding or assistance you needed.

Consequently, you may feel depleted and, to be frank, less than enamored with these people. Many confess they are more alienated from family members now than before the pandemic, although the whole family still remains under the same roof or in the same apartment building.

Recent research from Penn State showed because family members were stuck together for more time than they were used to, people's overall well-being began to suffer.

Others of us lived and worked across the country from our family. We couldn’t travel to visit them or perhaps we couldn’t give much time to loved ones. Maybe we felt guilty. Maybe we were relieved.

Disagreements over politics , wearing masks, and getting the vaccine strained family relationships. Perhaps you feel there won’t be a return to the way things were before the pandemic and that’s okay.

You can cope with estranged relationships and make peace with them through family therapy or individual therapy .

If you didn’t have a wonderful family experience growing up or don’t have one now, you still have agency in creating another kind of family. Family love can be found whether it’s based on bloodline relationships or not.

Family love can be built with a group outside of your family, such as your friendship circle. Rest assured you don’t have to be extremely close to your parents or siblings or children to have familial love.

The relationships you forge with neighbors, friends from work, or childhood friends who might be back in your life can serve extremely well as your family. Perhaps you’re close to college friends or church friends. You can establish your own close ties with people you choose to be with.

For many people, their close friends aren’t just "like family," they are family. The important thing is to have close, meaningful relationships as they sustain us.

According to a scientific review of about 150 studies that included 300,000 participants, people with strong social ties have a 50% better chance of survival than those with weaker ties. This is regardless of age, sex, or health status.

While we can maintain ties through texting or quick phone calls to just check in, you might want to devote more attention to these important relationships in your life. We need to remember that having these close relationships is a significant aspect of good health.

Tips for Nurturing Family Love

Let’s focus on easy ways to maintain these bonds; they matter deeply. Here are additional ways to nurture family love and significant relationships:

Make spending time with loved ones a priority.
Play games online regularly.
Practice better listening skills .
Write letters and send via snail mail .
Set up a regular weekend hour to chat at length.
Travel to your loved one’s home.
Eat meals together.
Cook together in person or virtually.
Set up a weekly happy hour.
Join an exercise or weight lifting class together.
Join a recreational sports team together.
Volunteer together for a charity you both admire.
Be sensitive and caring.
Tell your loved ones you love them .
Express your gratitude to them, which not only will make them happy but makes you happier.
Use non-verbal expressions like eye contact, smiles, and affectionate embraces.

Hugs are important as we need physical touch as human beings . In fact, during a warm and welcome hug , the hormone oxytocin is released, which slows down our heart rate, reduces stress, and lowers anxiety. In addition, the brain also releases endorphins that flood us with feelings of pleasure and happiness.

There are many benefits of belonging to a supportive family network. It’s an integral part of physical and mental well-being. Begin to focus your time and attention on those you love. Soon you’ll be creating fun times and happy memories.

The Importance of Family

Family can exist in many forms and as a single parent, there are some things I know to be important. What lies in the epicenter of that are the people who consider themselves family and the love that they have for one another. These bonds are important because family helps us get through the most disastrous times and the best times. Family is important because they can offer support and security coupled with unconditional love; they will always look to see and bring out the best in you even if you cannot see it for yourself. Family is important because they will, for the most part, be the only ones who can really understand you and bring you back to that place of peace.

Family is also very crucial to guide you down the path of morality when it comes to outside influences such as dealing with drugs, alcohol, peer pressure, bullying, or someone saying negative things to you. Your family might not be able to shield you from everything, but they will be able to assist you through the hard times and give you the tools you need to diffuse or avoid the situation. Family will provide you with a home if you do not have one and they will point you in the right direction so that you can get back on your feet. Family will tell you what you do not want to hear, but they do it out of love to help you grow.

Another reason family is so important is because they can teach us to know our family history, which can shape our persona into something positive and give us a sense of direction. Marcus Garvey once said, “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots.” Why am I stressing the importance of family? It is because there are some people who are not blessed with two parents and those that are blessed with two parents might not be close to their parents and are closer to their aunts, uncles, or grandparents. That being said, for the last 6 years, single-parent families have held a steady rate of 35% of total households in the United States. In 2016, that percentage totaled out to approximately 24 million kids living with single parents in the United States, which is more than the population of Florida. According to the Kid’s Data Center, in 2016, 32% of single parents were living in poverty compared to 7% of two-parent family homes. There is a clear understanding that growing up in destitute can present academic obstacles, reduced access to safe communities, quality enrichment activities, and can cause a heightened risk of physical, behavioral, and emotional issues. That is why I speak so emphatically on the significance of family. when family comes together, they can make the impossible become possible, and give hope to those that they love so dearly and give them a fighting chance in this life. Parents, both married and single, and elders must hold each other accountable because our children are worth it. “One generation plants the trees and another gets the shade.”

The best gift God has given to all living beings on earth is a family. Getting a happy family is a blessing because not everyone in the world has it. The pleasure of living with your parents, fighting over petty with your siblings can just make you smile the moment you think about it.

My family has always supported me without any claim, from the moral teachings to love and support. For me, my family is like a strong pillar on which I can rely blindly whenever I need support. My family is always there to inspire and support me to overcome all life challenges and accomplish things. A relation is a unique kind of love that gives you all the lessons you need to live a healthy lifestyle.

My family is one of the world’s craziest families. We ‘re four members, my mother, my father, my younger brother, and me. While my dad is the one who works for a living, my mom is the boss of the house. My dad is a humble person. He doesn’t scold us. But, just the opposite, our mother. She needs us to remain vigilant, and she quite often scolds us.

I have a wonderful family, and I love every member of my family.
My family is made up of four members- father, mother, brother, and myself.
My dad is an engineer, and my mother, by profession, is a school teacher.
Every member of my family loves, respects, and cares for one another.
My family goes there once every two weeks for a picnic.
After dinner each night, we all like to spend time with each other.
My family has taught me strong lessons about our love, solidarity, and cooperation.

Why family is important?

Families are wealth, which not everyone is lucky enough to have. Sometimes, those who have don’t value this gift. Families are important because they assist in our development. They grow us all into a full-fledged human with individual identity. They always offer us a sense of comfort and a safe place to flourish within. We learn to socialize and develop our intellect through our families. Studies demonstrate that people who live with their families tend to be happier than those who live alone. In times of trouble, they serve as your pillar.

When the entire world questions you, families are the only ones who believe in you. Similarly, they ‘re the first to cheer you up when you’re down and out. Having a supportive family by your side is a great blessing. In ups and downs, my family has always been at my side. They taught me how to be a better human being. I will be grateful to my family forever for what they did to me. Without them, I can’t imagine my life. They are my first instructors and friends.

The atmosphere in my family

We have a peaceful environment at home. After school, we spent our time studying, playing and watching TV, which our mother certainly doesn’t like. Like other partners, my mum and father rarely fight. In reality, as soon as we see an argument coming up, one of them just withdraws, and a heated debate between them is just rare to see. That’s what I like most about them because I feel my parents are so sweet. It is just my brother and me who enjoy competing with each other.

However, we know that it is truly our love for one another that holds us together behind those battles. I just enjoy spending time at home with my parents and my brother. I feel like how bad it will be when we go on with our professional lives tomorrow, and we won’t be able to spend a lot of time together.

My family values

My family values are what I care so much about because they have made me what I am today, and I intend to pass on these great values in the future to my children. Every family has those things, acts, and values that they hold in high regard and so much appreciation

My mom believes that if the world and everyone in it shows love and kindness to each other, there will be no hatred, and wars will be wiped out.

This is a concept passed down in my family from generation to generation. My dad would say the best legacy you can give a child is education.

I don’t want to be wrongly addressed and give the wrong impression. So, the way we dress and our appearance matters a lot to us.

Why do I love my family?

My father is the world’s best father. I am looking a lot at my father because I want to take a lot of his habits and make them mine. He taught me to be satisfied with everything that I have. My mum is the world’s greatest chef. Without my mum, I don’t know where I will be today. I owe her quite a deal.

My brother is one of the greatest presents that I’ve received. He is the last kid, so if you know what I mean, this gives him the potential to be irritating.

Each family has one thing or the other, which they hold in high regard and continue to pass from one generation to another. That is what makes a family a single group not because blood binds us but because we share the same beliefs. We always have one reason to love our family. I love my family because it’s the best gift I’ve ever been able to ask for and the fact they’ve been there for me through the good, bad, and fun times. They are a complete word for me. They are always to support me during my tough times.

My Family Speech – Essay 2

Good morning/afternoon to everyone.

My name is John and I am here to present a speech on ‘ My Family ’. I love my family. I have my father , mother and a younger sister in my family. They take great care of me. A family is the most important and complete unit of a society.

This requires a lot of effort into building relationships with everyone belonging to your family. And I’m so glad to acknowledge the great support and affection I derive from my family that builds me up as a unique creation of God and encourages me to follow my dreams and passions.

Father is the head of the family and he is supposed to lead everyone because we all look up to him. My father is a much disciplined man. Henceforth, he wants to keep us all in strict discipline.

‘Early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise’

And that’s kind of the principle of our family. My daddy makes us go to sleep early and wakes us up early. Sometimes, very early! Although it seems so disruptive at the moment when I can’t get to be lazy sometimes but I know that he does it for our good and I respect him for that.

My daddy is my role model . He is more special to me than Superman and Spiderman because he can do what no one can. His sweet affection is so dearly communicated while we sit every night at the dinner table and talk about our day. My daddy also taught me to pray.

So whenever I am afraid I close my eyes and pray to God and I feel peace in my heart. Well, yes I am very naughty and I get spankings from him sometimes. Like, when I disturb him during work hours or I disrespectfully yell at people. He teaches me to respect my elders.

He initiates me into things I don’t understand. He always pushes me to work harder, to go an extra mile even when I don’t think I can, I do it anyway! He always emphasizes the importance of education.

He makes me believe that I have powerful capabilities and I dream to be a very wonderful, successful and brave person as he is, full of integrity. He tells me every day how much he loves me and I’m ever thankful for him.

My mother is my favourite. She is the sweetest person on earth. She doesn’t scold me much; instead she even saves me from daddy’s spankings sometimes because she’s very kind. She is also very beautiful. She doesn’t go out for work because she has to take care of my younger sister.

She takes out time for me every day no matter how tired she is and helps me with my homework and talks about a whole lot of sensible things that teach me to be a person of strong moral character. She is a wise woman. Unlike many others, she is a good steward and she likes to spend her money very wisely.

She maintains order in the house and makes our house look so beautiful. Although sometimes when I leave my room so messed up she scolds me but then she cleans it and makes it so tidy that I’m hardly able to recognize it any more. She makes me so happy that sometimes I dance around to show off me elegance and she joins me.

Little things like that make my heart rejoice and make my day. She cooks the most delicious food in the world. I dread those days when I will have to leave my home someday to go away for studies; I don’t know how I will survive without her. She is God’s most wonderful gift to me.

My younger sister has not started school yet but she’s very mischievous just as I am. We are kind of click together. Sometimes I playfully irritate her and she cries to mummy and then I feel bad. So I try to take good care of her too.

I love my family very much and I’m so grateful for my parents.

A family is a group of people who are related by blood or heritage. These people are linked not only by blood but also by compassion, love, and support. A person’s character and personality are shaped by his or her family. There are various forms of families in today’s society. It is further subdivided into a tight and extended family (nuclear family, single parent, step-family, grandparent, cousins, etc.)

Family – A synonym for trust, comfort, love, care, happiness and belonging. Family is the relationship that we share from the moment we are born into this world. People that take care of us and help us grow are what we call family, and they become lifelines for us to live. Family members have an important role in deciding an individual’s success or failure in life since they provide a support system and source of encouragement.

It does not matter what kind of family one belongs to. It is all equal as long as there are caring and acceptance. You may be from a joint family, same-sex partner family, nuclear family, it is all the same. The relationships we have with our members make our family strong. We all have unique relations with each family member. In addition to other things, a family is the strongest unit in one’s life.

Things That Strengthens The Family

A family is made strong through a number of factors. The most important one is of course love. You instantly think of unconditional love when you think of family. It is the first source of love you receive in your life It teaches you the meaning of love which you carry on forever in your heart.

Secondly, we see that loyalty strengthens a family. When you have a family, you are devoted to them. You stick by them through the hard times and celebrate in their happy times. A family always supports and backs each other. They stand up for each other in front of a third party trying to harm them proving their loyalty.

Most importantly, the things one learns from their family brings them closer. For instance, we learn how to deal with the world through our family first. They are our first school and this teaching strengthens the bond. It gives us reason to stand by each other as we share the same values.

No matter what the situation arises, your family will never leave you alone. They will always stand alongside you to overcome the hardships in life. If anyone is dealing with any kind of trouble, even a small talk about it to the family will make ones’ mind lighter and will give them a sense of hope, an inner sense of strength to fight those problems.

One cannot emphasize enough on the importance of family. They play a great role in our lives and make us better human beings. The one lucky enough to have a family often do not realize the value of a family.

My fellow Americans:

The holiday season is a time of gift giving and merrymaking; a time when millions help churches, synagogues, and organizations like the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots provide for the less fortunate among us, a time when huge turkey dinners are cooked, parents find themselves staying up late wrapping toys, and children's eyes are filled with more and more excitement every day—a time, indeed, when all the world seems taken up with plans and celebrations and family.

That last word, "family," is one that I'd like to consider for a moment. To be sure, family is very much on our minds during the holidays, as children and grandchildren, parents and grandparents, gather to share the happiness of the season. We know how good it feels to be with our families—how it warms and comforts us, how it gives us strength and joy. But I wonder whether we always give our families all the appreciation they deserve. Consider, for example, that the philosopher-historians Will and Ariel Durant called the family "the nucleus of civilization." They understood that all those aspects of civilized life that we most deeply cherish—freedom, the rule of law, economic prosperity and opportunity—that all these depend upon the strength and integrity of the family. If you think about it, you'll see that it's in the family that we must all learn the fundamental lesson of life—right and wrong, respect for others, self-discipline, the importance of knowledge, and, yes, a sense of our own self-worth. All of our lives, it's the love of our families that sustains us when times are hard. And it is perhaps above all to provide for our children that we work and save.

Some have suggested that in today's world, the family has somehow become less important. Well, I can't help thinking just the opposite: that when so much around us is whispering the little lie that we should live only for the moment and for ourselves, it's more important than ever for our families to affirm an older and more lasting set of values. Yet, for all that, in recent decades the American family has come under virtual attack. It has lost authority to government rule writers. It has seen its central role in the education of young people narrowed and distorted. And it's been forced to turn over to big government far too many of its own resources in the form of taxation.

Even so, the family today remains the fundamental unit of American life. But statistics show that it has lost ground, and I don't believe there's much doubt that the American family could be, and should be, much, much stronger. Just last month, I received a report on this from my Working Group on the Family, providing recommendations for giving the family new strength. Our administration will be giving these recommendations serious consideration in the days ahead. But for now we might all do well to keep our families in mind, to make certain that we don't take them for granted. For perhaps at no other time of the year are we able to enjoy our families so thoroughly or see so clearly their importance to ourselves and our country.

And let us remember that in the midst of all the happy bustle of the season there is a certain quietness, a certain calm: the calm of one still night long ago and of a family-father, mother, and newborn child. Listen for a moment to the words of the Scriptures:

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them. And they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you. Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

Now, some revere Christ as just a great prophet. Others worship Him as the Son of God. But to all, this season in which we mark His birth is indeed a time of glad tidings. So, in the midst of our celebrations, let us remember that one holy family in a manger on that still night in Bethlehem so long ago and give renewed thanks for the blessings of our own families. And, yes, let us pray for "peace on earth, good will toward men."

Dear teachers and students!

Greetings to all. and thank you to all of you to give me chance to give a speech.

I feel so fortunate to have a family that is so loving and encouraging. My parents, my older sister, and I make up my family.

My parents have always taken care of me, giving me all I require and encouraging me in all that I do. They have inspired me to always be my best self and have taught me priceless lessons.

In addition to being my sister, my sister is also my closest friend. Even though we may have had our fair share of disagreements while growing up, we have always stood by each other and maintain a close relationship.

My family and I enjoy being together, which is one of my favourite things about them. We constantly find ways to have a good time and create lasting memories, whether it’s watching a movie at home or taking a family vacation.

Every day I am thankful for my family and can’t picture living without them. They helped mould me into the person I am today, and for that, I will always be grateful.

Overall, I am extremely grateful to have my family in my life since they mean the world to me. I will always treasure the time we spend together since I love them so much.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has always been a family-oriented organization. In “ The Family: A Proclamation to the World ,” leaders of the Church declared, “We . . . solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.” Family is at the core of Church doctrine, and Church members are encouraged through that same proclamation to “multiply and replenish the earth” by responsibly raising and caring for the children they are blessed with.

Family is a concept that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe existed even before the world began. Members believe that before this life, all people lived with God as a family. Another tenet of Church doctrine is the idea that families can be together forever; that family units will continue after this life if we keep God’s commandments. For this reason, genealogy is of particular importance in the Church. Marriages performed in LDS temples are called sealings because they are intended to last for eternity. These sealing ceremonies bind both the couple and their families from previous generations to form a common, eternal link. Doing genealogy creates an affinity for those who have passed on, and Church members take seriously their responsibility to help connect their current family with their ancestors.

In the family, husband and wife are “obligated to help one another as equal partners” in trying to follow God’s will. While men and women take on different responsibilities in the family, the blessings described in “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” will come most strongly into their lives as they work in unity. Family life can be difficult, and individual circumstances are unique, but members of the Church are able to move forward with hope knowing that they are following God’s commandments and that, despite the trials and hardships, their families will continue after this life.

Jason Kelce has backed Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker over his controversial commencement speech, stressing the importance of family.

Butker sparked major controversy earlier this month when he addressed graduates at Benedictine College, after claiming women should prioritize being 'homemakers' instead of pursuing careers, while also taking aim at the LGBTQ + community, abortion advocates and more in an opinion-dividing speech.

However, while some have criticized the Super Bowl winner, retired Philadelphia Eagles legend Kelce sought a more positive outlook on Butker's address, even though he admitted that he didn't agree with the entirety of the speech.

The former Super Bowl-winning center claimed that Butker shared an important message about family.

'He talks about family,' Kelce said on the latest episode of New Heights . 'I don't think we have enough people talking about the foundation of family and the seriousness of parenthood.

'If you're going to embark on being a parent, I do think it needs to be the most important thing in your life. If your kids aren't the most important thing in your and your wife's life, you are failing in my opinion.

'I also don't think women, for the most part, are the issue here. I think there's a much bigger issue with another gender in terms of raising kids.

'We've played our entire careers with people that we don't align on with everything. I don't know I've played with one teammate that he and I have agreed with every single thing that each one of us thinks. And that's the beauty! You find a way to work together.'

Kelce's brother, Travis Kelce, who is a Chiefs teammate of Butker, also broke his silence on the saga during the episode. He stood up for his teammate against the cancel culture backlash, even though he disagreed with it almost entirely.

Jason, who has three young daughters with his wife Kylie, added that the reactions from the people who actually know Butker, such as Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs coach Andy Reid and Travis, carried more value than those on the internet.

'It's always great to hear from people who really actually know people than a bunch of people reacting to comments without really having met the guy,' he said.

'I think the teammates reactions, Andy Reid's reaction - you learn about people on a daily basis. There are always going to be opinions that everybody shares that you are going to disagree with.

'Make no mistake about it, the things he said in the commencement speech are not things that I align myself with. But he's giving a commencement speech at a Catholic university and shocker, it ended up being a very religious speech.

'To me, I can listen to somebody talk and take great value in it when he is talking about the importance of family and the importance of a great mother - while also acknowledging that not everybody has to be a homemaker if that's not what they want to do in life.

'When you listen to somebody, you take in what you like and you listen to other things and say I don't f***ing like that.'

'I've had so many people ask me what would you do if your daughters had to sit there and listen to someone tell them after they have just earned a degree that they should just go and align to be homemakers.

'I would say that if my daughters listen to someone tell them what to do, that they should be homemakers, I failed as a dad,' Jason said.

'Like what the f**k are you talking about? I don't care who's talking to them, if you let somebody up on a stage tell you that you can't do that, and then you're like "oh f**k, I guess I won't go be a CEO"... then you're not gonna make it!

'If you don't like what somebody says, all you gotta do is just say: "That guy's a f***ing idiot" - and then you move on. I don't get what the whole fuss is about quite honest.'

Kelce then backtracked by stressing that he does understand the controversy surrounding Butker's remarks, before making a joke about his wife Kylie when discussing her thoughts on the commencement speech .

'I get what the fuss is about, because I know that certain groups have been persecuted against for a long period in this country,' he continued.

'And women in particular, obviously my wife... I think she was a little bit frustrated with some of these comments.

'Initially I said listen, you're gonna have to go back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich. I'm listening to the game right now.'

The Kelce brothers then burst into laughter before Travis said: 'We were doing so good! We were killing it!'

Jason then added: 'I hope she didn't hear that.'

College-educated and working women across X are coming to the defense of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker after his recent graduation speech at Benedictine College garnered backlash from many across the web and popular media for containing allegedly "sexist" remarks.

The string of posts seemingly began with "Out of Context" podcast host Noelle Fitchett making her rallying cry to women of a similar mindset, writing on the platform Thursday, "Can we start a trend with women with degrees and careers but agree with Harrison Butker’s speech?"

"I’ll go first," she continued, "My name is Noelle, I have three degrees, and I agree that the world needs more masculinity and that wives/mothers are vital for society."

Others followed suit.

"I graduated last week with my second Bachelors degree as class Valedictorian. I was the only one with kids (6 and 4). Startling [sic] a second career after being a stay at home mom for 5 years and loved every single second. start new job in July," an account by the name Mamavestor chimed in.

Tara Ross, retired attorney and author of "Why We Need the Electoral College," wrote, "I am a Rice University grad and a UT Law School grad. I know a ton about the Electoral College, constitutional history, and American history in general. I have authored multiple books. The greatest thing I've done in my life, however, are my family/kids. I agree with Harrison Butker. More wives and mothers, please,"

"Hi my name is Rupali," said another, "I’m a Johns Hopkins educated, double board certified and licensed, practicing physician, but building my family, our legacy is my greater honor. I agree with Harrison Butker! More wives and mothers please!!"

Butker's words during the May 11 commencement speech grew contentious as he shifted his focus to the female members of the audience and mentioned the significance of becoming a wife and mother.

"I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you," he said. "How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world."

He shifted the focus to his wife, Isabelle, who he stated would be the first to say that her life "truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother." He also praised her for making his success possible. The remarks were met with applause.

Butker earned the support of Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, and Hall of Fame college football coach Lou Holtz, among others.

Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, had a different opinion.

"It is a choice. It is a woman’s choice whether she is just a mom. It is a woman’s choice whether she decides to be a career woman," she said. "It is a woman’s choice if she decides to do both and balance and do all that. And I think for someone to get up at a commencement speech and tell women who have been working their butts off for four years, possibly paying their way and are now in debt and they’re gonna need a career, that their biggest success story will be being a mom and a wife and don’t get me wrong, that might be. But it’s their choice whether they do that or not.

"To tell them they have been ‘diabolically lied to,’ you know, in a world where it’s tough. I feel like we constantly tear each other down. I feel like to build each other up, to build men and women up, not tear either down because, you know what, there’s some bright a-- women that can change this world. And to tell them that they don’t really belong in the workplace …"

On X, the swath of support for Butker also received backlash.

Kathia Woods, a journalist, replied to Fitchett's post, writing, "Many of us are wives, mom and wait for it hold degrees. I stayed home for two years with my daughter and it was great but we could afford it and wait for it was my choice. No man or society forced me into it. That’s key part Harrison missed it should be our choice. Not his."

"But that isn't what he said that was the issue. He told the women, who like you, were sitting in that chair because of their hard work, time, money, and tears, that they're going to end up as stay at home moms end of story. That doesn't have to be the case," another said, also replying to Fitchett.

Some left-wing voices defended Butker's right to free speech shortly after.

HBO's Bill Maher, for one, said, "I don't see what the big crime is" when touching on the subject.

Whoopi Goldberg also set herself apart from the rest of "The View" as the others took shots at Butker.

"Listen, I like when people say what they need to say. He’s at a Catholic college. He’s a staunch Catholic. These are his beliefs and he’s welcome to 'em," she said.

"I don’t have to believe 'em. I don’t have to accept them… The same way we want respect when [former NFL quarterback and civil rights activist] Colin Kaepernick takes a knee, we want to give respect to people whose ideas are different from ours."

Kylie Kelce Was ‘A Little Bit Frustrated’ With Harrison Butker’s Graduation Speech, Jason Says

Kylie Kelce took issue with certain parts of Harrison Butker ’s controversial graduation speech — as did her husband, Jason Kelce .

“A lot of the things he said in his commencement speech are not things that I align myself with, but he was giving a commencement speech at a Catholic university and — shocker — it ended up being a very religious and Catholic speech,” Jason, 36, said during the Friday, May 24, episode of his and brother Travis Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast. “To me, I can listen to someone talk and take great value in it.”

Kylie, 31, however, had a different initial reaction.

“Obviously, my wife — she was, I think, a little bit frustrated by some of the comments,” Jason said before sarcastically adding, “I said, ‘Listen, you’re gonna need to go back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich. [There’s] a game right now.’”

Jason and Travis, 34, then burst out laughing at the “ridiculous” joke, teasing that they’d done a good job of keeping the conversation serious until that point.

“I hope she doesn’t hear that,” Jason mumbled.

Butker, 28, delivered the commencement address at Benedictine College in Kansas earlier this month. In his speech, he made controversial comments on the LGBTQIA+ community, IVF and surrogacy, women becoming stay-at-home mothers and more.

The kicker, who plays with Travis on the Kansas City Chiefs, has not publicly addressed the backlash, but the NFL quickly distanced itself from Butker’s comments. Both Travis and Jason, meanwhile, pointed out that they can respect his beliefs despite feeling differently themselves.

“Like, when he’s talking about the importance of family and the importance that a great mother can make … [I] can also acknowledge that not everybody has to be a homemaker if that’s not what they want to do in their life,” Jason explained. “When you’re listening to somebody you take in things that you like [and] you listen to other things and say, ‘I don’t f—king like that.’”

Jason further noted that pursuing parenthood — he shares daughters Wyatt, 4, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 14 months, with Kylie — is very serious. Jason also doesn’t think that “women are the issue here,” explaining that there’s a larger issue regarding dads raising children.

“I don’t think we have enough people talking about the foundations of families and the importance and the seriousness of parenthood,” he said. "If you are going to embark on being a parent, I do think it needs to be the most important thing in your life. If your kids are not the most important thing in you and your wife’s life, you are failing, in my opinion.”

Thinking about his own family, the retired Philadelphia Eagles center further spoke about how he would feel if his girls were in the crowd during Butker’s speech.

“If my daughters listen to anybody tell them what to do [and] that they should be homemakers, then I’ve failed as a dad,” Jason said. “What the f—k are you talking about? I don’t care who’s talking to them. If you let somebody up on a stage tell you that you can’t do that, then [think], ‘Well, f—k, I guess I can’t be a Fortune 500 CEO,’ like, you aren’t gonna make it.”

He continued, “If you don’t like what somebody says all you gotta say is, ‘That guy’s a f—king idiot,’ and then you move on.”

Treatment and Intervention for Hearing Loss

No single treatment or intervention for hearing loss is the answer for every child or family.
Intervention plans will include close monitoring, follow-ups, and any changes needed along the way.
There are many different options for children with hearing loss and their families.

Treatment and intervention overview

Treatment and intervention options for hearing loss in children include

Working with a professional (or team) who can help a child and family learn to communicate.
Getting a hearing device, such as a hearing aid.
Joining support groups.
Taking advantage of other resources available to children with a hearing loss and their families.

Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Programs

Every state has an EHDI program. EHDI works to identify infants and children with hearing loss. EHDI also promotes timely follow-up testing and intervention services for any family whose child has a hearing loss.

Hearing loss can affect a child's ability to develop speech, language, and social skills. The earlier a child who is deaf or hard-of-hearing starts getting services, the more likely the child's communication (speech or sign language) and social skills will reach their full potential.

Early intervention program services help young children with hearing loss learn communication and other important skills. Research shows that early intervention services can greatly improve a child's development.

Babies who are diagnosed with hearing loss should begin to get intervention services as soon as possible, but no later than 6 months of age .

There are many services available through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act 2004 (IDEA 2004). Services for children from birth through 36 months of age are called Early Intervention or Part C services. Even if your child has not been diagnosed with a hearing loss, he or she may be eligible for early intervention treatment services. The IDEA 2004 says that children under the age of 3 years (36 months) who are at risk of having developmental delays may be eligible for services. These services are provided through an early intervention system in your state. Through this system, you can ask for an evaluation.

Special Education (3-22 years)

Special education is instruction specifically designed to address the educational and related developmental needs of older children with disabilities, or those who are experiencing developmental delays. Services for these children are provided through the public school system. These services are available through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act 2004 (IDEA 2004), Part B.

Assistive Technology

Many people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing have some hearing. The amount of hearing a deaf or hard-of-hearing person has is called "residual hearing." Technology does not "cure" hearing loss but may help a child with hearing loss to make the most of their residual hearing. For those parents who choose to have their child use technology, there are many options, including

Hearing aids
Cochlear or brainstem implants
Bone-anchored hearing aids
Other assistive devices

Hearing Aids

Hearing aids make sounds louder. They can be worn by people of any age, including infants. Babies with hearing loss may understand sounds better using hearing aids. This may give them the chance to learn speech skills at a young age.

There are many styles of hearing aids. They can help many types of hearing losses. A young child is usually fitted with behind-the-ear style hearing aids because they are better suited to growing ears.

A family with an infant visits the audiologist to have their child fitted for a hearing aid.

Cochlear and Auditory Brainstem Implants

A cochlear implant may help many children with severe to profound hearing loss—even very young children. It gives that child a way to hear when a hearing aid is not enough. Unlike a hearing aid, cochlear implants do not make sounds louder. A cochlear implant sends sound signals directly to the hearing nerve.

Persons with severe to profound hearing loss due to an absent or very small hearing nerve or severely abnormal inner ear (cochlea), may not benefit from a hearing aid or cochlear implant. Instead an auditory brainstem implant may provide some hearing. An auditory brainstem implant directly stimulates the hearing pathways in the brainstem, bypassing the inner ear and hearing nerve.

Both cochlear and brainstem implants have two main parts. There are the parts that are placed inside the inner ear, the cochlea, or base of the brain, the brainstem during surgery; and the parts outside the ear that send sounds to the parts inside the ear.

Bone-Anchored Hearing Aids

This type of hearing aid can be considered when a child has either a conductive, mixed, or unilateral hearing loss and is specifically suitable for children who cannot otherwise wear ‘in the ear’ or ‘behind the ear’ hearing aids.

Other Assistive Devices

Besides hearing aids, there are other devices that help people with hearing loss. Examples of other assistive devices include

Frequency Modulation (FM) System . An FM system is a device that helps people with hearing loss hear in background noise. FM is the same type of signal used for radios. These systems send sound from a microphone used by someone speaking to a person wearing the receiver. FM is sometimes used with hearing aids. An extra piece is attached to the hearing aid that works with the FM system.

Captioning. Many television programs, videos, and DVDs are captioned. Television sets made after 1993 are made to show the captioning. You don't have to buy anything special. Captions show the conversation spoken in soundtrack of a program on the bottom of the television screen.

Other devices. There are many other devices available for children with hearing loss. Some of these include

Text messaging
Telephone amplifiers
Flashing and vibrating alarms
Audio loop systems
Infrared listening devices
Portable sound amplifiers
TTY (Text Telephone or teletypewriter)

Medications and Surgery

Medications or surgery may also help make the most of a person’s hearing. This is especially true for a conductive hearing loss, or one that involves a part of the outer or middle ear that is not working in the usual way.

One type of conductive hearing loss can be caused by a chronic ear infection. A chronic ear infection is a build-up of fluid behind the eardrum in the middle ear space. Most ear infections are managed with medication or careful monitoring. Infections that don't go away with medication can be treated with a simple surgery that involves putting a tiny tube into the eardrum to drain the fluid out.

Another type of conductive hearing loss is caused by either the outer and or middle ear not forming correctly while the baby was growing in the mother's womb. Both the outer and middle ear need to work together in order for sound to be sent correctly to the inner ear. If any of these parts did not form correctly, there might be a hearing loss in that ear. This problem may be improved and perhaps even corrected with surgery. An ear, nose, and throat doctor (otolaryngologist) is the health care professional who usually takes care of this problem.

Placing a cochlear implant, auditory brainstem implant, or bone-anchored hearing aid will also require a surgery.

Learning Language

Without extra help, children with hearing loss have problems learning language. These children can then be at risk for other delays. Families who have children with hearing loss often need to change their communication habits or learn special skills (such as sign language) to help their children learn language. These skills can be used together with hearing aids, cochlear or auditory brainstem implants, and other devices that help children hear.

Family Support Services

For many parents, their child's hearing loss is unexpected. Parents sometimes need time and support to adapt to the child's hearing loss.

Parents of children with recently identified hearing loss can seek different kinds of support. Support is anything that helps a family and may include advice, information, having the chance to get to know other parents that have a child with hearing loss, locating a deaf mentor, finding childcare or transportation, giving parents time for personal relaxation or just a supportive listener.

Hearing Loss in Children

Hearing loss can affect a child’s ability to develop communication, language, and social skills. The earlier children with hearing loss start getting services, the more likely they are to reach their full potential.
