The introduction of several ICT solutions that were previously unused in this school was done based on the consultations from several teachers in other schools. And finally, the review of the personal experience that was received from conducting this study was presented to get an overview of the general progression of this study and what aspects of it were valuable for personal development within the area of ICT implementation in school. In general, the purpose of this field study was to make the usage of the available ICT solutions more efficient both for the teachers and pupils at that school.

This study sought to establish the use of ICT tools in a primary school classroom with reference to primary schools in High-Glen District. Relevant literature to the study was reviewed. The study utilised the descriptive survey design. The population for the study comprised of forty five teachers and five heads of primary schools. A purposive sample of primary schools located in High-Glen District were selected. From these primary schools, teachers and students were are also selected using the stratified random sampling technique. Questionnaires were used to collect data from primary school heads and teachers. Structured interviews were used to collect data from primary school students. Data collected through questionnaires and structured interviews were quantitatively analysed through calculating statistical measures such as percentages. The following major findings emerged from the data analysis. Firstly, ICT tools are being used for the purpose of enhancing teaching and learning in the classroom. Secondly, there is no ICT maturity in terms of experience and appreciation in the use of ICT tools. The other finding was that there high levels in shortage of ICT tools resulting in low tools to pupil ratio. Given the above findings and conclusions, therefore this study recommends that ICT tools be used for the purpose of enhancing learning and teaching in classroom through learner involvement. Secondly, the government should also aid in the provision of ICT tools in primary schools so that teachers and students get to practically use them. The other recommendation is that teachers need to be trained in using ICT for the benefit of learning and teaching processes.

The aim of this research study is to explore the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in classes at the first stage of primary schools, specifically in the Czech Republic. Firstly, the authors discuss the current state of this research issue, and secondly, they describe their own research which should clarify how, why and how often the teachers at the first stage of primary schools use ICT in their teaching. The findings indicate that although more than 50% of the teachers at primary schools use ICT in their teaching on a daily basis, they need further continuous methodological training which would contribute to their effective use of ICT in classrooms. The results also showed that the teachers who had participated in a methodological course on ICT use appeared to implement ICT in their classes more than those who had not attended such training. In addition, the results revealed that the use of ICT was not influenced by the length of the teaching practice and that...

Teachers‟ training and their active participation in their introduction to innovation, combined with the encouragement of reflection on teaching practice, are important tools for the change of their perceptions. Teachers need continuous training to renew their cognitive skills and cope with new requirements. The present work is a wider research that aimed to explore both ICT application to the Primary schools on the island of Lesvos and their impact upon pupils‟ teaching, learning and cognitive process and behavioural adaptation - according to the opinions of primary school teachers and pupils who work and study at (public) primary schools. In this work, teachers‟ opinions on their training in ICT are presented. There were 118 primary school teachers from the island of Lesvos who took part in that research. 36 teachers were men (30.5%) and 82 were women (69.5%). 37.61% of the teachers had not participated in such training seminars before, while 62.39% had. Teachers‟ questionnaire about ICT used in the present work consists of seven thematic units and includes closed questions. The first thematic unit refers to the usefulness and the use of ICT in the Greek educational system. The second thematic unit refers to teacher‟s role in the modern Greek school. The third thematic unit consists of questions about pupils‟ acquisition of basic IT skills. The fourth unit refers to the factors that impede ICT application to the primary school. The fifth unit deals with issues related to teachers‟ knowledge of educational legislation, guidelines and circulars governing educational practice and the introduction of ICT to the Greek primary school. The sixth thematic unit raises some issues in Greek teachers‟ training in ICT. In the seventh thematic unit, sociological questions, such as the positioning of the school in modern society, are asked. From the analysis of the finds, it seems that most teachers on Lesvos believe from “little” to “enough” that the training in ICT they underwent during their professional career (mainly basic learning skills) was successful or appropriate. Furthermore, teachers stress that their training should be continuous and systematic, and it should not be implemented during the school operation. There is also an important percentage of teachers - from “enough” (42.61%) to “very much” (29.57%) - who believes that teachers have not been informed about and trained sufficiently in what possibilities ICT provides to teaching. Teachers may make use mainly of the Internet Explorer and software packages, such as Microsoft Office Word and “Painting”, but they do not use almost at all the educational software package “Logo”. 63.64% of the teachers can hardly use the electronic mail, something that impedes the communication between educational and school units. It is, of course, remarkable that teachers‟ majority is informed about educational issues electronically through the official website of Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (YPEPTH in Greek) and its various sub-divisions.

This study aimed to explore the use of ICTs by teachers in the primary cycle of the European School Brussels III, a school where, since its establishment, educational culture has been associated with the use of ICTs in everyday teaching. Self-reports on use of ICTs were collected from 43 teachers of the E.S.Br.3, Brussels. The teachers were asked to answer a questionnaire with closed and open questions, related to the use of ICTs in their school. The sample consisted of 43 out of 50 primary cycle teachers of the E.S.Br.3. In order to collect data about use of ICTs, a suitable questionnaire prepared by the researchers based on previous studies and adjusted for the needs of this study. The results showed that the institutional framework for the use of ICTs has proved to be really pressing to the primary cycle teachers participated to this research. Most of the teachers used ICTs despite various problems concerning mainly the infrastructure available at schools. Teachers used the Internet rather than educational software in teaching on the grounds that it was significant part of their habitus on ICTs. To improve their ICT skills they preferred basically to take training seminars on ICTs and to had the existing infrastructure improved, which could also protect students’ physical wellbeing.

In recent days most of the secondary schools in government and private sector are equipped with computers and projectors in Kurnool district. i.e.) these are integral part of ICT and are used by teachers. The role of ICT in education is becoming more and more important and this importance will continue to grow and develop in the 21st century. ICT generally has a positive impact on teaching and learning situations. The adoption and use of ICTs in education have a positive impact on teaching, learning and performance of students. The purpose of this study is to analyze what is happening at schools regarding the integration and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by teachers and to examine teacher's perceptions about what teaching and learning processes can be improved through the use of ICT. In this present study we want to bring out the variation among teachers in using ICT based on the variables like management, locality, medium of instruction, age, qualification, experience, and subject of teaching. Our Primary students (ages 5-11) follow the English National Curriculum, which we offer on both our Rosinka and Krylatskoe Campuses.
Adapted to our local and international context, our Primary school curriculum provides a strong academic foundation, as well as offering diverse learning experiences that challenge, engage, and inspire. We nurture personal characteristics and values, too, ensuring every child is supported to grow socially and emotionally.
English Language
In English, we encourage our children’s love of reading, writing, and literature. Children develop their phonic knowledge, listen, discuss, reflect, and express themselves through their writing, becoming clear and effective communicators.
Taught daily from Years One - Six, our maths curriculum enables our students to master numbers, as well as measurements, data handling, shapes, geometry, algebra, and problem-solving.
In science, our students ask questions, perform experiments, make observations, present data, and use evidence to draw conclusions. They also develop a deeper understanding of ideas across physics, chemistry, and biology.
Art and Design
In weekly lessons, students use colour, texture, patterns, and a range of materials and processes to communicate what they see, feel, and think. Igniting imaginations, lessons are packed with visual, tactile, and sensory experiences.
Our history curriculum teaches students to consider how the past influences the present. Your child will explore what life was like through engaging topics and themes, and learn how beliefs and cultures affect people’s actions today.
Our geography curriculum is packed with practical and creative learning experiences. From making a working model of a volcano to recording topographical data, our students investigate and discover through a hands-on approach.
Harnessing the power of ISM’s education technology – including MacBooks, robotics, 3D printers, green screens and iPads – students find, explore, analyse, exchange, and present information responsibly and creatively.
Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
Regular PSHE lessons help our children grow into strong individuals and members of society. Your child will also develop the skills and attitudes they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives.
Alongside our Core Curriculum, specialist teachers, musicians, and coaches at our international primary school in Moscow, provide exceptional musical, linguistic, and PE opportunities for our students.
Modern Foreign Languages
A high-quality language education fosters our students’ curiosity and deepens their understanding of the world. We offer Russian to all students, from beginners to native speakers. French and Spanish are introduced in Key Stage 2.
On our extensive music programme, students can learn multiple instruments, play in our ensembles, or sing in a choir. We also offer an exciting schedule of concerts and workshops, where students showcase their talents.
Our PE curriculum is packed with team and individual activities, including gymnastics, basketball, swimming, ice-skating, football, tennis and athletics. There are also opportunities to compete in inter-House competitions, sports days, and swimming galas.
At our international primary school in Moscow, our teachers bring learning to life in practical ways through our extra-curricular programme. This includes excursions to local museums and places of interest, as well as – from Year Four – exciting residential trips in Russia. Your child will also have access to a range of After-School Activities and community service opportunities, not to mention Work Experience opportunities for our oldest students.
Personal development
Each child is a unique individual, and we take a tailored approach to developing their personal wellbeing and confidence, as well as their strength of character. We develop strategies that encourage a productive response to adversity. And we always make sure our children can find a caring, listening ear when they need one.
We support our children to develop a range of ‘Success Skills’, which are personal character traits they hone throughout their Primary years. These include critical reflection, independence, creative thinking, respect, self-discipline, communication, resilience, courage, and self-care.
At ISM, we combine the highest British standards with exceptional personalised support, enabling your child to achieve great things – academically, personally, creatively, and socially – from an early age.
